PEGULA vs SHNAIDER • US Open 2024 • LIVE Tennis Play by Play Stream

all right we'll go through the preview as well in a bit for uh this match could be interesting this one Schneider's been really good this year and uh they did play in Toronto these two couple of weeks ago it was not as exciting as maybe we had planned but it was definitely uh was definitely interesting to watch and Schneider is very dangerous we've seen that this year but welcome to the double head up we've got Pelini versus Muka very interesting match up they're having a having a good uh good hit out there so far and uh we got paga taking on Schneider as well which uh it's very there's a lot of interesting matches today cam was O number four back in the day was I uh you seem so much calmer this morning I'm just tired yesterday was uh was a big day all right first there was a F take a Ser the back in palini back in m to the for of palini as Muka into the for of palini again the for of Muka palini with the back and slice Muka with the forehand winner and it's 15 love I told my friend to watch you yesterday you were on fire was I have I met to Woodbridge no no I have not I don't think he lives in Melbourne I think he's from Sydney all 15 love or he doesn't live in if he lives in Melbourne he lives in the nice part uh where I don't go cuz uh it's too hard to get to it's expensive for for re as the back hand goes up into the gu from muker and P puts away the swing volley 1 15 0 15 oh you go on holidays in the offseason I will this year last year I had weddings so I couldn't go anywhere I had to uh I had to uh attend weddings so this year I have no uh weddings to to go to so I'm free to I don't know where I'll go though I don't know where to go maybe I'll just like I know I don't know where I'll go backand slice from Muka to the slice of Pini Muka with the backand to the back and of palini for Muk again the back and palini in to the for of Muka palini with a on the shre Muka down the line as P Muka hits another back end Pini with the back end cross score Muka drop shot palini is there it'sit a winner 1530 1530 You Should Crash some weddings why would I do that have I met Mark Woodford no jsb you just going to go through every single player that's ever played tennis for Australia because I'll tell you what I've met Leon hu and the end that's it you don't need to go down like oh have you met Scott Draper have you met Way Wayne Arthurs have you met Chris guccion have you met uh Pat cash have you I've met Pat cash actually um 5 30 have you met met Alicia mik have you met ashb have you met Sam stoer have you met Casey Aqua no have you met Rod La have you met Roy Emerson have you met Ken Roswell have you met Margaret Court no I haven't met any of them 30 o Muk trying to stay level here she serves get Muk I haven't met demon we met Nick K I met any of them I met Leon hu and I met Pat cash that's it the end end of Australian tennis that's it the end serve into the for palini return goes the for Muka palini forehand goes in goes wide 4030 and go got a free ball nice benefits of sitting in the front row you get free stuff 4030 4030 s to the four end of Pini return goes long 3 three 33 three all back to palini serve into the for of Muka for from palini to the back of Muka get the for of palini who hits it out love 15 love 15 of 15 s to the back end of Muka back in palini the back of Muka as Pini hit four into line middle Muka four hand again to the for of palini and to the four Muka as Pini goes again the for Muka into the for of palini is Muka again crosscourt at the for of palini M backand palini gets with the backand down the line but it's long love 30 you met the muffin man that's crazy the muffin man love 30 love 30 chance for a break here Muka this getting ugly for Pini love 30 serving to the for Muk m in the net 1530 what's the most beautiful city outside of Australia in your opinion you what what do you mean outside of Australia you mean is a country we to serve oh wait you're saying what what's the most beautiful city that doesn't count Australian cities um beautiful city I don't know sering the four of palini for the back for M back in palini again the back in mver as palini foring goes Cross Court M on the stretch palini voles it away 30 um I mean it's hard because I'm like I've been to a few places that are like you know people think are like really cool and beautiful and stuff but I'm like I don't know I mean I've being a Venice and stuff and that's all cool it's not like Australia is so such a young place like the the buildings of stuff are so like modern in compared to like the rest of the world that like even like London living there was crazy cuz it was just old like there's just like the buildings were so old and I know London is a terrible Choice cuz a lot of people are like oh London's like you know dirty and smelly in city but I'm like but that was that was awesome because it was just so different to what I'm used to I've never been to Estonia all right 3040 like most of Europe is is is pretty like the whole of Europe can I just pick Europe 30 40 second serve I'll just say um Europe server to the back end of Muka backing up palini into the front of Muka palini with a slice on the stretch goes up and goes wide break Muka two games away from the quarterfinals who said London was dirty I mean like it's it's it's not I don't think it's considered like the same as like a you know like a like a Venice right I mean it's you know it's not the same yeah ockland was lovely going to ockland at the start of the year was awesome like their buildings are like really cool even though it's not as not as old as like Europe but yeah they're um they've kept a lot of their their um like early 1900s kind of like uh style whereas Australia like Melbourne is either buildt on top of the old stuff or they've like ripped the old stuff down so it's a little bit less uh little bit not as good not as nice as ockland ockland was really really cool really um really nice I have venison smelly I just got lost in the middle like I got lost in it a good way not like I got lost in the Wonder of it no no I literally got lost I couldn't find my way out and it was really stressful cuz like you're in like in Venice it's like really like crammed and then there's just water everywhere so you're like you're like how the how do I get out of this ma it's like a maze it's a maze it's a nightmare I did not like Venice um I thought it was overrated it was stress I was only there for like a couple hours but um that was enough I don't need to spend like three days in Venice I'm good I'm good I went there I had a coffee I walked around I saw it I'm out I didn't need to be in Venice for three days to appreciate Venice I have been to Amsterdam and Amsterdam is very similar the difference is that you turn around a corner and you're in a completely different part of the part of the place and you and it's a very it's a very it's interesting anyway who's going to win this match um schneid is serving first I'm