how's the hair looks great all right good all right awesome well welcome back to sports forensics and picks I'm Matt Corbett alongside John Patterson and uh we are doing our first official NCAA football video which is very exciting uh there were some games last week on Thursday as well as yesterday night today is Friday and there are a few games on the Slate one in particular that is really catching John's eye and that game is TCU at Stanford take it away John what do you think well this is interesting there's so many new things this year um Stanford's at home a place they haven't won at since let's see 2022 if they actually won there in 2022 they got blank they were 0 and seven at home last year this is just a really horrible team um not really a great program I mean they're more known for basketball obviously but um you gota one thing that's new about Stanford this year they are in a new conference they're no longer in the Pack 12 in fact there's now a total of two teams in the Pack 12 they're the Tupac we'll call it Tupac uh Oregon State and and Washington State that's all you got that's so good what do they call him the Big East the Big E dude that's great Tupac and Biggie Tupac and Biggie can't can't beat it there we go you heard it here first yeah right mat so that uh Stanford then see you like TCU or I think the line's minus 8 and a half for TCU huh no no it's the very first game for a program and a school and just a an institution as large as Stanford they're not going to go to the ACC the Atlantic Coast Conference did they move they're in the ACC Stanford know they're still in Pao Alto but um yeah they are in the ACC now and obviously USC UCLA Washington Oregon all these big schools they all bolted from the former uh you know pack 10 which became the Pack 12 now they're Tupac that's classic so I don't see them losing that game I see you know it's a new beginning they're at home um don't be shocked at all to see not not just cover yeah the a smart bet is taking Stanford and the eight and a half points um but I am all over the money line now I I think of my brother Scott you know he made more money on my picks than I did I would be on a game like this and only bet the money line where he would put at least twice as much on the points as he would on the money line and sometimes he'd win on both and rake other times he would end up a net winner when I would be a net loser off of my pick and so uh obviously uh don't be afraid of the money line look for the victory I mean they could tear down the field goal post afterwards I mean geez they haven't won there in a long time and it's got some you know rabid liberal types in Stanford so yeah they're gonna let off some steam tonight it's gonna be a good game I look forward to it all right well that sounds like it could be an incredible game and an incredible upset and a good fresh start for Stanford I like it it is plus it started at plus 300 on the money line it's now down to between plus 260 and plus 270 so I think the wise guys are on it too um it's just one of those historical games I'm real big on uh historical moments like the first game with a a brand new head coach who's really good or uh you know a a new player that's transferring over to another team there's always certain moments where you know sometimes the history is more important than the game or the x's and the o or the O's or the W so to speak and I think that that's one of these games so I look for Stanford to start off with a little bit of excitement for their program uh their boosters and their fans I like that well great take here from John Patterson thank you buddy appreciate it and video very soon about the uh the Full Slate Saturday so that'll be great as well make sure you check that out make sure you like subscribe and comment share all the good stuff uh thanks a lot for being with us appreciate it
