Puka Nacua To IR! Now What?!

good evening fantasy endgame family it is Monday evening which is always good during football season because we got a little bit more action still one game left of week one should be a pretty good game it's got the ners going against the Jets maybe we'll see what Aaron Rogers actually looks like in a Jets uniform for more than two minutes we'll talk about him in a little bit hopefully everybody had a good Sunday Thursday Friday you know all the days that those games have been played it was an interesting week I will tell you that um thankfully you know I said this on the waiver wire video of course that's out got to have your Panic video see I know there's a lot of panic that's setting in for a lot of players especially tight ends um I said it wasn't a big injury week so that's good right no season Enders from major players but we did have a big one and you know Monday the day after we kind of find out more deep tails and uh it's kind of a big one because not only did puka nakua leave the game okay that stings but he is going to miss not just one not two but he's gonna miss at least four games because just like that he's an IR uh didn't see that coming so no well if you drafted Cooper cup I guess you're doing back flips right about now yes you know what's funny it's kind of like we're seen the reverse of last year right where Cooper cup came into the season a little banged up and then like the Rams are like nah he's fine and then no not fine goes on ir and puka goes off now we're seeing the opposite with puka but I will say the good news here if there is any good news for a guy going on IR it sounds like most likely thing is a PCL sprain which according to the doctors or whatever out there he should be able to return early to midseason at the latest so not going to be a season Ender he's going to be back he'll be fine uh but yes if you have Cooper Cup right now I mean you just you just hit the nuts honestly like you just yeah congrats yeah I uh it's pretty appropriate somebody said it I probably saw it on Twitter is you know this year's pukaa is going to be Cooper cup not the same uh you still drafted and people were drafting Cooper cup looked like too early but it's not too early when pukaa the other number one receiver goes out and is going to miss a month so look come on luck is always a huge factor with injuries bad luck and then good luck on the other side now it is worth exploring because both you and I talked up Demarcus Robinson just for this contingency which like we kind of more assumed it would be Cooper Cup who got hurt not puka AA but as number three receiver in a high volume pass offense with a good quarterback uh good offensive minded coach like Shawn McVey but if one of those two goes down D Rob is the one to grab so we grabbed a lot of him in Underdog drafts but all of a sudden you got guys like Tyler Johnson who swear to God did not know was still with the Rams until yesterday and Jordan Whittington uh I mean is there somebody else to grab here is it D Rob do we have to wait and see no it's it's Demarcus Robinson like you look at it last night um Cooper cup 51 routes on 51 Matthew Stafford dropbacks as expected Demarcus Robinson 47 routes so he ran all but four routes Tyler Johnson only 33 so I mean yeah Tyler Johnson maybe if like Demarcus Robinson is already gone but it's not like we it's not like this guy is you know new to the Rams this year like just new like oh no we like this guy he he's had he's had chances he's had time and I know he made that Splash play last night that big play and that's what everybody sees and that's what everybody of course likes because that's fantasy points but I mean I can't count on a 60 plus yard catch every week from Tyler Johnson so I think the guy you want here is Demarcus Robinson as far as a wide receivers go and it's funny because some people be like oh who's this guy was he like an undrafted free agent you know like a like a eight round rookie no been in the NFL for is it four four seasons already five um just just didn't do much and I remember he was a stud in college put up huge numbers for the Golden Gophers but um that doesn't matter all of these guys put up big numbers in college um so yeah not going to buy into that but we'll see man if you are of course missing puka now for a month I really hope there's not too many of you I know there's some who maybe have Jordan love and puka akua on the same team maybe also like you know I'll take David and joku as my tight ends you know what it happens it just it happens right it's part of the game part of the game like I say fantasy football is more about attrition than anything else but we are going to hope if and I kind of hope you didn't draft Aaron Rogers as your starting quarterback but hopefully if you did he doesn't you know have anything like last year we're going to look forward to a good game from him although he does play at ners on the road let's see what that Jets offense looks like just as a whole Garrett Wilson of course tonight