going to go p in three Amsterdam you get lost and you turn around the corner and then there's all these red lights and you're like hang on where am I all of a so all of a sudden one you're walking past the restaurant and then you're walking past you're walking just past other things it's very it's very uh it's very weird it's a weird place but I I Amsterdam's cool and it's got a cool interesting it's interesting it's an interesting place and as 40 love Schneider Rock and yeah do rockan all right 40 love as we Ser down see the four of paga P out one love one love Schneider all right m is also at 40 love here to go to 53 what are you chatting about we're talking about like uh cities all right 40 love to grab the 53 she does m up 53 she canidates a the break now palini is going to have to serve to stay in the match all right here we go palen serving to stay in the match as with a fult from Pini second serve second serve return goes in the for of Pini Muka backand as Pini backand goes again the back of Muka sliced into the for of Pini as M hit a lob and the smash oh Pini lost it in the sun and she hits it into the the net that was a tough Smash and she knows it love 15 she knows it she just couldn't quite see it maybe we should have let that one bounce love 15 Al love 30 Schneider about to break here first games of the match as the return goes in the forehand of Muka for from P the for m the stretch goes down the line M love 30 okay love 30 love 30 as Pini serves d m returns pin swing volley that's a good shot m puts up another lob but this one doesn't go anywhere near the net 1530 I want M to beach Fon but sa but not sabano okay I can see see camping an NL fan no I'm a AFL fan Aussie football all the way rugby can get stuffed anyway match points for Muka 1540 to take a straight I mean very straight set straightforward win to be honest little chance at the start for Pini but other than that it is it has been very straightforward Pini serves a fault second serve second Ser at the forehand of M back in up palen is M forehand Inside Out winner wow muger is in the quarterfinals and she demolishes the two-time 2024 Grand Slam champ finalist Jasmine palini in straight sets 4 Z I mean if there's a boogie woman for palini it's Muka but Muka is not the only boogie woman for one person she's a boogie woman for everybody at this point all right GG's great win from m quarterfinals quarterfinals Muka wow now she's going to play the winner of hadaj meire and wasaki I mean hadaj meire wasaki Muka one of them is making the semis to place Fon Pula or Schneider or samsonova I mean okay that's I yes okay he you made the last year worst ever US Open bro you're looking at the wrong side you're looking you're not looking at you're look at the bright side mate by the way palini has had a great slam year she's I think won more matches than anybody else at slams two finals and two fourth rounds is amazing considering last year she was relatively unknown you know she was a good player but she wasn't um anyway anywhere near the player that she's now fourth run round open Final of French final of Wimbledon fourth round here I mean you can't really say that's not a bad that's you can't really say that's a bad year that's a that's a great year I mean again probably the most consistent Grand Slam Player of the Year P this year hell of a hell of a hell of a year all right chat we're going to merge the streams if you want to keep watching the uh this match between paga and Schneider you can jump on over advantage B we'll go through the preview in a second as well we're going to merge merge the streams Advantage boua as Pula serves to level this first set first Ser is a fault second serve second serve the for of m i sorry Schneider she hits it hard like m is we to for again Schneider's a winner jeez forgot that shers Lefty too all right Deuce we get the deuce G trying to get on the board serve again here's a fault second serve second set the back for of Schneider and then pagou in the net Advantage Schneider V Schneider sing the for of Schneider backing up from Pula Schneider's backand goes long back to deuce back to Deuce right back to Deuce Pula needs to reach a final if she wants to grab top three ranking does she all we can talk about that all right good serve there the return from Schneider and then Pula hits it down the line for a winner and it's Advantage Pula Advantage Pula first Ser is a f second serve Ser to the for of Schneider back into pager again the for of Schneider P's backand goes again the for of Schneider good shot down the line P gets it but it's in the net back to Deuce hubs Tommy Paul beats sinner you heard it here first okay uh okay all all right Deuce as we a four four hand rally again to the four back P slicing the net from Schneider and it's Advantage Advantage poua 8 Minute service game this one he just drinks Paul now did he really I don't think he did all right return goes into the back and of paga great shot to the slice of Schneider Schneider hits it out and it's one all all right you want to come over and watch the match you can if you don't we'll see you uh whenever but uh M wins three and three beats palini and she's in the quarterfinals mov is having a great return to tennis all right by the way Chad I just want to mention that I did say that that was going to happen so uh do I get a prize chat remember that time that I did predictions and I said that Muk was going to have an unsated run remember who remembers that anyone remember one in the chat if you remember me saying that in the predictions video remember that remember when I said that that M was going to have a run and you're all like ah she can't be she but she's got to play Osaka whoa she's got to remember that chat remember when I said that I should get five points for that I feel like that's a five pointer um all right who cannot remember that yeah remember that all right love 15 we're going to go round the uh so we're going to we're going to do the preview in a second of these two just to see what's up is we going to slice from Schneider goes out love 30 love 30 I don't remember that on purpose hey what are you talking about what do you mean all right first Ser is a f from Schneider second serve second Ser of the back for of paga for from Schneider the for of paga Schneider's backand goes to the for of paga down the line of the for of Schneider P slice Schneider with a slice forehand again in the back and paga Schneider on the stretch goes down the line great shot paga gets it but hits it long 1530 1530 schady goes out love 30 okay I think Schneider's been coached by eagle Andre who uh was a tennis player back in like the 2000s first Ser a f second serve second Ser double F there okay 1540 1540 serve great serve dty 3040 3040 still break point 3040 serve again is a f second serve to the for of paga for from Schneider to the back end of Pula Schneider's forehand goes in the net there's the break Thea breaks Thea breaks um all right now let's get the preview so Pula has