Church everybody y'all may take a seat thank you so much for worshiping um um and would you please join me um with me if if you would in a moment of silence followed by The Serenity Prayer in its entirety God grant me the serenity to accept the things I cannot change the courage to change the things I can and the wisdom to know the difference living one day at a time enjoying one moment at a time accepting hardship as a pathway to peace taking as he did this sinful world as it is not as I would have it trusting that he will make all things right if I surrender to his will that I may be reasonably happy in this life and supremely happy with him forever in the next amen amen amen hello everybody Welcome to Serenity Church yeah it's that kind of a thing [Laughter] my name is John and I'm a very grateful recovering drug addict an alcoholic and by the grace of God I haven't had to get high or get drunk for 13,485 days today that's a really long time and you may say but John how does an old dope F like you not do dope for 13,485 days one of the things I learned is that half measures availed me nothing we stood at the turning point and we ask for God's protection and care with complete abandon and here are the steps we took which are suggested as a program of recovery we're all going to read each step together and then if you'll pause Before The Next Step I'll give you a word from God's word that says that same truth that we find in that step step one we admitted we're powerless over what hurts us and our lives had become unmanageable therefore I'll boast all the more gladly about my weaknesses so that Christ's power May rest on Me 2 Corinthians 12 step two we came to believe that a power greater than ourselves could restore us to sanity therefore he is able to save completely those who come to God through him because he always lives to intercede for them Hebrews chapter 7 step three we made a decision to turn our will and our lives over to the care of God as we understood him therefore Jesus said it again very truly I tell you I'm the gate for the Sheep John 10:7 seven step four we made a searching and fearless moral inventory of ourselves therefore my friends I want you to know that through Jesus the Forgiveness of sins is proclaimed to you acts 13 step five we admitted to God to ourselves and to another human being the exact nature of our wrongs therefore confess your sins to each other and pray for each other so that you may be healed the prayer of a righteous person is powerful and effective James chapter 5 step six we were entirely ready to have God remove all these defects of character therefore since we have been justified through faith we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ Romans chapter 5 step seven we humbly ask him to remove our shortcomings therefore humble yourself under God's Mighty hand that he may lift you up First Peter chapter 5 step eight we made a list of all persons we had harmed and became willing to make amends to them all therefore let us make every effort to do what leads to peace and to building each other up Romans 14 step nine we made direct amends to such people wherever possible except when to do so would injure them or others therefore if you're offering your gift at the altar and there remember that your brother or sister has something against you leave your gift there in front of the altar first go and be reconciled to them and then come and offer your gift Matthew 5 step 10 we continued to take personal inventory and when we were wrong promptly admitted it therefore my dear brothers and sisters stand firm let nothing move you always give yourselves fully to the work of the Lord because you know that your labor in the Lord is not in vain 1 Corinthians 15 Step 11 we sought through prayer and meditation to improve our conscious contact with God as we understood him praying only for knowledge of his will for us and the power to carry that out therefore I tell you whatever you ask for in prayer believe that you have received it and it will be yours and when you stand praying if you hold anything against anyone forgive them so that your father in Heaven May forgive you your sins Mark chap 11 in Step 12 having had a spiritual awakening as a result of these steps we tried to carry this message to others and to practice these principles in all our Affairs therefore everyone who hears these words of mine and puts them into practice practice is like a wise man who builds his house on the rock Matthew chapter 7 thank you John thank you John hey welcome to serinity church everyone it's so good to see everyone here our our our visitors our our new people man we uh love you guys you guys are amazing my name is Logan Williams I'm a very grateful recovered meth addict and alcoholic and I have um because of an experience with Jesus and this church and these steps and all the stuff that we have to do I haven't found necessary to drink or get high since August 11th of 2021 and just for you John that's 1,130 days today yeah it's but uh you know many of you knew me back then and man was it [Music] ugly but but hey how many of us in here know that there's not a broken two broken that God can't put back together amen like I don't know about you guys but I'm so grateful that the blood of Jesus was on the doorpost of my life through the madness through the crazy through the darkness through the through when I'd given up on him he he he didn't give up on me he kept seeking after me leaving the 99 to come to me I'd forget about him he he he's not a God that forgets God wants to say to someone in here today that he does not forget you he sees you he sees you man we are going to have an encounter with him right now we're going about to come to the table the