below now in today's video we're going to be kind of recapping week zero of course we're going to be talking about some of our players you know I think that all of us got to see over the weekend that are committed to our volunteers we also have to update our uh Vault commit breakdown and our big boards for 2025 and 2026 as always y'all please make sure to like And subscribe to the Channel all Commit Breakdown right so we'll be St off with our updated commit breakdown because of course fourstar quarterback on his con bny just committed to us on Friday and this is y'all's first time seeing this I'll just kind of break down what you're looking at we have all of our commits okay we're going to have 11 on offense and 13 on defense at this point for a total of 24 but we have them all split up by offense and defense obviously y'all can see each position group up under each position group group is going to be how many players are committed in that group and then next to it on the right is going to be what their average uh player rating is again according to on three up under offense and defense in the green is going to be the offense and defense's average player rating so now that that's out of the way right now we are sixth nationally we were fifth last week or uh you know before onas did commit and we're now fifth in the SEC and we were fourth last week now our overall class rating has gone up from a 91.9 5 to a 92 2.01 he and I were talking about this in the live stream on Friday did we go backwards because we added onus or you know was it something else well what actually happened is Auburn also got a commit on the same day that was rated higher than onus was and they were right behind us now we just basically flip spots so we still have a chance I think you know to kind of catch them but anyway take a look at the cornerback room we have four commits at this point um and we now have uh average rating of an 87.8 n and it was at a 87 .33 last week our defensive average rating went up from a 9.27 to a 9.38 so I think we're doing a really really nice job this class is coming together we'll probably only add a few more players at a you know a couple of different positions but let's take a look at our big board and 2025 Big Board the only change here is that Onis Conan bny did commit to our volunteers obviously on Friday he was our final expected commit but we do have three possible commits that we think will end up you know moving on over to the expected commits list at some point this season starting off at the top fourstar linebacker Ty Jackson we are anticipating that he will come up for the Alabama game um but the question really is will we take any more linebackers in this class I've told y'all I feel like we should do that you do not turn away good talent because you never know what's going to happen bring him on up if he wants to come to Tennessee and I would say continue to recruit him like you need him because you just never know the next player is going to be fourstar defensive lineman Andrew Maddox probably going to be playing defensive tackle that's a position that we could definitely add some more bodies to uh in this class and he is currently committed to om Miss but I think that he might be coming up for the Alabama game just like Ty Jackson also we have three star athlete de mois who is currently committed to USC hopefully we can get him up at some point this season I mean he lives in Tennessee so should be a pretty easy drive for him right shouldn't be crazy travel but we want for him to play running back I think he's a really good player we'll see what happens as time goes on now let's talk about our 2026 2026 Big Board Big Board y'all can see up at the top that says as of August the 16th and that's just because there is no real news it's not a whole lot for me to update y'all on with this board we've talked about everything okay so y'all have been like way ahead of the curve with this class and you know still very early on in this process things will kind of start to trickle out here shortly I would say probably over the next couple of weeks or so definitely within the next month to month and a half we should have several updates but I want to talk about one player that I feel like we will be adding to this board officially very soon and that is fourstar defensive lineman Duce Geralds from Collinsville High School here in Georgia that's the same high school that Ethan Davis went to and also Travis Hunter whenever you talk about dece is ceiling okay you know anywhere on that defensive line I think he could play in but him playing at defensive tackle his ceiling is going to be crazy but I think that it's very close to like a Travis Hunter he can be special like that up front he's a player that I feel like we definitely want to add without question and if you look at how our roster could potentially kind of shape up in 2027 I know that several years away but once you kind of like look at that adding a guy on the interior okay that is a stud and I I really feel like there's a few other guys that will be playing on the interior uh that are just going to be absolutely monstrous but adding him uh you know I feel like he come in as a true freshman and ball out he actually broke Collins Hills alltime sack record with 28 and a half that's not easy to do in Georgia's highest classification um but yeah he's one that I am absolutely sure that the staff is going to be talking to a whole lot he's going to be one of the top prior 4 in the 2026 class because defensive tackle is a position of need I think we might