not dropped a set this week she played a tiebreak against Kenan in the first set but she has not dropped a set for the entire week and Schneider has also not dropped a set all week uh in fact she hasn't even gotten to a tie break Schneider has been so good in this section of the draw we had both Collins and Bolter but they both lost rodano Kennan of course was that first round Pula took out Kennon eventually so yeah someone's going to lose a set today someone's going to lose two today someone's streak someone's o has got to go is that what they say all right Schneider 28 in the world she's 20 years old from Russia 5'9 right-handed she has got 42 wins 16 losses on the year that sounds like a lot has she really maybe three titles three titles this year as well and she has got uh some good form coming in as well has she anyway six number six in the world Pula she is 30 years old from the USA 5'7 right-handed 29 wins 10 losses on the a she has got two titles this year including the one in Canada back toback in Canada uh six titles in her career and her form has been great making the final of Cincy as well they actually played in Canada back uh a couple months ago a month ago and Pula won four and three okay love 15 pag with the break 21 as we Des serve now the return goes in the for paga and then Schneider hits wide 15 and all by the way we've got Draper coming up against uh mahat in a second so we'll keep an eye on that as well we're not going to watch that but but we are going to stay informed as a return goes into the net from Schneider and it's 305 315 first serve is a fault second serve down the T the back and Schneider return goes to for paga Schneider fall on the stretch paga goes long with the back hand it's 30 o 30 old yeah has sh have played that many win that many matches I mean I don't think she has she'd be top 10 if she was right unless she's played a lot of qualifier matches maybe yeah 42 and 16 this year so she has played that many matches but she's just probably played a lot of quales um that's actually insane 3040 break back Point yeah she she has played 46 matches not that many quales a couple of qualies here and there like qualies a St got qualies of Doha but she just cons like she's been I tell you she might be rookie of the year I mean is she Rookie of the Year she must be 3040 is she eligible for Rookie of the Year I'm don't know well she 19 right 4 sorry 20 years old she yeah she could be Rookie of the Year four goes cross cour the back in paga break point Schneider as paga hits a forand cross court Schneider with a slice and then no no goes over slice again from Pou as Schneider Cross Court P gets with the backand Schneider forehand down the line P puts up a l it's very high and it goes long back on serve 22 see Schneider's also play played Challenger events two Challengers and she won one of them made the final of another she started the year off losing three matches in a row then she won in hu hu huin she won she went the final of a Charleston Challenger she won a challenger just before the French Open in Paris and then she won bad on Berg she won Budapest she made the semis of Toronto I mean she's had a she's played so much tennis and won a lot of mat like she's won so much tennis you know all right forand in the net from oh sorry forand goes over the net from Schneider after hitting the tape bit of a drop shot P couldn't get it 15 love no no no not Charleston Charleston Challenger so not the not the big Charleston event the Challenger event Challenger uh the one it was before the CH before the actual event so no not she didn't win Charleston she won the mini Charleston event right serving the for of P return goes back in for of Schneider backing of p on the stretch Schneider hits it long and it's 1550 and0 15 all Schneider is 20 she just turned 20 15 all as Schnider serves a f second Ser as p on the attack puts away a forand winner 1530 B is 30 15 1530 as a return from paga goes in the back of Schneider great shot Schneider and B hits in the net 30 Old 30 is so old is it it's like a dead person well that's aggressive that's a little aggressive all right 30 all is with have fall out of the back end of Pula Schneider with the back end the back of paga p a winner [Applause] 3040 Jess has got 10 more more years experience than Diana yeah I see dead people okay 30 40 first serve is a fault second serve as the return goes into the for of Schneider forner from paga to the for of Schneider as paga for of the stretch Schneider with a slice and then paga in the net and we get to Deuce all right we get the deuce serve again here's a fault second serve is a let serve again as a return goes in the for of Schneider backing at Pula again the for of Schneider pula's backhand goes down line for a winner Advantage Pula beautiful shot down the line Advantage Pula first Ser is a fault second serve as a return goes in the back of Schneider backing UPA sliced Schneider for inside out up goes the lob from paga Schneider with the swing volley goes in the for of paga P hit a winner though too good break again 3-2 Gula takes the break all right okay three two all right um okay um sorry Chad I'm just trying to something out um all right 3-2 first set okay don't know if this is going to work I think it works anyways we'll figure it out later 32 [Music] 32 as the return goes out from Schneider 15 love 15 love Do you believe in the afterlife cam why you ask him this this question do I look like I know the answer to that question come on all right return goes into the for of Schneider Pula Schneider with a slice in the net and it's 30 love 30 love P Ser the F second serve as the return goes in the back and Schnider backing out sorry for G and Schnider in the net with the back end 40 love 40 love 40 love first Ser is a fault second serve do you think palini still deserves top five ranking yes as a return from Schneider's a winner 45 why why is it that whenever someone has a loss that's unexpected all of a sudden we all jump off like thinking like we all think it's a bad like we're like oh maybe she's not that good no palini is top five like she is yeah she is that good like she lost to Muka who made the semis last year Muka is much better than her ranking Pelini is exactly where she should be Muka is better than her Muk should be top 10 she should be top 10 and she would be top 10 if she didn't get injured 4-2 some people say Palina got lucky well those people are stupid some people are stupid all right some people don't understand all right some people are dumb anyone who thinks the Pelle got lucky is an idiot how do you luckily acci like you you're very lucky you made two back-to-back Grand Slam finals like no if she made one we could talk about it she made two grand slam finals in a row how's that lucky you don't get lucky two times in a like twice you know you don't get lucky in Grand Slams back to back like that's not a thing there's an element of skill that's involved like Pini got lucky anyone who says that's an idiot 42 and