Love is Blind Reunion recap: Mature or Boring?

hi guys welcome back to my oh my God what is that what is that just kidding just kidding just kidding this is my new tarantula the name is Stevie they're ACH and Rose Hair they're going to be talking love is blind to the UK with this is my new tarantula but we actually do have to get into the episode cuz there's so much to discuss despite it being a little boring it was a little boring okay I'm going to put Stevie back but for real this time let's talk love is blind UK the reunion and with no distractions so I'm talking everything that stands out to me about this episode and just going to be honest it really there really that wasn't that much tea so I might miss a couple things if I miss anything please put it down in the comments but other than that let's get into my notes about it we see the sexy host thank you hello to Matt and is it Emily forgot uh Matt you are looking beautiful dear Lord that made us look good that man somebody said that he looks from Jake looks like Jake from the ultimatum don't disrespect Matt like that um some people thinks he he looks like uh Jesse whatever the heck that last it starts with a W Williams um I personally think he just kind of looks like sexy that man looks so good I just stop my little crush on him so we get into kind of like the corny do you take this um Netflix cast do you like the corniness of like the marriage we see that the stage is set up it's kind of weird that the friends and family are in the crowd I can't imagine being a cast member having my friends and family be there to talk about my destructive silly little habits especially if I'm a Sam e in that crowd anyway I like I kind of like it though that they were getting like input from friends and family I do kind of wish that we got a little bit more input from Freddy's sister I wish kind of ate Catherine up a little more but Beggars cannot be choosers I suppose so we see I kind of clock immediately that Ste uh Stephen and Sabrina are sitting separately I think like most people are like what the heck that was supposed to be our golden couple you guys are supposed to be boring having the best time potentially thinking about children after a year and we just see that they're just on opposite sides but it is kind of spicy um and I could not wait to hear of about them but we are first hearing from olly and Demi so Ollie and Demi we check in with them and everything is just kind of like you can tell that they' just kind of separated because they're just different people uh in the words of Demi he's a good guy but he's not my guy which I think it's just the most mature description she everybody kept it very demure just a little too maybe a little too demmery for me because it just was like what's the tea though like I I'll get into that later so all Ali and Demi they're like on good Pages we get into the drama of OE kind of calling everybody out being like you guys thought that I wasn't down for a girl like Demi but little do you know she might typ she might type for real in the real in the real world I only date girls look like that mean um which I kind of am like okay what does that mean does that strictly mean light skin does that strict does that is that like thick CU I feel like we're talking about thick but also I don't know what we're talking about like just what it also felt weird because it was like yeah you're telling us that and like I'm in that moment I fell for it I was like oh look at you calling us out cuz we thought that you were going to be more vapid but then you kind of told us that you were vapid a little bit more shallow so and then when it came to Catherine you told us how attractive she was and she was like a girl that you would go for so it's like what are we really saying um anyway I ain't D grass Allie does kind of olly and Demi kind of simultaneously call out uh Katherine for kind of the mean thing of Katherine being like I don't think that Ollie and dummy are really going to work because yeah let me not get myself in trouble let me not get myself in trouble triple trouble yall remember triple trouble what a time um so then Demi's kind of like you were not being a good friend to me by the way you just Tred to you essentially just tried to throw shade my way as if he wasn't going to be physically attracted to me why would you say that that's not a f friendly thing to say and it wasn't Katherine was showing mean girl Behavior she's a mean girl I think really to its core sometimes when mean girls get exposed you can't explain it with anything certainly not adoption certainly not as an adop grow up but when you're a mean girl sometimes that just that just is who you are and unless you actively work on it it's like whoops sometimes you just got to be like sorry I'm a mean girl I find things to be funny I'm vapid and um like to make fun of other people at my at their expense to make myself feel better about myself like that's just really what it was but of course you can't say that so she was just like uh uh s sorry I'm uncomfortable it felt very uncomfortable so it just is like this weird moment of tension between Catherine versus Al and Demi and the host are just like let's squash it then let's squash it let's this is going nowhere uh which I appreciate it cuz it's like yeah I know I do have other tea I would like to discuss such as Steven and Sabrina so um but we do get into the whole host calling out Charlotte in relation to ollie having a crush on her which then Charlotte essentially just kind of saying we're in a good spot you know we're cool it's nothing serious just a beautiful people just having beautiful little fun that's really what it felt like um so then we see tmy talking about her parents and about how she just wanted to feel closer to them how sweet was that