Tawanda Chirewa's Thoughts on His Zimbabwe Debut

it was a bit of sweet um debut i' say Obviously the result wasn't anything we wanted or the staff wanted or the fans wanted but it was good to get out there represent my country and try and show them a little bit of what I can do um obviously I haven't played for a while so it was it was tough kind of making sure that I can show the fans what I can do and help the team but yeah it was good to be out there again it wasn't I'd say my my best performance obviously I've been off from a season um about two weeks and we've only been here for I'll say 5 days so um I'll say the fitness the sharpness wasn't as as it would be in season or i' expect in October and um when it comes to that time and them qualifiers but i' say I've definitely improved in time since Friday and um I can assure the the fans and the players and everyone that on Tuesday I have a much performance definitely I say the teammates our first time playing together so obviously it takes a while for teams to adust just at any level so us it was good that was able to create as many Chan as we did we created a lot of chances againsta we didn't put him away but on Tuesday we'll definitely put our chances away and try and get the result we need to get and um yeah the managers obviously honed in on us and watch the game over again and we know things did right and things did wrong and yeah we'll be ready for Tuesday against South Africa obviously people will say how they're the favorites and they've got a lot of a lot of good players done more the um afcon just been but people are can't forget that this is still Zimbabwe and we've got a lot of players playing in Europe and a lot of top players um so once if you get right on Tuesday they won't be to live with us but we've got to make sure that you work hard and show discipline and know that um hard doesn't beat T doesn't work hard so we got to do both sides of the game and make sure the manager and um yeah we'll get a result I'm I'm 100% confident in our team and with the players we have nothing is impossible