communion table we're going to have an experience with Jesus and I want us to really come after it I was thinking uh I was thinking about the woman in Mark chapter 5 with the the bleeding issue um she's been coming to me a lot lately and and I I was thinking about her and you know the Bible says that she she was bleeding non-stop for 12 years 12 years and I can you imagine that she probably got a little discouraged during those 12 years maybe she lost faith lost hope gave up but then Jesus comes on the scene and this Faith Rises up in her and she's like man I gotta get I gotta get to him today is gonna be my day that I get I dare you that I get healed today is GNA be the day she she got through the crowd she had to touch Jesus I've got to touch him if I can just I've got to know him I've got to have an experience with him and so I want us to posture our hearts I want us to have that that same kind of Faith right now in this moment let's get through the crowd I see a crowd here you know it's funny after she touched him Jesus said who touched me and his disciples said what do you mean everybody's touching you everyone's bumping up against you everyone's knocking into you we're all here bumping up against Jesus right now who's going to reach out and be intentional and grab him right now in this moment and get their breakthrough to get their healing to get whatever it is that they indeed let's do that right here in this moment um guys I don't know what you guys came in here with I don't know what you're going through but but I know that he does and we're GNA have an encounter with him right now amen amen so there's going to be three stations up here this one in the middle is going to be gluten-free um you're going to receive a piece of bread that represents the body of Christ broken for you and you're going to dip it into the juice which represents the blood of Christ shed for you and after service tonight we're going to have an Overcomers meeting back in the fellowship hall and in here there will be a Bible class taught by David Christensen who's been teaching the Bible for 40 years it's amazing it's like you know that Joe and Charlie the big book comes alive like the Bible comes alive and David christensen's uh Bible class that's cool so there's something for everybody here all right something for everyone here also just to remind everybody we meet at four o'clock in the back for just a spontaneous prayer and worship we pray for our church we pray for our uh the inmates we pray for um our city we pray that God brings people here that God grows our church that we can impact more people anything you want to pray about your family your business whatever it is but it's at four o'clock if it's back there it's pretty powerful and we'd really like to see you guys come pray with us that's what we're supposed to be doing right doing this thing together all right so there's a long-standing tradition here at Serenity Church that one of our beloved uh family members before we take communion they come up and they tell us what communion means to them and T T nighted is Daisy so I'm looking forward to [Applause] Daisy hi everyone my name is Daisy and I'm a grateful Overcomer hi Daisy so anybody that knows me knows that um Sports and music are my passion so when I was thinking about okay what am I going to talk about like what does communion truly truly mean to me I was blank I had nothing and I was like God just tell me what you want me to say and I love this place because like it's wonderful how everything just kind of magically comes together like you don't no one plans this like ever and it just magically like comes together like everybody's like music's on point the you know sermon on point the communions on point like it's amazing so when I was thinking about this um I was listening to some music as always trying to figure out what I was going to do and um this song came on it's called God's Gift um I listen to a lot of rap alternative music so Aunt laori might not like it um so but it has this the lyrics in it that um really really spoke to me and we've been talking about broken people um I know I'm broken but God is fixing me every single minute of every single day so um part of the lyrics goes the addiction cycle in my family I was never meant to break it the devil really wanted us eliminated but I refused to be intimidated as I always stand strong because I know the pain doesn't last forever adversity is something that I never pass on at one point I didn't think that I was strong enough till I was thinking all of this L for long enough I keep it going even though I felt defeated and people were telling me to quit cuz it's convenient but man I was the only person that I ever needed and that's because almighty God and I are in agreement he wanted me to help all the broken ones and show them they are not the only ones CU they're pain inside of all of us that is overdone so with that being said everybody in here is deing with something whether it's addiction or Kota or you name it and one of us probably has it so just know that when you come to the table let it all go and let God take care of you because he will answer everything that you think you can do better with that said I am done thank you thank you Daisy I'm going to pray for us Heavenly Father we we draw near to you right now Lord we just thank you for uh that you tore the veil we can come into your presence at any time God that you're closer to us than the than the breath that we take God I just um let us never take that for granted God let us never um forget that that wonderful awesome gift um what you did for us God let us remember that right now God I just pray that your Holy Spirit would fall on this place in Jesus name amen the