FSU Kicker's Plan to IMPROVE on Last Year's GREAT Season

Intro but Ryan first I want to start um you you've been with this program just as long as anybody in the room it's kind of you Mo Darius uh hope I'm not forgetting anybody but the last remnants of the class of 2019 and can you just talk about how different is the program Now versus the one you walked into uh complete 180 just the CH the chemistry of the team you know in the past six years has changed a lot the dynamic um you the talent level just the Brotherhood How do you keep yourself going and you know we look at a team that you came into Miss misses a bowl game now you guys are uh 13 and0 should have been national champions in a lot of a lot of people's opinions um how do you all keep yourself going where it's like okay we we've made this great climb now we've had the undefeated season but not get complacent to realize like hey it's just as hard to have that second third win season as to do it the first time yeah it's just the standard that coach noral preaches every day to us you know getting 1% better and uh being our best every day so and as What is the focus of the spring y'all are y'all are getting ready for spring what uh what is the focus of the spring specifically obviously it's all getting better but you have 14 practices what are you trying to focus on for the next 14 practices what you get ready or to get yourself ready for a big 2024 in the fall yeah I think all of us you know it's just bringing our competition out of each other each and every day um you know for me personally just each and every day trying to find something to get better on you know try to repeat last season do better and uh help this team the best way I can is there More distance anything you can kind of maybe tease for the uh the fans that are watching this live of something they might see from Ryan Fitzgerald they they didn't see last year is it more distance is it uh you're damn near perfect last year so it's kind of hard for them to see much but what what's the most improved element of your game going to be4 really shooting from more distance you know that and just you know getting as many points on the board as possible did we see you hit a couple 60 yarders yesterday is uh yes up there saw up there yeah yeah okay have we got any Lowest and high point Ryan specific questions in the chat uh going into last season you end up tur one the better Seasons last year as a kicker uh since Roberto what was your after what was your lowest point and what Turned the Lights On uh in last season um I'd say the lowest point was the kick I missed at wake just you know was 10 for 10 at that point and wanted to keep that street going but um you know I'd say just the high point was probably the kick in the ACC Championship game just to seal the deal and so that was really special cuz that's something that we you know me Darius Maurice and JB you know all them boys we all talked about wanting to win a conference title so doing that was really special and I think uh you know Taste of success showing my age a bit here but I remember my my first semester in college at Florida State going with my mom to the championship game and at that point we kind of took playing for and even winning ACC championships for granted you know I've shared this with you but you know we didn't do it for nine years and this year get to sit there with my mom I'm sure a lot of people in our in our chat have similar stories uh in nine years later C us win another one was just so special for the fan base and uh it sounds like for y'all it was it was equally special but how how much does having that taste of it make y'all hungry to win another ACC title and more yeah we want it again and we want more yeah exactly like you said you know um just the taste of success and you know trying to build standard each and every day with that and so yeah looking forward to another year of doing that Final thoughts and more awesome Kev we got any more okay uh Ryan always been a big fan of fellow soccer player Thomas resident how hard is it to tune out the noise during big moment um you know I think it goes back to just my process you know something that I've done a thousand times leading up to it and just trus in that and knowing that you know if I go through the elements of my process that I'm going to put myself in the best position to be suc successful uh you know well first and foremost you know going there for business you know we want to win the game want to dominate and you know it'll be cool too to to just you know I've never been to Ireland I