need defensive tackle bodies more than any other position on this entire team and his head coach was my best friend growing up and he's a huge Tennessee fan now that's not to say that he's going to tell dudes to come to Tennessee but it does not hurt trust me when I tell you that so we'll keep a close eye out on him throughout the entire process all right How Vol Commits Played now let's talk about how some of our commits performed over the weekend I'll only be touching on the players that I actually got to watch play starting off with Doug uu we already knew that he was a five star caliber player and we talked about it in his film breakdown that was all from one game now we could have made a whole new film Breakdown off of the game yesterday he's a star he's a stud he dominates on every single play playing at right tackle I mean I don't know if he lost a single rep and he's not just you know winning he is dominating so he's a guy that I feel like could come in and start as a true freshman at one of those guard positions maybe even ATT tackle I mean he's just that good obviously his ceiling is going to be higher at guard but he should be a Five Star Plus just like David Sanders and all that means with on three is they are rated as a five star on every single you know major site and I don't remember what sites don't have Doug U as a fstar on three is one of them but if they don't upgrade him to a fivestar before the end of this cycle they've lost all credibility in my opinion he is an absolute no-brainer five-star offensive lineman now the next players that I want to talk about are Tyler Redmond and Dylan Lewis they play for Milton and they played up against one of those South Florida teams as well um I think that they both played really well you know we know that Dylan Lewis is a good player he's got good length that's something that just kind of stood out to me looks like he's gotten a little bit longer he has really long arms um you know looks good in coverage as well but I feel like Tyler Redmond really stole the show we've talked about him so many times that he's a guy that I mean it's pretty much laughable that he is the lowest rated player in this class he's not you know again we take all those ratings with The Grandin of salt but he definitely should not be the lowest rated player in this entire class he is going to be really really good and know I'm happy that people got to see him go out there in ball he looks good com coming up making tackles um you know now I do think that he's going to have do a little bit better job in some situations with the way that he is tackling that's something that we can you know kind of train him out of but I mean in pass coverage he's looked good he's got really great length so yeah I mean he's a player that we heard you know I heard at least one of those analysts talking about uh you know from ESPN that man we're going to have to come back and he probably needs to be moved up in our uh in our in our player ratings and I mean we've said that for the longest expect for him I would say it's almost like a 98% chance that he will be bumped up to a fourar he might actually end up being our highest rated of quarterback in this class um you can almost take that to the bank but yeah Tyler Redmond is a very very good player so proud of him the next one's going to be Travis Smith and uh he played up against Doug high school and they've got a fourstar quarterback committed to ug that he absolutely torched if Travis Smith continues to play the way that he has for the first couple of games of this season he's another one that's going to move up in those ratings he should be a fstar uh I would say uh you know at least with on three which is what we go by but yeah I mean he's looking really really good he's looking very dominant he's able to make plays after the catch that's what stood out to me now the next player is going to be Maran D didn't get to see too much of him but I did notice in a couple of goal line situations he's playing at defensive tackle and he looks a little bit bigger okay I told y'all I feel like he could play defensive tackle I I feel like he could play anywhere on the entire defensive line at a really really high level but yeah it was just good to see him out there being dominant he's another one that I feel like could maybe move up to be a five-star player you know I've heard Charles power Raven about him you know he talked about yeah he might take a bump up so several players already that we feel like could get moved up and that will help our overall class uh you know rating and ranking for y'all stargazers now the last player that I want to talk about today is going to be GMAC okay playing uh you know playing a big time rivalry game versus CPA that's my cousin's Alma Mar shout out to you Tony uh but yeah you know I think that he I think that he um played pretty decent right like you can tell what coach Hyo sees in him because he's got all of the traits that you want to operate in this offense and that's part of the problem is that I mean he's playing in an offense that doesn't really suit his skill set anyway I think that he showed that he can make the throws showed that he has really good pocket presents he can move around he can make plays told y'all he's a gunslinger um but it's just kind of hard I mean you know there was a couple things that he did not do well right he is missing on some throws that he should be hitting on I saw that happen several times um and he is kind of forcing the ball into some tired of coverage obviously he's just trying to