table is open [Music] [Music] [Music] I need you to serve in my heart and break me apart I need you to open my eyes to see that you're shaping my life all I am cuz all I [Applause] am I Surrender [Music] Give Me Faith to trust what you say that you're good and your love is great I'm broken inside I give you my life [Music] I need you to soften my heart and break me apart I need you to pierce through the dark and cleanse every part of me all I am cuz all I am I [Music] Surrender oh Give Me Faith to trust what you say that you're good and your love is great I'm broken inside I give you my [Music] life all right y'all why don't us to go ahead and take a seat really quick oh um thank you God for bringing us here for just tonight um so I have just had one of those weeks um where you you hear from God where you have intimate moments with god um and I just needed to share I was like I know I need to share I need to share ha I need her tomorrow and I was just so convicted and convinced of why and so scripture came to mind we shall overcome by the blood of the lamb and the word of Our Testimony and we shine like there's this beautiful like power and weight in the salvation of Jesus Christ like come to you know I believe in Jesus Christ and you're saved and there's this salvation piece that's huge but then there's like this and and the and the word of Our Testimony piece and we can't miss that like and I've been reminded of that so many times this week um I am going through um um childhood trauma and getting through the other side like in a really beautiful way like um so I'm working through it and I feel like I'm almost past it and I'm starting to feel safe again and I'm kind of coming out of my shell as myself and who I am um and I got really hurt this week um I I went to what what I I thought was a safe place for me and it wasn't a safe place for me and I got really hurt cuz this boy I've been trying to take care of and walk out like came out and got hurt really quick and oh my gosh did it hurt and so um I was looking for a safe place right and I found like I found them and and I shared my story right like there this testimony piece of like oh my gosh this hurts I'm turning to Jesus I'm crying out to Jesus I'm not really hearing anything cuz all I feel is the hurt and um if you just you know you just ask him so like this is a true story all this happened truly this week for me so I'm out I we had a nice Texas hot Sunday I forget what it was like Wednesday or Thursday and I went outside to get some sun and there's this pastor in Alabama who like always has these good sermons just like he know he's a man of God following Christ and um I just like I wonder if he's got anything out new on his podcast that I follow and he did he had this sermon on [Music] love um about the love of God and what what the love of God looks like and what the love of God doesn't look like and all this and he had example of of his of him and his son and so true story he told me I can steal it his church gives permission of all this all the time so I'm stealing his story because it spoke to me this week as being unheard like didn't feel seen or heard or protected I got really hurt and I didn't know where to go and I was like God would you would you reveal yourself to me would you tell me you understand and so the story he's a pastor in this church and he gets the phone call hey your son just got in an accident his his nose is nearly off he's sliced his nose they're taking him to the ER and um right now so Dad's on the way right Dad gets the call heads to the ER and there is and um you know hysterical um and they're taking them into ER the mer your room and they try to stop dad and he like and he and he's like no no you don't understand I'm going in this room I'm going in like my boy like me you know and so okay it's you're knock going like this so he goes into the room with his boy and um hysterical but then he starts getting the drugs right the laughing gas and know and um and he's laughing he's laughing but his dad knows what's about to happen um they put him in this tourniquet I don't even know what it's called but they wrap him up so he can't move in his arms and then the doctor takes out the needle this huge needle and and Son's not laughing anymore and they begin to shoot needles all in his face and he and he can't really feel it but he's terrified and he's crying out and he's just daddy daddy daddy daddy and and daddy can't do [Music] nothing and like wrecked him right and so the procedure goes well Suns comes out of anesthesia he's on Happy glass and drugs and they're going home and kids laughing dad's are wreck in the front seat driving home and God spoke very clearly to him he's like you see Chris it's kind of what I felt like when I sent my son to die for your sin and pay for Humanity's mistakes it really hurt like you think he wanted to send this son on the cross absolutely not no very difficult very painful decision that a human went through and so it's like this safe place that I thought was safe was not safe I got really hurt in a human broken world found Freedom found joy in the morning of turning to a safer place that's always safe for me even if I don't feel safe to go to him and so your worship leader is singing out of a very broken place there's reconciliation that still needs to be had with me and my friend that hurt me really bad but we still have every reason I have every reason to worship I got another reason 10 minutes ago Ken you have no idea how much that comment meant to me it I felt seen I felt heard felt like I was making a difference I didn't this week people told me I thank you thank you for sharing your testimony you didn't need to do that so we're going to go into this last part of