DTE Outage Map User Video

dte's new enhanced outage map offers an updated user experience making it easier to get accurate and timely information right at your fingertips in the short video we will introduce some of the features and key functions of the map to access the map open the DTE mobile app or visit outage.dtenergy.com forward slash map when the map launches you will notice a simplified look ensuring users can get to the information they need quickly by clicking on the menu button located at the top left a user can report an outage or check the status of an existing outage Additionally you can see the total number of customers served and current weather forecast in the region to search a specific address click on the magnifying glass and begin typing the street address [Music] select the correct address when it pops up you can even save addresses for easy access later to open the map legend click this button on the bottom left users can view the map by location County or zip code during outage situations users will notice blue oval icons with numbers which indicate an area outage for example the icon here represents multiple outages in the area and the number shown 55 means it is impacting 55 customers in total that are out of power when you click on the blue oval icon or zoom in to an area with multiple outages the blue oval icon will split up to show unique outages on the map in this example we see that the blue oval icon has converted into four individual outages the various colors and symbols are used to show how many customers are impacted by an outage based on the legend definitions by clicking on a specific outage area a user can see the exact number of customers affected and the estimated restoration time for this outage example you can see here that there are eight customers impacted and the estimated restoration time is November 4th 2022 at seven o'clock pm we're working hard to prevent outages from happening for our customers but when they do we hope this new map provides the information you need thank you for taking the time to watch this video and for being a valued DTE Energy customer
