Alabama Crimson Tide Football NEWS! Emmanuel Henderson turning up | Justice Haynes primed for 2024

fam what's going on it's Kyle Henderson and B with football on YouTube can I get a roll Tide what's going on I appreciate you guys being here it is Wednesday it is August 14th yo the drip is from Chris Mobley you want the Hat you want the uh the the shirt up top Chris mbly is the place to get it uh they just dropped these hats they're absolutely fire this will probably be my new uniform uh for the coming season so as we get going with my evening show and coming up next we're going to hear from Nick Sheridan Alabama's offensive coordinator as well as Justice Haynes Alabama's primee time running back all right um so but but before we get into that all right I want to talk about Emanuel Henderson but I want to talk about the wide receivers first okay so inside the comment box um here's your options Ryan Williams a Jeremy Bernard B right so what I want you to do is type the letter of the wide receiver you could pick two that you think will have the most catches this year right most receptions this year pick two of those wide receivers sound off now inside the comment box got Ryan Williams vote a Jeremy Bernard vote B Cole Adams vote C Kendra GLA vote D Kobe Apprentice vote e and Emanuel Henderson no relation type f look I think when you look to this wide receiver and no disrespect to uh Caleb odm or Jared Hamilton or any wide receiver that I didn't list these are the guys that I've seen being in the rotation of the first team um when you hear Nick Sheridan speak about the wide receiver room here coming up next a lot of these guys are getting rotation all of them can play at this level um clearly there's a lot that you don't want to give away to your um upcoming opponents that you have on the schedule but I think whether it's Ryan Williams whether it's Cole Adams whether it's a vet like Kendrick law or Kobe Prince these guys are going to get fed by their quarterback Jaylen milro um so plenty of talent and uh excited to see what you uh post inside the comment box so right now pick two wide receivers from this board that are going to have the most re receptions this coming season can't wait to uh kind of dive into that um as we get going I have a short segment before we get to the interviews I want to talk about uh this particular tweet it made me laugh so hard so Nick Kelly uh now works for al.com uh one of the uh the great reporters of this beat of Alabama Crimson Todd shares this on X all right he's like another great Nick Sabin retirement story and Nick sain spoke to uh um the media today at Nick's uh kids Foundation such a great Foundation you think of about what Nick's kids has done uh taking care of local teachers um here in the state of Alabama and also uh building houses through habitat of humanity 18 houses in Tuscaloosa um that is Monumental among all the other things that they've done so here's a story he he says uh so uh Miss Terry and Nick Sabin uh they go out uh to McDonald's the other day they and they go through the drive-thru uh Miss Terry offered them a credit card and Coach s's like they take credit cards and McDonald's now look all right let me set this set the stage I I don't live far from uh coach Sabin and Miss ter clearly different neighborhoods um and I've seen coach Sabin a couple times you know I've lived here for now eight years only saw him one time driving and uh yo he was he was hauling okay um but the McDonald's isn't too far so it's uh it the these comical stories that come up are absolutely hilarious so you got to love anything that is Nick Haven related I absolutely love it so that was a funny story today uh real quick let's focus on Emanuel Henderson somebody that I think needs um a lot of notoriety now last season uh Emanuel Henderson and we'll look at uh kind of his bio on the player Spotlight didn't get to play last year because of an injury and I think that clearly prohibited him from you know getting on the field and probably being a starter now today Nick Sheridan said this we're just challenging him to compete at wide receiver he has embraced that he's a joy to be around um and I think when you look to a player like Emanuel Henderson he has what you want and he's going to compete and he's going to add um another weapon to that arsenal of wide receivers for the Alabama Crimson Tide when we dive into the player Spotlight and you look at um what a Manuel Henderson brings to the table right 6'1 187 lb he's a Junior it's hard to believe he's a junior and as you can see when he first came here he came here as a running back he was a five-star he played in 13 games in 2022 in 2023 he spot played a little bit um on special teams he started playing I think around that Texas A&M game um but I think this is an interesting right here he's number 24 he changed numbers from 24 he's now number three um what do you think about Emanuel Henderson okay I'm going to ask you inside the comment box type e right now inside the comment box if you think that Emanuel Henderson um is primed for a really good year I'm going to type e myself because um I've always thought of him and I thought it was a genius move by coach Sabin you know before he left you kind of think about some position changes that um you know he had an impact on players like for example one of the guys that I think of is like Trayvon dicks came to Alabama as a wide receiver changed him to DB and now you look what he's done in the NFL I think same thing with Emanuel Henderson I mean he's he has the body type um and how about this okay and look Alabama's running back room is going to be fine um some of the guys are banged up as you know um it's Daniel Hill who's in a sling and some of those guys were in black jerseys I wouldn't worry too much about it um Justice Haynes actually said today that the