2024-25 Yahoo Fantasy Basketball LIVE H2H Category League Snake Draft!

e e e e e e good afternoon folks welcome back to God's card break I am happy to back here to do a gahoo fantasy basketball draft this one's going to be head-to-head uh snake draft category League we'll go over a couple of details and stuff here before we get into draft back on so to start us off talk a little strategy in head-to-head category leagues uh the idea for me at least what I try to do is go for an allaround team approach while punting turnovers uh Now with an all-around team approach my goal is to be in my weekly matchup now there's nine categories all I need to to win is five of them so if I can build an allaround team then you it stands that I'll do well in it five category that's kind of why I'm approach uh punching turnover is important forun pretty much any uh format here for Fantasy Basketball because players that up have high us turn but because they have high usage they're going to be involved that so you definitely to punt turn this one different uh I Target players who have got expanded roles on their but what I mean by that is I'm going to look at certain players uh let's take a paoo for example uh who is a power forward of course for the magic you take a look at a player like that and uh I I like him type of formats Productions uh in a position doesn't that well for that so it gives me category uh during the week um injured players are okay to draft provided they're expected to play before begin now this is kind of key um there are of course certain risks to be had when you draft a player like Joell embiid because don't really know how his health is going and if something happens to what happened last year dunk of the time when you most which is fantasy playoffs and it's also good to look for players who play positions this helps with the flexibility lineup that way it's easier for you to play all right when we're talking snake drafts there's a few over here as well uh my strategy for snake drafts in early rounds so the first five rounds I'm I'm going to picking best player available uh without really busting my strategy so for examp example um I was Pi seventh or eth still available I may not pick him even though he might be the best player available we about um his health and stuff um going into the middle rounds round six to n you want to fill positional gaps so if I ended up drafting two point yards in centers first five picks and that's going to uh going to leave me withs uh wings so I want to be looking at getting those then late rounds I try to draft some sleepers so it's usually a good idea to jump in the draft before it actually starts usually half an hour window custom stuff there uh it's a good idea to do that that so that way um ahead and pick up or you put players that you think as sleepers and put them on lat in the draft now in snake drafts uh don't be scared to start a positional run so if there is you have a need for a center and there six or seven centers on the board it's good to start that run it's a lot better to start the Run finish the run there could be a big gap quality of Center that you up if you so that's really uh the majority of the strategy that I have for going into uh drafts um I want to talk a little bit about a new platform as well that we are launching here for Fantasy Basketball we did this for fantasy baseball and it was a hit going back for Fantasy Basketball uh we I am a fantasy basketball adviser on platforms and basically what that is is it allows you to a question um and I will respond audio reply uh I can also get like if you send the Scots I can look at your team uh directly and I can kind of give you a little more to the points Sals in response uh but it's a really good way to be able to get some fantasy advice if you're kind of stuck on say if you are aren't you sure if you want trade or if you add a player who you should dropping all that those are great questions to ask and so I encourage you to go to um askme on q.com all1 and'll be able ask me all right jump in raft here a little early we got four left but I actually did realize that in go ahead before I do that I'm gonna oop I graphs one of of course they have um John Mor ranked pretty low this game didn't really play a whole lot don't really know did that he Absolut steal of the dra I've seen him going six seen him going around seven eight drafts already today that's going to be kind of the shoot guards three I typically will choose the players that are rank 50 on my Q I figure the first 50 are pretty straightforward after that you can kind of L around your gut feelings valued and that kind of stuff that's when you want all right okay so I've got fourth P this draft that's what and with the fourth pick I able to get the players I always like to kind of place top five pick um it will basically get shot at get major players so usually I've seen in the two drafts I've been today vict went first I expect no less out of Eric out of sight especially autopicking but if I were to be completely honest with you not be my first pick I would uh Venture on picking yic set up like this because he's that much more dominance category but I can't fall to you if you want all right here we go pick number one likely sure it is I just realized all right so I can Luka and Yannis because I don't want to have to hunting as much to choose H us me that so basically those top five Victor Shay Nicole H and those are the happen to get one of high spots this feel pretty good about yourself you're C around so with Luca my my goal here try and get some of the stats that he's not good in so I need definitely those are going kind of something I'm going on as in now of course there are a couple of changes um Yahoo fantasy Basketball this one is you may notice uh they're not doing 12 team standard is so that's going to that these