national forest was 3% contained at 10: a.m. Pacific Standard Time Monday today according to the California Department of Forestry and Fire Protection or calfire residents in nine areas including Forest Falls they have been ordered to leave immediately while people in six other surrounding areas are under evacuation warning more than 36,300 structures are under the threat from an uncontrolled Blaze calfire has said some 1,700 fire Personnel are involved in fighting the fire as well as 15 helicopters and 195 fire engines there have so far been no confirmed losses of life and only three injuries now the be Valley unified and Redlands unified school districts announced that they are cancelling all classes on Monday today due to road closures and poor air quality while almost 20,000 customers in the area were without power according to the powerout.us website the fires spread comes after a period of extreme heat in California with triple digit temperatures the heat surrounding the line fire reached such levels that it created its own weather system Saturday and produced thunderstorm like pric column clouds or fire clouds which were responsible for 280 lightning strikes hitting the ground the national weather service has said wow absolutely incredible fire clouds in California let me know your thoughts absolutely incredible they said it created its own weather system this is hot dry conditions expected this week that will only add to the challenge facing authorities downtown LA reached 112 degrees on Friday only the Third time since 1877 a temperature that high has been reached there the national weather service has said now County officials who declared an emergency on Saturday evening issued evacuation orders for Running Springs arob Bear Lake areas east of Highway 330 and other regions as well so if you are in Southern California I'm sure you already know it is hot it is on fire it is dry and please take precautions we're hearing massive evacuation are taking place uh and we're hearing there are school closures there's this own weather system that's being created because of what's unfolding so if you are in southern Los Angeles or Southern California a prayers go out to you please take precaution now because they are saying only 3% of the fire is currently contained and will likely continue spreading now if you are in Northern California forward progress stopped on Lake County wildfire that blew up in a populated area and now this is the latest September 9th at 10:00 a.m. today forward progress on a wildfire that blew up Sunday in a populated area of California's Lake C County burning down homes and Charing Vehicles has been stopped officials have said as of Monday now the boils fire was first reported at 2:14 p.m. in the southern part of Clear Lake a town that sits on California's largest freshwater lake and spreads rapidly amid hot blustery weather calfire said it was reported to be 76 Acres on Sunday night and the fire did not grow overnight said Autumn Lancaster a spokesperson for the Lake County Fire Protection District containments to it at 40 to 45% on Monday morning so for that particular one they said that they've contained 50% of it they're getting ahead of it they think that they're going to be able to stop the fire there they're slowing it down but in Southern California as I just mentioned another story now we're going to be talking about the Gulf Coast and the hurricane coming here in just a second now the origin of the fire was on some raw land behind a residential and Commercial area Lancaster said and the fire spread rapidly into densely populated areas known for having high fire risk now Flames have been impacting an estimated 30 structures Lancaster said the number is likely to include mostly homes as the fire burned through residential areas Flames also destroyed 40 to 50 Vehicles as well some mandatory evacuations remained in place Monday morning today lancasters said there's a risk of some hot spots in the burn areas flaring up this afternoon when winds pick up the cause of the fire is still under investigation now yesterday September the e8th at 8:12 p.m. fire Crews were making good progress and fighting the boils fire despite forward progress not being stopped calfire announced on X citing Lake County officials the updat said evacuation orders remained in place with 40 to 50 Vehicles destroyed September 8th at 4:48 p.m. a wildfire had broken out on Sunday afternoon in Northern California town of Clear Lake leading to 4,000 people needing to evacuate their homes officials had said now the blaze called the boils fire was first reported at 2:14 p.m. in the southern part of the town near the intersection of Dam Road and boils Avenue said Jason clay a spokesperson for calire at a 3:55 p.m. a fire was 76 Acres uh in estimation he said contained at 10% So within a day they went from 10% to 40 to 50% this was located in Lake County just north of the Bay Area Clear Lake in a town of 16,600 people that sits on Clear Lake the state's largest freshwater lake calfire reported 30 structures involved in a fire update on social media that means approximately 30 structures were on fire clay said on the phone call now the fire is burning in thick brush that is parched and highly flammable at the end of a hot dry summer clay described the fire spread rate as moderate there are a High number of helicopters and air tankers making good progress dropping water and fire retardant he said the Clear Lake Police Department has issued a series of evacuations get the latest evacuation information from the Clear Lake Police Department's Nixie emergency alert page or on the Genesis protect evacuation map calfire is posting updates also on X for those in Northern California that might be in the line of this Northern fire so this is happening in Northern California as I mentioned for those of you hoen on a little bit late we've got uh uncontained fires in Southern California only 3% contained so please be aware of those we're hearing evacuations are taking place in northern and southern California state of emergency announced by Gavin Newsome for the State of California with the fires out of control but that's not all it's not just California as I mentioned this is coast to coast we are hearing extreme weather warnings coming out now I'm taking a look at what's going to be unfolding here in the Gulf Coast we're talking Texas Louisiana Mississippi as there is a hurricane that is coming towards the United States now do me a favor I see we've got 1,119 people on with me live if I could get some more likes just to help spread this