what today's Monday I'm sorry Monday I I get screwed off I was thinking yesterday with the holiday was Sunday so actually today's Tuesday en Gman happy old lab that's it brother yeah big week you got it man you got it brother let's get along no I'm I'm I'm saying I'm saying yeah yeah today's Monday because yesterday was Sunday because everybody in the world had off yesterday no no no no no so today's Tuesday so two days actually what about 48 hours from now I guess the uh I guess be pretty much the being over I mean it's unbelievable isn't it I mean the only thing I hate about the football season starting and includes preseason I because it just goes by just so freaking fast you know I mean it's like you you know it's just it is what it is but you're waiting all off season and finally it's here and it's like before you know it I mean before you know it you're GNA turn around it's like we're we're in week five already like what happened what's going on what what you you know it just flies by so fast it's like before you know it be like halfway through January and it's like oh my God The Season's we just all of it the the draft and all of that for and now it's over what the is going yeah so that's the only thing I once it starts it's just like Bam Bam Bam Bam Bam but then then when it's over and then you start doing it all over again right so the one nice thing I do love about it is that the way they got it set up you know they're pretty smart those guys right it's all about right It's All About the Benjamins the market and all that there's always always something you know to look forward to right I mean because you got the playoffs what we what we got the playoffs are what halfway in what July by the time the Super balls done now with all the games and there you know I mean but I mean then after that you know then you got the you know the the um uh the uh with the college you know the the U combine right then you got free agency you know the combine is like toward the end of you know I mean obviously they're scouting all the players and so the combo like toward the end of Fe February then like you know a couple weeks later in March and you got free agency then of course you got the draft coming you know and then you got the little mini camps and all everything so basically I mean with the season is I was like there's like five weeks five or six weeks from like June to July where there's like pretty much nothing going on but and that you know I mean once they come back it's and other thing I do like unfortunately it's not um like televised at all or anything but you know with the uh the the when you're practicing you know going up against like you know what the Giants did with the Lions two times and with the Jets you know that I like unfortunately it's not you know televised but there's some good competition there especially now that we're down to three preseason games and and you know I guess the inevitable is coming around that when we quite possibly the inevitable when we go up to 18 games it's going to go down to two preseason games so like week week five and we are done all right yeah well because you well that's see I mean weeks three to eight or some that's some tough games six games that that's a tough stretch right there tough I mean saying if we can go like maybe four and four that would be nice let's see here David D David D's in the house what's up brother let's see New York work we got Giants yeah he at weeks three to eight oh I mean it's you know I mean you know you just can't just say yeah we you we're gonna beat the Vikes and then of course we're going into Washington we're winning that one you know I mean you know you know yeah Any Given Sunday anything can happen but um it it really would would you know benefit the Giants really if they could wi win the first two games of the season um but I said but then then after that after you know you got the the Vikings and the commers then you got the Browns yeah that's that that'll be tough um then of course then you got the Cowboys [Music] maybe maybe one of these years maybe we'll beat the Cowboys am I asking for too much maybe right wouldn't that be nice I mean they really didn't do a I mean you know if you know bringing back ABCD lamb I mean you okay he was already on the roster you I mean it bring it back Zeke and Dalvin cook is you know okay you know so but then again you know I got you know I want to keep my mouth shut because I'm like LA because last year I mean week one I actually I was drinking the Kool-Aid I actually picked the John I I think I I picked them like 24 23 or something like that you know I thought we closed a gap last year with the Cowboys so I'm just G keep my mouth shut with that but you know the Cowboys really did not do a whole heck of a lot this year so but have to wait and see but so you got the you know obviously the Browns and you got the Cowboys and then you got at the Seahawks then you got the Bengals then you got the Eagles and then you got at Pittsburghs so that's going to be that's that's going to be a tough stretch right there because you figure at Pittsburgh theyve got the Eagles but you know you know I mean you you know I mean you know I mean if saquan can walk and chew gum I mean you know or if something they'll get them on the field somehow you know I mean and you know oh man they're gonna put like they'll have they'll have a nine line scrim you know they'll put like nine offensive linemen Jaylen her just hand ball this you they're going to try to get him yards touches touchdowns whatever they can try to do if uh for Squam then the Bengals least that one's at home so that's nice but at at Seattle we're gonna be talking a little bit more about Seattle in um to the end of this here but oh yeah Seattle course's the Cowboys and then you got uh as I said then Browns but after that let's see we got the commanders at home and then we're