Project Superbad 427 Hits The Dyno!

all right you got to check this out it's Dino day here at Boost line [Music] performance this is Project Superbad our 427 with a 3 l Whipple supercharger um we're excited today because we're going to throw this thing on the dyno and see what kind of power we can make we're going to be on the E85 we've got scat internals AFR heads LSR block from concept performance Wagner accessory Drive the Whipple like I've already mentioned granatell 112 throttle body BTR cam valve train and we're ready to make some noise so we're getting ready to make some pulls here Tommy's on the keyboard working the Tommy Tunes Magic at 6,600 as you can tell it's kind flat up there it's making a th000 well it's making over 1,000 at 5800 and still making 1,44 at the end of the pool at 7 which I just decided to quit at seven for no real reason other than just to get some data um made Peak torque of 50 921 ft lb at 5,500 making 13.4 lb of boost at the end of the pool and pretty much average of a 101 pounds of oil pressure throughout the pool average torque 920 average horsepower 972 um and that's all the way from 5,500 to 7,000 so that's pretty flat pretty pretty impressive how hot is it outside it's like 106 outside brutal curves look beautiful and it's got a lot left in it yeah so we just ripped on the dyo uh the pulley that we have is he Chase what size pul is that it's a 3225 he can't even hear me because he's in there messing with stuff anyway uh what we decided to do we're going to go to what we call the party pulley which is a smaller pulley bring the boost up our tuneup is super safe at this point you can barely see the timing mark it's fat um so we're going to probably put the smaller pulley on make a rip and then bring the timing up and see how it goes from there so we don't know what we're going to make powerwise but so far it's looking great in the uh super safe tuneup there it goes two differes probably to the size and this one's about 130° and this one is about 89° this one feels a lot better than this one and this one should make about I'm saying 6.5 more pounds boost okay so Chase got the smaller pulley on we've got a 2750 Z and the green belt and because everything else is green I have a feeling it's going to make more power we'll see how it goes good yep [Music] that was odd yeah better see what it's doing she making a boost 16b well we think we just extinguished the fire off of the uh spark plug so what we're going to do is Jank the plugs Gap them a little tighter might replace them throw them back in then we'll make some more pulls [Music] Ry that de rdy Wy 16.9 lb of boost at the end of the rip dang look at that made 9.91 for torque at 5700 RPM 1114 Peak still beautiful oil pressure 16.9 PSI boost average 973 torque average 1029 that's pretty impressive that's why it's called the party pulley the party pulley PR pretty Ry 184 1142 17.1 lb of boost ooh 11428 torque and 1142 100 lb oil there you go it's a wrap 1,000 horse 1,000lb now we're going to put it in a vehicle that's shouldn't have this in [Music]