hopefully he goes off um so we're going to talk about a little bit about that game we're gonna of course here answer your questions and uh you know what you want a vent go ahead and vent you know just go ahead and just come out with it yeah you're down bad after one week just remember it's only one week we still got 16 left it's not over it's definitely the world is not over your fantasy team is not dead in the water if you win 0 And1 all right but if you want event you can go and do that we can commiserate here you want to take some victory laps after one week go for it do it this is the time to do it if your player went off because you you might not get that chance again you never know exactly just you never know take that lap while you can you have more importantly start sit questions for tonight maybe you're between two guys maybe you're just not sure what to do who knows whatever the case is let us um but look if if I have moster I'm like okay oh well I drafted moster fairly late doesn't look like it's going to be anything close to last year I mean maybe but I'll just bench moster now Marvin Harrison in London's different story London you got to just Bank on the fact that Kurt Cousins will get better and will be better and the offense will be better like you just have to bank on that because we've seen Kurt Cousins pretty much throughout his whole career be much better than he was on Sunday look it's a good Steelers defense first game in the new system hasn't played football in like almost a year so okay I'm G chalk that one up to like okay cousins brother the new system they're not jelling London London will be okay Marvin Harrison's a bit of a strange one he was out there like 90 something percent of the snaps it wasn't like he wasn't out there it wasn't like they weren't using him he just I don't know wasn't getting targets but I gotta think that's going to change he's too good of a player they didn't they didn't draft him with a number four pick to have Kyler Murray just throw the ball at Greg dorch for three yards you know all game long and Trey McBride for five yards all game long so okay not the starts you wanted here but it will get better for sure it should get better I mean definitely it's it's just one week and uh you know if anybody's going to give you that positive Mojo it's our guy rise above anything you can definitely rise above an 0 and one start it's just week one I'll say this right now I I haven't check I haven't even checked my scores yet because I just I don't even have time I don't even time to check my scores I usually start horrible in fantasy football no joke I usually usually start horrible in fantasy football but then I still end up winning like not every League of I don't win every league but I still end up winning multiple championships by the end because really like I once heard somebody say something I think it's really true it's really true most players outside of like the Tyreek Hills the like the guys who are good almost every single week they're gonna get hot for some point over the season some guys will get hot in the beginning some guys will get hot in the middle and some guys will get hot in the end so all these players right now that everybody thinks they have a League winner on their hands because they drafted whoever they're going to cool off and then by the end of the season they're going to be like oh this guy isn't even good anymore so yeah just trust that you have that your players are good and that they'll get going eventually I mean you ask me what I rather have the team that's hot in the beginning or the end it's obvious answer I almost feel better if my guys underachieve early on um if my guys are all hitting in week one I'm like okay what's going to happen regression uh so anyways um be patient be patient but this I think legit question now of course you did the Panic video Drake London is uh you know pretty much cover boy not that there weren't several but are we good with Drake London I mean I will say of of all like the the major bus um and look the majority of them were at wide receiver because passing was horrible in week one the average yards per game passing across the entire league in week one was 185 yards like passing was horrible in week one almost across the board in the NFL so when like when your QB throws for 160 yards what do you like what what do you what are you expecting like what's he what is he what are you gonna get you're not going to get anything so you're not going to get much but I will say what the thing that maybe makes me a little bit more worried about Drake London than say like I mean obviously Aman Rin brown or even like DK metf or even Chris olve is we've yet to see Drake London do it now a lot of that's not his own fault but at least like with guys like olve like I'm like okay that game was weird they had 30 points halfway through the second quarter and they just like had just stopped playing basically right and then they they arrested everybody um so yeah I might be a little more worried