if you're listening and you are one of those people you know just just you know check yourself right and s in love as that goes out by Pula 15 15 all as a return goes in the back end of Schneider P the back hand to the front of Schneider getting the for paga SCH hits backand into the for of Pula but Pula hits wide 315 305 that's like saying El and are unlucky what do you mean Ser the t is a fault second serve second serve double fault 30 all let me just we'll go at the end of this game we'll go through pini's Grand Slam year because it's very impressive and it deserves to be acknowledged cuz it's been very impressive year 30 all first Ser is a fult second serve return goes into the forehand of Schneider P paga to the back and Schneider the slice of paga Schneider back and now from pag sliced deep into the for of Schneider and Schneider hits it out break point paga for a double break 30 40 3040 first Ser is a fault second serve as a return goes in the back in Schnider paga with the 4 line Schnider gets it but hits it out man paga is just so solid like so solid does not get flustered by the aggression of her opponent very often 5-2 so pini's Grand Slam yth 18 wins and four losses in Grand Slams that is insane she lost two she lost two um Shon at the French Kik Wimbledon Kalen sky in the fourth round of Australia and then Muk here so not bad kin sky and Muk both very can be both very aggressive so maybe there was that's the reason why she lost to those players on the hard courts earlier than the French and um you know and wimon but she's beaten reaka Keys Navaro putting s veage Andrea Pisa she actually uh sorry she beat P this week um she's beaten Schneider she's beaten andrescu twice sorry three times twice three times my bad three times beat onru three times this year so I mean some like haters will say she's only beaten one time top 10 player which was reak but that was in the quarterfinals of the French that was a massive win like her French Open run was not lucky that was a huge win her wimon road was a little bit easier but still uh beat Navar who beat goth she beat uh she beat keys but of course Keys got injured but still she got the win so it's a win she fought back uh in that final set to uh to at least level until Keys had to reti she beat on dra who had just beaten sabalenka so in the semis of the French um she probably should have won the wimon title against Kika but you know Kika too good it's one of the best Grand Slam Years you'll get without winning a slam it's probably one of the great greatest Grand Slam Seasons without winning the slam similar to probably jabber 22 what was jabber 22 because that remember she made two finals uh in 22 but obviously didn't win a title what was jabber's jabber's 22 season of grand slams was it better probably wasn't better it was worse 12 and three apparently wait that doesn't make sense oh she didn't play Australia that's why and she lost the first round of the French so jabber jabber's record in backto back and and jabber didn't beat the top 10 player to make both those finals so if you think palini is lucky then jabber must have been lucky in 22 but that's not accurate because jabber was number two in the world at the end of that run um on also won a 1,000 that year which palini is won a 1,000 right so that's a mini slam so I mean anyone who thinks Pine is lucky is ridiculous she made two major finals that's not bad exactly is Collins retired or is she playing the end of the year I think she's playing she's playing in a couple weeks she's playing um I think she's playing next week in guad Lara Collins is playing next week yes she's playing Jang saak ostapenko Collins Navaro kin Sky Azarenka and hadaj meire some of them won't play but they're all playing next week in in Mexico so Collins is not retired no she is still playing she just hasn't she's retired from Grand slams Collins is playing next week so don't you stress all right 30 old as that goes out by Pula 3040 break back Point 3040 3040 break back point for Schneider to get one of these breaks back as we a fult second serve yeah she also won a gold medal in the doubles of the Olympic she won uh Dubai yeah I mean she's had a great season all right four to four in rally as schider comes in with a four in Cross score backhand L from p uh from paga then Schneider hits another forehand and that's too strong okay break back through a 53 53 53 back to Schneider Draper M hatch both looking up for this one I tell you what if Draper loses that' be heartbreaking for the nation as that back end goes in by Schneider that's a beautiful pick up unbelievable 15 love but we got meev coming on against bores next so stay tuned for that cam is any recent is there any most recent improved any recent most improved players that are comparable to palini um I don't know I mean that's a good question I mean probably who was the most proed last year I can't remember 15 all all right return goes into the front of Schneider Pula pass is just wide just 305 305 305 as we get a let from Schneider serve again as return goes out by Pula 4015 what about reaker in 2019 2020 maybe Navaro improve I mean Navaro has got to be on the list of most improved this year for sure like that's definitely going to be uh she's definitely going to be on the list this year right but not I mean pal pal wins it that goes in the net from Schneider and it's 54 54 uh especially after the AO finals Jang has been showing up uh Jang had a terrible time after the Australian Open final to be honest I mean she wasn't good until I mean how long it was like there was months where Jang was losing first round of everything Indian Wells Miami she was losing she was terrible recently jang's been back on top but there was a definitely a hangover uh after the Olympics sorry after um Australia she made you byy quarterfinals lost to fonc okay she lost early in Indian Wales early Miami early stook guard early Madrid made the quarter quarterfinals of Rome third round French and then Wimbledon first round loss and then she made she won palmo she won the Olympics and then second round Cincy so it's been a roller coaster for Jang but the highs of the highs of overshadow the low so that's good you know we forget about all those losses when she wins a gold medal you know Jang was most improved player last year was she maybe nvar is horrible I won't forget what she did to Jung at the Olympics I don't it's not that deep it's not that deep Navar and Schneider would have won any other year yeah but this year because of palen's two grand slams that takes it that takes most improved you think jovic can retake number one next year maybe maybe there a find now from Pula into the for of Schneider paga hand goes across SC trying to win the set Schneider trying to avoid her trying to stop her from doing that as that goes out from Schneider 15 love 15 love serve again here's a fault second serve into the back end of Schneider Pula gets it back short and Schneider puts it away 15 oh 15 all you think demitro will