IF YOU THOUGHT IT WAS HOT YESTERDAY, GET READY IT'S GOOD TO GET HOTTER AS WE HEAD INTO THE REST OF THE WEEK LET'S TALK ABOUT THE EAST COAST, THEY'RE FARING A LITTLE BETTER BUT REMEMBER THEY HAVE A HUMIDITY AND IT FEELS A LITTLE BIT MUGGY FOR THEM ESPECIALLY WITH TEMPERATURES IN THE 60s AND FOR US BECAUSE WE HAVE THE EXCESSIVE HEAT WARNINGS WERE STARTING OFF RATHER WARM, HERE IS A LOOK EVEN NEAR THE AIRPORT MUCH WARMER THAN THE EAST COAST IS DEALING WITH AT THE MOMENT WERE LOOKING AT A LOT MORE OF THE 70s AND 80s THIS MORNING, THAT MEANS EVEN THOUGH WERE DEALING WITH A HOT AFTERNOONS WE ARE NOT COOLING DOWN THE WAY WE ARE SUPPOSED AND SOUTHERN CALIFORNIA, THAT IS BECAUSE OF THE HOT AIR FROM THE HIGH PRESSURE SYSTEM THAT STRENGTHENS. IT'S A GOOD INDICATOR THAT WERE STARTING OFF WARM AND THAT MEANS THIS AFTERNOON WILL BE HOTTER, RIGHT NOW WILL LOOK AT THE TEMPERATURES WITH THE NEXT WEATHER FORECAST IN THE UPPER 70s FOR BURBANK, PASADENA, DOWNTOWN L.A. IN THE LOW 70s NEAR AREAS LIKE THE AIRPORT AND UPPER 60s FOR CAMARILLO, LOW 70s FOR FULLERTON, THE NEXT WEATHER FORECAST WHAT WERE WATCHING FOR IS PEAK HEAT BEGINS TODAY AND A LOT OF IT WILL BE EXTENDED INTO SATURDAY THAT'S WHERE THE EXCESSIVE HEAT WARNINGS HAVE BEEN EXTENDED AS WELL THE RIVAL THE 2020 HISTORIC HEATWAVE A FEW YEARS BACK, WHETHER OR NOT IF WE BREAK RECORDS, PROBABLY NOT FOR A LOT OF AREAS EVEN THOUGH IT'LL BE HOT TODAY, THE RECORD SET IN 2020 WERE RATHER HIGH THIS IS SOMETHING WE WILL CONTINUE TO WATCH TO SEE, DURING THE TIME WITH A HOT DRY CONDITIONS IN OUR DRAIN FIELD MOISTURE AND ALSO GUSTY TO ERRATIC WINDS THIS CAN MAKE IT FAVORABLE FOR NEW FIRES TO START ELEVATED FIRE DANGER IN PLACE, THE GOOD NEWS YOU WILL START TO NOTICE TEMPERATURES COOLING DOWN, DECLINING STARTING SATURDAYFOR SOME AREAS HOWEVER, WERE SITTING ABOVE AVERAGE AND WE WILL CONTINUE TO COOL BUT THE TEMPERATURES WILL REMAIN ABOVE AVERAGE EVEN TO NEXT WEEK IT MEANS A PROLONGED HEAT EVENT CONTINUES ON THE NEXT FEW DAYS. WITH THE NEXT WEATHER HOUR BY HOUR FORECAST FOR AREAS LIKE DOWNTOWN L.A. WILL TOP OUT INTO THE MID-70s BY 8:00 A.M. AND JUST BEFORE THE LUNCH HOUR WERE GETTING INTO THE '90s AND WE DON'T CLIMB INTO TRIPLE DIGITS UNTIL AFTER THE LUNCH HOUR BUT THEN IT'LL STAY REALLY HOT IT GETS HOTTER FOR THE INLAND EMPIRE, YOU WILL START TO SEE TO PITCHERS BY 9:00 A.M. CLOSER TO 90 DEGREES BY NOON 105 AND PEAK AT 3:00 P.M. TO 111 ALSO THE BEACH COMMUNITIES RELATE COUNTY HAVE BEEN UPGRADED FROM A HEAT ADVISORY TO AN EXCESSIVE HEAT WARNING, THAT MEANS EVERYTHING THAT YOU SEE IN HOT PINK WERE TALKING DANGEROUSLY HOT TEMPERATURES, WARM OVERNIGHT, A LOT OF THESE PLACES HAVE NOW SEEN THE EXTENDED OR EXCESSIVE HEAT WARNINGS EXTENDED INTO SATURDAY, THIS IS THE REASON Y, 99 DEGREES TODAY, 103 EVEN HOTTER TOMORROW WE STAY IN THE NIGHT HI 90s ON SATURDAY AND THIS IS WHEN TEMPERATURES BEGIN TO COOL BUT THIS MEANS WERE ABOVE AVERAGE INTO NEXT WEDNESDAY BY WEDNESDAY THE GOOD NEWS WE FINALLY GET OUT OF THE '90s AND INTO THE 80s THE NEXT WEATHER 70 FOR THE VALLEYS 115 TODAY, 117 TOMORROW, 113 ON SATURDAY AND WILL FEEL A LITTLE BIT MORE THE HUMIDITY THIS WEEKEND AS MONSOONAL INCREASES STARTING SATURDAY AS WELL BUT YOU CAN SEE TEMPERATURES GOING DOWN WE DON'T GET OUT OF THE TRIPLE DIGITS UNTIL WEDNESDAY OF NEXT WEEK IN THE
