Ejections 029-30 - Javier Baez Ejected After Nick Mahrley's Strike Three Call, AJ Hinch Follows

mighty swing and a miss you know what not surprised that he and that one is hooked down the line but foul which is low 97 miles reach for it and fastball is high and that one is strike three called on the outside corner strike three cold [Applause] [Applause] aj just got tossed [Applause] aj's trying to stay in between baez and home plate umpire nick marley tigers have squawked about the strike zone a lot tonight [Applause] times where tigers feel like they had strikes that weren't called for our pitchers and a couple close pitches there i'm not sure that was a ball but frustration is what's coming out here first ejection is the batter who sticks around to argue a bit too much and then that you don't give a you know and continuing to press that personal and profane remark it's only a matter of time it looked patient the ejection did just the batter had no intention of stopping or leaving you know if you're optimistic and you're a pitcher you say well that's a strike it caught part of the plate and if you're javi baez you think it's up and away off the plate [Applause] well maybe it was baez who got tossed not aj hinch and then aj hinch gets tossed so both run by umpire nick marley well i could read the lips and nick marley there telling aj hinch i warned him once i warned him twice and now aj hinch has been thrown out so things are getting a little ugly here in the bottom of the ninth inning you know what i'm going to give nick marley's credit here though dallas is he's doing what i always say umpire should do he's walking away from the confrontation right and how many times has we've seen an ump go at the confrontation he walked away down the line let rob drake the crew chief settle things down but he got out of there and i said that's what you should do don't make the situation worse make it better marley got out of there and the situation got cleared up and there's probably nothing he can even do to try to defuse the situation oh they're mad at him because anything he's gonna say is gonna be falling on deaf ears right yep but that's a great point kite was we have seen the um show live and in full effect here recently
