want to mention the fact that there is no dubbed version of The Reunion currently available so this will be with subtitles um this happened with um Brazil as well I think it's just too new and they haven't I don't know they ever do dub it yeah I don't know cuz I never went back to Brazil to see if they like redubbed afterwards but they haven't dubbed this so you will have to watch watch or if you just want to listen to our commentary um and you don't speak Spanish then you know you you'll lose out on a little bit of the context uh I think we should just hop into it let's do it all right that though because I if I'm remembering correctly Karen said that emy's dad is very much in her life like very present so Fernando isn't like I'm D yeah he says I get to practice my fatherly instincts exactly that's true that's nice that's respectful to Karen's X and like Em's Dad yeah that's great point I really likeing stand up people here oh they're going to talk about her behavior at the barbecue yeah a lot of people thought she kind of popped off a little too much she did she was a little drunk it it really wasn't that bad in my opinion yeah it was a weird situation I felt weird about it when I showed up I think there's also like how you feel about it and what you do about it though you can tell she's drunk I know she just like no she didn't propose to him she didn't propose to him she did come in with all her cards though she did she all butos to him basically I kind of watching it now seeing how ir and Renee went later in the episode I feel a little bad for I's time that I didn't feel as bad the previous time watching it cuz Karen's going hard at her Karen has teeth yeah I don't I saw somebody say that basically it gave them a little bit more respect for her because she's so Meek and quiet a lot of the time and yeah she didn't talk about Aras behind her back she said it to her face true I'd prefer that cuz there's a lot of people that pretend that they're above stuff like that but they will go behind your back and say the worst [ __ ] so it is it is better that way if it's a onetime thing to me and I know this is a hot take but if it's like a onetime thing that that happens I actually think she has a better opportunity to have a relationship with your a moving forward giving like having that up from conversation if she's just like talking crap about her behind her back there's no chance for them to repair that in my opin agree yeah you could have a spat and then you end up like okay like yeah I get it like I know that you're you're you better intentions than I believed at the time that's just my opinion though and I know she came in too hot like she did she came in too hot I don't think that IAS had bad intentions but I did think that she knew that Karen and Fernando were getting close to like like end game and that's when she declared her love to Fernando yeah I maybe for her she felt that way and I could get cuz she's only in her own experience but watching it it didn't feel like Fernando was really giving mixed signals also it's hard cuz you're dating everybody in the pods like at some point you are giving mixed signals cuz at some point you're dating multiple people and the connection is building with one more than the others and you haven't told the others yet you're breaking off more connections than you're building right inherently and the timing of that is so difficult see this is what this is what I was saying like that order of operations yes she she knew that she had a strong connection and she soas is representing it as a different timeline right to save face and then she tells Fernando that she knows about his other connection oh and then Renee dude like having to watch this again no Fernando also I don't think was giving mixed signals in he just straight said no do you want to keep seeing each other no oh look at Renee smiling when he's like Renee is great yeah do you see Renee that I would consider that a proposal but I also hear what he's saying it was definitely moving in the direction of a proposal it was one step away from a proposal and I think that's kind of what that's where the confusion is here yeah I don't know that the order of the scenes changes the outcome for me either because she definitely knew about his connection with Karen before she mentioned it in the pot she did so it I don't know oh man Rene is so great I know he's almost I almost get the vibe from him where he's like if you didn't like me I would like you to like Fernando because Rene is so awesome and he's right Fernando is great and Renee is great yeah so like he's not upset about it he's like yeah she had what she had with him and that's okay dude I don't feel like I don't have a problem with her later on getting with Renee and seeming to really try in that I think that she's vaguely misrepresenting what went down with Fernando because she feels like it makes her look bad or apparently all right their weird public dispay of Love or like to me just like feels a little forced grandiose and forced yeah yeah trou Paradise I'm sure they love each other it's just like I really respect her honestly cuz she's like if it if it wasn't for Sylvie maybe she would have pursued something with chma but she's like that's I'm not