a sign of things to come the BBC who for some reason it seems actually being quite damning of this government at the moment have done a study into reoffending rates in the UK and the fact that they they actually use a Tory policy surprise surprise to demonstrate this point but under the ear early release scheme under the Tories people were being released 18 days early before their sentence ended that policy was brought in in October to try and ease the overcrowding inside prisons now at the moment they're refusing to give us the actual figures but inevitable recalls as they call it are now happening especially but they focused on Nottingham by the way so that the inevitable recalls are now taking place at what it seems to be quite an alarming rate the reoffending rates in Britain are between 23 and 31% currently the exact figure is about is is 25.1% and this is just a few people just imagine when labor released their 5,000 criminals into the public again some of them who may have served long sentences some have done shorter some might be there for minor crimes some will be there for more serious crimes they come out they have no homes to go to the hosts they get put in temporarily are full they end up on the streets what happens they reoffend just to go back into prison because they've got absolutely nothing out here they've got nothing to eat at least if they go back inside they get three meals a day in a roof over their heads and the overcrowding problem will then become sort of a merrygoround a carousel if you will because those people that have now been locked up for rioting and social media posts will have to be released early to make way for the criminals that were released to make way for them in the first place this is going to be a disastrous policy not to mention the victims of crime that there will inevitably be when these people are put back on the streets