about Drake London than everybody else kind of on that list but at the same time I'm I'm banking on the talent and the uh T cousins getting better and we just got some huge news uh Christian mcaffry is out tonight wow out completely completely okay well why we do this because if you had Christian mcav which you should have look if don't kick yourself if you had CMC in your starting lineup because you absolutely should have um there probably was not a running back with more upside that you had sitting on your bench if you have Jordan Mason of course that's just there's no just you just do it right you just put Jordan Mason in you don't have another option what other option do you have tonight because you don't have Breeze Hall most likely there's no running back on the Jets that's worth putting in there is it is it Jordan Mason for sure is there somebody else he's even worth considering I think it's got to be Jordan Mason Elijah Mitchell is out Isaac arendo is their their kick returner punt returner guy I don't even know who who else it's got to be Jordan Mason wow that is that is brutal to find out look right before kick yeah right before kickoff so look at look at the first round of fantasy draft so far CMC already out CD L was just okay uh am mon ra St Brown was horrible bejon was okay we'll see about Breeze Hall Justin Jefferson was was good I would say he was good um AJ Brown was great okay so there you go so there's one we got one Tyreek Hill was great okay so there's two we got two AJ Brown Tyreek Hill uh jir Gibbs was good okay so there's three but he wasn't even always a first-rounder I don't even know hukan AA already hurt uh Marvin Harrison was sometimes a first-rounder he's Terri he was terrible um we'll see about Carro Wilson tonight like yeah what a start what a start oh my God guy is falling everywhere but look uh there will be better days ahead unless you have a legitimate reason to worry about that specific player like some of them there are reasons with London just real quick I'll say I'm not worried about him or even the new coaching staff I got to worry that Kurt Cousins all he did the entire game was sit back there in the pocket and shotgun and they tried to make him move as little as possible and he didn't even want to move like even in the pocket so I gotta wonder is he not 100% on that leg because remember he suffered a season ending injury last year so I wonder if he's just not right that's my concern but we'll see let's get to some super chats here uh as we catch up Jason kones what's up Jason got Mahomes Barkley hn St Brown cubell Kelce Aaron Jones and the Bears na the victory very nice you did have I mean that's impressive because you did have some busts there but I think Barkley and cup pretty much carried you yes um yeah well Barkley the highest scorer so far and cup up there so definitely so good for now defense cup remain wide receiver one all season possibly no I mean no but at the same time I'm not going to tell you to get rid of cup because for however long puka is out cup is going to be an absolute monster so just ride with cup he'll be fine when puka comes back I mean certainly when puka comes back I mean like cuup is never getting 21 targets again even in his historic season he never got 21 targets that was just craziness last night and what was lost in that game was how unbelievable Matthew Stafford was by the way nobody talking about how insane Matthew Stafford was last night two starting tackles gone just out there slinging it um but he's goingon to be very good give me a must start every week the PUK is out so just roll with them just roll with them no I mean obviously this is tricky you have guys on both end of the spectrum there's no reason no justifiable way you could trade even cop if you oh I'm worried he'll get hurt oh come on you can't trade Barkley or cup because that would be pretty dumb and there's no reason to trade Sam Brown or Kelsey because oh they had a bad game Dell will be better no you're good you have a good team just like you won don't mess with it uh anine apparently did not win lost three out of four ready to quit but not really won't don't quit next week you win three out of well here's what probably happen next week you'll win three out of four and the league you won in this week where you feel like great about that team will look terrible people why like like like like whatever just grab a tight end Kobe Parkinson I would just grab Kobe Parkinson for free honestly and not spend any dollars on on likely it was me Parkinson's looking like a very good option now that puka is out so and he did get a couple of receptions already yeah exactly I mean if you want likely that's fine 10 bucks Max but you could probably grab Parkinson for nothing it's a 12 teamer I doubt he's rostered now for QB uh yeah Mayfield of course if you watch the waiver wire video that's my top option um I to me out of that group I would say at Fields the starting I would go field you agree with that I don't know who do the who do the uh who do the