playing in Carolina so you know if we can start off 0 and two I'm sorry 0 and two we can start two and0 out those next six games somehow if we can win two we go two and four out of that that murderer Road there that would put us four and four then we have you know two games you know two possible once again winnable games right possible I mean if we can be six and four that would be nice then what do we got we got the buy so that that's nice okay then then of course then we get the bock at home right that's a winnable game we got the Cowboys uh I I this gonna be a yearly ritual where all somewh playing the Cowboys every every other year on Thanksgiving or something I mean I I'm kind of a little lost here I mean the Cowboys would always play like a different team like every other year yeah you know I mean I mean they don't play the same team you know two times in three years I'm I'm a little lost but that but anyway then we got the Saints at home then we got the Ravens at at home then we got the Falcons they they they they quite possibly be quite improved but then we have the Colts home that's a winable one then we got the Eagles so but the thing is like like especially like with the Eagles you I mean you don't know uh you know something as Bob Papa always says it's not who you play it's when you're play him you know like if the Eagles maybe have the the division sewn up or something like that maybe they put their back you know you don't know but uh you know but after we get done with that murderer row you know we got we got some games that certainly are winnable you know without question so I we could be like four and four after the first eight weeks that wouldn't be bad I mean that that would give us certainly give us a good chance uh you know maybe to make some type of a play off push that would be nice that would really really be nice but that is a tough schedule especially from weeks three to eight now of course then what we F figured out of course is that you know um kind of kind of thought all along right d finally confirms that he's taking over the play call on duties they kind of thought that it's official Brian D's taking over were play calling duties for the chines he acknowledged that what most observers expected on Tuesday before practice I mean I don't even know if you know I mean just to be you know I don't even know anybody else call plays at all in the preseason you know be a little weird for him to call almost like every play practice preseason games and all that stuff and all a sudden ah Mike kfy you have to play Call of duy's back I just it's you know so so he got he was asked during the press conference he saide I'm doing it he said and however was as much as he is willing to reveal regarding the decision I forgot who asked him the question might have been Jordan ran he seems that he in those press conferences for some reason I don't know why Jordan ran seems to ask like out of every like every 10 questions for some reason Jordan Manan seems to be asking five of them I'm I'm not sure why but uh his head coach D said he is responsible for everything when asked about taking an extra on extra responsibilities it was speculated dble took over those duties from offens Waring Mike CFA last season though he was never confirmed and cfco remains on the staff in the same position he declined to go into why he made the change repeatedly saying he Focus was on preparing to face the Vikings in week one at MetLife Stadium now you know you know I'm saying you can't blame them you know I mean because especially now right I mean you know things are you know things are going to start getting a little hot for a seat now after the season's over with we don't make the playoffs say we only win seven games you know you got have to put some context though did did you know did you know Daniel Jones get hurt did did Drew lock get hurt blah blah did all our wide receivers get hurt or offensive line get you you I mean so you got to put stuff context to you know but if everybody's relatively healthy and we only win six or seven games and it's not doing too you know what I mean so you know if if he's gonna start going down right with the Titanic you know he wants to go down with guns are blazing you know you know you know if he can call plays and if he's had success in the past call plays you know don't don't don't let it to you know don't let that it's anybody else especially if if you're the best person in that whole organization as far as calling plays calling plays right I mean kafka's probably gone after the season anyway you I can't see why he would wind up hanging around you know especially if he's not calling plays so you so but I mean if D's going down with the ship go go down with guns blazing right call call the plays I can't blame them at all all right all right then Al this Giants are pretty young Giants are giants are pretty young team I mean I think that I think it was I think they were the fourth youngest team how young is the Giants roster Giants have one of the youngest rosters in the league entering this season and you know and if you if you go back and you look right at um you know some of the reason why the Giants aren't as young as they could be a lot of the guys they brought in you know got some you know especially like some the offensive line right um you know the guys they brought in are you know got some got some experience to them that you know it's you always want to have that nice mixture you just don't wantan to oh no anybody who turns 25 we're just gonna cut them you know we just want everybody young you know I mean you got to have that you gotta have that mixture in there but I if you look at a lot of the guys that the Giants brought in veteran guys guys that have some some some years some experience which obviously is a very good thing but I mean the Giants I think are the was it the fourth youngest yeah