Garrett Morgan School of Engineering Wrestlers Head to National Tournament

I always say if you want to be the best you got to beat the best I'm anxious but I'm like super excited yeah I'll be excited to compete with people outside Ohio the tournament they're going to Fargo Nationals is kind of considered the premier tournament nationally hi my name is Kaya I'm a rising senior my name is Malik I'm a rising sophomore at G Morgan School of Engineering Innovation I've been wrestling for 6 months I've been doing wrestling for about 6 months now but they both work incredibly hard K is very cerebral she got into wrestling and she was very very immediately coachable which is the best quality you can have in an athlete and as of right now she's the number one 110 lb girl in the state of Ohio for freestyle Malik he is aggressive he just clearly you can see loves the sport very eth really both of them are super Harding and I'm I'm very proud of them both I feel blessed truly and I like I thank my coach honestly for like um building my confidence and helping me build my work ethic to get this far I feel really blessed to be able to do that cuz not a lot of people can say that they did that in like 6 months not a lot of people can say that they're like going to those Feats at 6 months I feel feel good that I'm going against good better people that pushed me harder and make me learn more and I also want to like put like representation out there cuz like in wrestling there's not a lot of representation for um black women in general competing against people across the country is a huge opportunity for Kay and Malik
