don't understand why but I'm I'm in the first class so you've gone straight from the the sort of business class well you haven't even touched the bit I'm going on which is obviously the economy and then you've gone straight from premium economy up to up to First oh yes I mean the Concord Club at herro Margaritas before we fly straight in full course meal this is why you're shipper isn't it you've got you've got free first class I'll be toughing it out in the in the coach at the back you've got to speculate to accumulate Sean you've got to actually get them points to be able to get them I don't know some some big thing like well it could be anything this is a bit this is English Centric this is it a band are getting back together I could miss that easy no problem really well anyway uh I thought you I thought you would have known because the similarities with the gager brothers I thought you could be the the long lost brother what similarity is there between me well I think I think you've got you've got the sort of the the the hair you I think it's more you're more Gaga than me you're more Gaga than me just because I'm more Northern than you that's that's that's probably what it is yeah that's probably what that give that's where the similarity end advantage that is where anyway uh enough about this this is all that Jordan Thompson vs Hubert Hurkacz myself and Sean core on our Instagram account okay that's all to come a lot of action to come on the channels that we have here but today is all about looking at the matches uh for the second round on Thursday uh on in in the US Open new in Vash meow and we got four matches today to discuss the first match we are going to discuss is a battle between two big servers hu hcash up against Jordan Thompson her cash has had a year full of injury problems he's minus 230 last year he was our man to go to every time we get a pick on her cash we cash this time around he hasn't really done it for us in 2024 but he's the favorite here at minus 230 against Jordan Thompson who is plus 180 the spread here is three and a half minus three and a half of her cash minus 1227 Jordan Thompson receiving the three and a half is even money and the total as you would expect with these two big big servers is 39 and A2 amazingly really when you consider them they've been around the game for a very very long time they've never ever met before so there's no head-to-head to go by if you look at the current form herh has gone through St in straight sets in the first round here Thompson also did that Thompson got beat by sinner uh he was injured in Cincinnati pulled out through injury and so did herh pulled out through injury against tierro in the quarterfinals so both of these players come here with a slight injury concern minus 230 herkes plus 180 comes through good first rounds um the injury concerns does put a little bit of a big question mark against both these players I think more with herh I think Thompson was just a I don't fancy slightly close to a major more than anything else urash had a bad injury at Wimbledon they initially said wasn't was going to rule him out for the rest of the year and and all of a sudden he's back within about a month I think we should probably talk about the conditions first before we discuss this match it is relevant to this match that we're about to talk about but um several other players are now saying this is really really slow um kind of doesn't I mean it doesn't look slow to me when I'm looking at the the matches on on TV it's not always the best place to tell but doesn't look that slow but lovic said it's slower than last year which was it was pretty slow last year and K manovich went further as he often does um he said the conditions here are desperate it's slow and difficult and he he's a he's a confirmed hater of the Wilson ball anyway he doesn't he doesn't like the Wilson Ball but he's gone as far as to say it's incredibly difficult now the stats are through for the first 56 main draw matches which is round one perhaps not always the best place to tell because you do get a few mismatches and stuff but 76% hold 71.4% first Ser points W that's that's pretty slow it's it's slower than that if if those stats stay the same which they probably won't throughout the tournament that's much well a fair bit slower than last year it it was quite slow last year that's quite that's quite amazing really because I'm I'm looking at uh the women's tournament here they're plays oh they that's regular Duty because that's where I've had a big position on sabalenka to win the tournament and and the clay CES are really struggling and the the big hitters the zaras they used regular Duty that that that's the difference thing so they yeah last year they used extra Duty for the first time to to make it the same as the men and the women complained about it and they've gone back to the the regular duty but the guys are using the extra Duty which is this the slow kind of more durable ball um some very peculiar stats coming out this it does I say it doesn't look that slow to me but you know the players are in a better position to say um only 0.16 tie breaks per set so far hardly any tiebreak the tour average is 0.19 I know it's only round one but even so and and I've noticed this yesterday in a couple of matches actually and the day before so many double faults I don't know what's going on because there's 0.37 double faults per game so many players are struggling um that's been some bad performances Felix o aliim was one that's an obvious one that was unfortunate for us we got the right working out on the wrong bet there didn't we um a dreadful performance from him but he lited with double faults that's a a huge amount 0.37 per game um so the stats are saying it's it's slower than even last year which I have to say it doesn't look like but and the other thing to bear in mind is that the time we're talking today it's going to be 3435 in in in a heat advisory in New York tomorrow when we're talking about these