yep the Packers you know I mean I mean you know I mean look at it I mean the Chiefs are the fifth youngest team 25.73084 they did last year obviously you know I I I I I think I can't remember what what the U second youngest in in starting position possibly yeah yeah I mean I said I mean they brought in a bunch of guys obviously but um yeah I mean young very very young and you like that yeah I really really really like that um hopefully you know um but Shane says you like to have you draft them you develop them and sometimes the hardest thing to do is to keep them right because when it comes time to start forking up some Benjamins sometime the NFL does not want it like that right you know they don't want like that if you develop and and you develop good players and you know and they want to get paid don't blame them I'd want to get paid too but you know the NFL doesn't that's the only thing I I don't like is that some times it's almost impossible to keep all your your players you know sometimes you know if you especially if you you know if you either draft too good or you just keep stinking each year and you keep drafting really low you know when when it comes time for the guy you know I mean it would be nice if they could do something with the quarterback salary right where it doesn't you know doesn't I mean because you I mean look I mean I don't know what throw a number out there 10 years from now we'll have the first hundred million a year guy it's it's going there and the thing is is that you know once you start getting up up up there you know it's not some guy's making $70 million well I want to make 70 million and 100,000 no it just starts I want I'm making he making 70 I gotta make 71 or 72 the next guy coming in he's making 72 I want 75 he's making 75 I got to grab me 79 it's got you I mean you know when when you're when when you're down you know when you're making a million I'll take 1.1 you know that's that's a nice bump that's a 10% raise right you go from a million to 1.1 all right okay that's cool T you know I mean but I mean the way we're going I mean right so so that whoever the first quar I mean right right now you know the first hundred million doll a year person is alive I don't know they're 10 years old right now 11 whatever but there's somebody out there in the world who's alive who's throwing footballs right now right who's GNA be first hundred million dollar a year person I said I don't know be 10 years nine 12 I don't know but we're heading that way right it's just that you know you you get in this one position going to take takes up like well let's say it just say you're making $50 million that's about 20% right the salary salary caps around 250 you got 50 $50 million you know some the upper etch line guys are obviously making more than that mean 20% of your salary for one guy wish they could do something with with with that that would that would um you know e either slow slow it down which I know they can't slow down the the escalation of the pay scale which I I guess you can't you know I mean the uh uh Players Association would doesn't want nothing to do with that but I mean I wish they could do something with with with with the you the quarterback salary that's just separate and then you have the rest of the team you know something like that you know I wish but it is what it is but the Giants are very oh we soon you're gonna pay oh yeah dude oh yeah absolutely you know why it's all about the Benjamins right I mean um you pay yeah I mean pay-per-view what are we at Wrestlemania 7,442 trillion right now I mean you know I mean it's just you know but I mean I remember I remember I'm so old how old are you I'm so old I mean I remember watching on ABC Sports Muhammad Ali boxing I remember uh when um George Foreman knocked Joe Frasier down three times in the second round I think it Howard coell down goes Frasier down goes Frasier down goes Fraser he says like three you know I mean it was just Ian that's free it's free boxing match free you know um you know the title fight you know uh uh Muhammad Ali on on TV for free what a concept free yeah oh yeah oh of course right I mean you figure you got you know I don't know whatever I I'm just I no idea once again 100 million households all watching the Super Bowl he you put 50 bucks charge 50 bucks or something 50 bucks on 100 million oh yeah sure whatever you know $100 or something sure oh yeah that's I said just you know the more it's about the money I and I I understand it and all and everything but yeah I just can't stand that stuff absolutely can't stand that stuff you know it is what it is I mean there are some things that I do like okay I mean you know a lot you as you see a lot of old farts it's like we we always like well the olden days that's way I like football this stuff nowadays I don't know what else going on out there you know what I mean but there are there are some good things I like I I really like the safety that they're trying to protect the guys with you the helmets and and the rule I I I I do appreciate that that that's that's nice um I wish they could get some type of health care for the players you know once they once they leave football you know I mean let's let's curb you know the um the pay for the guys but in in return you know cutting down the pay for the guy not not not taking money away but you know where they only make like whatever 5% raise or something like or whatever you know I mean you curb you know you know I mean but you do that but in a but what we're going to do we'll try to get you and maybe your family or whatever you know permanent you know as long as the football players alive or something or whatever we will'll get you free health care for the rest of your life something like that something along those lines but you know so there are some good things and one thing I I do like is um you know the the the uh to me it's a