The Rings of Power Ep. 1: Attack at Forodwaith | MESBG Narrative Battle Report

[Music] thousands of years after vowing to continue the hunt for Sauron gadriel and a company of elves discover an abandoned Fortress in the northern wastelands of forward with they find evidence of black magic and an anvil bearing sauron's Mark gadriel believes this is part of a trail left for Orcs to follow and the company are then attacked by snow trolls are they able to defeat the trolls and avoid injury or will they have to retreat to lynon find out today so the evil player as you can see has got two snow trolls um they are basically motor Trolls but with one less fight value and one more point in defense um so they work we worked matter as the same amount of points as well so they're 100 100 points a piece so 200 points total and the good player has six regular elves as well as gadriel who has the same stats as elrond apart from one less Attack One Less wound one less might will and fate um she's also got a special ability where she can hit and she can wound anything on a four plus but she only gets one attack because of it and all the lves in this scenario are fearless so they don't need to take courage test and if you were interested in a top down view of the scenario and the setup here it is you nerds what's going on guys so this is obviously from the rings of power or R for sure is always called yeah yeah um uh it's going to divide opinion this cuz 98% of the people hate rings of power I don't get how you can hear it it's like where have you got the St of 98 people that's on that's ond yeah but I didn't mind it so um yes it's not amazing but it's a it's a fair it's a fair adaption if we get enough comments saying they don't like it then I won't like it either yeah so we're very much swarm by public vote yeah yeah right we're in a cave ice cave ice cave um so what's good I think I think people will remember this scene yeah I think is it the opening scene one of the opening scenes um and gladel and Company and Company um going to find saour on out yeah they haven't seen any arcs in they said in it they they say they've been searching for decades yeah that's mental in it I know the time the they I know they've got long live I know they've got Long Live fans but seems mad yeah and they hav seen an AR in decades have they yeah and but and they got see much worse yeah je right okay um so as as we said in the start video we've gone through the rules we've had to adapt a few stat lines and stuff for glad Rail and snow trolls when the snow trolls a little bit harder than a k Troll and about the same as a modor troll because I just thought they looked a bit bigger and meaner in rings of power um so the the rules are it's kill or be kill in it yeah K BK yeah um so for on my for my um job is to kill gadriel the rest of the elves don't really matter to me so I'll be focusing all my energy on that sweet young thing um and on for jordy's role he just got to kill these two snow trolls um the turn limit is 10 10 turns as with most Lord of Rings games scenarios if not all good go first so Jordan over to you Retreat Retreat what about different different names for us for this for this campaign cuz Jord and stay are a bit like a bit boring aren they well tell that D are we using JJ jiggle bottom what what if you go by Mr chimp I'll take it I mean the years might give it away so I I'll have that Mr chimp and JJ yeah put your that's Jiggles movement done coming in your ears and your face I mean to to be fair the El probably notic the trolls at the moment have they cuz for some reason you've hidden them behind well that's coming from um coming from they come out of nowhere don't they that troll I mean there was one troll in it but um I didn't think that' be cinematic enough yeah okay also points wise that didn't match up did no no especially when you make glad you're week yeah but in in the fellowship at ring that K trol is absolutely solid and in the game is not that hard right that's all I got to say about that turn prity priority I go first so white dice is JJ blue dice is Miss I went first last time so I was so busy saying your names then I didn't see who won but he'll be on camera um I'm going to let not to move here a FR down yeah you going to throw STS with both of them yeah I've got them into a nice little funnel here right if I it's really hard for me to win this scenario you're going to do all you can oh you have to wait for shooting dir J JJ your move let move back out of out of range oh please don't do this don't you we want to legitimately see how long this battle takes you know you know in previous battles not St sorry Mr Chimp in previous battles as a habit of not being a to use trolls correctly right I think this thr stones again range 12 strength eight pretty yeah it's well in so lose a lot of Rings battle and he's F I'm going to manipulate a scenario where I have more I you can't even class that as a win in my eyes and the thing is because we're following along with show we s of need good to win every scenario yeah not for me I'm out to kill people I don't like elves I'm just going to throw it out there so it would have made sense for me to have more points in this battle bad about losing this thing it is the first scenario in the campaign I mean I've lasted longer than the other i s troll anyway yeah that M died real quick it is the first battle in the campaign that's s of geared towards good winning yeah when we get to last liance yeah speci Special rules helped him a lot here yeah well you invented him yeah bit me in the ass AR it right all right uh bunch of attacks against one troll so the big ones are gladel Ohad what's your highest one five which will be a four should be a far uh and a far so you win I win so obviously they're all going against glad I think that's um that goes without without saying only need three defense five so glad Real's about to get get get in get it in a beautiful little face can you believe that just a one hold on then so how many F have you got two past [ __ ] pass no drama we're still going turn seven um as you know we use this dice for turns which should really get a different method come on man I tra in air J elves didn't help out much did the god sort of killed the thing on his on their own all right all right so extra attacks i' dra galadriel's four attacks first cuz she she got higher fight same fight same fight you get six there you go so oh that's one sa me Havens so uh it's a one two three baddi's win yeah let's just say if one two three I win four five six you win nice co so it's a whole hell of a lot of attacks here so I'll use all Gad reals first doing we do two just do everyone at the same time so she's only got two attacks cuz I'm going do the four plus one no she got one attack yeah but double that because we thing in oh yeah no that's H should still only be one though I just have i' have four attacks CU that D it doubles your normal attacks no don't double a Special Rule attack does it all right so she has to get a six to wound it with four dice or you need one four to get one wound only do you think you're going to throw just one I've got 10 attacks with these that's what five of them that's what JJ's known to be being scared yeah he's a three in away mover yeah yeah he is yeah yeah strange away true Godel did wound to be Fair's got a wound and then oh ell took my pen oh no the fives go down don't in this oh no it's to wound is it yeah so the fives go up to a six and then for one wound you need now yeah get two threes by gum he's done it by gum he's done it that's it took eight took seven turns I killed one Health oneth killed one Health last week as well one Health Lo men so Mr chimp not so good at lot of rings it turns out yeah oh unfair R oh the scenario would gear towards the good player it has it should be so scenario well if that's rings of power in a nutshell in a nutshell we're done with it now we're going to move on to something else which is our frantic couple of hours setup 10 minute game yeah stretch out over a three hour period and a lot of a lot of distractions in the interim yeah um so what's next What scenario is next well depending on how well this video does so you got a like And subscribe yeah if we get x amount of views on it we'll do another one but if not we'll [ __ ] it off and do some yeah gasull up or something or
