SHAKESPEAREAN SAYS ANY SLOWDOWN THAT YOU SHOULD BE AWARE OF YOUR THURSDAY MORNING COMMUTE. >> AND HONORING THE VICTIMS OF ONE OF INDIANA'S MOST NOTORIOUS CRIMES THIS MORNING. IT HAS BEEN 30 YEARS SINCE AUTHORITIES DISCOVERED THE REMAINS OF 8 PEOPLE AT FOX HOLLOW FARMS IN WESTFIELD. ANOTHER VICTIM WAS IDENTIFIED LAST YEAR BRINGING THE TOTAL TO 9 WRTV SNEAK UP. AN EASY IS LIVE FOR US THIS MORNING TO SHARE HOW A NEW MONUMENT WE'LL HELP THEM LIVE ON. GOOD MORNING TO GO. >> GOOD MORNING. KAITLIN. TODAY MARKS THE FIRST TIME THE COMMUNITY HAS GIVEN HONOR AND RESPECT TO THE FOX HOLLOW VICTIMS AND THEIR LOVED ONES IN A PUBLIC DEDICATION. THE MONUMENT WILL HAVE THE NAMES OF THE 9 IDENTIFIED VICTIMS. NOW ALSO BE SPACE ON THE MONUMENT AT ADDITIONAL NAMES. IF MORE VICTIMS ARE IDENTIFIED, IT'S A CAUSE. VERY IMPORTANT, TOO. LEE SAYS LINDA'S IN ACCO WITH HE KNOWS YOUR NAME. WHY IS THIS SOMETHING THAT YOU FELT WAS VERY IMPORTANT THAT THE COMMUNITY DO TO HONOR THESE VICTIMS? IT'S REALLY THE MISSION IN ADDITION AND HE KNOWS YOUR NAME TO HONOR A LIFE AND GIVE NAMES AND DEATH. >> AND I'VE BEEN DOING THIS FOR BABIES FOR 15 YEARS. AND AS I'VE RELATIONSHIPS WITH THE CORONER'S, I COME TO REALIZE THAT ADULTS ARE LEFT UNCLAIMED AS WELL. BE. AND SO WE'VE BEEN WORKING ON THAT PROJECT TOGETHER OVER THE LAST COUPLE OF YEARS. AND THEN WHEN I MET JEFF JEALOUS AND I REALIZED THIS WAS HIS BIG HE INHERITED THIS INVESTIGATION IN HAMILTON COUNTY. AND WHEN I WENT TO HIS OFFICE, THERE WAS A SIGN ON HIS WALL THAT SAID NO LONGER FORGOTTEN. AND I ASKED HIM WHAT THAT WAS IN REFERENCE TO. AND HE HE TOLD ME ALL ABOUT FOX HOLLOW AND ALL THE INTRICACIES OF THE INVESTIGATION AND ALL THIS MEANT. AND HE TALKED ABOUT MEETING ONE OF THE MOTHERS OF THE VICTIMS AND HE SAID TO ME, YOU KNOW, I DON'T KNOW HOW MUCH LONGER SHE'S GOING TO LIVE. AND I PROMISED HER THAT I'M GOING TO HONOR HER SON. AND I SAID THAT'S BEAUTIFUL. HOW YOU CAN DO THAT. AND HE SAID, I HAVE NO IDEA OF THE MIND. THE IDEA CAME TO ME AND REALLY GOD JUST GAVE ME VISION FOR HOW THIS SHOULD LOOK AND MORE IMPORTANTLY, I WAS REALIZING OUR COMMUNITY HAS NOT EMBRACED FAMILIES. THESE THAT THESE FAMILIES HAVE BEEN LEFT ALONE TO SUFFER IN SILENCE AND THAT DECADES AND DECADES FAMILIES. SO LIKE THE GENERATIONS OF OUR COMMUNITY HAVE NOT HAD THE OPPORTUNITY TO EMBRACE THESE FAMILIES HAVE THEIR STORIES TOLD AND COME AROUND THEM AND SHOW THEM NEIGHBORLY LOVE AND SAY WE AS A COMMUNITY OWN THIS STORY TOO. THIS IS A PART OF INDIANA HISTORY AND IT'S TIME IT'S TIME RIGHT? AND SO THE MORE WE STARTED MOVING THROUGH THE JOURNEY OF WHAT COULD THIS LOOK LIKE? WE REALIZED IT REALLY WAS TIME AND HERE WE ARE AND WE WILL BE LAID TO REST. ALSO, SOME OF THE VICTIMS IN AN OSSUARY RIGHT BY THE MONUMENT. SO THIS IS A REALLY SPECIAL DAY BECAUSE IT'S A FUNERAL AND A MONUMENT DEDICATION. SO WHEN FOLKS COME TO THE MONUMENT, WHAT ARE THEY ABLE TO DO WHEN THEY VISIT AND PAY THEIR RESPECTS? WELL, FIRST, WE WILL GO TODAY TO THE FUNERAL WHICH BE INSIDE THE PRAIRIE WATERS BUILDING IN THEIR EVENT CENTER AT 10 O'CLOCK TODAY IN WESTFIELD. AND THEN FROM THERE, WE WILL PROCESSION TOGETHER OUTSIDE CARRYING THE REMAINS OF THOSE THAT WE ARE LAYING TO REST AND THEN WE WILL GO TO THE MONUMENT TOGETHER. IT WILL BE UNVEILED TODAY. SO WE WILL SEE THE CREATIVITY OF THIS GORGEOUS SCULPTURE THAT ARTIST IN CANADA MADE. AND I WILL EXPLAIN WHY I CHOSE THIS PARTICULAR PIECE TO REPRESENT WHAT I THOUGHT LOOKED LIKE HEALING. >> WELL, I HOPE THAT THERE IS A LOT OF HEALING HAPPENING TODAY ON THIS, FUNERAL AND DEDICATION THIS MORNING.