bargain you know it's the uh well the Sunday Ticket it's with YouTube now used to be with Direct TV but you know because I um I was I was in Long Island 1977 we moved down here to South Jersey well the problem with that is that I'm a giant fan so you're down here in South Jersey I'm about I'm about half an hour from from the Phil Philadelphia Eagles stadium about half an hour depends upon traffic you know I mean what you know I mean so I'm close so unfortunately on TV all you see is the Eagles right so you know when I came here in the late 70s and the 80s especially when the Giants win in Super Bowls and all that you know 1986 I want to turn the TV on want to see the Giants uhuh no said I you might see the Giants maybe five six times during the season You' see them the two times they play the Eagles they met Giants might be on Monday Night Football a couple times then it would be a Cowboy game maybe maybe six seven times or so during the season the Giants would be on but other than that you're screwed you got to drive up north to see the game or something or whatever other that you're not going to see the you can't see the Giants but the way they have it now with the Sunday Ticket you can see any game you know you know doesn't matter so that I like I mean I got the Sunday ticket from Direct TV in 2000 I always always remember that because that was the first you know my first year I got the Direct TV the Sunday ticket but of course they went to the Super Bowl so that was so I'll never forget that that was a you know great season you know but uh but that was the first season it was in 2000 that from I moved here in 77 so I had to go from 1977 all the way to 2000 without seeing you know only maybe seing four five six seven Giant games during the season I more than half of I'd miss because they just weren't on TV around here you couldn't get them um but with the Sunday ticket when I got actually the Sunday Ticket was out earlier than I just never bought it right but uh 2000 I started started watching it so then it was the first time since I moved down here in South Jersey I could see every Giant game and and since 2000 I've seen every Giant game so I mean that that like so there are some really nice things going on at all but I said one of the things is that you know that you know like the salaries with the quarterbacks and you know you just can't afford to keep all your players and stuff like that some of that stuff I just don't really like but I mean I mean a giant team is just you know just chock chock full of uh youth I mean Giants have made a number of roster decisions this Summer that indicated desire to choose young players whenever possible they traded soon to be 32-year-old defensive tackle Jordan Phillips to the Cowboys now it's not forget you know I mean the Giants brought Phillips in right so that raised you know raised a little bit their uh you the age of the team but they brought them in right he's one of the guys that they wanted to bring it in you had some experience to him and all but yeah yeah so they traded away thing about that is they traded away uh him and then they W up swapping picks so they you know with with the Cowboys so hopefully the pick that they get from the Cowboys you know when when they swapped a sixth and seventh round pick I think it was or something like that so hopefully that guy will make the team right uh let's see here and then they kept undrafted rookie free agent Elijah the hustle Chapman right and thirdy year player DJ Davidson uh they released 30-y year old defensive back Jaylen Mills they ended up filling that spot by claiming Anthony Johnson Jr a second year player off where was from the Packers now the thing is where from from um Anthony Johnson Jr is that he didn't get much of a chance uh to participate last season so um so you know did might have some hopes there right with him that might that might really be a a good waiver pick for the Giants Rin signed a veteran running back to back up dein Singletary they will use second year man Eric Ray and and Tyrone Tracy uh Jr and then of course we got turbo Miller on the practice squad so I mean we got young running backs young uh they drafted Tyler Newman to replace Xavier mcken now with that one I mean that that's you know you got to give nuben a year or two or so whatever let's you know obviously to see right but the the the the kind of thing with that is Xavier was only I think he's only 25 so it's not not like we lost you know Xavier mcken who a 33y old Xavier mckin we lost you know Xavier was like young I mean you know so but you know I'm very excited to see Newman very very excited see him out there no question uh they kept seconde player Bryce Ford weaton right I tell you what I was shocked when they decided happy but I was kind of shock because I had been hearing a whole ton of good things not not necessarily bad things about him but you know you know usually what you like to hear is you know a training camp you the reporters oh man Bryce Ford Weeden came down with another catcher Bryce Ford we I didn't hear all that heck a lot about him I I heard a lot more about him last year but I guess they also kind of thought that they if they possibly if they let him go on waivers somebody would scoop him up so I didn't think maybe he'd get back on the practice squad uh let's see rather than any three veteran options of Isaiah Hodgins miles boyin and Allan Allan Robinson uh the result is a roster that is young in several places how young at average 25.7 years of age Giants are the fourth youngest roster in the NFL their starting lineup averages 25.5 years of age which is the second youngest behind the Packers which is 25 .49 Giants are 25.5 Packers are 25.49 so basically they're the same age I mean yeah right um that might be skewed ever so slightly when the 28-year-old adori Jackson aha that's true too is officially added to the roster but not