running back room I didn't even know this that they're called the exterminators have you heard this um so and I guess that was like coined by uh quarterback jayen milro I haven't heard that but if you had to move somebody back to running back theoretically you could move Emanuel Henderson and kind of an emergency situation remember a couple years ago uh coach sabbin said if there was a depth chart issue they could move Devonte Smith like the the player who won the Heisman Trophy to uh the secondary just as an emergency so uh please don't lose sight on Emanuel Henderson I think he's primed for a season he's instate guy and uh can't wait to see what he can do on the field and again he's number three uh his old number was 24 um so again um I'm I'm asking you again you know which wide receivers are going to come up with the most receptions for the abama Crimson Tide um you're also going to hear uh after my short segment right here you're going to hear from Nick Sheridan and then you're going to hear from Justice HS two really good at interviews Justice haes had the opportunity to sit down and speak with him at the Rose bull this young man is ultra talented and uh his personality he he he reminds me of somebody that we'd speak to like already in the NFL so articulate so poised and last year you know what he told me he's like look when my time comes I'm be ready for it now we saw him a little bit in the Rose Bowl I wish we would have saw more of him to be honest that was kind of my one thing about the offense last year is I just felt I wish we would have seen more of Justice hands I think he was ready last year clearly this year now that uh he's a prime running back human and jam Miller I think that's going to be one of the top tandems of course Richard Young's right there as well but Justice Haynes you know he spoke about uh he was asked by a reporter you know have the responsibilities changed under coach kayin deor regarding the running backs and you know I think while you might say you know running back is a running back it is an interesting interesting question because I think when people think about Coach Caitlin abor's offense they don't really think of the running backs now he had a thousand yard running back and he's going to feed the running backs under his offensive philosophy especially a guy like justice Haynes Jam Miller and Justice Haynes today said the responsibilities and you'll hear this quote in just a minute their responsibilities are still the same under coach Kaylin bore you have to run the ball pass protect and do the things out of the receiving game and uh do everything to help the team win now it's a it goes with the saying I mean Justice Haynes is clearly ready and uh you know his mentality is is it I man I'd love to see this guy be the featured back I don't think there's going to be a featured back on this particular team uh I'm curious to hear from you inside the comment box you think there's going to be a featured back I just you know with the amount of talent that they had and it look you need depth and even Nick Sheridan here in just a few minutes is going to talk about quality depth right um You Look at like a a room like the Texas longc horns right now they already have two running backs down the season hasn't even started uh this year is going to be an absolute Gauntlet let's talk about Nick Sheridan real quick Alabama's new offensive coordinator man these are the offensive coordinators that I have covered since uh living in Tuscaloosa Alabama first got here was Brian debal um who had just came over from uh the New England Patriots right and kind of brought their passing tree with him then we went to Mike Loxley and that was like the Lamborghini offense that was with all those wide receivers who were catching passes they were scoring too fast coach lock like Let It Go and and uh that was an amazing uh Team to be around then you went to Steve sarkeesian who I think was probably um you know collectively Alabama's uh most talented um you know Offensive Coordinator would you agree with that is it uh is it Steve sarkeesian is it Mike Mike Loxy is not too far behind I'm telling you he wasn't here a long time but the he he scored quickly and he put things together now Steve sarkeesian in 2020 that team you I mean you couldn't beat him nobody did 13 and zero during the co year then you you kind of started like to Trend backwards a little bit Bill O'Brien just wasn't it um and then you went to Tommy Reese and uh now you have Nick Sheridan so look Nick Sheridan was a tight ends coach but he does have offensive coordinator experience being the OC um at Indiana now he comes over with a big responsibility to run the Alabama offense uh how do you think he's going to Fair want to hear from you inside the comment box and do you like how he um has you know kind of uh taking on this role of um you know Alabama's OC and then don't forget about jar Shepard either you know I I I believe that he's probably a passing game coordinator and a co-offensive coordinator who brings a lot to that room as well and then Kaylin dbor kind of overseen everything so um he's a young guy um but he has a loaded loaded team next up you got Nick Sheridan uh speaking about his offense and following that is Justice Haynes you can catch me on Thursday at 9.m central time I appreciate you guys joining my live shows and uh all the support right here on B football on YouTube my name is Kyle Henderson at Bama football on YouTube Hey if you want to become a fan funer to support the channel just hit the link inside the comment box only $2.99 to support the product and if you want the drip all right the Hat the uh the sweat top then head on over to Chris Mobly and um you know they got some great gear uh great apparel that uh you can represent your team the Alabama Crimson to Kyle Henderson at B football