2024 Dollywood Harvest Festival Tour | Fall | Great Pumpkin Luminights

what is going on guys today we are at Dollywood we are one week one week today from the opening of Harvest Festival and Great Pumpkin lumins so we're going to take a tour around Dollywood checking out all the decorations for the daytime decorations now obviously we can't check out the nighttime decorations because well it's not night time yet that will start next Monday on September 9th here at Dollywood but today we are checking out all of the daytime decorations for Harvest Festival and Great Pumpkin luminates you guys ready let's go do this we are starting our day in Craftsman Valley right next to the chapel you see it right there this area here is hoot Al Hollow so let's take a little tour and they typically do a couple character meet and greets in this area uh especially ing Great Pumpkin luminat but as you can see they've got the pumpkins hanging already these are white pumpkins with stars there's some owl pumpkins right up there there's also some inside of this little seating area and then you've got the large owl pumpkin rice out here this guy is probably 15 to 20t tall somewhere in that neighborhood we'll walk over this way so we can get a little better [Music] look this area here is also in hudal Hollow it's a great little place to come get your picture made uh for a backdrop it's a little built-in backdrop with the Dollywood's Harvest Festival sign right there in the front moving on up the hill we are going up towards the Blazing Fury there are more pumpkins up this way you can see right over this is right before you get to the Lucky Seven mine some pumpkins here moving past the lucky set in mine this is the Great Pumpkin illuminat Arch there are two of these arches there's this one here and there is another one down near the mystery mine we get over that way we'll show that one to you bir there's the pumpkin guitar this one looks really good at night it lights up plays music very very cool the pumpkin quilts are out now these are just to the left of the Blazing Fury you can see the Blazing Fury right there and these are the pumpkin quilts again another one that looks amazing at night time if you're coming during the fall fesal make sure you come and your plan is to stay through dusk into the evening because uh the whole part changes once the sun goes down it lights up and everything looks really really different during the day you have Harvest Festival and at not you have great pumpkin Lumin Nots now this area here is circling up towards the Tennessee torado you can see all the hanging lots and the hanging owl pumpkins up there now this is one of my favorite parts to come to during the evening they turn these lights on they're purple they usually have uh smoke here in the area uh playing some creepy music it just sounds sounds cool it looks cool and it's a really good area to come check out during the uh grape pumpkin luminates portion of the Fall here at Dollywood as you can see there are a lot of those lots buddy Carl he's busy right now so we're going to leave him alone but he's here working kind of thought maybe we got up here towards the Tennessee tornado that we would see some fall uh prizes some of these games those are not out yet but they do have the giant spiderweb hanging on the Tennessee tornado [Music] moving past the Tennessee tornado on up towards the FireChaser Express you have the giant pumpkin spider with spider webs and little baby pumpkins Fighters hanging up here wants to go up by these little fellas are right outside the Eagles flight Outfitters which is the gift shop at the Wild Eagle I don't know if you guys make it out or not but right inside that window right there it's like the only scary pumpkin in the entire park and they've got him hidden behind glass keeping you safe it's actually two of them there kind of a reflection there so it's a little hard to make out but there is a second one there [Music] if you are not following me on Facebook come over and follow stuff too but that's on a whole lot with those just being honest with you at the Wild Eagle there's a giant Wild Eagle pumpkin sord to new Hots challenge The Horizon today you fly it's a large pumpkin large [Music] pumpkin I did fail to mention that it is Labor Day I broke my own rule came to the park on Labor Day but I had very very good reason which you guys will find out in the very next video we come out which will be on Monday this coming Monday next video comes out and you'll understand why I am here on Labor Day now just as you pass the Wild Eagle headed up towards the entrance of the FireChaser Express you will come across this lovely little fell the pumpkin that we have so lovingly entitled paint me like your French girl it's a fantastic pumpkin one of my favorite ones here in the park I'm liking these themed [Music] pumpkins I could be wrong and I probably am but I feel like this is new like I remember seeing some of these but I don't feel like we had these giant themed pumpkins last year for all the rides Maybe I'm Wrong like I said I probably am if I am somebody tell me but maybe I just overlooked them there's so much to look here look at here that sometimes I just Overlook stuff but I do like that up at splinters Trailside snacks they've got some pumpkins up top up there they got some nutty little