Steelers play this week Broncos I mean okay it's not it's not a bad matchup and he could run he could run could put CMC in IR or you just have somebody at the end of your bench who was terrible like maybe you stashed somebody and they were they were terrible go get Jordan Mason right now maybe he can get except like what happened week one you're were right about that um he could still come back next week and be 100% and be great the rest of the season and it'll it'll still be fine so true all right now this let's answer this for juice what about Greg dorch so okay this is a guy that we actually um we didn't talk about him necessarily on like our videos because it's like Greg dorch was not a sleeper that you needed to draft in like your 10 12 team leagues obviously but on if you watch a lot of our bestas ball streams we were saying that Greg dorch is one of our favorite kind of last round picks you know around 17 round 18 picks uh in in baseball so of course I I can't sit here and now say like oh no I'm not in on Greg dorch but also we as good as Greg dorch was six catches for 47 yards a a whopping seven point yards per reception I mean this is a guy that is floor only right like like yeah sure he'll he probably won't I mean he could kill you but like he's you're you're never going to feel like oh Greg dorch was great this week like unless he randomly scores a touchdown and then you'll probably feel like okay he was good this week um so like yeah sure you can pick up Greg dorge but I feel like there's more exciting guys to pick up than Greg torch and you've gotta figure they'll actually throw it to Marvin Harrison at some point so I mean yes I don't know it was really weird how that game just just the whole thing worked out so I can't say he he's not worth a pickup either but probably not your top option I didn't mention him as a top wave wire priority so uh Gabriel lost puka lost Higgins was already thin although if that was your number two receiver you must have a good number one receiver um okay needs auk to score less than 18 well you could definitely pull that out okay but needing a wide receiver here wandale Dr you just go Dr to replace puka yeah give me the guy that's in the Rams offense not the guy that's in the like again W Del is gonna kind of be like a slightly better Greg dorch um but unless he scores or you know rips off a long run after the catch you know what what's the upside here really I mean like is are there is there anybody still I don't even think the Giant still believe in Daniel Jones anymore like I I don't even think his own team believes in Him Malik neighbors one game it already sounds like he doesn't believe in Daniel Jones like is there anybody who still believes in Daniel Jones out there like I don't really want yeah I don't really want to like it's the third quarter and Daniel Jones has you know he's five for 25 for 30 yards and two interceptions and I'm like why did I start a giant and I know that they play the commanders this week which is going to be very very very tempting but I don't know man it's this is going to be the great like okay which side gives the Daniel Jones and that horrible Giants offense or the Washington commanders and that horrible defense wh which side is able to impose their lack of Will on the other their lack of will that's funny it's like the uh the movable object and the uh the resistible force something like that I don't know yeah yeah um just go Robinson like I'm okay obviously picking up juandale um but I I definitely would prefer Demarcus Robinson right now and then this followup here Brandon eie is Tyler Johnson worth picking up if Dr Rob is already rostered I mean sure why not pick him up if you got a B I mean don't drop somebody that has potential just to get Tyler Johnson but if you like again if you stash somebody and they were terrible this week you stash them like oh let see what they do and they did nothing and they barely involved in the offense go ahead pick up Tyler Johnson see what happens worst case if he's terrible you just drop him next week yeah I I mean again it depends who else is out there he's not going to be my top choice but if nothing else is really appealing it's worth a shot who knows um talk about like that Commander giant sounds like this was this matchup of the people had burrow conc and Cooper but yet won because his opponent had more busts than him so sometimes who's the least worst yep exactly sometimes it's who's less worse just have to be better than your opponent you were one point 16 points better that's all that matters got the W all right Serge lost Jake Ferguson that's another one I mean good news it's not a and he's weak to week then again uh they said puka is weak to week that he got put on IR uh Jake Ferguson out at least a week if not more MTH I mean he's fine he he four catches 27 yards I mean he'll get you something right he won't get you he probably won't get you a zero so that's good um but again I'd probably prefer somebody like Colby Parkinson with with pukan AA out I