yes that tibo former Miss Universe demily tibo holds books signing in Jacksonville Demi Lee tibo misss home in New York Monday on her multicity tur 4 a crown that lasts you are not your label her part Memoir part self-help book the former Miss Universe thought ahead to Saturday her last stop it's a book signing at books a million 738 Marsh Landing Parkway in Jackson Ville Beach and it's about 12 minutes away from where she lives with husband Tim tibo the former star University of Florida and NFL quarterback turned sports broadcaster and their three dogs being home again she said sounds so nice tibo 29 has been through a few years of self-reflection preparing to write her debut as an author the South African native knew she had a message to share how to figure out your purpose when you have to give up a huge chunk of your identity such as a Miss Universe Crown but first she had to spend time looking inward it's been a long time in the making and it wasn't always easy she said there were times I had to dig deeper peel off the labels placed on me by Society work through the mistakes I've made and the pain I've experienced but one thing remained the calling and responsibility I felt to share this message with the world W publishing which released the book Tuesday said tbo's word work presents her vulnerable Reflections into the complexities of tying personal identity to success navigating faith and using her voice to create positive impact from overcoming unexpected detour to finding a greater purpose tibo's candid debut is guaranteed to strike a chord with vast audiences and readers alike TBO acknowledged that having to give up a crown and the accompanying Fame and Glory may not be relatable to most readers but losing a part of one's identity surely is for people who have lost jobs or careers or for emptiness parents grieving children who left home for college she said it's a big part of their lives she said don't take her as an expert by no means do I have it all figured out she said but tibo hopes that other people can learn from her experiences I want every reader to make it applicable to their own life she said the goal she said is believing in their own value one of her labels was 2,000 17 Miss Universe although she treasured the experience the moment she handed off the title to the 2018 winner she found herself a bit of drift she had developed personal ties to the crown that did not last I had to give it back she said for years tibo had been on a mission to further her career working toward the next accomplishment the next prize she said who am I now she asked herself what's next then came came the self-reflection I had to untangle my identity she said tibo likened what had to happen next to gardening planting seeds of purpose removing weeds of doubt and working toward a flourishing life. in her post pageant life TBO has continued unbreakable which features a confidence building conference with keynote speeches Hands-On workshops and advice from experts in Psychology and self-defense she also has taken on a new issue human trafficking in conjunction with her husband's nonprofit the Tim TBO Foundation every year the foundation does a campaign for a specific cause on each of the tibo's birthdays this year Tim tibo's birthday campaign unknown and unfinished directly funds the fight against human trafficking and child exploitation initially Demi tibo wondered whether her and the foundation's efforts could even make a dent against trafficking which victimizes an estimated 50 million people worldwide and has an estimated annual profit of $150 billion according to the Department of Homeland Security then she realized helping save just one more life made a difference I have a big heart for fighting for women all over the world she said helping women brings me so much joy she also founded the TBO Group which is a talent management and investing firm among other other things tibo began writing the book in July 2023 her husband since 2020 an accomplished author himself was supportive from running a hot bath for her sore neck bringing her coffee and snacks and providing morale boosts I am so grateful for Tim and the experiences he has had she said he is a great sounding board for my life and he had a great influence in the book he's my best friend Jee frette tibo's Global impact off the the field is Hall of Fame stuff tibo finished a crown that lasts in 3 months her tendency to seek Perfection led to rewriting but eventually she surrendered only God can produce Perfection she said the same mindset applies to the tibo home where a sign proclaims welcome if you love dog hair
