everybody lovue everybody lovue come on down the div barue when you [Music] want welcome to David barbecue I'm Chris shindle general manager and Pit Master here at Davids and I'd like to take you guys a little behind the scenes and show you some of our cooking procedures and the way we do things come on in so let's go check things out behind the scenes edit it a lot of barbecue restaurants claim to be real Pit Barbecue we are real Pit Barbecue in order to be a real Pit Barbecue you must use wood you got to burn with wood dear Davids this is a weak supply of wood our fire never goes out this is what we cook off our barbecue hardwood primarily Oak sometimes Hickory but Oak is what we use what we prefer to use hey ask your Pit Master at other places let me see your wood let's go see what real Pit Barbecue is all about let's go check out the pit all right this is our pit this is where the magic happens this is where we do real authentic barbecue take things out these right here are our pork hams we could these generally for 30 hours slow cooking for 30 hours to ensure the most tender pork um we got chicken in here chicken generally takes 3 to 4 hours to cook our ribs they generally take 4 to 6 hours to cook everything's cooked Slow and Low our average temperature runs about 200° in here here David's Barbecue we supp spare ribs did a medus cut the best thing to use when cooked right they're just as good as any baby bag these have been cooking for the last 5 hours these are round time good to go I'm going to pull out one of these slabs you can tell when they're ready when the Bones start coming out just like this fold it in half look at these bones I can literally get in there just pull this apart how T of these are you want to see nice rack you want to see a real nice rack not only do we do ribs we do chicken chicken quarters we got white meat super tender juicy just comes apart Some people prefer white meat Some people prefer dark meat dark meat is juice and tender and juicy as the white meat look at that it's been cooking for the last 4 hours seen the ribs seen the chicken let's check out the beef we use eye of the round beef very good cut of beef this be cuts for about 4 [Music] hours this be's been slow smoking it's got a little bit more ways to go check it out it's nice it's good we got a nice Smoke Ring developing here and nice outer crust developing on the outside this stuff is real good most people that come to David's they prefer the pork s more fork and anything else these are our Bon and hams just like I said these these cook for 30 hours Slow and Low let me show you what we do here it's falling apart you know it's done when you can pull the bone out just like that this is your pork sandwich notice I can pull it apart with my fingers we don't even really have to run a knife through there chop it up get it ready to serve put it on your plate season it up all you have to do is pick out your two side orders and get ready to eat ready now that the camera Hog's out the picture let me show you a real b c fresh sliced cooked turkey this turkey takes about 46 hours to cook I'll go ahead and tell you what it looks like in the middle here's some fresh cooked turkey cut it right down the middle check if it's done beautiful white all the way through and ni and Juice ready the cook thanks for coming and checking things out hopefully I made you a little bit hungry uh we just touch base on what we do here but um we do breakfast lunch dinner we got specials all through the week remember Monday night kids eat free uh Tuesday night's college night buy one get one free sandwich with your student ID Wednesday night $5.99 pork plate Thursday night $5.99 half chicken plate and we run all kind of great family packs and specials throughout the weekend I look forward to serving you can't wait to see you back join us on Facebook check us out on YouTube there's going to be more videos to come see you then don't forget sweet tea got to have that everybody loves barue everybody loves here at DAV barbecue the Natural Born grillers you come here you can feed the whole fan family you've seen our wood have you ever seen their wood I mean really where do they keep our their wood at you keep our wood right here nothing's more fun just some meat in the buns at Davis barbecue nobody eats our meat the best meat you'll ever put in your mouth D barue for their big breakfast DAV get some let's have some fun [Music] mom Drive where's the wood we' got ours right here baby woo