by much here is the breakdown of the youngest and oldest roster so the the Bucks and the Bucks are two the Packers are one the Fox are two the Eagles are third Giants are fourth and the Chiefs are fifth now the thing is with the chiefs of course obviously is you know uh they're young and all that stuff but I mean you know you know it's all all hinges on Patrick Mahomes you know if if he's there they can be the oldest unit and still have a chance they can be they can have a bunch of kindergarteners running around out there they got Patrick Mahomes out there they got a chance so but but then the oldest ones the Dolphins are the oldest but I mean I mean even look at this I mean the Giants are 25.7 the the Dolphins are the oldest unit at 27.3 so basically the Dolphins average what about uh h a year and a half older than J I mean it's not it's not like you know the Packers are number one at 25 and the Dolphins are number 32 they average 31 Point yeah it's they're all very very young very very young the Vikings are they the second oldest but 27.1 five the 49ers the 26.98 the commanders are 26.97 oh let's see it's gonna click on it it's it gonna open up there we go oldest full roster youngest full roster okay youngest starting age yes so the Giants Giants are the second young yeah but what he said once they put a Dory Jackson in there it's gonna bring it up just a little bit but yeah it's Giants you're a young group young group all right now next Unfortunately they um when when they got miles boyin back and put him on the practice squad I you know I was kind of kind of happy about that I thought uh yeah there was also some talk that quite possibly mil boyin might make the 53 but obviously that didn't wind up happening but but you know and so he's been released but of course that does not mean that he you know if somebody else doesn't obviously claim you doesn't mean he won't be back again someday but oh yeah the giants made a few roster changes was on Monday that to kick off the week waving miles boy and and and placing uh fullback back yakob Johnson on the practice squad to take his place Johnson had a few solid moments in preseason Paving the way on several big runs and contributing on special teams which is absolutely huge absolutely huge both players have faed tough Journeys in the NFL and here's a closer look at their struggles and their fight to earn a roster spot boyin began his interval Journey when he was drafted by the Ravens in the third round of the 2019 NFL draft a standout player at noan boam was known for his impressive size athleticism and ability to make contested catches in Baltimore he showcased his potential as a deep threat and a reliable Target especially during his rookie season however injuries and the Ravens run heavy offense which is true limited his opportunities to fully develop as a receiver after three seasons with the Ravens Boyen was waved in 2022 and subsequently claimed by the Ste steers in Pittsburgh he found a new opportunity to contribute particularly on special teams as a depth receiver aiming to revitalize his career with a fresh start in a different system yakob Johnson's path to the NFL uh Johnson's Journey to the NFL is a remarkable story of perseverance and and adapt adaptability growing up in stutgart germanyy he played football before before moving to the United States to pursue his dream Johnson played college football at the University of Tennessee where he initially struggled to make an impact however his determination and hard work earned him a spot on the New England Patriots roster through the NFL's International player pathway program in 2019 as a fullback Johnson quickly proved his value with powerful blocking and versatility becoming a reliable part of the Patriots offense over several seasons his physical style of play and team first mentality earned him respect and a role in the NFL Paving the way for other international players in 2022 Johnson signed with the Raiders where he continued to Showcase his skills and contribute both on offense and special teams solidifying his place as a unique and inspiring story success story in the league for now Johnson holds a spot on the practice squad but the Giants are always looking for upside and contributors so his role may be cemented for now but the Grass Is Always Greener elsewhere so you know uh that's the one thing with unfortunately with the practice squad yeah I mean you know he um with Johnson you know unfortunately it's you I mean special teams uh you know there blocking ability and all and everything but you know um if if somebody else out there pops up who you know I mean you know who give you a little more maybe bang for the buck or whatever he can I'm not so sure how how secure Johnson's spot on the practice squad will wind up being but have to wait and say but I mean as of right now he as of right right of this minute he's he's there uh Johnson has been cut and signed three times since the Giants initially trimmed the roster down to 53 players last week three times the veteran fullback was released during the initial roster cuts and then signed to the practice squad rostered the following day then Johnson was signed to the active roster after center Austin schlotman or schlotman was placed on on the reserved injured list he was then released again to make room for Dory Jackson signing over the weekend now Johnson is back on the practice squad the Giants like boyin has a special teams option at Gunner but he didn't survive the initial Cuts last week the former third round pick as hasn't done much as a wide receiver since joining NFL in 2019 with the Ravens there's a chance he's back on the practice squad at some point but for now the Giants are opting to keep Johnson in the mix for a potential elevation in week one against the Viking so well obviously have to keep your eye on them and I said I mean that a lot of times you know