2024 Little League World Series Miracle

[Applause] rley I got DJ of course Norton and Coach with me holy cow you three let's just start DJ with you you had the game tying hit with two outs bottom of the six and once again this team just will not quit what is it about this group DJ special about us like like when we're losing you get up you could hitting hitting lean you were sick yesterday couldn't even play left off the roster and you threw three two3 today to finish the game how are you feeling and how did you actually do it I'm so happy right now I was just trying to locate uh they only got the one run from the bun from getting walked and stuff so I just knew I had a do strikes coach four elimination games you had to get through you had to come back twice last night in that semi-final you had to come back today in this championship match what does it say about this group hey they don't stop they don't stop and I had to tell this kid he wasn't wasn't going to play yesterday and I told him to get healthy to have the game of his life today and what did he do shut the door have the game wi Lun Lan noron you also said in the Dugout going in to that extra innings you said hey look this is written in the books you had that right how did you know all of this how did you believe in this team so much so I was I was prayed over earlier earlier in the week he prayed over me and then he talked to my father later and he said it's already written it's already done it's going to happen so all we had to do is just believe and do everything that we were created to do we'll be built themselves to do we'll be practiced to do and here we are first time a team from Florida has ever won the Little League World Series what do you think about that lean uh honestly I don't think I've been able to let it set in right now but it feels so good what about you DJ first time for Florida how about that what are the people at home saying like you guys did you guys all you guys are the best you talked a lot about this being the summer of redemption you thought you should have been here last year you proved yourself to come back this year and what a what a finish that was when you think about what you've all had to get through what's going to stick with you the most with this group uh probably the time run I mean everyone in the Dugout was crying as soon as that happened and then we realized that we have to go back on the field what about you DJ like we we were hitting so then I was like it's not about me it's about my teammates and my team that's that's the perfect ending right there congratulations you guys well done Florida with its first Little League World Series title let's go yeah Julie thank you