qualify for the finals that'd be cool that'd be cool to see okay 15 all is with a fault second serve as a return goes in the back and Schneider slice from Pula into that Schneider backand paga goes Cross Court Schneider's got it with four down the line paga on the stretch again the back end of Schneider as P's 4 goes down the line there's a great shot Schneider slice goes in the for of pagou paga in the net 1530 this is getting really awkward this set 1530 1530 as we to return now out by Schneider and 30 cam what if Pini does badly at the end of year who cares she's had a great like what are you trying to do why are you trying to dis disregard palini tell me why and why you don't like what's going on I feel like you're saying people say that I think you're saying this what your beef with Pini tell me as we the four out of the for of Schneider 30 oh into the back end of Pula 4 from schneid that's a great shot break back Point 3040 I mean you keep asking me questions like cam do you think palini is a lucky like you're the only one asking those questions I haven't heard anyone else say that so I want to know from you why you don't like palini because that's a you thing I don't think nobody else is saying this come on now now I'm awake as it a f win of every to what's your problem with palini that's what I want to know I don't want to I don't your question I reverse your question where's the Uno cards I reverse your question and ask you a question what is your problem with palini come on back hand goes into the forehand of Schneider P hits a long vanish Schneider maybe you're a reaca fan you're angry about the French Open all right ADV vanish to get back on serve first Ser a f second serve second Ser to the back and Schneider return goes into the for of paga Schneider forand down the line Pula goes cross back back hand that's a good shot and Schneider pushes it wide on the forehand side and we're back we get to Deuce um noay deserved that gold was a beautiful see yeah it was like winning a slam for him of course it was it was the greatest moment of his life apparently he well he said that his words not mine as we get a let from a let from Pula as we to serve into the for Schneider return the ground Advantage Pula to take the first set match Draper 21 first set Advantage for Gula to take the first set serve is a fault second serve into the back of Schneider backing up from paga into the front of Schneider as pula's backand goes again the for of Schneider Schneider hits it out first set 64 Pula takes the first 64 okay Pelini is doing well in the community poll too is she what's going on with that now that it's been 24 hours what's going on with the poll wow who's vote who picked C did C win C should have won right um let me check all right say fion Player of the Year 44% sabala 22 wow palini 31 interesting Sabal Leno mean people forget that she made a lot of finals um but then so to Pini but not as you if savanga wins this tournament I mean that' be crazy and then whoa that's crazy C 40% 39% alaras that's 10,000 people voting too so that's that's not nothing okay a lot of people have something to say but I'm not going to read the comments because they can sometimes be be mean uh joov 18% that's about right that's about right slightly in favor of Cent and I agree I agree you're all Geniuses you're all so smart that voted for C anyone else I mean I I understand your reasoning even though I don't agree with it what's my bracket doing oh my bracket my bracket my bracket oh God Z Fritz I guess that Mev sinner not yet women's side uh yeah it's not great aink is still alive what else is going on um all right all right Schneider to serve 64 first set Draper down 3-2 but it's on serve so wouldn't be freaking out just yet now the team's doing all right chat but despite jovic Goff and Osaka losing we've still got M Pula Zev Sabal Lanka and cner so we still got a pretty good team going on um I'm a little annoyed that I put jovic as Captain I'm an idiot for that but that's right um I I you know Blind Faith but pretty good pretty good we're doing pretty good we still got five active players on week two that's pretty good not to mention you know Zev sin Sabal Lena Pula Mev all contenders so pretty happy with that 30 love 35 sorry usti has also had a good year improved his game a lot yeah he's definitely got to be a a contender for most improved all right second Ser the for pulaa hits it out the 4015 what's today Tuesday touching concrete no worries see you later Duty I went with C Al got two slams in Olympic final but invisible in other tournaments C was consistent I agree I wholeheartedly agree also I think s's had sner gets doesn't get noticed for his consistency cuz we only see the players that win big titles we forget that like we you know alcarez is been like this he'll win the Olympic or he'll win the something and then he'll lose second round and then he'll win something and then lose second round so but C has been just like he'll win and then he'll stay like he'll make at least the quarter finals you know like C doesn't have B hasn't had a bad loss all year and I think that that's for me that is more more telling than uh than someone who uh WI a couple slams and then disappears for a month but it is very close I mean it'll probably come down to how good C does here cner wins this tournament I think a lot of people say sinner is the is the best player on the you know the player of the year but if C makes the final and loses to verev that could be interesting okay one love Schneider as P the F second serve as Schneider with the first point L 15 uh two slams a silver medal clean Case Closed nope as it a four inside out to the back end that's a winner from Pula 15 all it's not a it's not it's not closed silver medal is a is a runner up remember that so losing at the French Open is basically as good as the Silver it's a runner of trophy all right Chad is the is it okay we got to we got to get this right because it might affect the it might affect the uh the play of the year uh you know award is a an Olympic gold medal worth is it a 500 or is it a Grand Slam in your sorry is it a 500 or 1,000 in your eyes is it a 1,000 event or is it a grand or is it a 500 what do you think it is what do you is is how what and this is like a personal thing you can you don't have to like be you just think like I don't see it as serious or I think it's a 1,000 like you can do whatever you want how important is it it's a 1,000 so if it was if it was worth points in rankings would you give them a th000 points for the win I could give them that in between a 1,000 Grand Slam okay 750 all right so you're all saying 1,000 all right so it it's worth a th000 points then if it was worth rankings I guess um all right I could uh get on board with that I could agree all right for in the backhand rally as Pula goes down the line beautiful shot not gets it and Pula puts away the smash Great Rally all right a love 15 as that goes out from Pula 15 o as as that goes into the net from