2024 tax refund update in today's video we are tracking your delayed tax refunds in terms of where the IRS is in processing those delayed tax refunds we are also going to go over the stages of a tax return and of course we have the next direct deposit dat shared so make sure you stay tuned for that but first welcome back everyone so very happy to have you back for another IRS update in terms of individual tax returns form 1040 series the IRS is currently processing those receive July of 2024 and amended April of 2024 this does not include those that require correction form 1041 they are currently working on those receive original August of 20124 amended May of 2024 now in terms of your letters and notices they are currently working on your individual correspondents received May of 20124 we are in August so there is a delay with updating your additional information so make sure you keep that in mind now let's go over the different stages of a tax return which begins with you the taxpayer filing your taxes and you can review these charts at your convenience so so you can get a behind the scenes look of the process next the actual processing of your tax return in which the computer will alert the system if there are any issues notices will be generated as you can see from the flow chart and finally we have the exam stage if your tax return needs further review this is the flow of that tax return and that process so make sure you review this at your convenience it is very interesting to see the whole process of a tax return now if you're under review that process can take up to 120 days depending on if additional information is needed you can check the status of your amended tax return on the where is my amended return tool 3 weeks after filing it and the IRS may take up to 16 weeks to process and complete your amended refund here is the options if you're still waiting on your tax refund behind 120 days you can contact the taxpayer Advocate service through their website in terms of receiving assistance the taxpayer Advocate service is currently experiencing High volumes in terms of assistance so make sure to keep that in mind you can contact them at 18777774778 you can also schedule an inperson appointment to go speak with the IRS in terms of your delayed tax refund by calling 8445455640 you can call the IRS directly by calling 1 800 8291040 7:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m. local times and it stats call volumes are higher on Mondays and Tuesdays you can contact your local state representative to help you speed up the process as well by going to house.gov putting your zip code and find out who your state representative is now for the good news the next direct deposit date shared is 8:46 refund issued for August 14 2024 please share with us in the comments if you did receive a next Direct deposit date and don't forget to like comment share subscribe hit that notification Bell and come back for more 2024 tax refund updates and breaking news bye-bye