drafts are going to go faster and they've been taking on average about half an hour which is crazy uh so take about a half an hour to complete um and you're only drafting 130 play more talents that left a wire in does give you a little bit of cushion if riskier um because you should be able to find more players off a wire okay so coming back to my here really quickly Brunson all right let's see how do we want Kevin Durant think want to secure another C let's go Kevin dur Scotty Barnes just picked up that was the next uh that was next to M grab draft e all right so I'm really tempted actually not quite sure what I want to do really really tempted to pick on James here I know the man is 40 but goodness gracious he still ball H although we're talking whether or not he's going to be available from playoff time definitely risky but I think I'm going to do it I've got the two ageless Wonders on the squad Kevin Durant I most definitely morance in round four that's the earliest I've seen seven been seven last go around and goon just left that was somebody I had my eye on here well I think now I'm going to go ahead go ahead and pick up Jaylen Johnson good with small Jaylen Johnson's going to help with some blocks um it's actually a really good defense boring jump this option that's going to belong so what are your thoughts is uh John Morant in the fourth round is that kind of where drafted he he definitely has good there's a good argument for that for sure especially ways which all right so it's my go here here uh Carl Anthony Chows is available but he's not quite the player that I want to draft I need blocks Evan Mo Center was power forward but Five Spot e so far the team's looking pretty solid got a lot of risk at the top with Kevin Durant and the but uh Cly in uh fantasy anything never really know how well your team go because body's I think the biggest thing that worried about games though agression it'll be harder to last last year but even where I got them drafted pretty good e got a couple for my my selection go ahead and pick up one of my favorite players to pick up fantasy drafts that being derck whites um not really a true guard definitely more shooting guard uh but he carries dos like power forward especially when you like he basically is Johnson dos from that nice little asset e all right so the next player I'm going to pick up here still pretty good as well it's going to Bexton um he already know what he can do on defense and of course with the lack of scoring in Brooklyn they would imagine he's well uh finish off play I would look is being now of course the first five rounds have already gone we're now into trying to fill spots that backing here up shooting guard and Derek White I'm looking and that it's probably a good idea to actually get a true point guard there's not going to be many left in the draft to this point so we may have to dig a little bit try and find one that's going to be for the next talk here other player that of course I was looking not surprised that himing green uh um going 10th round go in the seventh round or 19 this draft e e all right back over to look down the list of the I can exactly sure where I want to and that's also a little Insurance there for if LeBron need I actually don't Walker Kessler is another kick uh eighth round reaching a little bit for him but uh that might off here Zach Ed well that's another on start of this e now this next pick is really just uh heartwarming I have his Tonto Raptors jersey course has switched times go ahead and bonus had to have one te e e right we're getting close to again there's an interesting player that's out there empting I don't know he you know what I'm going to I don't typically pick up players like Jordan but we're in the 10th round Wasington scoring this scoring ised now he's not going to do it on a very percentage he's likely going to have some high turnover well but based on I have here the turnovers I don't really really the other eight category long as points might be able value out of him W to see if Tyler hero was going to around fortunately just got picked up by Jason's swell team we're going to go ahead we're going to go up not should do it for guards uh I've got five players arguably two the other three shooting guards but uh that's going to take basic both position I watch well like Venter e this draft has gone nice and quick again we're going to likely end up under the 30 minute Mark uh for this one Denny AIA I was targeting my team again is maybe he's seen a couple of my drafts today that's all right that's all right okay cam Johnson on the team course right after that the center that I was looking so really scratching claw for that last pick here e e all right so time for my last pick not entirely sure where I want to go with this but I figure going to go with somebody who kind of fits the what I was trying to do uh early on the draft to pick that's going to go ahead and pick up Alex so then doesn't really pan out on OKC that's fine he's my last Choice try in way or probably another Center that's going to do it here for my draft including um now that's our first look at Yahoo fantasy Basketball head-to-head category League I appreciate your thoughts on how well I did if there are players that I should have targeted earlier um would have mean some picks or have made so I'm encouraged to hear your uh feedback on this y that's going to do here for that uh we got another draft should be lined up here so I am going and just take a look at the draft results I always like just or this not too bad um looks like I might have one of the best field goal percent uh my free throw percentage is wor so at some um solid in actually yeah pretty middle of the road but um that's all right what I'm looking for around outside of maybe free per it okay with that so yeah that's going to do it here for this one uh I
