Western Michigan preview thoughts for the Wisconsin Badgers football team! Tyler Van Dyke thoughts!

what is up Badger fans we are a couple days away from football uh we're going to talk Western Michigan what do we need to see Rie night and we're going to talk maybe one of the secret sauces to this better yes I mean generally yes and I do I do believe it is because it's the only time of the year where your teams have hope absolute 100% hope there's no one that can tell you they might they might think you're wrong but no one's going to tell you that you're definitely wrong because it hasn't happened yet so you just got to believe you're like Mario you've eaten the mushroom you're firing Fireballs everywhere you're stomping on glomas like this is like Prime regim um let's get into Western Michigan um not a great team four and eight last year it was a first year coaching staff they should be a little bit better they still have an over under of I think five and a half is what I saw with the max schedule this is a team we should beat so it's not really about are we going to win or not what do you need to see to feel good I need to see a lot actually just because last year the Buffalo game left a really sour taste in my mouth and just I mean it was fine but it wasn't what we really wanted to to come out and see so first and foremost I want to see our yards per carry numbers be proper and I want to see us dominating the line of scrimmage and really the trenches on both sides um this is a team that we need to be dominating in all fastes of the game but so much of last year whether it was the Buffalo game or other games there was no Comfort level that we were going to go down the the field and score offensively I want to feel that Comfort I want to see that things are clicking timing routes are right um and that we're actually just doing the things we need to do everything's not gonna be perfect because it's game one but running the ball blocking getting K yards per carry is something that really should be working right away and that's something I want to see the other thing that I want to highlight right now is formations we've talked a lot about what we want to see with trch and Pauling this is a good game to try out some things I want to see some double slots I want to see trch and and Pauling on the field at the same time and let's see how easy or difficult it's going to be to get people open in that situation I think both of those guys are can get open almost at will and when you have both of them on the field like that and you've got the outside guys to spread things out I feel like that's really where we can do a lot of our damage in that mid-range slot and I want to see both of them out there at the same time those are two things specifically that I'm like I want to see yards per carry be proper really dominating up front and let's see some double slots I love the word proper it sounds very like English very proper or a proper Wisconsin rushing attack you not something like sub five sub four and a half I don't want to see yards per car that I want to see six six and a half that does sound proper I I wonder from a just a schematic standpoint how much they're gonna show right like I I do think you're gonna see Pauling and TR obviously play together because it's not like you also want to get reps in situations trch just played game last year but I do think they're going to keep some they're obviously going to keep some stuff under the hood um so I am interested in seeing formations um this is something I talked a little bit with Coach Anderson but I want to that deeper on this point I just want to see Annihilation like I I just want to see this again like this is a team if you go back into history this is like the the Germanic tribe that a Roman legion just rolls over like I just want to see pure domination I want to see line of scrimmage I want to see pressure on third down um and then I want to see clean football like that's the other thing right I want us to see us physically just dominate this opponent but then I don't want to see the formational penalties I don't want to see the draw passes I don't want to see van dijk forcing a a a bad decision against an inferior opponent just just because right clean football I'm so into that yeah I mean obviously I think we all want to see that I think that part of that though with it being game one are you concerned that your expectations are going to be are you're setting yourself up to miss on those expectations because in week one you're going to see some of that stuff you're going to see some snap penalties you're going to see so for me I'm like I'm trying to think about like okay I know I'm not going to see perfect football but what can I see and what should I see and you're right about hiding things we're not going to put a bunch on film but I think it's an opportunity to get I mean look if you look at these games like glorified scrimmages which they're not but they are they should be in a sense then it is time to really to utilize those things and see okay how do these things work against real teams right can we can we do this formation can we can we set this kind of Route tree up to where we can actually make things work it's just I like the idea of trying some things not putting a bunch on film yes but trying some things but yeah I would be weary of of U just saying I want clean football because that's just not gonna happen man it's game one no I hear you and that that's a