PHILADELPHIA PHILLIES BEAT KANSAS CITY ROYALS 11-3 REACTION

all right ladies and gentlemen I'm here on the show and I'm here to talk about the final game of a three game series here between the Philadelphia Phillies and the Kansas City Royals and a good series win for the Philadelphia Phillies of their offense I've really been criticizing lately you know I've been recapping the Phillies playing all these good teams their offense is really struggling with the pitching like I said the pitching hadn't been the problem for them it's just their offense had been really really inconsistent I shouldn't they weren't even consistent really it's just they were consistent if they were consistently playing bad even in the first game of this series they weren't great but the last two games they were excellent I thought in this series um yesterday they had 11 runs uh 18 hits today you get 16 hits 11 runs so you get a combined according to my calculations ladies and gentlemen that is 22 runs according to my calculations 22 runs over the last two nights and yet you got scor him 22 to5 over the last two games to improve a 76 and 54 and the Royals uh 10 total hits for but only three runs so they got hits today they just weren't able to score runs and they dropped a 72 and 58 two of their three runs came via the Homer or actually all three runs were on solo homer so the only three runs Philly gave up were three solo home runs uh Kobe alard was a starter today for Philadelphia he was promoted for a spot start got called back up and he was great five innings well he was okay he gave a lot of hits but he got five innings a two- run ball uh eight hits 200 runs uh no walks five strikeouts so I thought a good outing from a Kobe alard and a spot start Jose Ruiz one inning one hit one run no walks no strikeouts Matt St one inning no hits no runs no walks and one strike out yeah I'm going stop trying to do an accident um Jose alado actually a good out uh one inning one hit nor r no W he struck out two and car those God EST one inning no hits no runs no walks and no strike it so four Innings of one run ball from the Phillies bull pin with three strikeouts two hits one run and strike out three the offense was hell good uh today for the Philadelphia philes and the only one of them one out of those 11 runs only two of them can be the Homer two Homer from casos so let's go over the lineup here schwarber with two for five three rbi's Trey Turner was one for five R Harper one for four an RBI Alec bone two for four a walk three rbi's casanas one for five two rbi's stop one for four a walk Brandon Marsh two for three two walks and two runs scored Johan Roos two for five you got Garrett stubs four for four One RBI and three runs scored when uh that was the advantage I thought was the bottom of the line of you got two for three two wats from Marsh two for five from r four for four from stubs just the whole lineup producing this game for the Phillies and that's what you need you need your whole lineup to produce it when the top of the top of the lineup wasn't producing they struggled but the top of the lineup really produced these last few games and the bottom of the order followed uh Philadelphia for the Royals um Seth logo wasn't his day um the last two days the Royal starters really got lit up I thought yesterday 11 hits five runs I believe for Brady Sor today for Seth Lugo 5.1 Innings pitch 11 hits five earn runs one walk Three strikeouts for Seth Lugo so not a good outing uh Chris Buck Point tunings pitch One Hit N runs no walks no strikeouts Angel zura uh the Comm wasn't there for him today one inning zero hits zero IR runs three walks and and zero strikeouts so yeah just wasn't wasn't a great Ting for him Will Smith he's been a horrible for the Royals 1.0 Innings pitched um four hits five earned runs no walks one strike out Garrett hson um position player one inning no hits no run walks no strikeouts so let's go for the offense now Mel Garcia 25 in RBI Bobby junor 24 RBI two Sol homers pastino one for four Perez uh Salvador Perez two for four fine o for four Mendez two for three in RBI so three solo homers there dong 0 for four Blanco one for two Frasier for 0 for two pinch hitting and H for D young uh Gentry 0 for one pinch hitting so yeah 11 to3 is your final score 7654 fils your record 7258 for the Royals uh let's go with the scoring summary fail we had two in the third one in the fourth three in the sixth five in the eighth Kansas City one in the third one in the fifth and one in the sixth scoring sumy schwarber double Center bom single scored two in the third wh Homer in the bottom of the third made two two one schw ground Out 3 to one Michel Garcia homered and then the top of the six stubs double straber single and and a Fielding air made it 6'2 then cut to 6'3 and a solo Homer Harper doubled bom single Homer in the Ace to make it 113 which end up being your final great offense these last two games from Philadelphia the starting pitching was great and that's a good good series win against a good team right there good quality Series win they continue their scoring Outburst of course they got to keep going this time so we'll see if the if this Astros team provides a daunting fight that the Phillies um are expecting in four starts Kobe L has a 3.50 all right he's pitched against the teams that are first Sixth and 12th and run scor so he's pitched really well so we'll see what happens our next series man take two out three against Kansas City good team see when they play Houston but peace