this song bridge I may be weak but your spirit is strong in me don't cut me off go sit down what are you [Music] doing all right that's fine father God I love this man he is uh he's my true friend he's my brother he's my partner in the gospel and I love him I love his heart I love how fiercely he loves you and I uh I'm so sorry I'm so sorry that your people could inflict wounds on a man with his heart please heal that broken place you told us that uh that this would happen you told us that the closer we draw to you and do what you tell us to do the the more people are going to push back and I'm so sorry for that father heal his heart heal his wounds but father father speak to the hearts and the Brokenness and the people who would inflict wounds like that help them help us all to remember that we're all broken to the Bone all of us and we're only whole in breathing because of your grace Spread Your Grace all over everybody involved in Christ's name amen Lord in heaven you know that I prayed for years for a worship leader for a man that stands up here who belongs here Lord and we're so grateful for Jonah and his transparency and he's truly an overcomer Lord we love you I pray for reconciliation I pray that everything that uh is uhe will come all out in clean and white as snow Lord and you can make that happen Lord again we're so grateful for Jonah and his leadership here thank you for his vulnerability we love you heal his heart your name we pray [Music] ameno all right let's sing out and worship and response sing out in faith and a human faith here we go cuz I may be weak but your spirit strong in me my flesh May Fail but my God you never will I may be weak your spirit strong in welcome to grab one of those too um at this time the children can go ahead and gather at the front foyer and the teachers can go ahead and lead them to their classrooms um I just want to say a quick prayer for our tithes and offerings loving and gracious father you teach us that giving is is a gift and it truly is a powerful form of love so I pray tonight that everyone who is here that you just fill their hearts with the willingness to give whatever their heart desires in Jesus name amen um at this time we're going to go ahead and pass the baskets um we do uh still have the red offering box where you can put your prayer request slips um that's going to be in the middle of your bulletin and then we do still have the various for forms of payment methods which are PayPal and cash app and then we still have the amazing dip jar at the back where you can give your credit and debit card before you leave um I know that Logan mentioned this and went over it we do still have Overcomer meetings which are tonight um after the after sorry after church and um also on W on Wednesdays at 7 o'clock and that's going to be in the fellowship hall so please come and join us for that um we do have youth group and that's going to be after church as well and that's at 6:45 and you can see Travis or Logan Massie and that is called first steps every last Saturday of the month we have birthday night so if you do have a birthday that you're celebrating one or more years in recovery you're more than welcome to let us know and all are welcome to celebrate those celebrants uh now if you do want to be of service on the first and third Satur Saturday of the month um we have Overcomers community outreach where we do help local families here in the colony and then on the second and fourth Saturday of the month a team of us go out to South Dallas to serve our Serenity family as well um of course you can show up any Saturday at 8:30 and you we can actually show you the way um here at Serenity Church we do need your help um every Saturday before at 2:00 setting up the church and then uh tearing it down so that we can have the church ready by tomorrow for our Methodist Family so please show up in fellowship with us as well uh the last thing that I do want to mention is going to be the walk to Emmas uh yes um it's going to be October 10th through the 13th and right now we do have 22 pilgrims we just need three more yes so it's G to be a great um walk to kind of um you know get get right with Jesus um you can see Trina on that and JN Chris all of them will show you the way uh we do have a video for you [Music] thanks so we need people to help us at 2:00 for church setup all that you see here all these curtains and everything that you see sitting around doesn't happen all by itself we need people to come and help us we're not asking for any kind of long-term hard commitment you don't even have to sign up for anything you don't even have to be qualified the only thing you need is to be willing everything else will show you there's nothing hard here it's not rocket science so if you're needing like some kind of training experience or something that will maybe even help you um kind of job training if you're needing help with that come and do that if you just need some time to get away and get out of your own head if you just want to come and hang out with right well I'm Lo I'm an overcomer and and what a blessing and an honor it is to to introduce Stefan and his wife CIA um you know when I first got hired at Life Fellowship uh my my good friend John was going to be overseeing me the guy that married us and um brought them brought the prison ministry into the place where I was at and um you know it was great you know in about three weeks in John takes another position and uh now I have I'm like man I got this this loud German guy I'm G to have to report to how's that going to go this wasn't in the plan but man what a blessing it turned out to be just just the way you love people and pour into people and the hard things that you do you do the hard