Schneider and it's 1530 1530 as a return goes out by Pula 30 30 o as we get a return from Schneider to the for of poua Schneider the back the stretch Pula Cross Court Schneider goes down line with the back end Pula sliced into the for of Schneider Schneider puts it away 4030 4030 4030 as a return goes into the for Schneider forer from on the stretch schneid goes again the back for Pula for from sh down the line the net we Deuce um okay interesting yeah I still got CER as number one like it's not like for me it's not even close it's not even close and C might even just like if he wins the US Open I mean it might not even be a contest Player of the Year might not even be competitive I know algor fans hate to say hate to hear it but again it's about consistency you know you got to be good for the whole year all right V Schneider you've got to be every tournament you play you've got to be good you can't have bad weeks if if someone else is having like perfect like sin's being the played the best tennis like the best he's been the most consistent this year 100 million per. and yeah you get extra points for making for winning big trophies but you don't but you don't like the small trophies that Sinners won is adds up and the you know semi-finals and finals add up you know alres wins wimon but C wins Miami hel and rdam it's the same thing so three titles and to one the same amount of points you know so not to mention he's made semi-finals consistently which earn a lot of points too right whereas you know you don't earn points for losing second round you get like 10 points if you lose to ma in in in ciny you're not getting that many points you know you know what I'm saying you know as Advantage for Gul and again that's not not to say that what ELR has done this year is not great but it's not as it's not he's not Player of the Year back and return for Schneider great shot p with slice Schneider forehand again the slice paga L goes up and long and Schneider hangs on um but that could change if sin loses today and then alcarez wins after this it could be interesting there's still two months or three months left there's still a lot of season left but September 2nd Yanik sinner good serving from uh Schneider and Van Schneider we return now from paga into the slice of Schneider Schneider the net back to Deuce who votes on this the players uh player of the year is basically just the ATP picking someone I think um but yeah but we'll we're going to do it we the way I do it is I let you guys vote CU I have my prediction like my pick but I'm not going to you know but also uh you know you guys are the the ones that ultimately vote for it as we had a winner from Pula lady SJ don't get so triggered algr fans just relax I know you get a lot of [ __ ] from jovic fans but I'm not saying alcarez sucks all right I'm saying that sin's been better doesn't don't take algr fans don't react don't get so offend I'm not I'm not tearing him down I'm not tearing him down like you I know I know I know that Elis gets a lot of [ __ ] because certain fan groups don't like him because certain fan groups get scared that he's going to beat them I I know how it is but I'm not one of those people I'm not tearing elas down I'm saying sin has been better it's a difference there a difference advantage to Schneider and I'm not pumping up C like oh C's my favorite player and blah blah blah I'm just looking at it OB objectively and going well this guy's won a lot more consistently and the other guy he's had his great moments but he's also had his terrible moments like Al's been a roller coaster so I need to go with the guy that's been consistently good and jovic isn't even close so I mean you know come at me bro Olympic gold medal doesn't give you you don't get player of the year for winning one thing sorry you're out anyways in the net from Schneider back to Deuce really not convinced that's because you're an alcr fan you're not no matter what I say you're not going to change your mind it's fine and that's fine you're going to it's like the jovic fans that think he's player of the year right then no matter what I say no matter what happens your guy is going to be play of the year and I respect that but I'm trying to look at it like as objectively as I can I have no favorites here I don't think I like eles I mean if you watch me watch elarz I mean you you know how much I watch out I'm looking at it objectively as I can and sin has is CER is the player of the year as we return out the forehand of Schneider for now from Pula Schneider goes down line pag on the stretch Schneider with the slice Pula goes again the back Schneider into the back and paga sliced again as schneid hits in the net back to D this is a marathon game isn't race of the finals indicator on Whose Player of the Year it's clearly cner well that helps I guess all right Deuce serve again is a fault second serve second serve to the back end of paga four now from Schneider into the front of PAG Schneider's backand into the for of pagou schn with the for of the stretch goes in the net and it's Advantage poua yeah look I get that he's won two grand slams but there's again it's not Grand Slam Player of the Year it's Player of the Year 1,000s count 500s count right though everything it's every tournament not just Grand Slams as that goes out by Pula well I get it two slams bigger than one blah blah blah I get that but it's not based on two tournaments it's or three tournaments it's based on a Year's worth of events it's not based on four tournaments or five if you put the Olympics in if it was alarz no doubt alarz would be player of the year if it was only Grand Slams 4 on back end rally Schneider hits a long Advantage go no I wouldn't I would I would be like alrez is the player of the year he's great look how about this alrez is Grand Slam player of the year if C wins this we have a chat but still at this moment elris is the Grand Slam Player of the Year easy as would sered now as a f second serve second serve double fault break all right P the set Draper won the first set 63 nice all right first set in the bag for uh sorry Draper and P per Center break why would I take their head-to-head into account that's got nothing to do with play of the year it's got to do with like who's better between the two that's different why would I D why would I go with head tohe head that's got nothing to do with how they perform week in week out they don't play each other every week do you really think they're going to give sin that title after sto tobaku I don't think it's bad Optics why because he was he was innocent I don't understand he didn't get C was C didn't I don't why would they do that why wouldn't they do that of course they're going to give him play of the year sinner did zero time he did nothing wrong as proven in a court of law why would they not give sinner any like why would they not like pumping sin up doesn't there's nothing wrong with that you know what I'm say like there's nothing wrong with that the ATP are going