on YouTube while catch you guys right here as news happens on bambo football on YouTube I thought there was good and bad I think probably like most first scrimmages um lots lots to be excited about and lots to clean up Nick with the uh new helmet comes and those developments uh how do you ensure that your communication with Jay and there's not like information overload when you have that time I think there's lots of communication that's taking place um you know in between you know when we're practicing meetings Etc um recapping situations things that come up reminders that he would like or wouldn't and so um I think a lot of times less is more you know let them play um but there's certain situations where you know a reminder of something um I think can you know just make sure they're focusing on the right things um so I think that's ongoing and I think every player is a little bit different you know each quarterback's a little bit different on what they like and and what they want to hear and what they don't want to hear and so U by and large you let them play You're communicating the things that are are most important and most critical for what's going on what is your strategy towards using the you know it shuts off after 15 seconds is it do you still want to move fast do you w to kind of maybe take advantage of the defense for when it they their talk goes out I think it's a great question and I think that's something that we wouldn't really want the people were going against to know I probably answer it the same way you know I think the mixing up of tempos is important how each team each opponent what you feel benefit fits you um I think the pace of play has always been something that offenses utilized to try to create an advantage whatever that may look like going as fast as possible or slow as possible just to try to win the game and so um you know we'll be ready to do whatever we feel is going to help us win you think the Elation changes things more for the offense or defense um you know I can only speak to our side so that' be a question more for Kane and and you know the defensive guys on what that's changed for them so I think it's hard to say I think um yeah I think that's hard to answer that on what it what that's like from the other side of it um so I'm not sure how to answer that how comfortable are you in your team's ability to kind of win games in different ways on offense whether it be grounding out the you know ball on the ground bearing it out or going fast going slow I wouldn't I wouldn't necessarily use the word Comfort um you know when you're dealing with training camp and progressing um you know I think we have quality players at all positions um and we try to be tough to defend in all areas and I think that's what great offenses do is that you know um they can execute what they need to in the moments that that they have to you know so when you have to run the ball you got to be able to run the ball if you have to throw the ball you got to be able to throw the ball and so I think that's what we're trying to build and create each and every day um because different weeks different matchups different schemes that you're going against are going to you know require you to to attack a certain way and so um I wouldn't say comfortable but I would say that we're building and growing towards that I think just time on task together and and um I think the character of each one of those kids is fantastic and so they they both take a lot of pride in their jobs um they all know that the communication is super important um and it all starts with the center and the quarterback and so um so far so good and that'd be a good question to ask those two kids but I think it's going great yeah I think you know every day Caleb does something to impress you and every day there's still things for him to improve on and I know you know coach Shep is pointing those out you know in every moment that that you know Caleb's out there he's getting coached you know extremely hard and so um a lot to be excited about and a lot to work on and and we're super happy with where Caleb's at and we know there's still even more for him you know to to grow and get better at um and he's working on that every day what good I think you know um you know we have some really good young players in that room and they push each other you know and they all um have done a nice job and they're all improving and growing and so I've been pleased with the room and and yet um you know like most of the other questions there's things that we can do better you know and um that's what's fun about coaching you know is to try to help them get better and you see growth you see progress new things come up new installation new defensive schemes you know reps that they've seen versus this coverage but maybe not that or this pressure but maybe not you know the other ones and so um you know the Relentless pursuit of continuous Improvement I see that in the group and their mindsets been great they're supportive of one another and so I've been I've been happy with that what do you want to see from the winner of the right comp ultimately what will be the factors thater that I know this seems real simple but the guy that plays the best you know I mean the guy that plays well consistently in all areas um you know this is an unforgiving League we all know that you know you can't hide you know and so you you need quality play up front and so whether it's in the Run game and pass protection um you know I have belief in the players that are competing um and now it's a matter of you know who does it the most consistently you know to the best of their ability and so that's what we're looking for in your experience both as a player and a coach what communication and time on task you know I think a clear communication on the Rhythm and