things you do the you do the things that people talk about and uh you've done a really hard thing stepping out and starting your ministry um and it was it was such a blessing and and it was I just admire ired your courage and Faith doing that um honestly I really really did and I could stand up here and talk all night introducing you so talking about you but um I'm not going to take up any more of your time come on up here Stefan we love [Applause] you one two can you hear me okay thank you so much so I I want to give my the mic at first to my wife she has something to share for you hello you guys Hello friends are you doing here tonight I want to GRE you and say to you that you are the holy people of the Lord You Are Holy and children of sometimes we forget about this and um I like remind you that the Lord calls you holy not because of you or yourself or what you've done or because you're so amazing awesome no because of Jesus and what he has done for you that's why you are holy and you are his holy people and receive this and take it and adopt it and identify yourself with that I am a safe sinner but a holy person in the name of Jesus because of uh here in Worship the Lord reminded me of a a scripture in Exodus um and there was a situation where there was U Moses and uh you know he he uh took all of the Israelites out of Egypt the Lord did Miracles over miracle and then uh they ended up worshiping the Lord but then uh God Called Moses up to a mountain and said hey I want to give you uh some instructions some laws so he went up the mountain the people down the mountain they messed up they just went astray so Moses was so angry he just destroyed the Ten Commandments which he which he had on the stone T tablet and then uh Moses uh God had to call Moses up a second time to give him the commandments so and then um there was the scripture where it says where the Lord says the Lord the Lord God merciful and gracious longsuffering and abounding in goodness and Truth keeping Mercy for thousands forgiving iniquity and transgression and sin so here you see that the Lord is good the goodness of the Lord he is kind he is merciful he's gracious and do you also know that the Bible says that uh Moses was a friend of God do you know why because it says that they t talk face to face so God wants you to talk to him like face to face like talk to him just talk to him and let him allow him also to answer sometimes we just talk too much right and then you go in your prayer time and then you just poured out your heart and you talked and talked and talked and talk and then okay thank you God Amen let's go and then he's like hey wait come back I have to say something too can I speak can I say something so the Lord wants to talk to you the Lord speaks to you in his kindness in his grace in his mercy and I want you to remind remind you that the goodness of the Lord is with you that you are his holy people and I was here and I I was just so thankful standing here and feeling just the spirit in the room that how how good the Lord is to you how kind he was in your life and even when we mess up and even like the Israelites messing up over and over and over again they had Moses he prayed for them like there was one time a point where God said all right man those people I just can't with them they they will never change again okay so do you do you see your own life or do you see like people in your life the relationships that they have like our friend he talked about the disappointments in his friendship and relationships don't we don't we experience that all the time all the time where people disappoint where we are let down by people or were we let other people down were we disappoint so and the Israelites they had Moses in their life and God already he was done and said oh my gosh these people never change let just remove them come Moses I'm going to start over with you let's just do like a blank page like remove everything and start over just with you but I think the Lord really did it just to test Moses also to see how like what what is he going to do but Moses he prayed for the people he said no God how are the people believe that you are a good God if we do that how will they see that your kindness your goodness we're not going to do this so he protected the people I had people in my life that were like Moses praying for me and protecting me and saying no no we keep moving we keep moving on so but at the same time I want to be that person for other people be like Moses be like the Moses for another person they mess up they disappoint they they hurt other people or they just make wrong choices okay okay that happens but then pray for them and the Lord is going to be gracious and take them by the hand and carry them out and he did it he is so good the Lord is so good the Lord is good and he loves you the Lord is good believe this the Lord is good he is so good amen okay I'm going to give it over to my husband I don't know if he is going to in us us or no yeah yeah I you okay you can as well but turn on your mic is it on yeah okay so thank you for having us here we love to be here guys thank you for having us why is somebody called why is somebody called why is it that God called me why is this that God called you look not because you strong not because you're wise not even because of your past he called you because he loves you he's deeply in love with you and he called you because of himself self because he's in love with you why is it so important because sometimes we boast about our own strength or we can do what we know or maybe it's well about our bad past because God God can use us now because of him because he loves us so much and in our mess up he's merciful and loves us out our old life into a new