very much very cute like can you I can't personally Rel like that's just so cute the whole crowd I feel like felt that love between them so then we see we get to Sabrina and Stephen oh my God so stevenh and Sabrina essentially things just weren't going well between them uh when they were first married it seemed as though they were long distance and long is a killer of a relationship if you just don't have the tools um and the plan to for Success like if you simply just are not used to being in a relationship where you need to advocate for Quality Time or like feeling loved and cared for you are not going to you're not going to thrive and Stephen was not the type to thrive cuz Sabrina kind of details to us that like communication was awful there was no consistency I did a lot more than he did and so then Stephen is kind of like what what it was kind of interesting to see because of all the people it just you didn't think it was going to you didn't think it was going to be them and so then when you know and it's crazy cuz it I was like thinking I think I've seen this thing before I think I've seen this before because I am projecting and I am generalizing but honestly I feel like a lot of girls have been this in this position where they want to do as much as they can to make the relationship work and the guy just doesn't do as much and then is making you feel like bad about the fact that you like trying your hardest to make things really work and but then it's still telling you that like he's just as committed but it's like as Sabrina said Sabrina visited seven times he only visited twice what and then he's like I don't even recognize who you are I don't even know who I'm talking to and she's like yeah cuz you haven't seen me for 8 months you haven't seen me we haven't talked which I do want to be fair in this moment I'm going to try to be fair to um Stephen it is so humble it is probably incredibly humbling to a level I don't even know it's probably incredibly humbling that he out loud admitted that his finances just were not he just was not um he could not afford to come visit her for Christmas and spend time with her family after she said like yeah basically you just said that you just didn't want to come see my family and whatever it happens they'll get over it the way that he kind of defended himself was like I was just a little too poor I was just too poor um like I even have admid I I even have I even have issues admitting to friends and family that like I don't I like have a little amount of money in my bank account for my husband and I but to be able to admit that to Netflix like multiple countries like everyone that is a little I will comend him on that but I do have to just go back to the fact that sa Sabrina said I don't think that you respect me I don't think you appreciate me I don't even think you considered me that is something I do feel like I feel like that came from a real place um there might be somebody on Steven's side being like that was kind of unfair but I mean at the end of the day they were not meant to be together I felt like the whole gratitude Journal thing was some something Stephen was making up maybe it was or wasn't but it's like this is just a classic case of that's what happens when the girl likes the guy more you know I don't I let me know your feelings in the comments about Steph and Sabrina cuz personally I'm really not that shook well no I'm Shook at it being them I thought that this like pattern was going to happen between someone else but I'm sh I'm shook it was them and Sabrina I feel like so many girls relate to her oh my goodness myself included oh my God even the fact that she was like I even paid for him to come up one time and see me I have done that I did that same exact thing in high school to this guy who we were best friends he was treating me like I was his girlfriend but like we were best friends I paid for him to come see me cuz he lived in Chicago I lived in a Chicago suburb I paid for his um train to get to come up and then I paid for us like going out cuz I just want to spend time with him and then I ended up embarrassing myself because it was just really embarrassing sorry so then we get after kind of that whole crazy thing they kind of just end off being like well that's uncomfortable and unfortunate let's go so then we kind of go on to the other couples although I will say the one thing that we did off end off on was that fact that stepen is like oh those are lies and then didn't proceed to debunk any of them so it's like what really was a lie was that caught out or what's going on here um like be for real be honest but the people who we don't definitely thought were going to be that position Jasmine and Bobby Jasmine and Bobby are fine they're having a beautiful time Marissa Jasmine's mom loves Bobby what are we doing here what is happening I really thought that was going to be a situation where it was like Marissa was going to yell out from the crowd and be like he's trash he's garbage he's uneducated and broke he poor you know what I mean I thought she was going to be like yelling from the crowd and then Jasmine was going to have to pull the baby reindeer thing and be like can't take me mom anywhere you know what I mean I thought it was going to be that level of embarrassment but they're doing they're coasting they're boring and that's fantastic for them I at the end of the day you know what I'm roing for everybody's happiness so it's really good that stepen and Sabrina at least had that experience of just like trying things out and then just realizing you you know Sabrina probably just deserves somebody who's going to meet her halfway for real yeah like the whole Bobby and Jasmine thing that's a shock the okay then we see Tom and Maria I will say I love Maria's family although