last night Dodgers took care of business boom swept the Mariners but we got a lot to talk about we also talk about Barnes being out too as well J making a case for himself that when ct3 comes back does J stay on the team in a pinch roll or you playing Outfield what's ct3 do so that's going to have to be addressed at some point we're going to talk about that also a big quote I want to talk about from 1888 what makes sense you'll understand it in a little bit but the first quote I want to come up with and come out of the box with today is a quote that my fellow commentator Mike Nelson had said uh yesterday during his show the his postgame show and it was this you got to love it when you hear Randy Newman's I love La three days is in a row after three straight wins by the boys in blue the Dodgers sweeping the Mariners that of course Mike Nelson Dodgers digest commentator on that one and I thought well I know a little something about that whole story and I might as well just go ahead and give you the the uh 411 on that scoop okay every time the Dodgers win a home game they always play Randy Newman's I love La okay when did that start a lot of people don't understand well some people may know that I used to be the Dodgers DJ the in-house Stadium DJ from what was it 2003 to about 2008 so I played all the music uh during the game and that's when we came out with it the mccort's own the team back in that day and we're like we needed a song and we knew that Boston had their song you know and we were like what did the Dodgers come up with and then I love La came out I think it was I want to say that's 2005 is when we did that 2005 that came out that was the instruction to me as a DJ that anytime the Dodgers won a game at home I was to fire off that song I love La so that's where that song came about Mike Nelson brought it up thought I would share the details on that now let's get into it wow injuries what's going on why is everybody injured well this brings me to another quote that I want to bring up Frederick Nish right German philosopher 18 88 you know what all Freddy said Freddy said what doesn't kill you makes you stronger yes it's been a song since then and all kinds of different stuff but the more the Dodgers battle and stuff like that I think it's keeping them sharp let's talk about Miggy row out what are you kidding me Brad J don't tell us bad news like that with migy ro being out uh I don't think it's that big not a big deal at all Roos was us he was originally scheduled to bat ninth in last night's win against the amers play shortstop uh he did not left hamstring was a little bulky according to Magic I haven't heard that bulky hamstring bulky I guess there's like a ball on it the club decided to sit him which translates in two recovery days uh there's no game of course Thursday so that's good there's no game tonight and expected not to be a serious injury so they plan to have him back in the lineup so kind of false information there it's okay take a deep breath everyone he's not going to play Thursday and probably will not play Friday but you can you can bet that migy row will be back in the lineup uh within you know by Saturday by Saturday migy row is back in the lineup all right more news about Glau and now we were thinking okay maybe misss two starts why he's out well the Dodgers were hopeful that Glon wouldn't need to miss more than the minimum 15 days he had yet to start throwing as of August 21st meaning since he hasn't thrown since even yesterday he hasn't been thrown his return is likely going to be longer remember I was a little suspicious about that thing I didn't really think that that was what Dave Roberts wasn't telling us all not that he's lying to us or anything like that but I just think there was more to the story on that and the fact that glass now is going to be out longer than expected that actually is not good we don't like to see him out at all it's not good but uh got another update for you and we're talking uh Yamamoto what's going on you almost forget he's on the team is Yamamoto still on the team what happened where's he at okay well Yamamoto thre his second simulated game he just did that yesterday working his way up to two innings so only two innings simulated game they plan to have him follow up with a three inning Sim game so simulate another game but this time go to three Innings and then they're going to send him on a rehab assignment after that so midt is a fair estimate is what we're being told right now fair to who okay not fair to Dodgers like to see that guy back in in the lineup and now with glass now being out for a little bit of time that kind of sucks okay but that also brings me to uh Walker bu all right now my fellow commentator Mike Nelson said jump ship on this guy he's not going to do it he's not been doing it all the way he's has he's made one quality start this year he's been giving up runs earned runs blah blah blah it's not looking good right right for Walker beer but he even thinks Walker thinks himself that he's just around that corner and I know everyone's like oh my gosh we've heard that before I've seen in the comments what are your comments should he be sent down to OKC especially with GL now being out longer Yamoto out I think we need him I think we start bu against another team that is not that good give a subpar team to give him another chance at it that's what I think that's just my opinion right there on that all right Barnes barnesy being out what about that well barnesy being out that kind that means a few different things for uh for the Dodgers okay barnesy being out means that another guy's got to come in right and who's that guy going to be fuchia I mean I don't even know if I'm saying his his name right uh it's a second stint with the Dodgers here this is funny like you see what this says it's his second stint with the Dodgers is it really a second stint yeah yeah he played he made his major league debut on July 31st a pin hit appearance against the Padres is his only a bat prior to being optioned back to Triple A the next day so how's that you come out they throw you in pinch you a game you hav't bat in the big leagues you don't do good and the next day you're out it's almost like what I I get one shot at this and I'm out how am I out that's not good all right well he is coming back and he's ready to play there's the record right there let's take a look at that record see let's see his stats look at those stats right there for Hunter 27 years old want it back I don't know when's he going to start with Barnes out you got to think he's got to relieve uh Will Smith at least one time he's got to come out and have so so will can get a break so obviously will is going to get Thursday off but will Hunter start on Friday will they put him in he's going to play at some point and he's going to have more than just that one at bat so I'm looking forward to uh seeing what that that dude can do all right one of the things you don't hear a lot of people covering the story right now Gavin Lux he's the story of the Dodgers as of right now and you look at his numbers so if you haven't been paying attention you're just like oh well you know 254 average 10 home runs 45 ribbies you know four stolen bases that's what you're looking at right there you yeah he's okay I mean mid twos that's good it's not about what he's done for the whole entire season it's what he's done in the last freaking 30 Games Gavin Lux in the last 30 games has gone 35 for 97 bats so 35 hits out of 97 bats uh seven home runs so keep this in mind seven home runs in 30 days that's that's a home run like every four days you're cracking went over the fence right 21 ribbies right now that's half of what he's done for the season just about and he's done that in the last 30 days so a huge huge huge much respect props whatever you want to call it to Gavin Lux and what he means to the Dodgers right now because that dude has been playing Tough All right so we think about the injuries let's not worry about the injuries what doesn't kill you is going to make you stronger I still feel that the battle the Dodgers have look they're four games in front of Arizona four games in front of the Padres so they're playing good ball and they're having a day off to rest looks good for the Dodgers so there were some naysayers that's saying and you know who you are I'm not even G to call you out by names okay but you know who you are saying that Padres Diamondbacks Dodges or toast right when when they were doing bad okay so look have faith in the blue because they're going to continue on and play their style of baseball remember without I said anything short of a World Series victory
