NFL CUT DAY! What Does This Change!? | 2024 Fantasy Football Draft

and we're live baby beste ball barbecue day number I guess we're not doing days anymore this is day number three though in a row in case you were wondering but we are back and we uh we're Fresh Off The maxing the Mini snower 8 last night with bball guys so again thanks for Eric for coming on that was a blast and I'll have you know we got some big news I I left practice today checked my phone and we got 10 things going on we had Elijah Mitchell off for the season Dylan out for the season we had uh there's one more piece of news I can't remember the oh Kiren Williams returning punts like what is going on so thought we just talk through all those things but I will say Jordan Mason is me and Eric's most owned running back from yesterday's uh mini snower maxing we had eight eight eight of our 20 teams have Jordan Mason on it so that's unfreaking believable but we're going to hop into some some drafting streets we'll see what we're going to do we're to hop in some trivia before we do either Aaron and Anthony are both and Moss are both all sharp drafters as well so you have to I mean you can't you can't judge a book by its cover guys you cannot judge a book by its cover so and again I Williams 5% on Kiren so that feels pretty good that we don't have too much Kiren um my Quorum is 16% so I would say that's that's probably our biggest dub in terms of bags that I'm holding specifically um if we look at Eli Mitchell too 2% Elijah Mitchell so I feel good about that I saw Jason saying RP my 25% Elijah Mitchell begs yeah that's that's that's [ __ ] tough and like how did like how do you go from like just out for the season because like the Dylan thing was like oh it's like yeah he's he's a little banged up but now he's out for the year you know Elijah Mitchell like how did we not know they were gonna be out for the season which is kind of crazy you know what I mean so um what would be the other news from all this other stuff um maybe like Lloyd even though he's it I think that one I think the number on that's a little off oh no this is this was this I know what this was I was like because I picked him at pick 19 this was my uh I think this was the wheel draft from the 24 hour stream Rashi R Kirk yeah yeah I was like dude why how do I have a team that's okay that that doesn't even count but if we look at like you know best Ball Mania you can pull up your just best Ball Mania teams and you can look at it's like my biggest closing line value on my team right now is 142 let me see if there one higher than that but it's kind of cool to look at like they have a negative 132 as well let me see here um I think 142 is the biggest I think that's the big yeah let's go let's go up here let's go back all the way up here let's look at let's look at this team so all the closing line value came from Noah Fant our boy um also to Christian Watson Chris Godwin those are good picks jayen pulk and whatever round this was in was a awesome pick Jerome Ford looking that was another thing too Deontay Foreman out for the year um so a lot of green on this board and Jaden Daniels picked him at 127 his ADP is currently 95 so again it's really really you can see your clv movement over time so it was actually higher on August 14th than it is right now but it's just really really cool to to kind of look at all that stuff and you obviously you have some player graphs too so we can look at a guy like maybe we maybe we click on Jordan Mason I don't know how much it's going to show but because it just happened today today but yeah there it is you can see the play crazy crazy so it's just it's cool stuff like that which is why I definitely recommend getting it um everyone that's about in the community loves it so that was kind of just a long ad read but it it I I mean I I use it so C makers making the team is awesome love seeing players come back from that is cool I love it closing L value represents good value picks for ADP so yes closing line value represents the pick that I picked them at in that draft and then their cage to ADP so like if I if I drafted a team back in you know April and I picked Jaylen pul for example right Jaylen pulk was going like probably around 16 17 in April where now he's going you know a lot higher than that so that's kind of all the the closing line value represents so if you go over here it'll show you the Clos line value for all your teams and you can look at you know you can look at any CSV that Underdog offer so you can look at all your big board teams your pre-draft stuff you can look at almost any team so that's why it's kind of fun to like go back and look it's all in one spot so you're not look like you can look go look at old Underdog team but it's not going to tell you exactly the closing line value on that we're like on bestall over.com you can check out all that cool stuff so um I think I have like some I'm gonna go Mike Evans here I'm pretty sure again here's another thing you can do if we're on baskball uh we have it set to best Ball Mania I can look up my my combinations so Drake London and bejan Robinson so I have three teams you say up here three teams of these in best ball mania one of them is the is the crazy team which is good um but you can see the other teams like I think I have a Derrick Henry I don't know why etn on this team Henry on this team and then Henry on this team so like like I said you can check your combinations where like I have Derrick Henry on both of these teams right I have me see Kirk Godwin I have Godwin on two of these three teams so like I'm I'm looking at that to make sure I don't like overexpose myself to like you know basically building the same team I want it to be a little bit different so I think going Mike I don't have Mike Evans on any of these three so that's good that is good so yeah just the little stuff like that that makes drafting a lot easier as well makes it a lot easier for me so that's cool and obviously shows you the 1617 player