make some plays for his team um you know he was late on one out pass you that that should have been a pick six kind of you know towards the end of that game so done all that just to say I think that his ceiling is still five stars but I can definitely understand why he's taking a bump down in the ratings with some of these sites okay like I know I was very harsh on some of these guys especially Charles power um but I now understand why he's moving back okay so he can move back forward I would just love to see his offensive coordinator I mean it's you don't even have to necessarily change um you you know like your whole scheme just kind of changed how you're calling plays it's it's um I mean it's very old school high schooles it can't be run run pass right I mean you've got to do better than that now I will also say this it looks like his offensive line has gotten better compared to last season I don't know if it's the same because I might have watched maybe like one full game of his uh last year and in that game I mean GMAC was running for his life at least he had time I think he had plenty of time on most of those plays is never going to be perfect right I mean these are high school offensive lines you never expect to have you know 3 four seconds back there but actually GMAC had that on some of the throws that he missed so I you know I just want to see him maybe you know honing on some of the uh you know small details you know small fundamentals of playing quarterback and just don't miss those easy throws okay if he can just hit on those easy ones then I feel like he can still move up in the ratings he's just going to have to do that on a consistent basis you can't be throwing interceptions and stuff or even coming close to that in key situations towards the end of the game but those are my thoughts on all of our players y'all let me know y'all's down in the comment section now for the last Week 0 Review segment of the day I'm going to give youall my takeaways from week zero of college football starting off with SMU versus Nevada SMU wins this one in a thriller 29- 24 now you know we'll start off with SMU first people have been saying that they could potentially be a dark horse for the playoffs I don't see that I just didn't see any dominance anywhere on offense defense special teams uh you know they were able to win this game I feel like you know really Nevada looked like the better team the whole game they just kind of gave it away towards the end but there's a couple of takeaways for me just talking about SMU uh you know with their offense it's too much feast or famine for me I could see them you know maybe upsetting a team or two but I could also see them losing to a team that they have no business losing to the quarterbacks Force the ball into coverage all the time I think that they've got a pretty decent Run game you know their offensive line looked decent um you know again there was just nothing that was dominant in my opinion also seeing some of their players especially you know some of their higher caliber or you know higher rated players get into some personal battles fights things like that you have to question what's the uh you know culture like inside of that locker room I just don't see them again as a Darkhorse playoff team uh but you know we will see it's just their first game so you don't want to take too much away from it but um right now I don't see it they're going to definitely make some changes if that's the sort of a season that they want to have but you know they did win the first one so they still have a chance to make it to the playoffs you just never know now talking about Nevada um you know I hadn't heard anything at all about them but I know that they were a huge Underdog in this game and just to simple fact that it was as close as it was um you know I think that that speaks to what's going on with their coaching staff I think they have a whole new uh you know staff and I think that that shows but they looked good you know I was impressed with several things that they did you know I could see where the offensive line showed up some dominance versus SMU uh defensive line was able to show some as well I think they've got a good scheme um that works more I you know I would say that it's not as much of a feast of famine as SMU is you know like for for me just watching them play it's like man look we're going pretty much vert vert vert we're throwing it up for Dam grabs whether they going to make the play or not I mean like that's not how you want to live but I saw some things inside of uh you know inside of Nevada scheme that made me think okay they're they're actually kind of you know working some stuff in here you can see why they ran this play you know in the last series that kind of set this up so I like that from them I would say watch out for them not as a uh you know playoff Darkhorse team but watch out for them to maybe upset a team or two this season now let's talk about the big one okay Georgia versus Florida State man Georgia Tech getting that upset is huge obviously y'all know that I cheer for Georgia Tech because Georgia hates him and typically when Georgia Tech is good that means that George is not doing as well and it's it's funny man it's because I'm watching social media everyone's just kind of clowning Florida State saying how they suck they suck I don't think that that's the case I think Florida state is a good team I just think that Georgia Tech is a better team I think that they are for real you got to watch them okay as a uh you know potential playoff team