very good point it's a very good point when I say clean football I more mean like if the ball hits you in the hands you got to catch it you think back to the Buffalo game right it's the things that even in week one as as an upper classman experiened team which we're going to get into a little bit in the next segment like I don't want to see Nelson just fall starting a couple times to me to me even in week one those things should be avoidable um but you're right like this team is not going to be as good in week one as theoretically should be in week 12 it should be cleaner in week 12 but I don't want to see last year's Buffalo version of clean football right agreed agreed and I think we'll see a lot of that and one of my other ones that I want to bring up the defensive side of the ball is Miss tackle percentage because that you've heard me talk about this it drives me nuts I last year we saw a ton of that early and we know that fickle brought in Li practices right he's done a lot more live work with the team and I feel like that is something that cannot happen and I don't care that it's week one you need that Miss tackle percentage needs to be under 10% I don't want to see some nonsense 15 20 percent it should be hopefully less five six seven something in that range like we have to make tackles and we have to show that we're going to be that kind of a team year we're going to talk about our next segment but we know that we have an experienced secondary like those guys need to make tackles I don't want to see a bunch of misses and I don't expect it with especially guys with wler and zachman starting um but yeah that's something that I'm going to be looking out for very very early on in this game let me flip the defense with you um you mentioned a proper Wisconsin rushing I want to see a proper Wisconsin Rush defense there you go I made that note there I want under uh for Western Michigan I W under three yards a carry and this is this is a western Michigan team that actually can kind of like if they could do one thing last year a little bit it kind of was run the ball they have some of that back they have a really good Center a pretty good guard um but quite frankly you look at our schedule this is not like it's G to be a harbinger of some dangerous things if Western Michigan is able to come out and run for the four yards a carry 4.1 3.9 right that that translates to a higher number when you're playing Bama Iowa Oregon so I want to see you mentioned domination Aline of scrimmage this plays into that I want to see the rush defense just quite simply not allow Western Michigan to move the ball in the air and then that ties into my next thing last year's third down defense for Wisconsin wasn't good and that's partially because of pass rush it's it's partially because of I mean primarily to me was because of pass rush when we do stop them on the run this game which is one of my keys one of the things I want to see then I want to see those those those Panthers off the edge like I want to see those guys we talked about those Blitz packages the pressure let's get off the field on third down this year because that was a major struggle last season yeah very good point and that's something that we have to see improve one of my other ones sort of along those same lines about the the controlling the run is linebacker speed specifically on the outside um that is just it was such a glaring weakness of our team last year and we don't we shouldn't on paper have that problem with guys like Pas and Lowry and P and steps that Peterson has made I feel like we should have some speed out there on the outside and I want to see it big time in this game like I've got to see speed sideline to sideline speed getting out there shutting down those edges like we have to be able to do that because like you said you don't do it in this game Alabama's going to run you off the off the map yeah quick quick question for you because I I feel like the first game of the year is because we haven't seen so many of these guys in a real game some of them in forever right because they've been on other teams or they they're freshman but some of them since last year and it feels like Christmas morning you're opening it up you're seeing what all these guys look like for the first time give me really quick one offensive guy and one defensive guy that you cannot wait to open up that present on Friday see what they look like well it's trch even though technically he was on the team last year but not really being an actual receiver for this team regularly that number one for me and on this opposite side of the field it's Pas because we've heard a lot about what he can do you've you've seen him at practice um and I want to see what it translates to on those plays when he's actually out there either trying to make a run trying to get to the outside trying to sack like I want to see what it looks like in real speed against offensive linemen because that's going to tell me so much about the future of this team this season yeah Pi is a great one I would say him or Thomas for me on the linebacker side and then offensively it's it to me it's just van djk like I'm just fascinated by what he could do in this offense if we get that that rard freshman version of Van djk um like he fascinates me let me give you a stat I'm looking for two of them these are Van Dyk stats that I want to see I want to see at least two 35 yardish Plus passing passing plays completed I want to see his push the ball um I again that was such an issue for us last year I want to see that and then I want to see his yards per attempt at around eight yards per attempt as a I wrote down I wrote down nine oh Nine's listen Mory was 6.6 last year um mine would be amazing in this game in this game you would expect it to be better sure I I'll I'll set the floor at eight like I we got to see more shots more aggressiveness more ability to push the ball down the field and you're right he was at I think 9.1 his red shirt freshman year at Miami n it was nine then it was 7.3 then 8.1 he's capable of it we need it Mora had 6.6 last year not good enough yeah it's funny I said nine in this game because it's Western Michigan now for the season if it was eight that's fine eight. 