out further if you haven't done so yet please take a second 70 more likes gets us up to 600 likes that would be awesome and don't forget subscribe to stay up to date I'll keep you up to speed on everything now here is an NBC news update on tropical storm Francine which is forecasted to strengthen into a hurricane aiming for the US Gulf Coast tropical storm Francine forecasted to strengthen into a hurricane hitting the Gulf Coast a hurricane watch is in effect for almost the entire Louisiana coast from Cameron to Grand Isles now the article says tropical storm Fran scene is forecasted to strengthen into a hurricane because it reaches the US Gulf Coast by midweek this week and again today is September the 9th they are saying this week prepare for extreme weather tropical storm Fran scine is going to be coming the storm is currently in the Gulf Coast of Mexico about 245 miles Southeast of the mouth of the real grand with maximum sustained winds of 50 mph and higher gusts according to the National Hurricane Center it's moving North Northwest at 5 miles per hour and is forecasted to move offshore of the northern Gulf of Mexico through Tuesday and approach the Louisiana and upper Texas Coastline on Wednesday so if you are in Texas Louisiana you're over here with me in Houston be ready because tomorrow or Wednesday we are hearing there is going to be some uh severe weather hitting with this they're saying category 1 hurricane uh on the way this is Hurricane Francine Francine is expected to become a hurricane before it reaches the Northwestern us Gulf Coast on Wednesday the Hurricane Center said a hurricane watch is in effect for almost the entire Louisana Iana Coast from Cameron to Grand Isles the storm is expected to bring 4 to 12 Ines of rain and Trigger flash flooding along the far coast of the Northeast Mexico southern Texas Southern Louisiana and Southern Mississippi into Thursday morning the Hurricane Center said so again today it is Monday September the 9th Tuesday Wednesday Thursday we can anticipate getting hit in this Gulf Coast area by the hurricane that is coming in Hurricane Francine and I'm taking a look at the uh timeline weather map and they are showing it moving up the coast from Mexico into Texas into Louisiana Mississippi hitting parts of Alabama and even moving out they're saying into Tennessee uh into Kentucky I'm seeing Missouri it's reaching out even further up north uh they are anticipating now again this is just their projections uh I'm not sure how confident they are in this but they are saying prepare now as this week there is going to be some extreme weather coming now the combination of the dangerous storm surge and the Tide wide cause normally uh and the tide will cause normally dry areas near the coast to be flooded by Rising Waters moving Inland from the shoreline the Hurricane Center said adding that the deepest water will occur along the coast and be accompanied by large and dangerous waves Louisiana's Coast from Cameron to Port foron could get 5 to 10 feet of storm surge the area from Cameron all the way to High Island on the eastern coast of Texas could also see three to five feet of storm surge as well Freedom thank you so much for the $10 Super Chat he says I live in Bakersfield California we are still having massive hot heat here 104 degrees normal until late September it's not climate garbage I lived here all of my life for 70 years he says thank you for that freedom and letting me know and yes I hope that you and your family are safe I know you're probably a couple hours away from Los Angeles uh where they were saying there are those massive fires let me know Freedom are you getting the smoke in that area as we're hearing that northern and southern California right now are on fire and now let's go ahead and go back to this article from NBC News talking about the Gulf Coast and what's going to be coming here likely in the next 24 to 48 hours a storm surge watches in effect for the High Island Texas to the Mississippi and Alabama border and Louisiana's ver Millan Bay Lake miras and Lake patran uh thus far this 2024 Atlantic storm season which started in June and ends in November 30th there have been five name storms three of which have become hurricanes August tropical Cyclone activity was a little below normal in terms of the number of names for the storms the Hurricane Center said Debby made landfall in the Big Ben region of Florida as a category 1 hurricane before moving offshore and and making landfall again as a tropical storm in South Carolina in early August while Ernesto became a category 1 hurricane when it moved over Bermuda in mid August the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration have predicted above normal hurricane activity in the Atlantic Basin this year forecasting a range of 17 to 25 total name storms which is defined by having Winds of 39 mph or higher with eight of the 13 forecasted to become hurricanes the above normal activity was forecasted because of near record warm ocean temperatures in the Atlantic linia conditions in the Pacific reduced Atlantic trade winds and less wind shear as well so uh we have hotter than normal temperatures a lot of extreme winds and they are saying that you can expect a higher a more active than normal hurricane season this year and we're saying when we're seeing right now Francine is on the way and they are saying prepare because if you are in the Gulf Coast you're likely going to get hit by this hopefully you don't get it straight on um if you are here in Houston with me you're probably going to get a little bit of rain uh hopefully it doesn't Veer towards Houston unfortunately we're hearing it is going right towards Louisiana in the South so uh please prepare right now as they're saying that's going to be coming your way likely to be hitting tomorrow or Wednesday so uh do all the necessary precautions to prepare now make sure that you've got everything set in place as this is coming your way or just go ahead and make sure that you get out of the way of the storm just like we're hearing the evacuations taking in place in California with the fires uh as well so uh some pretty extreme weather coming out today you guys make sure that you and the family are safe and again resources linked down below for you and your family um in addition to that if you missed it like I said major recalls on food meat I believe it's the Bor head brand I list the ENT entire uh CDC list of meats that have been recalled also we're hearing there is a salmona outbreak nine various States impacted by the eggs where they are saying uh make sure
