Phil a 2-n win on the road against peterb United what did you make of that it's a very accomplished away performance some of the lads you know we've uh stuck to the game plan from minute one right to the end and uh you know we set the lads before the game there's another test for us today team who's been in the playoffs couple of years always been at the top of this Division and um now can we come here and make a statement with a manner of our performance and and we've certainly done that it was a a strong disciplined performance um not just from the lads who started from the lads who came on off the bench as well and you know bits of quality in there as well certainly the first goal was a was a really really good one and we had other chances in the second half to go and kill the game off we couldn't take them but in in general apart from K Clark's left foot shot we're pretty much un troubled in that second period and that was down to to the work and the structure of the team Jack maritt opened the scoring against one of his former clubs he showed great composure in a number of occasions today didn't he yeah pleased with it with a goal um good move but you know you still need someone there to finish it off and um Jack a really good start of the Season he's you know settled a lot more at the club now he's moved into the area like I said and uh you know he's working really hard for the team and uh if that goals obviously we doing the world a good but you know Ole and Jack you know in recent weeks have have worked tirelessly for the side and and that gives you a great platform to go and win games of football talking about another player who's had a great start to the season Max obviously popped up with that second goal he seemed to have got into this habit of scoring goals ever since he got that first goal in the the AFL against Co Chester last season have you been impressed with his ability to pop up in those key moments listen everybody's got a contribute in terms of scoring throughout the season but you know we always knew Max had that in him because he's so athletic he's very difficult player to mark on on set plays he's a really really good finisher and um of course you know goal some set plays are really important and uh you know that was a great delivery from Tommy and a fantastic Ahad of for Max you mentioned about the quality of the host were you pleased with the defensive grit and determin again under spells of pressure to come through and make sure you got a clean sheet yeah I think General was pretty comfortable the way we cope with it and um you got to respect Peter but they got a really good side you know they showed that last year they went very close and we always respect any opposition but in particularly a team and and the club have' done so well like Darren and his staff have done uh but today it was all about you know a clear way and strategy what we needed to implement to get the result and and the lads have followed it to the letter it's obviously only the early stage of the season but is it pleasing as a manager when those opening first few games you've really picked up a good run from the off yeah I think first away win The Season's always good first goal away from home in the league uh getting that first win is important and I felt we carried on today from where we were at the end of last season as everyone knows we had a little period where results didn't go away away from home we we kind of adapted certain parts of our game and we've carried that on to this season the traveling supporters today didn't stop getting behind your side and were incredible throughout just how important is support like that on games like today yeah it makes a difference cuz there's a lot of tied legs out there it's hard work football is hard to get wins at this level or any level but particularly when you come against the top team which a kind of top end League one borderline Championship it's hard and the supporters urg The Lads on they they clapped every tackle they appreciated what they were seeing on the pitch and you know I'm so pleased that they've gone away happy tonight looking ahead for your side the next match you going be playing Darby day at The Stoke Kass games don't get much bigger than that do they yeah well listen this is pretty big today and and so is the B one I think every game's got an equal importance obviously we enjoyed going to shury last year um we had a terrific win in the cup and yeah we'll uh I went to see them last week against Bolton in the cup so we've got a good feel for what they're all about and uh yeah it' be a tough game but it's one we're looking forward to