8.2 8.3 would be great uh but I want nine in this game and this is my bonus one this is the one I wrote down extra one so our last year our fourth down percentage was abysmal it was 25% I want to see us going for it on I don't want to see us punting the ball in situations when like we I if it's fourth and one fourth and two can we please just get back to dominating that line of scrimmage and getting that fourth and one like I don't I used to never even think about fourth and one I'm like yeah that's no problem give it to the running back we're going to get a yard last year I was on pins and needles and the the percentage be that out so in this game I want to see us go for fourth down and I want to see us have a serious four down percentage whether it's 60% in this game 80% in this game we need to go for it a couple times and we need to honestly just get them fourth down will crush you in this league with the schedule that we have we're going to need to do it there's going to be be key situ situations we need to be able to rely on our offensive line and our running backs to get us that one two yards has to happen that's a great point that that was a that was a big issue last year and you got to think this year man with with the veteran offensive line as long as they can stay healthy and then you have uh tywi Walker and Jackson AER you have two powerful big-time running backs and you have a veteran offensive line and by the way you have a quarterback who is that's a bigf frame quarterback if you're trying to just do some type of halfback lead and and run Van Dyke up underneath that like they got to they got to convert better there and I think the Personnel to do it um man we could go on this subject the whole day I have one more bonus one yeah the last thing I want to see we'll swap here because then we got we got a bunch we want to get into today today's a loaded show I want to see backups I want to see backups by the third quarter not not just because I think we're really excited to see some of those guys like we want to see some of that young Talent this is a long season they don't need this the starting offensive line defense line those starting running backs they don't need to be taking shots in the fourth quarter week one against Western Michigan so that's where I'll leave it I want to see backups yeah I hope you're right on that I just I get so weary about like expecting that to happen because if that happens where we're winning by 30 plus points which would be great and I hope that happens but I also am like I don't want to set myself up to be upset if we only win by 25 or and we don't have that dominant like 60 to3 win because like I don't want to set that up for oh man like we're gonna be bad this year or whatever like I I want to give some Grace and understand that it's week one I want to see a good performance solid performance proper as you as as I pointed out earlier but I don't need to see it 63 I don't need to see that I just want to see us have a very good convincing win and set the season off right and week one Western Michigan too right I mean they're starting off at the same experience level coming into the year so they would they should have the same type of early season Jitters mistakes all right we do need to take a quick break there we're going to come back and talk about what I kind of Wonder might be some right let's let's get into this next bit that I'm actually really interested to chop up with reie I was sending you a message and you and I have talked about secondary before as one of the reasons I thought Xavier Lucas has to play this year because the secondary is full of red shired seniors that are going to be gone they're going to want to get them reps but if you look at the the rest of the roster Reeve that's like every position on the team it's kind of scary it's really kind of scary yeah I tweeted this the other day about not only the so basically every starter in the secondary every starter is is going to be gone next year because hollman's a junior but he's gonna be gone let's be honest three of the three of the backups are also G to be gone next year like it is really gonna be a year where we have a ton of experience hopefully we can execute on that we can actually do something with it but boy are we going to lose a lot after for the season we're really going to lose a lot and yeah let me dive into the numbers for everyone um and this is I kind of wonder if this angle isn't played up enough because this team is going to be one of the most experienced teams in the Big 10 if you just look at the roster if you look at the two deep usually experienced teams win like if this team overachieves this year I think this might be one of the reasons why