I feel like I've been kind of battling with Maria's ideals versus uh Tom because I feel like a lot of people were really coming for Tom and being like how dare he say that at the very end of The Reunion where he was just talking about oh I don't want my my little son to feel like she has to pay for everything and then my daughters to blah blah blah I feel like Maria really put into perspective how disrespectful that was and I at this like the moment she was saying I was like that is actually really disrespectful like she he fully sat down with his she fully sat he fully sat down with her mom and then proceeded to be like I don't want her to be the way that she was the way that she was raised because it's like I I don't want my sons to blah blah it's like that's weird why can't you just talk about like the person at hand as opposed to you know like children and my future wife's role and my role it's like what I don't know especially because he had met the family like I just a little bit respectful put a little bit more respect on their name and it's uncomfortable the host catch up with them and they're like so how we feeling and she's kind of like nothing and he's like and then those just kind of like ah would you give another shot and she's like no and everyone just's kind of laughing about it just feels awkward feels awkward between them they're not meant to be together they figure that out there's no chance for rekindling you live and you learn and you just have like fundamental values and differences between each other and sometimes that can't be worked out and I am happy that they said no I think it's weird the way that kind of Tom went about it and I think it's probably a little bit more disrespectful than it needed to be but uh he got what he deserved when he was being um read by Maria basically I there's so little to comment on this this episode for real we got Ben and B benayah and Nicole B and Nicole there's kind of like they're not they're not like overtly awkward but they're a little awkward together you know what I mean they're a little we weird so Ben Nicole bayah opens up by saying Nicole looks beautiful doesn't she which is such it like very evidently was opening up to be like shade it was like yeah even her eyes are beautiful even her eyes not boring Brown it's like okay Ben you got the girl it's been a year like everybody hates Sam like you didn't have to do that but I get it I get it he actually is kind of like the type of partner that you do want because if anybody comes at you like if anybody were to come at me I would want my husband to be as like upset the way that bah was but it's also kind of like bah like you kind of look a little it's kind of embar like it's not a little embarrassing I don't know let me know how you feel about that so uh Baya and Nicole the thing is the whole thing about this reunion is like I want to know where these couples are right now now you know I feel like we got a lot of recapping as to what happened on the show but I like would like to know up to date are bah and nle although they're traveling to Ghana they're like doing their thing they're having Adventures what does Nicole feel about you know traveling are we doing it consistently are we like laying down roots for real um what's like long-term looking like I know that was like a like I wish the host would have been like I know that's one of your concerns in the PA is like him just kind of constantly moving what is that relationship like now what's the relationship of traveling you guys have together you know and to be like I don't I don't know I just kind of feel like I I I don't know much about their lives right now but I would love to and we did not get that in the reunion that much uh like they're having fun and they're boring so just let us know like is there any tea right now in their current relationships so then we have Freddy and Catherine no tea was really spilled about this and I really thought they were going to get into something I really thought Catherine was going to pop off or do something but they kind of just rehash everything that's been said and everybody has their little reactions to it and you know like Catherine's kind of skate trying to skate out of being like the little mean girl that she's played herself into um and then fredy's sister speaks out about how they're just like not you know about how on TV they looked really good but then it kind of was mismatched in person I just want more tea I want to know what did it look like when they tried what did it look like um being F like are they actually friends now cuz I feel like two beautiful people like that cannot just be friends I am so confused as to like the fact that they are calling each other friends but especially Katherine is like a little too the fact that she had has a history with him I don't feel like you guys could just be platonic now out of nowhere but maybe they are that's just it like I just need more answers I do but they kept it too Dem toy for my taste but at least they're being mature about it and they Pro probably nobody really um regrets what they're saying at the reunion because they kept it cute Sam comes out his like uh Sam the whole Sam thing I really didn't get much out of that I really didn't get much out of that kind of felt like it was weird cuz he is a villain I don't like him I never I mean I got a okay vibe in the beginning but then the end it's kind of like E I don't even want I don't even want to see him on my screen you know like I feel like he he's very much the type of guy that says all the right things in your face and then goes behind closed door and then says other things but that you can't really prove that he's a villain but he feels villainous so it's like I don't even want to see him on the Netflix stage if you