matches Thursday it's going to be a lot cooler as well so 23 to 24 de Centigrade which is about 73 74 Fahrenheit so quite a big drop off in the temperature as well and you would think that would make it a bit slower but yeah certainly worth mentioning because it's I don't know whether you what you've seen of the men's whether you've seen it doesn't look slow but these stats are saying that it's it's quite slow and the players are as well so looking at this match Thompson against her cash you wouldn't have thought slow would be ideal for for either guy really Thompson likes the grass um but it is quite liic also said it was bit lower bouncing as well a bit skiddy which I think will will be helpful for Thompson and not not so much for her cash he likes it to be a bit bouncier uh in general her cash big guy doesn't like stooping down to play short low balls um but what's interesting here is Thompson against big servers he won six of his last nine against the ones that I've got listed as big servers in my database he's beaten a py per card a couple of times Ric Anderson Isner Aela and going back further he's been also Carlovich and and cresy uh in Times Gone by if we look at the last 10 matches that he's played at Main level against the guys that I've got listed as big servers he's he's come out with a a service points WI a return points wi total of 101 so shouldn't have a problem with this matchup it's a firsttime matchup but very decent record indeed against big servers now if we look at the just the general stats 2024 main level away from clay um so every surface apart from Clay Thompson 103 in his service points one in return points one total her cash 104 so only a one point difference and yet one of these players is minus 230 and it's it's the same old story with her cash he's he's the classic serve dominated player wins only 33% of return points plays 0.36 tie breaks per Set uh hold serve 91% of the time but only breaks 14% of the time played a couple of tiebreaks in round one again didn't he against uh Tima skatov had to go to two tie breaks there I think he was a breakdown in one of them sets as well he's also not fully fit as I've said he's been wearing even on very very hot days which it has been so far in New York he's been wearing those black leggings which I wear when it's freezing when I'm playing paddling South End he's he's wearing him on a 32 degree day in in New York so he's obviously still got you know a problem with with his knee which as you would expect he had you know quite a bad injury so how to bet it the the obvious one is the overs over what is it 39 and a half is is the obvious overs that's the better went with in menich against Felix and got burned um if I have gone for menic on the plus games it would have been done and dusted after about half an hour but the way I'm going to do this is again something that I do quite often in these major over player games over 18 and a half player games for Thompson 1.76 minus 132 with bet Rivers you could also go set one overs um that's where I thought you would go yeah you could go with that I've not seen the odds of that actually just have a look set one overs plus over 10 and a half is plus 19 5 and over 12 and a half is plus 310 yeah possible it is a bit slow though that's that I don't like doing it when it's yeah but you're talking about two players here that really wouldn't they could make a slow quick you know exactly yeah you're right but I I prefer this this player games option but yeah for a big price if you want to bring in you want to take a big price punt on this game then yeah I wouldn't put anybody off that maybe over 10 and a half it's been very few tiebreaks so far as I said even with her well her cash has played a couple but hardly anybody else has yeah I think the obviously with the the first set as well they obviously they going to be keep it quite tight for set number one and if there's any injury kicks on for set two or set three you've already cashed and you know if you play the total over 39 and a half if someone wins the first set 76 the other person could if they're injured could suddenly fill the injury a little bit more and drop their levels so uh if you are going to play the overs 39 and a half does look a statistical bet I I I personally like the over 10 and a half at plus 195 and Shan giving another strategy over Thompson we're coming on this we're all coming at the same level here it's the same kind of thought process it's her cash being too sorry mate it's her cash being too short isn't it and trying to find a way to take advantage of that which is what I tried to do with Felix and menik but sometimes the underdog does too well and and that that's that's kind of annoying to say the least but yeah you know I don't always pick the right bets I think the working out is right most of the time um but picking the right bet at the end is you know there's a little bit of luck involved in there so yeah whatever whatever you want to do to to try and um Expos this price on herc yeah that is why there's 37 different markets available with red rivers to choose from you you don't have to have the I wish there was only like two or three that it' be easier I will uh there's a lot of markets in demand for tennis and a lot of people have the have the luxury of getting these bets and you see the angle we're going we're opposing herach set one overs set one Thompson whatever you want to do but uh you play how you want to play it you play a couple of little markets and try to get with her cash against her cash in whichever way you want to choose the next match as well sees another heavy favorite it's Sal Aldi who is up the the Matteo Arnaldi vs Roman Safiullin Italian player who's in good form up to 30 in the world rankings but he's up against a difficult opponent opponents in Roman saffin safing won their previous head-to-head only once in 2024 in Brisbane in probably what I was expect to be quite similar conditions here to New York it was 7664 to saffin on