you look at Van dijk's a senior tywi and chz seniors um Bryson's a senior Vinnie Pauling and CJ are all Juniors pauling's a junior that offensive line Nelson Senior Broner rard Senor Huber red shirt senior mman redirt Jr reiv eight out of the 13 guys in the two deep on offense are seniors or red shirt seniors and basically the rest of them outside of Brun are all Juniors and then you look in defense it's the exact same thing nine out of 12 of them are seniors out of the guys in the 2D it's a remarkable amount of upper classman on this team right now I think one of the things that one of the reasons that we probably aren't talking about it very much is because we brought in a transfer quarterback because that kind of changes the perception of an experienced team because we're not experienced because the head of our team sort of like the guy on a football team is the quarterback the most important position in maybe all of sports like when that person is changing over you just don't feel like that experience is there so I think you lose some of that experience like that that if you want to sort of say okay we can achieve this because of our experience you lose some of that because of Tyler van djk being a transfer quarterback now you're right he has the experience but not necessarily with this team and I feel like the experience meter in General kind of takes a hit with all the transfer portal stuff too right because we haven't seen our linebackers play together right we we haven't seen we certainly haven't seen the quarterback we haven't seen Tye Walker play with with with this whole line so there's there's so many pieces that are brought in that it's really hard to quantify experience because you don't have the old days of yeah you've got all these seniors that means they've been all playing together for years that's just not the case anymore so that does sort of tamper tamper it down a little bit yeah and I think that's a fair point like you do have to fit pieces into places right schemes are a little different situations are a little different I think that's a fair point But ultimately there's still guys that have all played three four years of football right and and even to a further point they're all guys that are men at they're all 22y old 21y old physically developed guys that have been through years and years of strength and conditioning programs I I just think and I agree like it's got to fit together and it's not a guarantee but you start looking across this roster and you compare it to other schools one of the things we always talk about Iowa so experienced look at that experience and right they're in the same system and I I talk about that I think that's a huge advantage to Iowa man there is a lot of grown men on this roster and a lot of people have played a ton of football I think it might be kind of a hidden Advantage here um and even even some of the transfers a guy like Jem Thomas was in The Trestle system right um guys like Pauling were in The Trestle system I transferred last year obviously but there's some interesting connections there that probably eases that a little bit yeah I mean I think that you're right I mean if you look at the one of the key stats you look at every year about okay so last year we did this next year we're doing this it's returning starters you always look at returning starters because in the college game you've got you know after four years you're gone so you've got the more experienced team you are you're goingon to be playing teams that are less experienced that just don't have that and yeah there is a ton of Advantage when you have that senior lad in team just kind of sets things up for a disaster not disaster but a super scary situation in future years especially in the secondary as we've talked about but yeah I mean you're right it could definitely be our secret weapon if you will although how secret really is it but yeah you've got a lot of players and if it fits together I guess that's where you know people have joked with me and and and sort of given me crap about how I set the ceiling at 11 and one on this team which I don't think that's my record my record PR eight and four but but this is the kind of thing that can happen when you have your three toughest games at home you've got a senior your Laden team with a ton of experience if things fit into place and if the team jals and if you get Tyler van djk of freshman year Miami then you can see how that experience translates into potential huge wins for the program yeah do you think and this is impossible to fully answer because we have no idea a what this season's going to look like and we have certainly no idea what the offseason's gonna look like especially in today's world of college football but I almost wonder if this year is a better chance to achieve a big Mark than next year and I think bans have been looking at it as a very linear stairs right year one of fle this seven wins year two we're going to get a little better year three we're going to build on that because and really next year we wrote it out we're we're losing in the two deep we're losing 17 seniors you know and we like with we like the young talent but next year could be almost a step back while that young Talent builds up and then it's a year or two after that that really this thing explodes onto the train tracks yeah right totally I mean this is this is the year that I think you look at to be the most potential success and yeah next year we we likely