one Kya and I we both founded a Ministry uh in the beginning of this year it's called Maranatha Ministry amen come Lord Jesus it's all from Matthew 24 where you find this and the kingdom the gospel of the kingdom of God will be preached to All Nations and then the end will come the end will come it's not with big destruction you know how I see that the end will come with a big celebration because our King is coming our Lord is coming and we preach the gospel you will preach the gospel and the end the celebration is coming I love this because it's not we're depressing think everything no we working on a celebration we working on a victory and that will come amen you are called because of his love to pray preach the gospel so we started this ministry some people think it's crazy sometimes I think by myself I'm crazy yeah I'm crazy in love with God that's all what it is so how can this be how what is this our ministry we preaching the gospel into the Nations our main SE seat where we are living as in Florida we traveling around the world one of the open doors and sometimes we don't understand this how this is is he opens a presence to US during this time I will speak lots of testimonies as well what we experience I want to share this with you you have a little bit of overview and see this and I only want to say in the beginning hey if God puts on your heart you want to know more you want to connect what do you want to donate please come in the end to me okay because I the rest you know I want to put it in the beginning that you know that you can come and yes we need support but look I want that right now here is a presence of God I want to work in this direction I want to have a celebration that God speaks to you if there's something that you want to support please come in the end I don't do any else if there's something for you please come in the end to us and we have something for you okay look what the scripture that jumped out to me what I want to share what I want to read and it is out from acts 8 starting at 26 God I thank you for the word of God what you gave to us God and I pray that we have open mind and More Than This an open heart to hear you speak speaking to us holy B Holy Spirit speak to us we are your servants we are your students God we want to listen to what you want to say to us God and I pray right now that our eyes and our ears are open to see and to hear you when we read your scripture in tell me about whom does this Prophet say s about himself or about somebody else then Philip spoke and beginning with the scripture he preached Jesus to him as they continued along the road they came level I believe God has a next level for you today and look so of we standing there and we have excuses come on why I'm not able to do it right now we have excuses why we cannot step into the purpose change it people maybe try to do but himself and didn't work when we went into the prison and we brought a former inmate who was standing there and was a testimony of a changed life everything was exploding how was this possible it is not possible how can be he he was sitting with me in a prison right now he looks the same from the face but he's a totally different person how can you have how can it be that he has a different future how can it be that he has a different life because of Jesus Christ and that is what your testimony is what my testimony is because he is able to change he is able to take our life and we can be born again and we can have a different future than what the devil attended for you he attended something bad for you and you walking in God's purpose and that was mindblowing for the people there you know one of the things is what I felt is so important that we understand it is because of Jesus Christ changed you look when we read the whole chapter of Ephesian we see that he comes so like let us read the verse beforehand for By His grace that you have been saved through faith and his but it is the gift of God it's not your works so that no one will boast or take credits in any way come on so he saved you from your past look you I think it's so important when we come here together and we know that we are Overcomers and we know we have a bad past and we are right now on a brand new pathway look God came and died on a cross for you because you were lost because of your sin not despised now because of your Brokenness he died look but he's not using you because of your Brokenness because sometimes we think and we put in there hey right now God will use me no no no no no he said because of his change amen because he did this and he changed you not because of your past not because of who he is and what he did in your life look it's important because sometimes people they have messed up past and walk in a new future they got hang up that because they had a back past that God will use them now because it always points back to your past you are called to point back to a future not to a past you are pointing back where you go you know from where you live but you're going and pointing to Jesus Christ and you know I'm only here because he himself loved me and changed me and that's the reason that I go in this direction amen it's important it's so important that we know this because the devil tries to trick us when we have a bad past because of this he's using you know because of his love and his gratefulness on this he takes us and I only know that he is good and I only know that he is using me because he changed me because of who he is not of who I am or not for what I was because of he look when you don't lose sight of him he will use you if you don't lose sight of him you stay free if you don't lose sight of him that's where you go in the right direction and you know interesting