with the unless another team claims them or whatever if they're still available you know um you're only one play away from being brought back on the practice squad or you're only one play away from being on the practice squad being elevated to the 53 right yeah somebody you know I mean like uh as as as we know with the Giants injuries do happen quite often and sometimes you know uh we've had them in the past where wide receivers get decimated right so boyin available out there right you know there's only you know I don't want to jinx nothing I hope we don't have an injur actually I hope nobody gets injured on any team even the Eagles and that's hard for me to say but I mean I don't want nobody get injured you know but I mean some somebody gets injured you know miles boyin is only one phone call away from being at least being back when the practice clot right so have to wait and see there all right then we got now the first that this this this is for like keeping like morons like me I guess happy I guess maybe the the first unofficial I like what we do depth chart you know they they released it once again this is just for you know people like me Giants released the first unofficial depth chart for week one versus the Vikings all right so their base offense now we got now what they have here they have the combo package the one wide receiver they got jayen highight slash darus Slayton so I guess it's one a and 1B I guess right uh then of course we've got wo Robinson and gunar olfi the other wide receiver some dude by the name name of Malik neighbors and of course Bryce Ford weaton so right we got Jaylen Hyatt darus Slayton wo Robinson and Malik neighbors and of course your backups of Bryce for weaton and gunal shy um so possibly well I'll have to wait and see how many you know because they got 53 on the roster but they're not D they don't dress 53 so some guys right know the 53 or w't all suit up we have to see who does and doesn't want him suting up but if gesy is I mean it's quite possibly they got him there quite possibly for the you know the uh The Return part of the program but it' be nice to see Bryce Ford weaton get some maybe get some reps and I don't want it to be by because somebody else got injured but it'd be nice to see you know what he can do I mean they they they gave him a little signing B it's a nice signing bonus for a reason so all right then we got okay right tackle we got jera lumor and Evan Neil uh then we got The Right Guard we get van Ron and Aaron stainy is his backup John Michael schmidtz Jr of course the center and Van Ron once again he's the backup center ran Jr is the left guard Jake kis is the backup left guard Andrew Thomas uh the left tackle and Joshua zudu so I'm not sure who the swing tack would wind up in if it would if it's zudo or if it's Neil or once again you know you know out of the 53 they don't dress 53 so maybe between Dudu or Neil one of those guys that does not dress because you don't need two swing tackles so we have to wait and say a running back where Devin single T Eric gray you got him he's this he's the second Stringer in Tyrone Tracy junior is the third Stringer uh Bellinger tight in number one Theo is number two and Chris man Herz is number three uh of course Daniel Jones Drew lock and Tommy chicken cutlet parmesan the base defense of course you got Brian Burns at uh outside linebacker SL defensive end Edge rusher whatever you whatever you want to call then you got Boogie Basham is his backup the nose tackle Dexter Lawrence DJ Davidson and Jordan Riley then you got a defensive tackle nacho and Elijah Chapman let's see outside so is the outside linebacker they got Brian Burns is a defensive end then they got Kavon Tibido as an outside linebacker but EO galari is behind Kavon and you got Benton Whitley is the uh the third string uh inside you got your inside linebackers you got a caran mcfaden you got Carter Coughlin and muel so that's that's that's an interesting dynamic duo there I mean uh then you got Curtis Bolton is the third string at the inside linebacker and of course then you got your nickel back is Drew Phillips and Isaiah Simmons uh quarterback number one Deontay Banks Trey Hopkins thei safeties you got Belton and pinck then you got nuben and Anthony Johnson Jr I'm I'm I'm I'm very excited about that's that's a young group of safeties very young and your other cornerback would be a Cordell flat Nick McLoud and theori Jackson actually as of right now they got theor Jackson as the third Stringer but I don't think that's going to last very long um Casey CED be interesting to see with the Dory what they you know they had put him on a pitch count kind of thing for for Minnesota because you can be in shape and all that and everything but there's being in shape and then there's being in football shape you know it's a little different story um so I said it' be interesting to see if it you know if they put special packages out there in the field for whatever you know um if they put him in there for maybe 20 snaps or exactly how it works out all right then of course you got Casey krider Jamie Gillian is is the holder and the punter punt returner is elevi Darius Slayton is the second pun returner wand Del Robinson is the third and Tyrone is the fourth uh kick returner gunal shvy Darius Slayton wondo Robinson and Tyrone Tracy and of course grah ganell um the interesting thing is that if they got for the kick return they got gal shy and Darius Slayton so uh I thought it may be possibly they would have two return men back there but we'll have to wait and see we'll have to wait say because a lot of it also is that sometimes you know how like the offense is a really kind of vanilla in the um you know you don't want to tip your hat or tip your hand I guess as they say too much you know lot lot of the defenses are kind of basic but the offense kind of vanilla and all that so maybe you