exposure so boom boom boom let's go I was hoping I was hoping that I have a small Stakes contest to draft I was like I was like God damn it the freaking mini schows are like I filled it last night but I was like it's gonna be open I'm not gonna have anything to to draft but it did fill before today anyway so all right we are six picks away so we got bejan Drake and Mike Evans A Little AFC South uh type of build we're we're we're cooking up right now yeah I mean I'm with I'm right there with you Jason I think korm pre-draft let me look at my pre-draft stuff I'm pretty sure corm pre-draft was like one of my most drafted players let me see exposure here um not as not as high as I thought he was I have oh no he is 21% Blake km in the pre he's my third most drafted player pre-draft was Blake that was more a player take thing obviously I didn't know what team he was going to be on but I just love Blake km coming out like he like I I this is a hot take I I thought Blake corn was the rb1 coming out so again that's kind of a personal thing I just thought I like the way like if you look at his 2021 tape or excuse me his 2022 tape before he TS ACL is insane like he's not like a like a you know Trey Benson's like a home run hitter type of deal uh Blake KMS like I I kind of compared it to like you know he's a if using the baseball analogy like he's like a Luis arise if you know who that is like like a like a a 320 hitter like he's going to pick up a bunch of chunks not necessarily you know beat you with his long speed but he's going to you know pick up chunks where like he can get five yards on a carry where like some r g get one you know what I mean stuff like that I think we go Josh Allen here um ah like just get taking the value on that 40 I have a rule where if Josh Allen's in the 40s I I don't pass on him so we're going to stay true to that rule and go Josh Allen what do you think it means for Ken's fantasy value now that he's returning punts well it's like obviously it's not it's like just because he's returning punts doesn't mean he also cannot play running back right that's not this Theory but it's like how many how many how many of these running backs that just that are getting drafted are returning punts you know you don't see bejon Robinson out there returning punts or saquan D you know what I mean like it's it's it doesn't even feel like like is like I mean they're basically saying he's Boston Scott you know what I mean but like he play it's it's just a weird thing like I just that was not on my bingo card kyen Williams are turning punts like I like I still I'm still like slightly convinced that like Shawn McVey is just like [ __ ] with us like he knows like he knows like what the deal is with Kiren and he's just like [ __ ] with us is he like is he if he's actually returning punts that's not good for his fantasy value he should be going a lot later like where he went right here like I just don't think like you know what like it's it's signaling that like they're like when you're trying to find like I don't know like 10 years ago maybe this wouldn't have been a problem right because like you know you had your a lot of your best players returning punts right maybe you had uh like Tyreek Hill was remember he was returning special teams type stuff Patrick Peterson big punt returner too um Tyron Matthew did I don't know I don't remember if he did in the league or not but um the point being today's day and age like how many Star players like who's the best like kick returner punt returner that like in like in terms of like their actual position like is it Rasheed Shahed you know you know what I'm trying to say and especially running backs too what's who's the best running back that returns punts and kick kickoffs I can't even name one so it's just like like they don't have anybody else to put back there maybe like I don't know like two2 app can't go back there and return punts so I I don't know man it just seems kind of kind of crazy kind of crazy that he the [ __ ] pun returner which is fine by me I I mean maybe I'll take a couple more shares of him if he falls which I mean I fully expect him to we still got about what a week a week and a couple days before the start of the season so I don't know man I don't know um 60% corm and more money than Mitchell so I guess st's out there well there you go there's there's the there's the bright side there's the bright side maybe everyone in the ram sucks at puns and K's the only guy McVey trusts kyen only uh only one doesn't have slippery hands to catch but here's the thing with that like you can go out and find a punt returner that's kick returner like pretty easily like there's guys on the market that you can find a return punts you know what I mean like it's not and maybe they're trying to save a roster spot but I don't know like I feel like I feel like that's Prett a pretty easy spot to fill you know what I'm saying so maybe he's just going to go out there and fair catch everything then yeah but like it's the NFL I feel like you'd want some you know guys who can actually return not just catch not just to catch them right if it's the NFL you can't find guys to catch them like that's a problem so now that it's safer the best players will be returning it just means kick return kick return but he's not doing kick returns didn't just say punt returns he's not even doing kick returns so I don't I don't even know the deal it's the punt returns haven't changed um I mean Amari Cooper after ADP like I'm not the huge Amari Cooper guy but like after what is this 11 picks after ADP I mean I'm in on that just to get unique yeah I'm in don't have to tell me twice don't have to tell me twice so yeah and so I think you know somebody who somebody who's draftable I think would be a guy like Pierre strong you know what I mean like what what deont Foreman's out like who are the other running backs they outside of here strong I let me let me look up the Cleveland dep chart Browns Browns depth chart so let's see here