thing is even then we are not starting to be prideful because when we have his Viewpoint we know that we go humble come on come on this story in Acts start about this that the starts with us that the angel spoke to Phillip look I think it's so interesting when we look about his story we need to know as well when we start in the beginning of chapter 8 we reading that Phillip was one of the people who got scattered because of persecution okay because sometimes we think I want to be like Phillip and the angel comes to me mean I sitting here till the angel comes and then I go on a paway 10 years later you still sitting and there's no angel speaking and you D do nothing look he was already on the move because the Believers were scattered it's interesting because what I believe what I experienced in my life that when I ask God where do you want to have us what it is you know it is often for me that I'm not 100% sure I I want to tell you this really honest lots of things what I was leading in Ministry lots of things when we went into prison I was not 100% sure look I listen to God and I have peace in my heart or I have idea in my head that is how God speaks to me and usually I'm 80% sure it means 20% I can be wrong you know what I will all the time risk it because there's so many people they still stand still and they don't move till they are now 100% I better want to be somebody who risk it and we marked one day we will be wrong than sitting and do nothing and you know what the incredible thing is God Is Standing to his word look like for us as an example we knew that God wanted to lead us 80% sure what I told you to South Asia we had connection we went there when we booked the flight there we had a great opportunity to go to India and there was like a big church they invited us were already booked and we had a chance to preach there for hundreds maybe for some people and it's a man that's a opportunity and Kya and I we both talked about this and we didn't have peace said Kya if we want to fly we pretty soon have to book the flights and she said I still have no peace I said okay I'm as well don't really have peace but we have to book the flights how it is look I think a day later superintendent from Sri Lanka cordons the one who wasas all the SS of God churches in a nation of Sri Lanka and he asked us if we come to Sri Lanka i s for me my mindset is always hard you know when I say we do something we do this you know it's hard to change something that's me I'm stubborn you know I'm like I say I do this and I do this and how changings for me sometimes hard when I say something or plan something and on this thing I said okay Kya let us pray I got all bought together let us pray and we felt that is a place where God wants to to lead us we booked the flights we arrived there you know what happened they brought us to a prison there we were since a long years the first foreigners allowed to walk into a prison in Sri Lanka we preached the gospel and people gave their life to Christ look look the next thing is when they get when we ask them to give their life to Christ I didn't do the altar call I felt I should ask the local Pastor who is doing this you know you have to know when you go to Sri Lanka you are not allowed to convert people you know it's so funny because the whole scripture whole book backs us up you know we don't convert anyway right it's a holy spirit so I have a whole whole Bible backing up it's not my job it's him oh look so that they don't can count it even against this what we did I locked the local Pastor after preaching if he can come up and ask who wants to give the life to Christ people came to the front and we had a chance to pray with them and they accepted Jesus Christ as their lord and savior after this the official who sees the prison system in Sri Lanka asked us if we can meet him in his house a day later we drove there and I thought man I don't know what so I study a little bit what I can do I get the scripture how this is we came to his house and he said tell me what you have seen and I shared some statistics and talked with him about the love of God who is changing father's hearts and what he said is I want to open every prison in Sri Lanka for you and you have the the open that you can go into the pris look it's so interesting because we never planted you know what what I mean what I said beforeand is we got the phone call we prayed we were 80% sure you go there and then you see that God brings the things together you know when you go into the prison what you need to do you need to bring Bibles you know one day when we there in Sri Lanka we got the invitation to go on a mountain you drive with a car till a car cannot longer drive then you go on a Tuk to swe wheel and you drive till this will no longer Drive and then you go with a back deck hiking up on the mountain you meeting there with five families and you share and you pray with them and you know the house was the one who was responsible from The Gideons to dispute it for the whole country look I could not plant this and he said whatever prison you want to do do you tell me before I will make sure that you have the Bibles there look I could not plant this it's not possible God knews before and that's the reason that he opens the doors we went from there from the from there from the prison official when I said we went and met with the superintendent from Assemblies of God and he asked would you be willing to come and would you be willing to help us to establish a prison ministry for the S of God in Sri Lanka look we could not plant their open doors he gave us we were bothered by this how this I shared the testimony and then from Europe a connection to what I had as well I had no idea he heard about this