timing by the quarterback the route detail by the receivers and tight ends and running backs um because this game is is one that you know rewards people that trust each other you know I think um the anticipation that's required to play um and to count on one another that where the W when the wide out runs the route he's going to be at a certain SP spot and the quarterback's going to throw it at the right time to the right location I think um that requires trust and uh we're building that every day Jaylen talked about working with you and kayin the board trying to find the place that he's comfortable with the place that he executes but how of those conversations work just having conversations on what you see and what you know I think some of it kind of is it reveals itself you know you you rep the plays and you know we chart things and look at things and we see when he's making good quick decisions or where maybe he needs to see that play one more time you know and so every quarterback's different you know we've had lots of different quarterbacks in our offense and they all had different things that they liked um and so yeah just communication you know and open and honest conversations I think that's really important between a quarterback and his coaches is that he's honest about what he sees what he feels what he likes um and we're honest about the same on our end you know and so that's been great I think ean's had a great Camp I think we're we're challenging him um to be a consistent finisher on the ball I think he's capable of great things he's a great kid he practices his tail off he's been very explosive in Camp he can run um and we're just challenging him to be a complete wide receiver and um he has embraced that he's a joy to be around he always shows up with the right mindset the right attitude and so um yeah we've been really happy with Ean and we know there's so more for him to to go get but he's done a good job so far from do you details yeah the small details um you know there's still a little bit of installation that goes on and there'll be some throughout fall that are real specific plays for specific opponents um but we have a large chunk of the install in there's a a little bit more to do next day or so and just going back to you know fine-tune the details man's a guy that played some running back in high school do you see that in maybe his open field ability and is there anything that particularly his skill set you can kind of utilize or I think you see e-man just um be decisive as a runner and he's fast you know and so when he decides to go and split people he can and so that's what I see ongoing you know each day you talk with one another on what you see what you like um I think we have a lot of really good players and so you know the challenges is how can we maximize what they do well and put them in positions to be successful um and we have a variety of types of players big small they're all fast um tight ends have versatility running backs have versatility and so you know who's the best at certain jobs while also understanding you can't be predictable and say you know when this guy goes in they're throwing the ball deep or when he goes in they're running the ball you know so you have to make sure that you're mindful of that but um we have those conversations every day not just Shep and I but the whole staff about the different positions regarding the wide receivers are that I don't know if they're all learning all the positions and does that uh start to come to we move guys around for sure you know uh we try to teach them conceptually so that you're playing the best players you know that you don't want to you know stack really good players in the same position and so you to cross train people so that they can play all three wide out spots tight ends can play both spots running backs can play a different you know part um places on the field offensive lineman the same way you know you're trying to train the inside guys to play both guards and Center tackles play both ways and so um I think that's important for us and uh you know as I mentioned with the length of the Season we're going to need everybody we want to make sure our best guys are out there and that you're not you know you know you want to put you know the the best people and not stack them behind each other so you move guys around and try to give them an opportunity to to show what they can do at multiple spots foolish penties sides you noticed I think we've gotten better um you know I think those things come down to focus and discipline and attention to detail and um sometimes when the players have a little bit more um time on task with schemes maybe they're thinking a little bit less pre- snap and sometimes that that lends itself you know to having some of those pre- snap or or foolish penalties but um um yeah we're Haring on that every day we chart it you know we bring attention to it I think you achieve what you emphasize and so that's certainly been a point of emphasis for us is there an area where you most want to see improvement from the next SC yeah I think um just avoiding negative plays I think that's always you know I think um staying on schedule and there's lots of layers to that whether it's a pre- snap penalty whether it's a missed block whether it's a poor decision by a quarterback or a receiver not running the right route or whatever it may be you know um and I'm not saying specifically on any of those but there's a wide you know range of reasons why you may have a negative play you know maybe it's the the play caller not putting the players in the right position to get out of a tough look and so um that's what I'd like to see us to stay on schedule um so that we can just execute in normal down and distances and and advantageous situations for us you know just as a whole Collective