THEO WIDDRINGTON POST-MATCH: Oldham Athletic (H)

Theo a great win for the shots today what were your thoughts after that performance uh exactly what you said great win um off the back of a disappointment result on Tuesday where we were all sort of beating ourselves up a little bit cuz we the way we the way we lost the game on Tuesday in that manner that late on you know we wanted to bounce back and give the fans something to share about today and what way to do it in style wasn't it I mean you got on the score sheet yourself with your first shots goal from the from the spot at the end there that must have capped off a great performance yeah you know if we're being Ultra critical we we probably could have put a few more away and we'll be disappointed with the goal um but yeah it's a great three points great all four good goals and we move on to Monday you've had a very positive start to the season yourself speaking personally for a bit haven't you I mean two assists and they were cracking assists weren't they for your little flick s of one for for joshh Barrett and then that brilliant cross ball over to Ryan on Tuesday night so adding goals to your game is this a new field yeah I feel confident at the minute you know preseason went really well for me um I got a few goals in preseason which obviously adds to the confidence and when when we're in the final third I'd always than myself to help chip in with assists and goals you know it was obviously nice to get the first goal today um but yeah yeah and you've had cam come alongside you has that been a bit of a help cuz you guys obviously have played together in the past and you I guess you know each other's games don't you yeah know if anyone who plays with Cam any person on that pitch today or ever when they play with camon our groups you know that you've got endless legs endless energy endless tenacity um he works his socks off and it's honestly a joy to play next day year and with AJ injured and olle joining him in the treatment room you've taken on the captain's armad Skipper the side for a couple games now how's that been for you um no different really um I'd say I'm fairly I class myself as a leader anyway so uh you know it's it's just an arm band someone's got to do it so yeah no it must be a real privilege though obviously to be the captain of of a side even if it might just be on a temporary basis of course yeah to be able to lead the lads out is it's obviously a proud feeling um but you know take the results over being Captain any day team over personal yeah good attitude but know it was a great moment to have the celebrations at the end again with the fans it's great to have those back at the EB isn't it yeah I mean it's been a great atmosphere since since we walked in the door um as well away away from home on a cold Tuesday well not cold Tuesday a sticky hot Tuesday night but not the easiest place to get to brainery you know they they went all the way up there and Halifax was the same so yeah when the evb is rocking it's a it's a tough place for any team to come to tough on the legs isn't it when you've got another game in just two days but you know will will that game The Confidence from today's game help you guys through it a bit for sure like it's our job do you know what I mean it's it's obviously an unusual schedule to to do Saturday Monday but um everyone's got to do it um so yeah we'll prepare as as well as we can tomorrow and head down to town