that occasion Ali would want it slow he's a heavy favor here atus 190 sa is plus 150 spread is three and a half and total is 38 and a half there has me money all day for saing and the plus 150 with bet Rivers currently is by far the best price in the land so if you are going to take safling you've got to move quick I'm guessing we're taking safling at plus 150 well we're taking safling yeah uh 7662 it was in Brisbane for um for saffin against araldi yeah it just looks a bad price when I saw this this morning initially when I kind of woke up and looked at these prices he was plus he was plus 17 5 saffin and you know sure I was dreaming at that point and then about an hour later that the price started to to contract looks a terrible price on onald as as you said saffin beat him in Brisbane at the start of this year and he was a 1.57 favorite that day saffin minus 175 now he's plus 150 priced up at plus 175 on the same surface all right it's by the look at things it's it's slower here than it than it was in in Brisbane but even so that's a that's a huge swing and safin won it's not like he lost you know he's won that match he's gone from 1.57 to basically plus one plus 157 more or less um I'm not sure what this loving for araldi is all about actually uh 2024 main level away from clay so the the quicker surfaces obviously hard and grass Arnold's got a better win rate but the stats are his General stats aren't aren't great uh service points one and return points one to of 99 and a service hold and break total of 100 saffin 103 on his service points one and return points one toll and 102 on his hold and break tail so quite some you know decent Advantage for saffin there the difference being the win rate Arnold's won 57% with those of his matches with those stats which suggests that he's been a little bit fortunate to win some of those matches um and saffin is the other way around he should have won more with those stats than he has only winning 43% so he's winning M sorry losing matches that he should win and Arnold is either way around um yeah it's just a terrible price I mean I don't entirely trust saffin the fact that the players are saying this is slower is is not great um but safing can hit through you know a decent pace a medium pace hardcore quick arnaldi very up and down you know he's some some weeks he's pretty good some some weeks he's just spraying errors left right and Center a good example of that being in umag when he played um Alexandra Müller wasn't it I was there uh awful display Muller you know didn't really have to do that much other than keep it in play and wait for raldi to miss so very up and down onal his stats aren't great at all they're certainly not good enough to make him minus 190 for for this match so safling I'm taking the plus one and a half sets on safling here I could I could see him making a mess of this he often does his his win rate tells you that 43% he should be winning more than that with the stats that he's got so a little bit of insurance here saffin plus one and a half sets at uh minus 128 bet Rivers yeah still minus 128 the price is available I do believe though by the time this drops that these prices will move because saffin has been heavily beted throughout the day uh he is now the currently the best price with bet Rivers at plus 150 and sha likes him as well I I like the money line saing as well I think you might want to be brave and take a little bit of a chance on sapping at plus 150 uh but move quick that's my advice for you because that safing price will go um make sure you keep uh subscribing to this only four matches here today for round two the conclusion of Alex De Minaur vs Otto Virtanen round two and it's Alex deino who's up against utto verine and uh he's a heavy favorite here I'm not quite sure whether you wouldn't want to be betting him with this sort of injury concern I didn't watch the match but Shan she clearly did in the first match against J but Alis deor is a heavy favorite as I said he's - 590 ver9 is plus 440 the spread here is 6 and a half Dior heavy favorite minus 130 and ver9 is plus 6 and a half at plus 102 the total is 33 1/2 at minus 120 for the over and the favorite I didn't watch the Dior match against you but on paper that's a big win for someone who's had a an injury concern but virgin KN come through qualification looking quite good well it was a pretty heavy favorite wasn't he di I did have that written down actually di or gear on as one to possibly talk about in in in the first round I was toying with the overs which did eventually come in but certainly didn't look like it in the first two sets uh decent performance from di Manor but as you say he's not played since since injured himself at the end of the R2 Feast match he had pull out against jovic didn't he um oh yeah it was the sorry sorry if you remember he made that gesture didn't he he'd won and he looked like he'd lost he looked like you know there was a major problem match point he pulled the the ligament yeah he did something I can't was so he so he hasn't hadn't played until the gear on Match um you know for a couple of months so you know he'll be he'll be happy enough with that but I do like veronin he's he's a really good player he's one of those players that it looks to me a little bit like Kamas plays his best tennis on on the biggest stage isn't he doesn't seem up for it week in week out which is which is a shame CU he's got some really good weapons I was really impressed with him his level at Wimbledon actually when I watched five sets of him against Tommy Paul and you know it was a really good match really good level from both big hitting from both Paul only just won that it wasn't much in it at all verton and actually won more second serve points that day he was super solid off the ground uh he's got very good pedigree ber and he was a former winner of the Orange Bowl one of the big big tournaments for juniors that a lot of Top Class players have won including federa um he's a winner of that