will take a step back but you you would hope that that could be made up with improved like obviously the 24 class was one of the best we've ever had so you're thinking okay well yes we lost some some senior guys but we've also brought in our best recruiting class that is now going to be Aging in a year so let's see how that kind of how how that plays into when they're all sophomores or R your freshman I feel like well what does that look like and how can that make up that ground a little bit which I think is where you get that excitement from where you see that linear sort of you know trajectory because people expect the recruiting classes to get better but I think it's a very fair point and I do expect that this you're right I mean we are likely going to see a drop maybe not in every position it's going to be different types of things different areas certainly secondary I mean we're going to be talking about that from the second of season ends until the beginning of next season is wow could really get shredded next year and we already know that we're already talking about it so there will be step back in certain areas for sure yeah the portal will be helpful there but yeah there there's going to be some holes to plug in in right reiv let's let's get into this one um we have broken down as I said every catch that's going to go out to our receivers this year who gets what um I'm going to start with you we'll start the the list who leads the team receptions last year and with how many oh I should actually start the numbers we used so last year we threw 466 passes as a team we completed 280 between lock and Tanner Mory there was one who there was one other pass that guy who completed one was that brillan yeah it was brilin okay so I didn't take that one into account so 280 passes we're gonna take that exact same number which obviously is going to change a little bit and then we're going to thank you for catching me so we're going to take that exact same number we did last year obviously it's going to alter a little bit and then we're going to break it down on the roster who's getting what uh Rie let's start with you I'm assuming will Pauling leads the way for you how many catches do you have will Pauling getting out of that 280 so I've got 70 for will Pauling it's four less than what he had last year um just because I think that the ball's going to be spread around a little bit more obviously there's another there's another slot guy that we're all we're both going to be talking about um and hopefully the talent around him is a little bit better so he doesn't need to catch as many 70 for will poing I've got 62 I I think I do think there's a bit of a drop there and I almost think so Luke figgles talked about we're gonna he's gonna get less catches I almost feel like the defenses are gonna do that for L Luke for for Phil they're gonna say no no we're gonna bracket him we don't we don't know about this stretch Kahana guy that you guys keep talking about we're not sure on him We're not gonna let Pauling beat us so I I have him at 62 uh I don't think he's going to have the uad last year but it's going to be for more yardage and I think he's gonna be he's still the same guy it's just a few less catches critical part of the team still no matter how you shake it out yeah one of the three I think one of the three best players on the team between him Rico and Hunter um all right I'll go next I'm curious I don't even know and we haven't compared lists I'm curious who you even have in second third fourth I have trch number two I got tretch with 42 catches um getting over that 40 I think he's gonna get it I'm not going to die on that Hill because I think he's gonna get it and I want him to get it I got trch at 42 it's funny I'm gonna give you my three and two because my three is trch with 42 it's awesome I've got someone in between them and you I think you probably know who it is because I love this man Bryson Green I think has you have a quarterback that can throw the Deep ball it was an issue for morai and lock last year I've got 44 for Bryson Green 42 for trch okay yeah I've got Bryson at 36 he's my three I I think the thing with Bryson even if you go back to his Oklahoma State days and what were those Oklahoma State offenses known for it was whipping the ball all over the field right he he's never had more than 36 in in his career I I think 40 getting over 40 I think is a stretch for him because a lot of his catches are still going to need to be contested and just due to the nature of that it's I think harder to rack up big catch totals I like him I think he's GNA be better this year I have him at 36 if and I think that yeah and that's for so the meat of my 280 is right here in these three like this is where I think the these to me and and same for you in a sense like I think for you it's probably like 140 sounds like if I did the math right or close enough and for me it's like 155 so I feel like that's you know that's where a lot of these catches are going to come from is those three to me it's these three now then there's a big drop off in numbers but there's still a lot of players that are going to get catches but yeah 70 44 42 for uh for me yep for me I have it that's about 67% of the total catches right there between those three for me yeah I I have a guy coming up close though I have chz at 32 chz at 32 I think he's going to catch a ton of passes I really do and partially so my my thought on this is you go back you look at