we're doing Public Access again this is our third one and this is the Labor Day special which you know we just did commercials last week so mad clown was on a mad tear to get this segment going did not have to do it but did it and here we are so we've got a Labor Day special for Public Access some of you may be wondering Vinnie what is the deal with Labor Day well let me show you enjoy yourselves and uh before we go I think it's time we sing our our traditional Labor Day song as we leave you guys tonight sure that's right now we do this at every Grill party this is called Labor Day Labor Day oh Labor Day Labor Day cutting some watermelon on Labor Day and we're grilling some food on labor lab day and we're cooking some meat here on Labor Day and I'm catching squirrels and putting thought Dr Guido was like semi famous he might have been even like a little bit of a local celebrity where when someone sees me they're like Vinnie what are you doing at an anime convention I'm like I that thing and they tell you different things and it's all conflicting information so finally you're U you find out that that you don't know anything and there are a lot of abduction cases that are uh like for instance one guy got up too close to Flying Saucer and it burned a grid he got up next to a grid on the Flying Saucer and it burned the grid marks on his chest a lot of people have suffered like this for years apparently this dude had a show for decades and like it would go off the air and come back on the air that's what I'm gathering from what chat's saying I don't know how true that is but I believe a guy like this just had some latent desire to to just be crazy on television and this is the way you could do it if you were born in like the 50s or 60s and um when you're producing stuff like this I don't think you're expecting to become a superstar so you kind of have to imagine that this dude knew he was going to be Public Access man forever and probably also held down like a job and then this was his like enjoyment this is this was his hobby I would imagine if that's not the case I will tell you I knew a lot of people where that was the case they would come in and do some crazy shit it wouldn't make any goddamn sense they would go home they fed everybody everybody got dinner and then they would come back in a month or in a week with no chance of it going anywhere other than to just entertain 20 people or 30 people or whatever so I find that to be the most pure form of entertainment in a weird way and uh that wasn't always the case I mentioned this last time but I also knew people who thought Public Access was their ticket to greater things and tried really really really hard to um you know to turn their their stuff into a career like you know people that thought they were going to be late night hosts and replace Letterman that was definitely a thing that happened um this dude Ron swed who is the ghoul was born 1949 and he's got a whole wikip pedia page about this show so it did run from the 70s um it was it was running in the 70s apparently it ran in maybe the 80s and '90s as well I'm seeing here the ghoul returned in 1998 so yeah I mean this this show just kept coming back there was someone who called himself son of ghoul and got sued by the ghoul for infringing upon the ghoul's character but he lost the case the judge ruled that no infringement occurred as most horror show hosts portrayed the same basic character a ghoulish individual who pranced about in costume performed comedy routines and showed horror movies wow yeah I guess so um he did pass away so I'm hoping that we can honor what he brought to us for all these years um by showing you his finer moments like putting cheeseburgers under his armpit and P you know