don't want to tip your hand or whatever it is maybe as far as uh any kind of kick returning kind of thing um but I thought they had two guys back there so I'll have to wait and see that I said we got darus Slayton would be the is this once again it's just unofficial but I mean they got Dar Slayton and W Robinson you know so I mean it's like those are like two starters that they have Dory Jackson said he would like to return too of course you remember he returned the one time a punt and he got injured um but Tyrone Tracy's on there and he's the third strength running back on this unofficial list so maybe Tracy might have a a hand at returning some kickoffs so I have to wait and see I have to wait and see and then of course oh man he's like uh I don't know I don't know what you wanna what the hell you want to call it I guess it's easy to make fun of him he just love to make fun of him cadarius Stony the loser that he is so he's he's he's he's trying out with the uh the Seahawks my thing is that man I'll tell you what you know love him hate him you know whatever right with cadarius Tony you know with the Seahawks I mean you know if if if by some miracle of God I mean a guy can actually stay healthy more than like three plays in a row I mean could you imagine if they were to sign him now you know the young Joker is I think his a rap handle his rapper or whatever it is called um you know guys to realize you know um that his guaranteed money his first Stringer is over nobody's paying him 8 million right so he might have to take what he can get you know so I mean you know Seattle might get themselves maybe some type of a bargain get him in roll cheap because I mean it's like you know I mean it's like dude you know you suck you always get injured you drop balls you know I don't know if you know a lot of many GMS out there saw them you know flashing the middle finger to the giant fans as he was trying to get um you know his his ring Super Bowl ring sized or whatever like that you know you know so I'm sure there's certain teams out there that don't want n the do right so but I mean if Seattle gets them on the cheap and if this the [ __ ] can actually stay healthy right I mean could you imagine I mean it's October 6 week five the Giants will be playing could you imagine I mean you know love him hate him despise him whatever you know you know there's no denying if the guy can stay healthy and if so there's a couple big ifs here the guy can actually stay healthy and the guy actually can catch a pass because he's good at dropping passes though but I mean you're getting the ball is in his hands I mean you there's no denying that the guy's got some moves but I mean could you imagine trying they went four wide against the Giants the Giants would have to cover the Joker and you know if he get if he gets on the field against his old whole team ain't the Giants you know he's going to want to do something you know it's he's tough to tackle he's you know the one thing I do got to get I get to my cap a little bit to him is that you know he help beat the Eagles and iing hate the Eagles so he helped beat the Eagles so cadarius thank you all all the fun I've made of you I know you're not listen to this but thank you so make so much fun of you but thank you for Le be Eagles thank you I was actually cheering for you right but I'm saying but if you can get four wide I mean can you imagine trying to cover cadarius Tony Jackson Smith and jiga Tyler Lockett and DK mcf could you imagine imagine those four guys on the field at one time good luck God bless that's a that's a heck of a foresome right there I mean you know um unless one one of them's injured or something my God if they do have Tony I mean he would be you know he wouldn't be a starter I said unless you know unless they had some injuries or something but I mean can you imagine October sixth um that's gonna be that' be a tough tough force them for the Giants to to try to uh cover without question I mean that's a that's a heck of a and Gino Smith throwing the ball to so that'll be tough that'll certainly be tough but um he visits Seahawks after he gets cut I mean get you man I mean just a first round draft pick and four years and four years your first round you actually gone through two teams and they don't extend your fifth year option or nothing like that they just just just like it's all right bye bye he's visit as visited a new team as he attempts to salvage his NFL career at ESPN's field Yates reported Tuesday that Tony visited with the Seahawks he's only 25 years old Tony was a 2021 first round pick for the Giants who traded him to the Chiefs in the middle of 2022 season so I mean it's like we drafted him and he only well of course the thing was is of course you know this regime didn't draft them the old regime dra you know I mean gentleman drafted him right so but I mean so he lasted one year with the Giants and you know little ways into the second his second season which would be the first first season for dble and Shane and they're like this guy this guy's a nut I mean what you know his injuries and just oh my god let's see he went on to have a big second half obviously in the Super Bowl victory over the Eagles it was it was a healthy scratching the Chiefs repeat Super Bowl win in 201 24 but that didn't stop him from re re reeving in the aftermath despite releasing Tony Chief general manager I don't quite understand Brett Beach had no regrets about trading for him in 2022 I don't think we're sitting here going for a third straight Super Bowl championship had we not made that trade Beach told rep poor is last week so from that standpoint we do it all over again in a heartbeat okay last season Tony had 27 catches 169 yards and one touchdown cross 13 regular season games two catches a game he averaged about uh what would that be about 13 yards receiving a game so the sea oscillation went 9 and8 I