mean he had a pretty nice game last night what did he have he had Kobe Parkinson last night and he was a guy another guy was kind of drafting very late in baseball best ball okay four for 47 I mean yeah I don't know I I get I mean M is fine like close your eyes throw a dart whatever tight end it lands on start them hope for the best yeah at this point I mean even the stud tight ends are worthless no again it will change but I he's fine solid I guess as solid as a tight end could be from the waiver wire um okay so it could be worse this sorry we're commiserating here Daniel Fernandez had just traded waddle and Stevenson for puka to add to his receiver room of Al in London that doesn't feel too good no doesn't feel doesn't feel too good especially after what Wad and Stevenson did this week but there will be better days um Alexis agular hello Alexis um my league are the type of idiots to stash two quarterbacks so you got love only hope is Caleb okay so that means I'm assuming your other choices are like Gardner mshu Daniel Jones Etc do you trust Caleb Williams next week we also should remind everyone that ROM dun is having an MRI Keenan Allen limped off the field so what do you do here just trust Caleb H hard trust and and they did they did just say Romo dun week to week so he's probably out this week uh I mean it's hard to trust Caleb after that game 93 yards 93 uh I don't think I can roll with Caleb this week week honestly I mean I'm I'm trying I'm looking at the schedule here like okay who's got a decent matchup that I can't do Daniel Jones I just is Justin Herbert out there he gets a Panthers at least well if everyone sashing two quarterbacks I'm I'm almost positive Herbert you know cousins those types are gone maybe Justin Fields is your savior who knows um yeah maybe Fields is he still out there uh what about I don't know maybe some maybe somebody will drop cousins or something like that and you can take a chance on him yeah actually you never know maybe somebody juice saying Sam darnold and I was gonna recommend him but then he plays the 49ers this week I don't know if I want to start Sam darnold against the 49ers well and then so she's asking do I make a move for a QB I'm also uh I think she might be meaning do I trade for a quarterback would is it too early for that you just wait for love yeah because again like we're here in love three to six weeks but everything sounds like he's more closer to three weeks than six weeks they haven't put him on IR which is a good sign which means okay they're probably expecting a three-week absence hopefully because if they're expecting longer they'd probably just put them on IR like just saw puka um so if he's only out three week let's say you go out and trade like as Steve uh suggested bur if you're into that um a good bu low or whatever you you go trade for this quarterback and then in three weeks you get love back okay so you had this three-week rental I mean if you can get like a if you can get a quarterback for like dirt cheap for somebody just on your bench okay fine but don't like I would not trade a a starter for a three-week rental quarterback which is usually what people who stash to QBs want they're like oh yeah you want Dak Prescott well I want you know like Chris Godwin you know or something like that it's like n get out of here dude get out of here no it love will be back my thing too is Caleb Williams of course didn't do anything week one it's it's his first game ever in the NFL I know the receiving C is banged up I don't want to start Caleb Williams this week but you drafted him cuz feel good about him obviously give it a week I mean if you can roll out a guy like Fields this week I just to get you by I think that's fine and then next week you go with Caleb if he looks any better um you know I wouldn't trade for a quarterback right now Elmer and shambles have uh javante rb2 Higgins at the flex uh are these guys good enough you got Bucky Irving probably Jordan Mason not Jason Mason or moster Brian and Kirk um yeah I mean look I still believe in Kirk remember last year won catch in the first game and then he was fine but look Brian Thomas Jr looked good too so you should feel pretty good about him yeah I know you can't start Jordan Mason now probably because you probably already started you know you probably want room for him but if cmc's out again next week Jordan Mason is going to be a very strong start especially against the Vikings that's going to be a very strong start for Jordan Mason um and look Bucky Irving looked good I think he's at least fxw worthy if you need him so yeah I think you can get by and let's hope let's hope Higgins is back well even if he continues to miss time which very well can miss next week Kirk should be totally fine I think you're good at receiver I mean look if CMC is out next week you're loving having Jordan Mason right you're fine so I think you'll be okay you're not in shambles just yet um I do need to starting multiple running backs so they can't put CMC in the flex but that was smart that