what some of the backs did last year tally up what brillan um what AER did acre did I think most of that's just going to go to chz and I think the reason is they want Tai we to run the ball more and they're going to find ways to get chz chz the Rock and I think that's how they're going to do it a lot of those swing passes a lot of the quick passes that went to brillan last year I think that's I think that's a chz option yeah so last year brillan Allen had 28 receptions um and acre had 19 So to combin that was 47 catches between those two which is a lot that's yeah okay so my next one is Anthony um I think Anthony and it's it's down at 20 because I think now I have a huge like sort of block at people really close together uh because I think the ball gets spread after the top three so I got Anthony at at 20 and then after him I have maloi with 18 so maloi you're you could be right 32 is a big number but I think it gets spread out so I've got all three of these running backs on my list and I think it gets spread out fair not evenly between them Walker at the bottom of it but I think that that you know between akre and maloi they will get they will get spread I I think akr's role diminishes a little bit this year due due to a healthy chz like in other words acre doesn't get 19 last year if chz plays the entire year right I I think if you were to break that out game by game more that comes in the latter half of the season I think chz is probably G to see a ton of time on third down I think he's going to be a safety outlet I think they're going to rely on Tyre more to run the ball um but I could be wrong we'll we'll definitely see I have uh CJ at 25 I think he comes in there right after chz and then I have you mentioned Vinnie I have Vinnie at 22 okay wow so you've got so yeah I've definitely got it spread a little more down the list because I so it sounds like at the bottom your numbers are gonna be lower than mine I think You' got higher numbers right now okay that's interesting so Vin Vinnie to me really quick is super interesting because he's a guy like I have him at 22 catches so you're talking I mean really 1.8 per game like something like that right we're not talking about a ton but I think his catches could be super impactful this year because he is the speed guy he is the guy who more than probably anybody on the roster unless Burrows is healthy probably it's Vinnie right that if you're looking hey we want to hit a deep vert we want to really push the ball down the field and find somebody streaking up the sideline we're going to look for Vinnie so I think you might see a lot of 30 yard catches 40 yard catches um a lot relatively he's only getting 22 in my book but you might see four or five of those this year for him yeah and I I'd said on a previous show whether it was this show or or the other show it's I think that Anthony could be a guy that surprises us this year because he is clearly you know he's getting the starting role on the outside and with with tvd's ability to to stretch the field with with a deep ball yeah we could see a whole new weapon in Anthony that we haven't seen who's who's next up on your list so the next one is a bit of a cheat for me I went tight end as a group so it's 16 for the tight ends nowakowski Ashcraft mcgan I think that their role I mean in general so last year um H what did we have Ashcraft had eight catches last year um Hayden Ruchi had did he have 11 catches last year wow so there were like yeah I think 16 for the tight ends for me is next but it it is kind of cheating it is a group yeah I think that's fair I my next two we can probably rack out our last couple here pretty quick I had tawe at 14 behind Vinnie and then I had Ashcraft at 12 and then I I do think no C's gonna get four five you know I kind of made an other group I think you have another group as well you know so I think tight end's right around 16 is is very fair I have Tucker leading at with 12 and then I have AER with eight Chris Brooks with eight and then everything else I just lumped into other which would be the Freshman backs it' be no akowski um maybe maybe uh a Tyrell Henry gets one catch in some random game like it's that kind of stuff maybe Grant St and the blowout of a western Michigan gets a catch but to wrap it up I do think Chris Brooks gets a couple I have him at eight and then I have akre at eight as well yeah so for me um I said tight end was 16 I have Williams also at 16 so he's right there with that with that tight end group then I got Aker um at 14 I I hear you on the diminished role for him but I think that is a role that he can really play still and I just feel like he's going to be used in certain situations and you're talking basically w a game at that point so I feel like I'm good with that one slightly more than that um and then I go Brooks and Walker both at 10 um and then other category is 20 yeah I think it's all fair like I could I like AER a lot I I think he definitely is gon to carve out a role there just a lot of mouse to feed at running back there are a lot of mouse to feed there and it's a lot of options on this offense yeah I mean if you if your number holds true through for maloi at 32 then yeah Acres numbers are going way down I think it's going to be a bit more split but um I also think the running back the running Duties are going to be split between maloi and and Walker I still think maloi has the best season I know you guys are really you know you and Justin have both said Walker