squirrels good place to get your funnel caker right there now typically in the past this is where the pumpkin tree has been but the pumpkin tree will not be there this year mainly because it is under construction in this area this is where the new restaurant is going to go in find out more about that real soon real soon but yeah this is uh typically where the giant pumpkin was pumpkin tree was also where Harvey the uh Great Pumpkin sort of a mascot meet and greet area was up here as well that were moving down to the market square area so we'll show you that here in just a little bit this little area here is right across from that Construction Wall I was just showing you just a lot of pumpkins sunflower pumpkins that you can come up makes a great uh photograph good area to come get a picture really good spot to do that one of the big photo op areas here at Dollywood they got some owl pumpkins back behind [Music] them that's a place that everybody comes get their picture made at [Music] Dollywood now remember Harvest Festival kicks off September 9th which is this coming Monday this coming Monday also the day I'm putting out my next video like I said you guys make sure you check out that video um probably the most important video I have done to date and I mean that here are some more pumpkins over here a little scary guy there this is down right in front of the mystery M [Music] restrooms down entering Timber Canyon right at the mystery mine you have another Archway this one looks really good at night time too it's all lit up purple the bats pumpkin bats I feel like maybe a couple years ago they had like smoke machines here I believe they did away with those last year maybe they'll bring those back this year so great area to run some smoke if they possibly can maybe it interfered with the coaster or something not sure but they have that one there and then they also have one right here facing the other direction we walk right here so you guys can see it as well turn the camera around there you go the other Archway we're going to head up into Wildwood Grove towards Big Bear Mountain it's weird my least favorite coaster in this park is the mystery mine but during fall festival Halloween Great Pumpkin luminates it is the absolute best decorated coaster here by far by a million miles there is nothing else even close I'm going to stop and show you guys just a little bit of what it looks like as we're headed up so this is the mystery mine here you can see all the pumpkin goblins and ghouls hanging up there and then over here there are some bat pumpkin bats but at night when they get all the lights turned on this thing is amazing uh this is a great area to come if you want to get a picture of with all of this in the background come up here like you're going towards um the Wildwood Grove area there's a trash can right here you can stand next to this trash can and you can get yourself an amazing picture with the mystery mind in the background I promise you it's worth the little bitty walk to come right up here I promise I wouldn't lie to [Music] you all right we've made our way into Wildwood Grove another great photo op is the great pumpkin luminat pumpkin it is the largest pumpkin on property and it's up here in Wildwood Grove you guys can hear my shoes squeaking I apologize for that walk through some water these shoes squeak any time I get them wet this is the great pumpkin luminit pumpkin it's right next to the the uh Acorn Rod right across from till and harvest this is the great pumpkin luminat pumpkin it is a gigantic pumpkin again another amazing place to come get a picture now last year they didn't have this lit up like I had hoped so come get your picture in the daytime if you wait tonight it may not look as good we'll see once the festival kicks off if they've got some more Lighting on this but yeah this is a great place to come get your picture heading back towards Big Bear Mountain this is the furthest end of Big Bear Mountain right [Music] here you've got the great tree swing right past this little area where the great tree swing is and this the waterfall for Big Bear Mountain you have the sunflower pumpkins there's usually quite a bit of those out looks like they are heavy again this year which is nice you can see they've got them on this side they're also going to have them on this side as well actually they've already got some of them burning let's walk right over here so you can uh maybe you guys can see them the stalks are green and the tops are [Music] [Applause] [Music] [Applause] [Music] [Applause] [Music] yellow now like I said there are a lot of the sunflowers they just keep going all the way down to Black Bear Trail and the Little Creek right here over at blackbear Trail they've just got this one big pumpkin pretty sure these are new you guys let me know in the comments tell me if I'm right or wrong but I I swear I think these are new this is the only pumpkin here but it looks like they have put a pumpkin in for every ride or at least that's what they're working on not rid Big Bear Trail today don't try to talk me into it I'm not doing it over at frogs and fireflies they also have the big pumpkin with the name on it and they got some frog pumpkins everybody needs a picture with the Frog pumpkin and [Music] Firefly busy day here busy day again it's Labor Day so I fully expected