group we try to get better each and every day one and0 like coach the board preaches all the time win the rep win the day that's what we try to do and we push each other to the best of our abilities say I think my overall game I just try to improve each and every day you know each day is a new challenge and presents his new challenge of his own go back and watch the film whatever I need to correct go out next day correct that you know on I one thing I said when you stop learning your life should be done so never stop learning so just always trying to continue to keep learning I can learn every ounce of football every chance I get I'm going to try to do that that was running back responsibility change off how say that question again please responsibility of the running back overall how have the responsibilities changed in this offense uh I feel like the responsibilities is still the same you know we got to run the ball we got to pass protect we got to do things out of the receiving game we got to do everything we can to help this team win something about veraity is that something that you pride yourself in oh yes sir definitely you know I I pride myself in being a versal back especially nowadays with running backs you know you want to be able to do it all you don't want to be a guy that's out there first second and and then third down they got to bring someone else in you know you want to be a guy that stays on the field all three downs and goes and makes plays each and every day uh yeah I definitely I feel like we've done a lot of things out of the back field that we be able to showcase our talents you know I've seen great things you know they're great guys uh but most importantly they're the the guys that they are and the kids that they are off the off the field is most importantly to me but great guys on the field great players going to be great players work hard uh compete um great Duo talk lot about coach D just fantastic uh great father figure great man that just shows us how to not just be a football player but a man uh he preaches about life to us he preaches on the football field he coaches us hard but he loves us even harder and you know that's what we love about Coach G and so coach G's has all the respect in the world from us and we love him and we're willing do anything for him hey can you just explain relationship you have in the running back with also to oh we're looking to accomplish big things as a running back group you know we we push each other each and every day but as a relationship wise we have a great relationship we don't just hang out on the football field we don't just hang out here at the facility we you know we'll go out and go eat we'll go to each other's houses you know we had an ntaa tournament all together something just cool that we done this like throughout the summer you know just hanging out bowling together we do things like that just to build chemistry we love being around each other we have a great relationship but we also know it's genuine so when we push each other on the field we got that relationship off the field so we can go push each other on the field and we know it's out to love who won the NC who won the NCA Daniel Hill D Hill for D Hill good I can't wait you know our offensive line they work their tails off each and every day I see it uh I love them boys I'll do anything for them boys those my rider dies you know I see the way they work the way they compete uh can't wait to run behind them and I know that they going to do great things this year have you seen impress uh I think a lot you know I I took pride on this summer uh learning the offense completely fully knowing what the offensive line is blocking knowing what the receivers are doing but also with my progressions learning different keys I can look at before pre- snap trying to win the pre- snap you know not just going out there and reacting as a football player but learning the pre- snap and just the mental aspect of the game start stud hardest thing to pick up I think each offense has own challenges you know but at the end of the day the work got to be the work you're going to have to put in the time to learn the offense and that's what I had to do that's what we all had to do put in the time it was a new offense but coach s's offense we had to put in the time to learn that offense coach the's offense we got to put the time in to learn his offense that's what we're doing the burd's not on you you don't have the Green Dot but has that changed anything for you uh communication get as you guys are prep oh no I have nothing to do with the Green Dot so coach talking to J mill on the on the headset no that has nothing to do with me oh that trip was that trip was amazing you know it was a trip where we got closer as a Brotherhood you know we spent five days in Florida together you know we weren't we were just work we were working out but we had chemistry we were learning the offense we were learning things helping each other but then we also pushing each other just how we push each other here so it was just a great trip with the guys you know I got a lot closer with the guys down there which was lovely you know we went shopping together we went eating together we hung out together that's we were down there just all together we had a great time amazing time down there so it was awesome yes that's right yes ma'am yeah j radio show describ running all exter that a you guys kind making that up on the spot if you is that how you characterize your group uh I we would we don't we don't have a name uh but I see where Jaylen saying exterminators you know you know we we we we figure out problems you know we eliminate those problems you know whether it's in pass blocking whether it's in the Run game having to make someone Miss uh we just figure out a way to do our job yes thank you
