preseason that Eric dasta couldn't have just been satisfied with the options that he had at quarterback and he even teased it a little bit the other day in this press conference he said we like the room but it doesn't mean that we won't add another guy which we could do at some point now knowing you guys and knowing the comments section and reading what you guys all have been talking to me about a lot of people wanted Ryan tanah Hill and I think Ryan tanah Hill would have fine I think he would have been more expensive and he's obviously a lot older than Tyler Huntley is but what Snoop brings is he brings a familiar face not just with his organization but these teammates and and just all the fans man I can't imagine how excited Lamar Jackson is to have that guy back in the quarterback room Jordan Schultz broke the news tweeting at 311 uh breaking former Pro Bowl quarterback Tyler Snoop Huntley is expected to sign with the hashtag Ravens per multiple sources a reunion alongside Lamar Jackson in Baltimore and the thing that has been so great about what Huntley has meant to this franchise is he's just been there in times of need that's all you want your quarterback to your backup quarterback to be you don't need him to go out and be a guy that can throw for 500 600 yards but you need a guy that can win your games with good teams and Baltimore has a good team and Tyler Huntley can win you some games if you look at his career numbers right 2021 was his best season that's when he played his most games 1,81 yards three touchdowns four interceptions the fact that he's completing in every season except the last one over 60% of his passes I think is always a good look for your backup quarterback he hasn't been too solid of of keeping the ball on the offensive side but hey that's only going to come and I think Todd monin kind of wanted to go with a quarterback during this off season that broke the mold from the Jackson I think he wanted a guy that could sit back there and was a pocket passer and just was kind of diabolical with the way that he threw the football and was just kind of a Precision guy not a guy that relied too much on his legs but was just a guy that could pick you apart passing the ball they took a flyer on Devon ly drafted him in the sixth round of this last draft and obviously that hasn't worked out so I think Todd monin is sitting there have to absolutely grind through those PR three preseason games especially that first one now Josh Johnson did step things up against Atlanta but we had to absolutely grind through those first preseason games watching those quarterbacks and now L's on the practice squad I think things are going to move around Johnson's on the 53 man I think things are going to move around and we got a backup quarterback that we've trusted before and I think we can trust again and and this is what we're talking about with Deon lry right you look at these stats and I just mentioned it I think Todd monin and John Harbaugh and Eric dasta thought this guy could be the future as a Ravens backup quarterback because he was different than Lamar Jackson but when you Trot out there and you get more time than anybody in the preseason and you go 15 for 28 with 95 yards two picks and a rating barely above 30 that's not going to win you a job it's just not and if you look how happy Lamar Jackson and Tyler hutley are together they love each other everybody's so excited I'm sure in Baltimore to get him back in the building because we all know how this goes right when you play in the NFL injuries happen and they happen sometimes we hate it but they happen to the best players on your te and I'm not saying that that 100% is going to happen but in the event that that does happen now we've got a backup quarterback in the building that I myself and I'm sure you guys as fans can feel confident in to lead the Ravens to win a game or two right to win a game or two or three because you've seen it Johnson is a vet I know he's been in the NFL for a really long time and I read you's quote yesterday that that Josh Johnson to this team at times is like a coach and I'm sure that's all true but can he win you a football game you don't need quarterbacks to coach you need them to win football games now Tyler Huntley did get signed of the practice squad there was an open spot left we talked about that yesterday when we went down to 15 we're like are they leaving it open for something is this does this mean something turns out that it did now I'm sure practice squad and 53 man will Shuffle around in the next couple days obviously it's got a little while to shuffle around because you still got six days till kickoff but man I'm excited and I think you guys should be excited too so play