going to like step on toes and [ __ ] well and the friction between the two of them is natural because you're in a love triangle and it's just the way the show works it's not like I don't think people come in trying to do that but inherently that's going to happen that's the point one of the points of the show oh my God I wish we'd gotten a little more drama from Alandra but I Al respect that she didn't go there yeah yeah I see I'm going to say no I'm just going to say no you think no Rene's too stand up like he doesn't have very many tells cuz I think he's just a really nice dude yeah I think so too cuz you could also be really offended by relationships fail all to begin with and you add the distance into it their family feels like Rene's family feels like it would be tough to get in but once you're in but once you're in family solid watching it she is confirming were distinct boundary violations he was pushing her physical boundaries too much and then like not verbally being appropriate after and then going to herard and being do any work and then she feels like her relationship in the future should look like that regardless of who she's with which is quite an assumption yeah I mean I mentioned it off screen though like she went to she went to drama school in Italy like you know she's she's well off and she expects a well off lifestyle we see this frequently on the show where you have a I guess like a bit a bit of a class mispairing where you've got somebody who's wealthier and somebody who maybe doesn't make as much and the wealthier person expects that lifestyle I like Franchesco is basically like my life was more privileged and Willie was like I also grew up in privilege yeah he had he had a good life it just you know money was handled differently like our yeah like the the house was run by both my mom and my dad is for now oh she is what is she there why why are they keeping her like why sequestered oh look at Sylvie doing a dance does that mean like it's about to go down I do think Fernand might actually believe that but it could be honestly at this point it kind of feels like it and then you get to see the real stuff and this is so freaking cute thank God Fernando and car holy crap [Music] dude oh oh look at him setting [ __ ] up there in the house oh they're so cute dude oh I'm so glad this is so nice we needed this that's cute than thank God for them we're going to book end with is that what's happening [Applause] here cck at least a couple did click every other couple like hates each other but at least they like each other yeah it does take a lot of Bravery to show up on a reunion like this it does holy crap it does I feel uncomfortable that's how I feel ending this just because like they tried to book end it but it wasn't enough to take the bad taste out of my mouth that was a lot that was a lot that was a lot I don't know what to say I don't know what to say either okay I do know what to say okay I am really glad that IRAs addressed the situation with Renee yes I think it makes a lot of sense it sucks that she had to because obviously like what happened with her was like a trauma reaction and like you can I mean the more you watch her the more you can tell even Under Pressure that's not really like how she normally she didn't show up that poorly in any other situation on the show no she shows up a little smug a few times but like who wouldn't if you think you're right in a scenario like but at no point she get to the point that she was after she met Rene and you can tell like it's you can tell that something is off and I'm really glad that she addressed it and that it makes sense why Renee like unquestionably accepted her and then like moved on yeah absolutely and why and I actually really appreciate this too the show didn't replay those clips cuz they were like pretty offensive yeah and and instead of showing that they it without like rehashing every word which I think is appropriate and then she doesn't have to watch herself traumatized again that's true because it was also a trauma response from her meaning it would not only did she have to talk about it but have to re rewatch her her feeling that that would be hard and she already feels bad you can tell she feels bad she was crying I feel like those tears were real like she feels bad about the way she showed up but sometimes I mean you really can't you can't help it necessarily when stuff like that happens yeah and that's a perfect example of like she hurt somebody because of her trauma it her trauma response is understandable it also doesn't mean that what she said was okay and she apologized she apologized to R yeah like that to me I was really really glad that they cleared that up and that was one of the only moments in the reunion that I thought was even like intelligible because I couldn't tell what was going on like herard kissing mafair even though they're not together and then insisting forcing themselves up on the stage into the circle my say that she was like you want us to go up there right and then they're like yeah yeah go up there but there's no point because they're actually not together cuz I thought they were going to kiss and it was going to be like oh they're together no they just hugged so they're not but he