Browns depth chart yeah Pierre strong is rb3 Naim Hines is on the roster for rb4 so I mean it just feels like feels like Pier strong is definitely draftable you know and may maybe the argument is like yeah like is he still draftable is he going to be playing in week 17 probably not but you know crazier things have happened he's a good Advance rate guy you know maybe in like the last round of your draft like it's not like drone forward's going to be get 100% of the snaps right like I don't know Pier like Pier strong made the roster over deont Foreman so he's they obviously like him in some respect so come from a small schools who maybe just takes a little bit longer to uh to get a hold of things I don't know just just throwing out names you know just disc you know disgusting round 18 type guy so I think he's I mean I think he's worth a maybe worth a click depending maybe I mean Samuel to be you know what I mean like what saying that he's not going to be that guy he was he was good down the stretch last year and in the playoffs like khil Shakir was really good so I don't know I don't know maybe we're sleeping on khil Shakir KH Shakir we could be anyone know where KH Shakir went to college don't look it up no cheating does anybody know off the top of their head that was a fun receiver class coming out I just remember him being like a sleeper guy he's on Buffalo Mountain West Mountain West for those who are for the ball knowers who want to take a stab at it all right Wix goes I would love to get one of these two one of these two would be awesome I feel we're might to get teas like this draft is gonna take Kos care the next one's gonna take Brooks that would be devastating that would be absolutely devastating because outside of that like I mean I I draft oh I think okay we're gonna get one that's good now which one do I want is the real question which one do I want is now the real question o goes Brooks I guess that makes the decision easy for me I was thinking Brooks that's a really good value on him uh obviously play on the pup today but I mean kind of expecting that kind of not I mean it was like that was kind of the they're G we are they're GNA be cautious with him regardless we kind we kind of knew that coming in um I'm gonna go Shakir grab this my Advance rate last year I actually think I have it on my notes because I tracked all that stuff last year I wanted to know how many teams I had Advanced I'm pretty sure I have it from last year so obviously I would like it higher than that my Advanced dude where is this thing it's going to be from like January something like that um I don't remember what I called it best way here it is I found it um playoffs post week uh 15 19 okay wait post okay so post week 14 so that was so that's my advance I had 90 teams advancing out of um 53 teams so the math on that 90 divid 90 divided by 53 17.8% so not great also too I didn't like that's all my team like pre-draft everything um also too I didn't like stack like any of my big boy like I didn't dude I was like new even like last year like I was still kind of new to it like like seriously like the beginning of last year it wasn't until like after the pre-draft stuff ended until until I like I started like really diving into it so I mean I was kind of right there at 18% which is kind of what uh kind of what uh um you know is kind of because if you just do simple math two divided by 12 that's 16% so actually I guess I was above I was actually above uh the technically like the the threshold so it's obviously 16% is two by like two divided by 12 is 16 which is kind of what all the contests are so that's 10% higher or so than I expected so good job there there we go yeah I I'm talking about like Advanced like when you say Advanced rate I meant like the teams that I got from to the playoffs if that's what you were talking about but depends on how many uh were yeah so it's funny too so I have I have all this stuff I post week 15 post week 15 so going into week 16 so the second round of the playoffs I had 19 teams Advanced so of those 90 teams 19 divided by 90 wait 19 divided by 90 that's 21% 21% I had Advanced to to the second round of the playoffs I only had one team in the finals only one of those 19 teams made the finals because I didn't have any pickings or any uh Amari Cooper which was awful just awful okay I'm at a dilemma here I like this I don't love this I I don't mind this I don't mind this oh man we're just gonna we're gon to reach I think Tai Chan is like the best pick on the board right now I'm going to reach on him a little bit I don't care it's not too bad of a reach couple picks um I just think he's probably like one of like those guys where I feel you know he could be like just the League winner this team needs anything happens Darren Jones they just they just cut their third string running back today it the only running backs in the Vikings roster right now are Tai Chandler and Aaron Jones and Aaron Jones is due for like a hamstring probably like four games with a hamstring you know what I mean like Tai Chandler could have so much value and where he's going like around 12 usually um I think he's worth the I don't love reaching you know multiple slots like that um unless it's a player that I feel really strongly about so I think Tai ch right now the information that we currently have to go off of I totally think he's worth that reach worth you know just make if CMC goes down like I think it's worth it also too that's just good for Debo too this I think this new slightly boost Debo because Debo is gonna be more of a you know a rusher too then too which we which I think we like because I feel like when dbo gets the ball in the back field it's always like you know good like good big plays you know near the Red Zone type of play so I was big on Mitchell until the hamster injury then switched to Mason sprinkled in gendo RBS with 400 plus touches the year before I have pretty bad history the next year exactly I like it and and mcaffry is already heard