and said look I want to do something with you guys I want to partner with you to impact the whole country of Sri Lanka holistically how we do this we going in five cities in in January or February next year we will go there in five cities we preaching the gospel but beforehand we go into churches and there we training on evangelism then we go to the next cities and return and doing their outreaches and doing prison outreaches in five different cities to impact the Nations look even this I could not put this together by my own mind to get this connection together it is God and I love this when you walk into this you pray and you get confirmation because that's what we need is hey I'm not 100% % sure let us pray together let us have confirmation that we can go in this direction I have scriptures for you there around the Bible and I want to read some some for you and I want that you have open heart to hear this because I believe this that often we can get so l in searching for one specific assignment that we miss all the god-given opport opportunities they are already around us just waiting for this one thing that's far away and you're missing what God already placed in front of you just looking there but each of you to the interest of one another Philippians 3 says forgetting what is behind your past look it's interesting as well your success forgetting what is behind means everything forgetting right moment and then I decided this you know whatever I chance I have I will do this I do this right now if somebody asked me and you know what somebody asked me and I stopped everybody okay listen to this I want to give you a testimony I started the first day started the second day the third day and that changed for me because I decided whenever I have this opportunity somebody ask me I will this he asked us and we are in obedience it's not because of our obedience but I believe it is important that we are obedience he is using us because what he did and what he changed in our life and my you're not 100% sure if you should speak to this person lay hands on them and pray for them come on hey you walking past a broken person on the street and you really ask God do you really want to stop me that I speak with him that I minister to a broken person you so if you right now show me that I give my extra jacket to this person when you speak audible to me I will give this to this person come back hey you do this all the time and I did this all the time on because we're only looking for excuses it's right in front of you what he placed you why because you're already called and you already assigned you already already on mission where does the mission field starts right there amen who is called you come on and we are on mission to do what God called us to do God I pray for us that you remove the scales what we have on our eyes scales what we have on our ears so that we see the broken heart in the front of us that we hear the cry from the people they cry for freedom God I ask you that you help us that we see the people that we see what you do around us God we want to be we want to be your servants to doing your work please open our eyes and I want to be obedient I choose to be obedient to your words come on Amen be open to learn from one another that's a big point be humble I don't know if you're married but if you believe it or not you can learn from your wife and if you're a wife you can learn from your husband crazy but it's how it is and you come here together and you look to your neighbor yeah you can learn because he puts Holy Spirit in you and in your neighbor and the Holy Spirit wants to speak through your partner to you if we are starting to obedient be obedient we can minister with the Holy Spirit to our partner and he is speaking through you to the other person because when you understand it's not about you it's all about him you understand that you can Minister and that you can receive Ministry from other person I don't know how philli looked pretty much sweaty pretty much stinky and the unic said I don't care how you look I don't care how you smell come with me and explain me the scripture okay let not the smell of the look cut us read this for you and want to explain this how Isaiah 53 speaks about this Jesus Christ in his birth his life and Ministry his substitutionary death was for me hard to understand that I to read it a ministering what you did to us how you ministered to me not to put yourself up there in humility humble served us think about this when Jesus knew and all the disciples were running away he said it suffering yet we considered him as punished by God we saw it is his own his own mistake that he's there that God was striking him but he was pierced for my transgression he was crushed for my iniquities the punishment that brought us [Music] peace was on him God I thank you so much for the peace that you gave me what we can have because of you and by his wounds I am healed by his wounds I heal physically mentally emotionally we are healed God I thank you for this you are amazing you took my guilt my shame you set me free and I be healed already done deal God I thank you that you saw my [Music] pain and you brought healing God I thank you that you tender my soul and you restore our soul we are all you and I we gone astray each of us has turned our own way and the Lord is laid on him the iniquities of us all he was was pressed Afflicted yet he did not open his mouth he was like a lamb to a Slaughter and his shape before he shared silent so he did not open his [Music] mouth by oppression and judgment he was taken away yet who of his generation protested for he was cut off to the land of the living for the transgression of my people he was punished he was assigned a grave