to give c a player of the year if he deserves it because he was not there was nothing wrong he did nothing he did he did the again he hired someone who made a mistake that's the thing he did just incredible hasn't uh hasn't lost a set yeah P hasn't lost a set all right back to the tennis back to the m i take the hint chat shut up all right 2-1 21 Pula as with a back in from Schneider but it's a let 21 as for return to the for of Pula Schneider forehand to the back of Pula and Schneider puts away the volley no paga gets there but puts it wide love 15 sin should not get pay of the year if sin's pay of the Year chat I don't want to hear anyone crying right who should be coach of the year that's a better question love 15 jovic right because he won the gold medal with no coach so he wins it jovic coach of the year because he coached himself to a Olympic gold I mean that's pretty crazy right double FAL I love 30 there right am I right Chad right all love 30 love 30 a out wide 1530 1530 S at the four of Schneider Schneider hits It Out 3 go sin's coach dior's coach yeah I don't know serve as a fault second can serve uh yeah P's ex coach is with big fo now yep all four to four rally as that goes down the line from paga that's out 3040 break point Schneider to get back on serve straightway 30 40 3040 return goes long good serving from Pula who wins podcast of podcast of the Year Cirus or rodic rodic Cirus doesn't have a podcast he just has a YouTube show where he does interviews and stuff all right F goes long by Schneider and it's Advantage Pula obviously rodic obviously me I don't have a don't have a podcast advantage poua and an ace all right 3-1 good hold good hold he does have a podcast though what's it called catch of the year is the tennis yeah catch of the year is right here you're a close second regard cam regarding the matches what are you talking about matches all right schneid serves as return goes in the four of Schneider for backing for G Schneider puts it away 15 love 15 love 15 Love servs Again a fault good trouble with Cirus that's not is that a podcast I don't think it's a podcast that's a TV show I don't think that's a podcast backhand return goes in the forehand of Schneider great shot down the line 30 love um I wouldn't consider curios doing a podcast because he doesn't do it every week it's more of a TV show and episodes just come out randomly podcast is like more what rodic does for sure as it return wide 4 love I think Kos is is a show not a podcast like call it a video podcast or series no it's not a podcast I don't think well it could be I mean look what's a podcast it could be anything but I would I would I would not consider that the same like it's not like a weekly three times a week kind of thing it's more of a TV show or a uh doesn't feel it doesn't feel the same as like a a podcast too it's too produced too polished it's too nice you know it's too uh it's too produced you know it's a it's a very nice highly edited uh production it's not a couple of microphones and two people speaking you know like it's very professional anyway 32 in the second but it's still anotic um you know anyway it's called a YouTube show yeah it's more of a YouTube show cam which of the ladies do you think Shon prefer to play not sabano dra is cruin is he to love yep in a med Zer final who are you going with to be honest I don't care I wouldn't care who wins it's a win-win for uh for for tennis I think Z getting his first medy getting his second I wouldn't care pardon me have I heard of the tennis podcast yeah I have I listen to them sometimes like every now and again it comes up but um yeah tennis podcast are good I do I I don't again I don't have time to listen to and chat if I'm watching tennis 13 hours a day I don't have I I don't want to listen to podcasts about tennis the other eight hours I've got to you know the other couple hours I stay awake like once I'm done on stream I'm like I want to go play I want to go play Mario I want to go watch you know I want to go watch you know twitch streamers eating hot wings like I I don't want to I don't want to listen to you know listen to uh listen to tennis um you know other people talking about tennis it's good I'm good I've got I've got my tennis fix right but every now and again it does come up they they are good Tenn I do like tennis podcast they have a good I think they they actually bought up the uh we talked about last night the um the late night finishers they I heard them talk about it uh on in a clip on uh on Instagram and and I was like that's a great point you know that tennis glorifies late finishes you know and it's like yeah that it shouldn't why is it like that why are we finishing at 3: in the morning you know that shouldn't be a it's crazy um and I look and another one I love listening to nothing major podcast cuz that's hilarious cuz they're just like they're just making jokes like they're not really they're talking a little bit about the tennis but they're kind of just talking about their you know they're just kind of making jokes about things you know all right 30 love good serving from from Pula the only tenis Channel I've found is Cam as it came up on my recommended after subing to roic oh nice welcome you should make a podcast I don't want to I'm a I consider myself a streamer like I'm not like there's a back end winner from Pula 40 love and also there's enough you don't need look you've got there's enough podcast out there you know you got Andy r got tennis podcast you got whatever you want like you know whatever it is you don't need me to bloody say the same things that everyone else is saying Gil's great you know Gil's got his Monday morning um podcast right yeah there's there's enough out there you don't need another you know what you need you want a live we got a live experience here this is what I'll do this I'll do this I already fill enough of your time if you stay here all day you got 8 hours every day of the of the next 3 weeks of me all right you don't need another 30 Minute Podcast you got enough time you get sick of me already uh 4015 sir there an ace 42 that's only tennis related I mean you might listen to other podcast of other stuff too right of other sports or other topics so you don't need me to feel up another hour of your day you already got you already get so much bloody live streams and we already answer all the questions that I'd probably talk about in the podcast anyway um Joe Rogan takes it yeah I mean I listen to Joe Rogan when I when something interesting comes up like he talks to someone interesting like when he talked to Adam Sandler that was fun all right 15 love I watch I I watch Twitch and Listen to Like Music whoever said M hatch was a lock owes me money don't listen to the chat don't take my advice all the had chat advice what are you talking about but come on that was your first [Laughter] mistake your podcast are like a live Q&A yeah it's kind of yeah I mean unintentionally it is 15 all as we just slic out to the forehand of