morning everyone we will start off with our first press con Conference of the day we are joined here with ludvig oberg ludig you're making your BMW Championship debut want to start off with what's excitement as you're entering your second playoff event yeah absolutely um I think I've looked forward to the playoffs for a long time and and to be here um at a course where no one's been before it's it's quite encouraging and exciting so really looking forward to it just got done with the pram what are your initial thoughts of the course and playing an elevation yeah it presents some challenges for sure that uh a golf course um at sea level doesn't uh I think these first couple days we just try to I guess adjust get a baseline um I do have some experience playing at sea level or elevation so I'm not too uncomfortable doing that um but the golf course is really pretty very beautiful um but it's a it's quite the walk perfect with that we'll open up to questions media if you have a question raise your hand we'll get a mic over to you we're going to start off front left here with Cameron Xander Scotty Xander and Scotty have each had historic seasons and uh I was wondering if you could choose to have one or the other of those Seasons which would you choose and why um I would take any of them to be honest with you um I think it's really hard to pick I think both of them are unbelievable golfers unbelievable players and um I think they're they're treating I think they're treating the game the right way um I'm very inspired by them um but to pick one of them is really difficult for me and secondly just to follow up is is there something you admire about each of their games or or do they just go about the game very similarly or they do they go at it differently um well I think I've been fortunate to be able to play with them a few times and they don't really have a weakness any of them um I mean they're so well-rounded players they're so good at basically everything that you know you can definitely see why they're playing so well um and you know yeah I think it's great for the tour to have those guys and yeah they're really good players we'll get a microphone over here to Adam this last season technically was your rookie year but you you didn't play very much out here do you feel like you you're just starting to complete your first season out here oh yeah for sure um I almost still consider myself a rookie um with what we said before this my first playoffs and my first kind of going through all the tournaments and the schedule and um I'm still you know figuring out the the lay of the land a little bit um but yeah I still I still consider myself a rookie even though it might not feel that way but um it's uh it's been a very very cool season how would you grade your year and where are you in terms of the goals you wanted to accomplish uh yeah I think it's been I think it's been a lot of learning curves um obviously for me uh being able to play all the big events uh being in situations I'd never been in before um and I felt like I handled it quite well um obviously as as a competitor you always want to do better um and and that's the same thing for me but I feel very fortunate to to be here in this situation and to um and to have a chance for for a play for a playoff run there are guys this week who in in addition to trying to make the 30 for the FedEx Cup trying to qualify for the President's Cup what was that pressure like for you last year and and how did you handle it to qualify for R for the rer cup yeah for you rder cup uh yeah definitely I mean I think everyone wants to be a part of those teams it's uh it's pretty obvious and and it was the same thing for me I mean first when I turned Pro I I guess my first couple tournaments I didn't really think of it that much U I didn't really thought that I was going to be um in the talks for a rider Cup team but as I played a little bit more and then um yeah it was just really cool to be in those talks and um when I had a chance to go over back to Europe and play and and played in cze and and played in Switzerland and and it's just cool to be in those conversations and I felt like I took advantage of it quite well as well and what was it like when you when you got paired with Luke and you knew you know he's checking your game out yeah that was probably the first time that it really hit me um we played first two rounds in Detroit together and that was the first time that I've been around him so it was just nice to I guess create a relationship with him and speak to him um but yeah you could definitely tell that um that he was looking a little bit um but it was uh it was very flattering of course have you had a milkshake yet I haven't I've had some smoothies but I haven't had a milkshake I feel like I need to I need to save those for a little bit later because I feel like if you start too early in the week you're just going to not stop so and as we get a microphone back to Mac or map um I have one is you reflect back to your win last fall at the RSM classic how crucial was that whenn to get you in the category of the A on next 10 and get into to play The Signature Events oh yeah it was it was really big um because I I wasn't in the top 50 uh through the playoffs I I had a chance to play my way into the fall schedule and uh and that propelled me throughout the for the you know remainder of the Season where all of a sudden I got into Maui and I got into the elevated events that I didn't um have a chance to play in before so and then it you know it kind of spiral from there so I was super fortunate to have those experiences and I think that's what's so great about The Fall season that you have the ability to do so and good golf is always going to get rewarded um and and I was fortunate to be able to take advantage of that Matt go ahead you mentioned a new course how much of it have you had the chance to see so far uh I got to play the front nine yesterday and the back nine today uh it's really pretty uh visually it's very nice um it's quite the walk um I was telling Joe my cadd it's I don't think we're going to have a lot of conversations uphill this week it's just going to be focusing on breathing um but uh it's it's very nice it's it's quite challenging um but uh you can definitely see some similarities between Memorial and and some of the Valhalla as well um kind of a mix of that but it's uh it'll be a good challenge to play it feels like there's a good mix of elevation change out there in addition to the altitude what kind of complications might that present yeah I think so I mean playing at elevation or at altitude is is a little bit of a challenge depending on the window that you play it um and that's what I felt like these first couple days uh we really Tred to get a baseline of those things and then obviously it's going to affect if you if you knock it down a little bit or get it up in the air and um but I try to keep it very similar um I don't try to you know complicate it try to simplify it and make it very similar to how I treat a normal tournament back to Cameron uh you mentioned that you have played at elevation where where have you played at elevation and and what did you learn when when you played there uh so the school I went to Texas Tech is at 3,000 ft elevation so uh we would every time you know we were home we would always play a little bit this is more this is around 6,000 I think so it's a little bit more than that but um I think the biggest thing that I learned from that is is just not to over complicate it um I think I just try to keep it very simple I get a baseline instead of my seven iron going 170 it'll go 190 so it's just um a little bit of a difference in that but then I treat it very similar and moving over here to the right side so you it sounds like you've only played them one time but one of the things the organizers of this tournament were interested in in is how 17 and 18 get played this week because during the international the previous Pro tournament that was here the competition was often over it was never uh you know the the the victory was never at stake on a or rarely at stake having played them just once did was there anything about those two holes that you think sets players up for to really come from behind maybe or no those are holes you just got to hang on for uh yeah I mean I think coming down to last couple holes to win the tournament on Sunday you have to hit really good shots and I think because 17 is a reachable uh part five with an iron I think you're going to see some threes you might see some sixes because of the t-ball um and then 18 is a strong part four where you have to hit in the fway to have a chain and then you have a a mid iron to a long iron in so you can definitely see some threes and fives there as well um so yeah I think it's it's a great Golf Course um you have to hit the shots you have to take them on um which which I think it's it's a testament to a good golf course perfect that's all the questions we have with that we wish you the best of luck this week thank you