it to be busy and I was right kind of the last day of summer really School in our area is already started a lot of schools are starting this [Music] week you Haven need some Dipping Dots Dipping Dots I want charge dipping dot to that little commercial I just did for that little jingle my wonderful singing If you guys didn't watch my uh Disneyland video I got I sang The Little Mermaid just for you guys hurts my heart if you didn't go watch it this is in front of Hidden Hollow I'm all right headed back to Big Bear Mountain now I don't see a pumpkin for the dragon fly oh nope I'm wrong they have one the gentleman there in the green shirt's kind of standing in front of it so we're going to go uh back to Big Bear Mountain check those decorations out first and we'll swing back through maybe maybe I can get to it then so they do have out quite a bit of decorations up at Big Bear Mountain a lot of uh a lot of pumpkins are out [Music] Big Bear Mountain Q is almost all the way out here so it's probably a 45 minute wait or so [Music] [Music] there's some more pumpkins here this is out in the extended queue area you got some bear trike [Applause] [Music] pumpkins we'll just walk on around the extended queue to see if there's anything else there is not [Music] here is that dragon flyer pumpkin we were talking about okay we are back down off of Wildwood Grove walking by the mystery mine again and again here is another one of those giant pumpkins the mystery mine pumpkin these look really good uh this is this is a great addition I'm like 99% sure now that they didn't do this last year I would Remembered at least one of them I remember big Big Bear Mountain one but I don't remember any of the other ones I think uh really good addition to the [Music] park this is towards the back end of the mystery mine or the end of the coaster furthest point of the coaster Maybe headed down towards Lumberjack [Music] lifts Lumberjack lifts is another area um or the drop Z the drop zone drop tower which is this Rod right here in front of me you can see the uh Jackal Lantern in face it's another good looking one during the uh Great Pumpkin luminat it looks really really good lit up we get around there I'll show you uh what I'm talking [Music] about there is drop line so not only do you have these funny little faces right here you've got some pumpkins down here got these trash can pumpkins up here and then there's whiskey barrel pumpkins at the top looks very very good at not all lit up and then moving on down in front of dropline is the dropline pumpkin this is also where the frogs are frogs are a highlight of the uh Harvest Festival and Great Pumpkin illuminat season they usually have fog machines going in this area and uh looks real looks kind of creepy and spooky but not too spooky just a little [Music] spooky now this area is directly in front of the Thunderhead restrooms and the Thunderhead itself and there are a lot of pumpkins right here a lot of pumpkins some happy guys some sad guys some scary guys a little spooky pumpkin [Music] there going to walk over to the Thunderhead and see if they have a giant Thunderhead pumpkin surely they do ah and they do here it [Music] is we are now making our way down towards the front of the park this tunnel will be all lit up during Great Pumpkin illuminat but wanted to show you guys this is the uh River pumpkins there's otter and fish beavers water all kinds of cool things on those pumpkins now another really cool area down here is going to be the graveyard the dancing graveyard the dancing pumpkins so we'll show you that when we get down here a little closer [Music] here is that graveyard we were talking about they've added more Pumpkins this year more ground pumpkins some Vines they usually have a disco ball I don't think they've got it up yet I'm sure it's coming but they usually have a disco ball out here and they'll have smoke machines going they'll be showing all kinds of crazy things going on right here be dance it's like a dance party except you know the pumpkins don't dance you want if you want to dance you're more than welcome to nobody's going to stop you might look at you funny but they're not going to stop you Harvest Festival in Great Pumpkin illuminates is my second favorite festival at Dollywood right behind Christmas and it's a close second it's my wife's favorite Festival she absolutely loves the Great Pumpkin illuminat and Harvest Festival and it's a really really close second for me uh what is your guys favorite Festival here let me know in the comments tell me and uh let's find out let's take a little poll and see what your favorite Festival is here at [Music] Dollywood this is a photo op always but they add the pumpkin guys to it during the fall and they have all these pumpkins on the walls [Music] here and this is the Second Great Pumpkin luminates Arch so I'm going to spin around we are almost back to the front of the park but before we get there we got the giant pumpkin butterfly wow looks fantastic looks like they may have ref fresh some of the pumpkins this year cuz that looks really really cool very vibrant the colors are real vibrant this year they're not Sun faded as much as they were I think I'm pretty sure they redid some of those now we are back to the front of the park but that does not mean the tour is over because we started the tour