you did do that though though cuz you always should put your latest starting player in the flex if you can obviously if you're only going to start two running backs you got to start them both in the running back position but if you have that luxury you should so smart you do that there you go that is uh that's very much an endgame move you guys have heard of this before you know don't lock in your Flex on like Thursday or last week Friday night you know say that this is just in case and here you go just in case came true so uh unfortunately run CMC will not be happening tonight but Julio is in the house what's up Julio are we dropping the bus I know juice is he already told me he's like's I'm and a half legs basically right you could even see by the way he's running it's just like okay this guy is nowhere near healthy now again kind of like Bree Hall last year remember week one Bree Hall ripped off those two long runs you could tell he wasn't close to healthy and then what happened after that he was mostly terrible and then at the end of the season he he got good again so it's not like a lock that Dobbins is is like back remember he's coming off an Achilles and an ACL and he didn't look close to 100% yesterday so Bucky might be the one I want the most though because I think I think we're going to see an interesting backfield split pretty soon I think we're going to see Bucky be the lead back with rad white being like the pass catching back at some point here really soon so yeah I want to pick up those guys but I don't know if I want to drop I'm not ready to drop Gus just yet uh I mean it it would be both nice and aggravating at the same time to have both Chargers running backs because then you're not sure who to start or like what's going to go on there you know um I will say this that Gus Edwards still got more carries than JK Dobbins JK Dobbins ripped off big runs and Gus didn't get more than two yards ever I mean he just ran straight into the pile every time they just stopped him constantly like he didn't even pretend to do anything and that's his game right he just runs up the middle but usually he's able to do something he just did nothing I'm not giving up on him after one week because this team still ran the ball more than they passed it um and that's going to continue that's continue uh so I no I mean I understand wanting Dobbins over Gus because same backfield he was better so I I mean you could do that it's really close there between all three of those guys so maybe just don't worry about the headache and just go Bucky now I'm not dropping Deontay I do want to pick up J but I can't drop Deonte after one week no I will say my Panic level is much higher on Deonte than it is on a monado St Brown because Panthers didn't look any better than last year and if this is the if this is what we're going to get from the Panthers it's it's and I like their match up the best so that's why I would go with chargers would be the second choice if you don't get them uh and then probably go Colby and if you can get Baker it's a 10 teamer you should be able to get him that's my first choice what about this talked about jsn here never had it so good would you drop jsn for tank bsby oh man this is surprisingly closer than I thought it would not and that but that's not abnormal all right Jeff talking about trading out of desperation you know that every Jordan love owner is getting multiple trade offers for a backup quarterback on one roster to get a player on their roster so this though is a little different would you trade Henry to get Lamar if you have love no because again you're trading a potentially high-end running back okay sure you're getting you're getting a great QB no doubt about it but then what are you going to do When Love Comes Back you're just going to have love I mean you're going to have love on the bench right you're just going to you're basically rolling with Lamar rest of the season and Love's just going to sit on your bench um again it it sounds like love is closer to the three-week timeline than the six-week timeline in three four weeks from now you could have love and Derrick Henry instead of Lamar and love so I'm not I'm not again I'm not doing this like I'll trade like a bench if there somebody on my bench like if I have like a jsn on my bench or maybe I'm really deep at wide receiver and like Deonte is my wide receiver five or six and somebody wants to gamble on him or something like that I might do something like that for Lamar but I'm not potentially trading my rb1 away for Lamar and then three weeks from now love is back and I'm like oh I could have had Henry still right again he's not out for the season if you were him maybe that would be different but love will come back uh I want to keep Derrick Henry I mean I didn't call him a League winner all off season and then decide I I'll just trade him for a quarterback so if it's me I'm I'm keeping Henry yeah trust me he'll be fine uh got to agree Arthur Swanson yes of course everyone's freaked out um wait till week