he's plenty of power off the serve plenty of power off the ground strokes he he as I said he has struggled to replicate that Tommy Paul form a lot of the time on the main tour it just looks to me some of his results are awful and I've seen I saw him in qualifying I watched him play against uh Paul job in qualies uh he's beat some good players in quales beat Brody beat job beat pu uh beat halis in the first round you would have expected that to be a a big servant in Affair and it and it was he won 85% of his first serve points did did vert against halis only faced two break points although you would expect deor to be a much better returner on the day than than halis he's not the the greatest of returners halis uh he he's working with yand devit these days um veran who's coached a lot of a lot of Top Class players over over his many years in coaching very uh well regarded coach so everything's there for verton I think the game is there the the level is there the power is there I'm slightly suspect about maybe the mental side of things that that for me is is what's holding him back he doesn't seem to be wanted to go with the tour grind I mean he is only 23 you would expect that to improve in in recent time you know in in in the future uh but if you look at Deo what he's done at the US Open because of his style of play he's he's doing a lot of retrieving a lot of counter punching he often has to go longer than perhaps some other players would some players that can come in and and boss it with the first serve and big forehand and get out of there in straight sets he's only won seven of his 22 Main draw matches at the US Open in straight sets so only 32% of the time is he winning in straight sets at this tournament uh de Menor and obviously he's quite early well very early into his comeback from from injury at Wimbledon I just think verton I don't think verton will win but I think he'll push him closer than the odds suggest again player games is the market I like here verton to win over 15 and a half player games plus money you'll get for that plus 112 a bet Rivers I think this will be closer yeah plus 112 better way than playing the handicap which is over only 102 plus six and a half a veran to give Alex deor some problems in that match there theor heavy favorite of B Rivers uh can he find the form that got him through to the quarterfinals to Wi before that injury struck against aror Feast let's move on to our final match we are going to discuss it's tennis konakis who come Nuno Borges vs Thanasi Kokkinakis through a big win against Stephan oat we alluded to that on this show we didn't put him up on the money line but we said konakis plus one and a half sets was the BET here and he's now up against Nuno boures and uh noo boures is a very very tough opponent here konakis is minus 148 to win this match boures is plus 18 the spread is one and a half totals is 39 and a half uh cookan Aris doesn't seem to me to be the player that um is going to not celebrate that win he seems to be a guy who's going to be out and about and celebrating that win against C pass and uh I I always this is one of my best strategies and one of the most profitable strategies I've had over the years is when someone has such a big win when they play an opponent and come back to reality like konakis might have here uh I want to oppose him and especially if you look at boures here the last time they met or the only time they met was in 2024 in a phix challenger on the hard court and bour won 76 61 in the quarterfinals very very easy he's over 50 points places higher than him in the rankings karus has pretty much struggled all year bores has had one of the best years of his career and now after win against SAS he's minus 148 I don't I don't get it you don't want me to say I'm backing cocking Aris now do you I don't think you are I don't believe you are I think you think bz is the best bet of the day that's what I'm hoping you're right no I think he is the value on on the money line definitely um typically we went for plus one and a half sets with cocking cuz whenever I go plus one and a half sets they always win on the money line I don't know why I do it because they invariably they either get smoked out in straight sets or they win very is just a smaller wager on the money line as I actually I tell you what I did yesterday and I and I I had a bad day yesterday because I bet some women's but I won this game on this match yourself and will white who I think is a very very good tennis judge as well on the live show we do live show every day at 4:00 he gave [ __ ] and arist to win this match and gave the same bet as you he also said it might be worth a bet on their money line so I actually had a small bet on him to win on the money line I bet him on the your bet big bet and he also bet over the game so I got it I got it all back on this one match sometimes in a match like this do you think it's worth having a little bit on the money line as well yeah the reason I didn't I mean sometimes I will sometimes I'll have plus whatever and and plus had games or plus sets or whatever and then plus you know sorry and then just the money line yeah sometimes I will do that the reason I didn't with cockin KN is because he's he so many times he he loses matches that he should win like in the seven six in the in the deciding set I've seen him do it countless times and he is um not the best guy given the fact that he's got a big serve big forehand he's terrible at serving out matches and sets most of the time as it happened he wasn't yesterday against against sit pass but so often he is that match against cord being a prime example when he was a set and five to up 100 to one on in play managed to lose um that's the reason why I went plus one and off sets cuz I thought he's got such a stored history of losing these tight matches that that that's the sensible play but you know plenty of people would have gone on the on the money line we we still cashed I mean we're complaining about tiet we're