is gonna be the so you think Walker's a leading rusher sorry I'm totally just throwing in a new question no this is all good I I think he I think he is the best running rusher like I hate I has I'm hesitant to say running back right because I do think tawe gives you a little maybe more something in space which is great if you're going to throw those little flare routes those little those little quick option routes to the running back uh I think chz is probably better there which that kind of led into my if they really want to use chz and I think they really do I think it's they're going to use him more in passing game I think they're gonna use him more on third down I think they're going to use him more in space like that and partially because I think tywi is just gonna be the better guy to hand the ball off to but also partially because that's less punishment on chz right a guy who's lost the last three seasons to injuries a lot of times running between the tackles um so I I Envision that a role for him but he could easily he could get 15 and one shock I no I I frankly I have a really hard time figuring out how they're gonna use that running back room because there's five guys that could play literally five for sure and potentially even six I mean you we have we have we we're not even talking about Kade and you you're already talking about the two freshman and acre and then the two top guys I think I hope that it's a really nice split um for for carries I think we we you're right about the health of maloi obviously and Walker they're both good players maloi despite Justin's disagreement with me I think he is a really good running back who can have a really good year and I mean when he when he flashes he flashes and I really hope if he stays healthy I I think he could have a great season I think he ends up being our leading rusher um on the team and but we'll see see what happens lot of a lot of good things to be excited about though it is it is prime regime we talked about this at the beginning um but I'm almost excited I cannot wait for this game give me one guy on your list who you think you could be dramatically wrong about with the catch total e either high or low yeah I mean I honestly I could probably be pretty pretty wrong on green just because I'm very very high on Bryson I he's one of my favorite players on the team because I think he just the way he catches the ball the way he can high point he can be a possession type receiver his hands he's not the burner down the field and that's okay but we need a guy who can do that so I could probably be wrong on that and then a guy that I I feel like I hope I'm wrong about on the other side is I hope Chris Brooks shines this year and has more than 10 catches I only have 10 I think you have maybe eight but eight I mean look if Chris Chris books he every time we have training camp I can't even talk right now training camp he does really great he could have 25 catches and and surprise the heck out of us right because he absolutely could be a guy on this team and I hope I'm wrong about that I I love him I just it's such a crowded room I really like Brooks I think the one guy that I think I'm probably wrong on his chz if I if I'm too high on anybody I think it's chz where he'll it will be more of a distribution thing and he'll get 20 car or 20 catches and someone else will get more um the one guy I'm too low on that I think could could really surprise some people it's probably CJ who who had a really good camp and fall Camp he He Turned some heads he came back a little more physical he talked about it um he a little better body and now he's kind of listed as a co-starter that's a guy that a year ago I mean I remember we did an over under I think we said his touchdowns at six maybe six and a half I think Justin went over like my point is that's not the Ray on Justus I can't even remember but I do remember we all were really excited about him and now it's like you're two and it's not that we've forgotten but it's kind of like ah that that car is a year old now right it's like the new car syndrome a new car we love it no it's a year old I don't know doesn't smell the same anymore um I think he could he could get into the 30s high 30s and that one shocked me yeah totally I mean we we both have the same top three but that top three could even be wrong I think we're we're I think number one's pretty clear we we Pauling going be number one but where trch green CJ Anthony Maloy they all fall on that list is is exciting and so much of it depends on a guy that we haven't seen play in a badger uniform yet and that's Tyler van djk and everything he's gonna bring right and like we we think about the lens of Tanner morai and Braden lock but what does TVD bring and which TVD shows up I mean I think that the burning question of the season is going to be which TVD do we get yeah and if we have a great TVD it's going to be one way and if we have not so good TVD who knows what can happen we could we could lose a lot more games than we hope it's gonna be some sad therapy sessions uh speaking of which therapy session reaction show Friday hopefully it's a good one I think it'll be a good one I think Rie will be there I will be there um he is reie go reie Badgers go check him out on the Bucky report you know it really is Christmas Justin always jokes about Christmas is everything for him it's ovs it's it's national Signing Day but for me it's this like football season that's everything that's NFL