in cman Valley so now we got to go down show Street Main Street over to the train area show you guys all the other things that are here it looks like fall but it sure don't feel like fall I'm ready for those fall temperatures it is a warm Labor Day here at Dollywood warm very warm so from the front of the park if you come in and you hang right like most people do you're going to go right down show street right past the bakery which is right there and you're going to go under the leaf sky this is the fall leaf [Music] Sky it changes color I don't if you can see that on screen you probably can but it changes color from yellow all the way down orange into [Music] red as we head down the street here Main Street and or show Street you will see the giant pumpkin tree there in the distance this area here there will be should be should be lined with giant pumpkins they'll bring in for the festival typically this is where they end up in this area here and over there and there'll be some more on further down so where we're going to keep walking but this is the giant pumpkin tree you can even sing Oh pumpkin tree oh pumpkin tree that do have quite the same ring to it I know but there it is not going to lie I was hoping that uh they would have had some of the menus up for the Harvest Festival tasting pass but they do not not yet anyway but typically this area here is another area where they have the pumpkins the giant pumpkins I say giant pum they're like real pumpkins they're like 500 to 2,000 lb real pumpkins they've been Dollywood's been doing this for years they'll bring them in they'll put them in and uh they have these giant real pumpkins that you can come see all for yourself these boo that you see like this that are closed right now these are going to be either food booths or like this one here will be a uh craft booth believe this might be where they there's a gentleman that comes that makes uh games like little wooden board games and things like that this might be his Booth It's seems like it's generally in this vicinity there is another one of those booths as of this recording they have not put out the information for the tasting pass it will be coming out this week I suspect Wednesday is I think it'll come out on Wednesday I don't know that for sure but just a just a guess [Music] really now we are walking on over towards the train depot there's another food Booth right here as you can see no menu yet here's a couple more of the craft booths [Music] and I don't know what it is but this particular Booth it seems like every Festival has some of the best food I don't know why that is but it's the one over near dogs and ters don't know why but it seems like it always has the best [Music] food like I'm watching trick y'all hear [Music] that like I'm watching Sherk some days I feel like Sherk I half expected them to put some sort of fall decorations there that is the old tunnel uh during the summer celebration they did have some uh like streamer type things there and they still may maybe that's one of the things they're going to add late cuz most of the things that we've seen so far are things that uh been part of the festival before for except for the pumpkins with the names on them I'm sure they'll add something maybe for Great Pumpkin luminites or for the Harvest Festival itself walking over to the train depot and Iron Horse Pizza this is where all of your pumpkin people are in this [Music] area lot of pumpkin people so we're going to try to catch said pumpkin people like this guy here pumpkin people he's taking a little nap and all the ones I am showing you right now are currently on the train depot side we're going to go all the way down to the end of the train depot where it lets people off and we'll swing back up check the other side now this area here that you see this tent with the netting this will be a chainsaw uh carving guy makes uh actually I think it's females now I think about it I think last year it was a couple females that were doing this a couple ladies that they were making chainsaw art so they'll be right here in front of the train [Music] depot here's a little guy that two little guys Brian said looked like this one's a bully shaking the other one down I don't disagree this is the tones stage at the very very end of the walkway where you come off the train you've got some pumpkin people down here these little guys picking a little Blue Grass [Music] Band I believe this one over here is making a quilt [Music] a [Music] oh [Music] [Music] I hadn't seen any Great Pumpkin luminat merch yet and then and as I'm walking out it's saww some now I do believe these are probably some holdovers from last year they do not have a ton of stuff out long sleeved are $29.99 and short sleeve $24.99 we're going to walk through the Emporium on our way out see if they got any more this is what I'm looking forward to walking around up here in jeans and a hoodie sipping some coffee eating some cinnamon bread that's what I'm looking forward to I'm a cold weather person man I like the cold weather cool weather so time for this heat to go we got pumpkins out it's pumpkin SP season man let's go checking in at the Emporium and I do not see any fall merch so looks like we're were holding on to just what we got out there with that little stand until next week yep no fall merch away from the dog