season and missed the playoffs in the NFC so I mean hey yeah some I can maybe maybe give a spark to the team but I'm sure there's not too many teams out there willing to take a chance on the young Joker because the jok is on him all right and finally we got good old you know this is this is you know if if if you're if you're you're a player if you're a pro you're Pros Pro and blah blah blah all that stuff this is what you live for right this this this is what you live for um good old good old Mr Banks looking forward to spending some time on the field with uh with Justin Jefferson now the one thing is is that of course now this is this is the old um defense the old the defensive coordinator obviously is not here for the Giants anymore but when we when we did face off against Jefferson uh the couple times in 2022 he didn't really necessarily go off Hest it was hackinson who CAU I think 74 catches a game it was just like every time they drop back the pass ah it's hackinson wide open Catch number 42 for the game yeah drop back oh hackinson right there you go catch another I was just like so we spent so much time covering je you know I guess you know one guy underneath maybe somebody over top of him whatever you know so Jefferson really didn't go off on us but the one nice thing is that Hockinson is not gonna be playing in this game so if we can um take a little page out of the 2022 coverage right that we did on Jefferson right uh hackinson won't be there so that's a plus that's a plus because I mean you know obviously you only got so many play it's not like you well we'll just double cover everybody we'll Blitz seven guy you you know if you're gonna double cover one guy that's You're Gonna Leave You weak in some in another area and when you got enough when you got a good uh amount of quality receivers like the Vikings do double cover Jefferson that's kind of a no-brainer or or or you know double cover you just just let him eat your Al right but if you're going to double cover him you know you're going to be a little weak you know in some of the areas of your defense so it is what it is but at least they want to have Hockinson so that that's good I I I don't I really don't know how they got him I don't I don't I just I don't I didn't make that how could you get somebody that good but anyway anyway but Tay Banks is looking this is what I want Banks smiled at the question he knew was coming yes the young Giants quarterback is a corner back is excited about the prospect of lining up against Justin Jefferson and a new the $140 Million Man Jesus goodr no easing his way into the shallow end of the pool right away Banks is being thrown into the part where he can't stand sink or swim you got that right brother I love the the fact it's right into it just take it head on bank said on Tuesday is Big Blue prepared to face Minnesota on Sunday this what they drafted me for this is what I came here to do this is what I want I wouldn't want it any other way really I mean basically you could darn here just say straight up probably pretty much the best receiver in football boom week one go get him t right he gives me a challenge I like challenges they're fun I feel like I match up well okay I hope so man I hope you do this is just the start of this for the second year quarterback He will draw a tough assignments this year but Jefferson CD lamb AJ Brown Devonte Smith Terry mcla yeah I mean you know the Giants are a thic corner Dory Jackson was brought back over the weekend after Cordell flat Nick McLoud fail to established themselves as a number two Guy starts against the 6 foot one Jefferson who's average I mean this is just crazy I mean it's just just you just he's averaged 98 receptions 1474 yards and seven half touchdowns in four years in the league a season ago he had 68 catches for 1,074 and five scores in just 10 games so at that rate once again he would have had another 100 catches for over about, 1500 yards maybe more and he would have had probably about eight touchdowns or so whatever you know if not more so I mean the guy is just just a freak he's Elite so he does a lot of things well the 23 year old bank said he's great at contested catches he's great at it so uh so gi's talking about Banks now the Giants need him to take his next step it starts in week one against one of the Premier receivers in the NFL Banks believes he's ready I'm not a person that lacks confident but I feel so confident he said I feel really good thanks to several personal goals for the upcoming season he was willing to share one of them the Pro Bowl he will have plenty of opportunities to prove he's deserving such an honor oh yeah he's got um yeah he's he's got his work cut out tell you what he's going try to make the Pro Bowl but the one thing I I would like to see the Giants do is like next season I said is that um let's get somebody next to sexy dexi in the draft and let's get another cornerback another young young stud of a quarterback because I you you know how many times we gonna keep bringing a Dory Jackson back and if they're not really that crazy about maybe flat or M cloud or whatever like that out there I mean we got Phillips we got Banks let's go out there and get ourselves another young we you know we got we got some safeties right let's get ourselves another young cornerback right and let's get another defensive tackle next to sexy dexi and I tell you what if we can get that boy have the Ming have a really really good defense all right guys been 57 minutes Vinnie Gman and David D thanks for the comments guys greatly appreciate thank you for staying up with me I greatly appreciate it so as always guys whoever spent any time listening me live thank you thank you thank you or if anybody's going to spend any time watching the replay of this once again thank you so much from B heart as well tell me as always you guys stay safe out there and go Giants oh yeah