Schneider lob goes up from Pula Schneider with a drive volley winner 35 intuitive tennis is my fa I I have come across him a couple of times lately um I don't know his name I'm so sorry I feel I feel bad but he yeah I've seen his stuff a little bit a lot especially with like um the rublev default I remember when he I listened to him talk about that and I was very much on the same page like there's a lot of like I think we would get along as we had a winner from paga 30 um yeah the intuitive tennis part I think a he does coach he was doing coaching stuff and he's like kind of coaching he does tennis coaching and like tennis professional tennis videos yeah I've liked his I've listened to some of his stuff you yeah it's uh and I tend to agree with pretty much most of what he says as that goes along from Pula 430 um he seems like a very logical anyone who's logical and like has like that's how I think of things I think of things logically I try not to keep I take emotions out of it and try and keep it logical as we to fall now into the back end of Schneider Schneider hits out we go Deuce you know and I look at like I try and look at like data and facts and then go make an opinion on that like with with sinner being Player of the Year that's not an emotional prediction that's a it's a it's I hope a logical one so anyone who's logical um I uh I can understand which is why I um it's probably why I'm meaning like a lot of the predictions that like I have are very similar to Gil because I think Gil thinks it's Sim way drop shot there into the slice of Schneider and then pagul hits a backhand pass and Schneider can't Vol it away Advantage Pula we saw okay except when an Australian plays and then I lose my okay except when Aussie's a planer right or Dasher right okay I but I admit that I admit when I'm when I'm not logical and I'm you I except for that I admit when I'm being biased right when I'm clearly rooting for the Australians I think we should all we all know that logic out the window right Advantage Pula first there's a fault all when kazak Keen is playing all right but other than that the rest of the time I try I'm I try to be logical in the net from Schneider for is going to serve the match these matches have been pretty straightforward so far I'm all I'm fine with that don't I don't need to change don't change it's [Applause] fine you would have predicted Eon to be jovic no no no I'm not that I'm might look I might be I might be patriotic but I'm I stupid you know like I picked jovic to beat Poppy I wasn't like you know totally delusional but also I was happy to be wrong dra holds three love in the second nice do you think anyone can play tennis with being trained or coached Etc do you think anyone anyone can play tennis with being trained or coach ex or do you think it's eight I mean look there's there's a you got to be you got to I think at the end of the day with tennis a lot of things come down to luck tennis is so hard to be one of the best players you know there's so many people trying to be the best players it's ultra competitive it's International right and I think there's there's a fraction of luck you know maybe you join the you know join the right tournament the right time you know obviously hard work is a Hu the harder you work the luckier you get right I believe that so if you work if you're working your ass off you're putting everything into it and you're doing all the tournaments and you're playing weekend week out you're training and you're lucky enough not to get hurt right you you stay healthy then you got a better chance right but it's also like you know maybe you get maybe that you know it's not just one tournament that makes you a pro right you got to it's consistency but again it's just that you know maybe get a little lucky maybe you get maybe you get a a good draw in a tournament that gets you certain amount of points to get you qualify for this and that you know you know luck definitely will play a part in anything right it took me three tries to get into University three years it took I was I signed up got re first one I signed up it was too late sign up was was closed so I didn't get in second year I signed up and I didn't sign up I didn't get the uni that I wanted so I didn't go third year signed up put all the Unis that did universities that did uh that did architecture first preference said no second said no third said yes problem was the third one was 2 hours away and I had to drive there 3 days a week so I picked that one so I got in and then I qualified I you know whatever um yeah qualified for my degree so again a little bit of luck and persistence and hard work you know but it doesn't guarantee you'll get there but you could still you could still be if you want to play tennis for a living and you break even to the end of it you know if you're not doing it for you know millions of dollars and riches and fame or whatever and you're just doing it for the because you want to be a tennis player for your career do that you know you find away 35 a fault from paga two points away 305 server to the forehand of the back of Schneider Schneider hits it out geez chat these you know the matches are going fast and one-sided when we're talking about random things we got meev coming up next against B first time we're watching medy this week uh 45 paga serves and a to finish wow Jessica B is in the quarterfinals now she's never made a semi of a slam but she is there again and they uh give a nice little handshake they were in the same outfit not the sleeves just the uh just the dress today no sleeves bring back the sleeves Jess bring back the sleeves for the quarterfinals dress like the superhero you are come on all GG's four and two easy peasy so now Shon versus samsonova winner plays Pula which is what we thought at the start of the week would be the case uh Muka will take on the winner over DM and wasaki so the draw is getting a little interesting so uh shanek Pula could be the match and that I mean that match has been interesting and it could be interesting uh this week as well tough for Pula you know another it's like Ruble playing jovic in a grand slam quarterfinal it's like man that's just unlucky but who knows who knows all right chat I'm going to send you over the next one we're going to watch m versus Borges over here there you go there you go uh I'm going to continue this uh this day it's been very very relaxing I've had a very nice time we just been able to shoot the [ __ ] we haven't have to haven't had to uh stress too much but next match is going to be a five Setter so uh be ready for that it's going to be a long five Setter probably as well uh 4 and two the GS in the quarterfinals of the US Open again should take on the winers fonc Samson over that's coming up tonight uh we've got Draper up 4-1 in the second he is Wrecking M hatch at the moment also Battle of the Aussies coming up later as well center tonight against Paul so much more tennis still to go me coming up next [Music] [Music] [Applause]
