so many incredible performances in the pool but it's hard to go past this one Alex down for Paris as a paralympian has the time it's another qualifying time for Lex a little Flex for Lex she's B for Paris an amazing swim and we're so excited to say that Lex joins us now would you please welcome Alexa congratulations you are after your first paral Olympics how does it feel it actually feels I my brain hasn't yet processed it but I am so excited and I am so inspired by the whole team that I'll be going with the par the par athletes and I can't wait I'm so excited Alexa you're the reigning world champion you're qualified for both the women's multiclass 53 and the S9 100 met freestyle how are you feeling are you feeling confident yes I just got my mind set on it I'm like you got this Lex Let's Do It Let's Be The Little Weapon you are let's do this I love it that's that's what we love cuz we saw all the other swimmers saying yeah I was disappointed I wasn't feeling great but you're straight in there with yeah go Lex andil it that's awesome yeah you got to I mean it wasn't the best race for me but at the end of it I said you still did it it still awesome that's awesome you are going to be heading to Paris what are you most looking forward to there yeah I really looking forward to the whole group and team I'm going with we it just like it will be awesome to watch and cheer for them I will absolutely love it and yes there is something else on my mind that I love more than anything yes it's the Crepes for me not going to lie and you did say this very freshly after your swim we do have a clip here I heard you say that when you go to Paris you love Crepes and you want to eat crepes in Paris what is it about Crepes oh I just love them n tell Crepes guys like to be honest with you they're the best they really are they I feel like that's the most honest answer like they're all they're all talking about yeah I can't wait to go to Paris The Prestige of the Olympics competing with my team but you're flat out the Nutella copes yeah all for it I've Got My Mind on it all the time what what about croissants oh I'm in croissant very good like but heated up just perfect in my mouth like oh I love it we love it Al Alex we love your energy you're so excited your family is so excited too we saw your mom and dad during the trials they've been with you through your your whole journey exactly how great of support have they been yeah they've not left my side from day dot and like all my siblings and everything they were by my side for that six months in that hospital and you know not that I have a memory of the accident because I really did upset my brain so I don't actually remember much but I know how much they literally I've got photos videos everything and honestly every single day they would be with me like feeding me absolutely just giving me you know hope that I stay here Alex it is incredible dad spoke so beautifully he said that you you were told that you might not walk or talk ever again and now you're heading to the Paralympics it is just such an amazing incredible achievement you make the rest of us feel so lazy yeah well I had to prove the world wrong I was like I'm going to walk and I'm going to talk I've got this not only that I'm going to head to Paris in the Olympics it is it is incredible enjoy the CRI enjoy the CRI you do you do come from a from a big family you're one of seven kids is that right and they're all coming to Paris with you yes all of them are coming boyfriends girlfriends are all coming as well I am so excited we're going to have that little party again we love that I'm really interested have you got any pre-race routines before a big before a big swim like to be on my own I put myself in a corner away from the other athletes and stuff like that and I just have my coach next to me and I have all these I have music of course the best and I just get the job done and I'm like I'm focusing on what I want so that's how I that's how I work it got what is your goto songs on your playlist upbeat yeah I'm always just having a little dance as well I just love it just brings me so much like hypeness like being especially Fisher he he wins that like he just I'll be so good it just makes me so upbeat there was a little glitch in the phone line there and so you went and fast forward and it looked like you were doing the greatest dance moves of all time that was incredible you're such an inspiration and proof that no dream is too big is there any final message you'd like to share before you head off to the games yeah so like anything is possible you to have a lot of determination drive for like yourself you can do anything and of course to love yourself first that is a big one I see but I would just like to say I want to raise awareness for those people like myself who have a traumatic brain injury so a TBI I call it a totally Brave individual yeah and as it's a hard as it's hard for people to understand and have awareness of traumatic brain injuries so I would just like to say that and bring that out into this we love that message it's love yourself first love Arman