not complaining I'm not complaining I'm just saying why I did it and it's it's you know it's a shorter price obviously that's that's the slightly annoying thing is it's obviously a much shorter price than than on the money line but the amount of times he loses in in final sets and final set tie breaks up that's why I went for that slight Insurance play but um I'm not sure about him here at all minus 148 after a very very tough match against sitz pass four hours couple of minutes short of four hours and he had the trainer out they both did actually but he had the trainer out for some work on his thigh uh sit pass I think was abdominals wasn't he had the trainer out numerous times but po sauntered through you know he was playing feder Rico corer um it was a breakdown I think in the second set but straight set you know not a problem for him I'll just see how long he played for actually what can't have been that long 1 hour 41 minutes compared to 4 hours for cockin Aris who has a very long and stored history of of injury problems throughout his whole career even if we take that to one side 2024 outdoor hard at Main level the stats both the same win rate 50% cockin Aris service points one and return points one total of 100 bz is on 101 service holding break total cocken AR is 97 boures 98 so boures is ahead on those stats look at what they've done in their last 10 matches each at hardcore Majors one of which of course is is cocking AR's home major in Australia uh cockin Aris service points one and return points one total 97 bz 102 so it's all looking pretty good for bz and as you said he also beat cocken arus at the Phoenix Challenger which is a slow heart I'd say it was slower than than here it's it's kind of Indian Wells sort of kind of slowish bit bouncy um not the same conditions but still a hardcore outdoor hardcore and he's he's won there 7661 a slight Underdog he was even money then so if the players are saying it's slow as well and the serbians that have have voiced their opinion um K manovic and lvic both saying it's slow then that wouldn't favor cocking Arcus either and now he's got that 4H hour match in his legs it just looks a bad price I think the the value there is is on the money line plus 118 I think it's a great bet he's he's also got a better record in under the year so far in hardcore across all Sur 181 win ratio for boures 1411 for konakis and konakis is a bit of a boy you know he he's not I know he's going to go back to the hotel early and and recuperating the gym he I think he might celebrate that win I'm not too he watches this show I know he does I know he does but I think they call him they called him cocky NIS for one reason because he's cocky but I I do think he's going to be a player who's going to be celebrating that much and bour I'm not saying he's going to be going wild or something like that but he's yeah I think bour I mean I don't think show this won't this won't be on likee one of the show courts when the outside courts and this is like you know come back from that win against cast to reality this is a this is a decent bet for me I think the days of maritt saffin going out and getting absolutely hammered before before an Australian Open final I think I think those days have probably gone those days bring back those days what great fun you know wish Mar SA I'd love to be talking about maritt saffin now cuz he was another one who hated playing certain types of player the little tricky ones uh rockus Springs to mind used to hate playing him um yeah I'm not sure I can't I can't imagine this day and age that you know social media and everything else I can't imagine that have been much celebrating going on no but he he will he he will be on a come down there's no doubt about it that after that we come down here yeah big match four hours beating a well sitas himself admitted that you know what we all know finally a bit of a bit of uh self uh what's the word um self-knowledge whatever you want to call it from sit pass finally he said well I'm not I'm not quite the player that I was a couple you what you don't say you know we've been saying that for quite a long time on this show haven't we um but for [ __ ] n's point of view you know sits a pass you Grands finalist top 10 or thereabouts player on a big Court he's knocked him off in 4 hours managed to hold the nerves it out you know yeah that that's that's a high that's a big old high now he's going to come out playing a guy who's much fresher in boures like you said on court 14 or whatever it's going to be on um and it's it's he's got those that that four hours in his legs and you know there's just no upside for me on this price I mean if cockus wins this match fair enough butus 148 is a no it's a Bad Bet for me I think that the plus 148 on boures will be hammered I don't think he plus 18 well Hamed I think he'll start a little bit lower there has been money for konakis in the last hour or so but I think the market will come back for Wares here obviously konakis B sit to pass konakis has got from Greek Heritage as well it's a big big match for him so that that's another incentive that he's played his FA Cup Final on certain degree and he he he's only one way when you play match he's not got a great record here I mean he's US Open record is neither is C pass his record here isn't great he's not a player known for back to back-to-back good performances at at Majors um so yeah there's just there's just no no upside for me on that price is that an official pick or is that I'm taking all of these today I like all of these good good um just give us a recap of what they are then if you we've got more Choice haven't we normally when we do this show on a Tuesday we've probably only got four matches to look at and they're not often the the best betting prospects uh so I'll only take you know maybe one or two or whatever but here these are the matches that I've chosen from a a wide range so yeah I like all of them obviously so uh first one was over 18 and a half player