had already kissed her which is weird if you're not with someone so like that was confusing her though and then the chma syia thing seems weird because Sylvia seemed angry at chma and Cha was like we love each other as friends she called him a boy and uh and said like I called him a jerk she used like Dem [Music] diminutio about having like personal things that he needed to like clean up which I don't even I don't even know I don't know what that is the desert man and then Franchesca and Willie literally just took the opportunity well Franchesca took the opportunity to attack Willie yet again which I really know why that was warranted I get giving the gift back actually that's totally normal that's what I don't want this you can have it fine right but then like you need this more than me just all kind of shitty like Will's got issues but he doesn't Willie and Franchesca both have issues Willie doesn't need to learn from Franchesca no you know and she keeps on like you said she keeps on trying to school him yeah and they just have different perspectives and he had a lot of anxiety like anxiety isn't you need to grow up anxiety is you have a bit of a like of a mental disorder because it's like your brain I mean I have I have and have had anxiety severely and you it's it's like a brain chemistry thing at a certain point it's not it's not like oh just like stop being anxious it doesn't work that way no it doesn't it's not it's the way she was from your anxiety thing like you're right that's not spread the whole spread your wings narrative thing for me was like frustrating she did it again on here it's condescending is what it is and she really needs to stop like she has her own stuff he has his own stuff at the end of the day if you actually feel that way towards someone if you actually feel like you know they have learning to do and growing up to do why are you talking to them like that it didn't seem seem supportive it seem from a place of condescension rather than support honestly and I don't know why you would do that to someone yeah um so that sucked sa holy crap that was I don't know I wish I wish we would stop find not finding out I wish these things would stop happening in these shows yeah I wish it would too I don't understand what complicated about someone and lety was very clear even on camera with her boundaries and she said she brought it up she said I said before in the pods she said it you made me repeat myself over and over again and basically she had to like bring up his daughter to get him off of her yeah which ised up it's messed up it is and honestly like he apologized great but it's it's not really it's not really enough I need to see a lot more well I'm not going to cuz I'm never going to see these people again but like that that I I don't know I'm glad he apologized though and he didn't yeah he unequivocably apologized for the most part he didn't give excuses there was one period I can't ex passion he's overcome he did things like I couldn't control myself which is not an excuse no I could control myself is still your problem yeah honestly so right then you go with therapy until you go to therapy until you until you can listen to what people are telling you yeah absolutely um that was great yeah and then who else the weird thing with f with Fernanda where they like hid her the entire time for reasons I still don't really understand except maybe she said like she couldn't emotionally handle being there the whole time but they weren't even talking about her the whole time so it was really weird that she was like behind a curtain where everyone else was like out on stage unless she asked to not be able to like not have to be there the whole time or something it's like an accommodation but like these shows don't give crap about accommodation so maybe maybe seemed keyed up keyed up yeah and we've seen her keyed up before and maybe it was sort of a thing to like reduce pressure yeah cuz she didn't seem like she was in a good space when she was talking she didn't seem to be happy to be there honestly yeah um using her as like a oh is she here or is she not here thing was kind of strange tooz then using whatever it was very the whole thing was very weird these reunions are are just ridiculous yeah I don't I feel like I did get answers to the bulk of the questions that that I that I wanted but I don't I wish I could go back in time and not want it because now I just feel weird you know yeah there are a couple things that got well cleared up though a couple a lot of things just is a mess so happy for Fernando and Karen oh so happy so adorable so glad they're kind so I they're they're like the they're like the people that really have nothing and really don't want a lot to do with every everybody else and everything else going on and they're just like did you see occasionally he would just kiss her or he would like hold her hand like squeeze your hand and stuff it was very cute yeah just watching all the Meltdown across the room so well clearly them were there like with like pure intentions and you know it worked for them then and they made a good match so good for them which is awesome yeah yeah so congratulations yeah glad we got a reunion glad we got to see it I feel weird now so I don't