coming out of the ACC I can see them winning the whole dog on thing and yes they don't have a ton of talent by any means I can just tell you this went up to a s on seven at Georgia Tech with Buford and Georgia T players were out there you know running doing things like that but buford's players okay buford's team is bigger than Georgia Tech teammates that should tell you something right you know of course Buford is a big team but even still they're a high school team Georgia Tech is playing Power four football but obviously you know y'all could see that in the game yesterday versus Florida State Florida State just looked way bigger than Georgia te but this goes to show why coaching is so important so I think that the way that Georgia Tech was able to dominate both lines of scrimmage shows you why they can you know shows you why they are for real I think they could win any game on their schedule this season I love the way that they set plays up the play calling was Immaculate okay that is how a game is supposed to look whenever you've got a really good coaching staff I think the Georgia take play with the ton of passion you know I think that they were able to get after that quarterback I mean listen they're winning one-on-one battles on the edge uh you know on the inside things like that linebackers flowing doing a good job in their run fits uh you know secondary coming up making really good tackles they look good in pass coverage as well so I think that Georgia Tech Is For Real let's stop clowning Florida State so much especially some of y'all uh you know fans of programs that has to play Georgia Tech coming up here very shortly because y'all are about to be on the other side of that Georgia Tech looks really good in my opinion now just talking about Florida State um I didn't like the play calling for them uh you know obviously in that first series it looked really good they came out they were dominant whatever Georgia te did to adjust to Florida State's game plan I mean listen y'all I love I love I love to see coaches who understand football who understand how to coach so again very proud of Georgia te but anyway Florida State you know I didn't like their play calling for the you know after the first quarter of the game they just got real tight you know what I'm saying I don't know if they just don't trust dju to throw the ball down the field or to make some plays or what but it looked like he was making some you know down that home stretch like towards the end of the game once the Playbook opened up a little bit more I felt like he was capable you know he was kind of like extending plays and going on the run and hitting people things like that you know they it was one drive where they got backto back uh fourth down conversions from dju finding the you know right person and again just extending the plays being a playmaker so I think that he's capable from that perspective but the tighter that that game got I felt like the tighter Norville got and you know as a result of that the entire team got tighter so I would say it's more of an indictment on the staff you know starting off with Coach Norville but really it all comes down to what did you do up front where the offensive line got whipped so if your offensive line is getting whipped then I mean no one's going to have any success right I mean it doesn't matter what you call it doesn't matter how good the quarterback is you cannot win games especially tight ones if your offensive line can't block and Florida State's offensive line which is supposed to be one of the best in the country did not look like it uh on Saturday now talking about Florida State's defense okay because I talked about them some last season I said well they've got a whole bunch of talent but they just looked so undisciplined um they do have a new defensive coordinator I believe they look a little bit more disciplined but they aren't playing as fast like they're not playing with as much passion maybe it's too much processing from the from the players or I don't know what it is but that's something that's something that they do need to get figured out you know they're uh they're dine was supposed to be the best starting unit in the entire country that's what somebody said but they're wrong because we have that right like y'all will see y'all y'all gonna see as the season wears on people are going to be talking about Tennessee's defensive line a whole lot and our offensive line because both of our two units are very solid they're very strong but the whole point is um you know I just think that Florida state has some things that they need to get figured out now they could still make it to the playoffs they just got to get that ship wred really really quickly and do you want to make a change at quarterback if that's going to ignite your locker room then yeah that's what you need to do you need to do whatever it takes you know if if you're coach Norville that's what you need to be looking you say hey look I'm going to do whatever it takes for us to win um I think he just got like a 10-year contract extension or something uh you I don't know I don't I don't know how long it is or nothing like that but either way I think that if he has another mediocre season um you know this year and then you know his seat's going to be really hot in the following year I think the Florida state will find a way to get his butt on up out of there so he better be trying to find a way to win every single game from this point forward because Florida State ain't going to stand for just being mediocre for too much
