San Francisco 49ers Vs. Las Vegas Raiders Showdown!!!

[Music] [Applause] [Music] hey what's up everybody this is Trevor and welcome back to size line Sports hit the like hit the Subscribe today we're going to be talking about the final preseason game Niners versus Raiders tonight Friday 700 p.m. so try and catch that if you can uh right now we're going to go over the ners depth chart in respect to the wide receivers uh of course we're waiting for Brandon nyuk to sign and we need him to sign pretty badly that being said I want to give some props to some of the other wide receivers on the team that I think can handle the load even though they haven't had a lot of experience number one Jan Jennings jwan Jennings doesn't get a lot of credit because he's had about 19 catches I think last year alog together but here's the thing there are other players on the field that are stopping him from getting that production you have Christian mcaffrey debbo Samuels Brandon auk and George KD now when those guys need the ball and want the ball a guy like Jan Jennings only gets to come in and play a certain number of downs that being said when he is is called in and there are sometimes when he is asked to make plays on very crucial Downs third fourth down conversions needed and he has come in and he has done that and he's done it cleanly he's made some very difficult catches he's made some very good catches on the run as well so I have a lot of confidence in Joan Jennings knowing that if he comes in he is going to get some more playing time and be productive and he's not going to let the team down that being said we definitely need Brandon auk signed we need that guy but maybe at the wide receiver Court we're going to get a Little Help from Debo Samuels as well because now that we have Christian mcaffrey in the back field we don't need Debo Samuels running the ball as much yes we like him in the motion in the back field confusing all the defenses in the league and we're going to see a lot of that but I think we'll see a lot more of them in the wide receiver slot because we need that depth there um we got other players Ricky percel was drafted as a rookie to come in and make a difference but unfortunately he kind of feels like he's made a glass he's getting hurt all the time uh and maybe that's just a fluke and this is going to be over with and he will start playing uh without injury very soon but so far he's been injured quite a bit when somebody even breathes on him so I mean it's going to be hard to see uh this guy make the make the roster in in any kind of capacity where he'll get any playing time for the time for the beginning of the season anyway uh Jacob King's come up and uh shown great promise I'm not sure that in a real live game when it counts that he's going to come through but he's made a case for himself I'm willing to take a look and see I'd give him a chance when the Jets come to town on Monday night if you can throw him in there for a few plays just to see what he can do why not if we're winning by enough or if there's an opportunity why not um there's other players like Ronnie Bell that had a great pre-season and kind of just when it came time to make the make the team and make those big plays in preseason games he just kind of got lost he was never to be found I don't know what happened he didn't run his routes as crisply as he could he couldn't get open when the when the quarterback was scrambling he didn't come back and help I don't even know if he's going to make the team I thought he was going to have you know I thought he was coming up I thought he would get some playing time this year now I'm not even sure he's going to make the team probably won't um but uh between all those wide receivers I still feel confident with the wide receiver core considering all of the other weapons we have on the team that the defense has to cover George KD and Christian mcaffrey alone are going to be a handful so guys that's what I think for the ners wide receiver depth chart um right now and where I think they're going uh this game is not going to be a very important game because I think both the Raiders and the ners have their depth charts set they know who they're cutting regardless of what what happens tonight they know where their players are going to be who's going to be on the roster and who's going to be off the team um Jacob uh or Jake brindell is doing good Spencer burford's doing really great Dominic puny came through and became this huge huge s star in in offseason and in training camp he's going to start the season I think big big help on the offensive line when Dominic puny that guy is looking legit so there are players that stood out that that's not going to mean this game is not going to mean anything for them so that's why I think you know the Niners are pretty much set and this game they're not going to play any major players who are going to be starting the season because they don't want anybody getting hurt so it's not going to be a very you know exciting game I don't think but we'll see how it goes I'm still doing the halftime show and the postseason show or postgame show as usual so please tune in because I'll be going live for those and if you want to comment please do and I'll I'll respond to the comments guys so it's uh more I go live more I want to see you show up and watch and support the channel uh for the Raiders now the defense I think is what's going to hinge this team on whether they do well or Not Sorry cough well or not during the regular season so you got players who just showed up big and the Raiders defense last year was really exciting Max Crosby Adam Butler Matthew Butler um Charles Snowden there were players on this team that are just really coming through and making this defense look amazing so I think look out for the Raiders defense this year they're going to be instrumental on how far this team can go the offense on the other hand is a question mark we got Gardner muu starting at quarterback right we all know he's been around the league a little bit he's not a horrible quarterback he's a serviceable quarterback but by no means you're long-term solution and so when you have a player like Devonte Adams who's a star wide receiver who is really not happy on the roster is Gardner muu going to be that guy that gives him the confidence and support uh that makes him want to stay on this Raider team and make plays we don't know we'll see Garner mhu I like how he plays he plays a very gritty very hardcore quarterback um tough and I think he's going to bring some toughness to the offense whether Devonte Adams likes where that ball is placed and how they're going to continue on with the offense is a question so we're just going to have to see what happens with him uh I don't think that the Raiders have too far or anywhere else to go besides Garner menu so you're going to see him play the whole year most likely regardless of his performance I I believe unless the Raiders make a move somewhere uh during the middle of the season for another quarterback if Garner muu goes down uh I don't like the backup options um Carter Bradley I don't really even know anything about him because he's pretty lock luster hasn't made any progress in training camp too much and is just kind of there in case Gardner muu gets hurt um but that being said the offense really needs to take another step forward for the Raiders this year and I didn't see a lot of upgrades in the off season for the Raiders so it's kind of like picking up where he left off last season which isn't necessarily a horrible thing because their defense was just looking really really good so I'm really excited to see where the Raiders defense goes this season the off on the other hand I'm not sure where that goes it's hard to say it doesn't seem like there was much of an upgrade there uh other than Gardner minu which I do think is an upgrade at quarterback because you know they needed somebody out there that could throw the ball uh stay in the pocket and not get scared and you know Jimmy G wasn't never going to be that guy he just after he got that knee injury with the 49ers it seemed like he just turned into a different quarterback and he was never the same so he's gone Gardner muu next man up let's see what happens I at least like the way Gardner muu plays I don't think he's a top tier quarterback in the league maybe a top 15 top 20 definitely not a top 10 so we'll see I don't know um but I think he'll help a little bit but not enough to get over that hump to say we're a 500 team to a you know vying for a wild card spot in the playoff or a playoff spot I don't know about that we're going have to watch the Raiders and see where it goes right now they got players on their team um that are kind of just okay not a lot of superstars not a lot of you know Playmakers so I'm not sure where they go this year but it'll be fun to watch them it'll be fun to watch the defense and we'll see if they can at least make a wild card spot or something like that I'd say that's this team working and going in the right direction if they make a wild card uh spot at the end of the season that's what I would say so Raiders versus ners going to be a game to watch uh that is going to basically have a lot of guys still vying for a roster spot that probably are in a l last ditch effort to really make the team but most likely won't uh so we'll be looking out for a player to kind of just go all out and make a big play and try and make a good lasting last impression for the Raiders and for the 49ers uh just to see if they can make that last spot or what's left but I think both teams already know who they're keeping uh and again that's why I don't think you're going to see starters on either side play and if you do it won't be very much pretty sure dos is going to start for the 49ers which by the way I think is playing out of his mind uh I love the idea of him being the second uh quarterback behind Brock pie I don't know if that's going to happen but I would love to see him be the backup I think he's earned it I think he's done really well not even not just in the uh preseason training camp but in the games he's been more than Serv service he's made plays he's run the ball when the play is broken down and gain yardage he ran the ball in for a touchdown a couple of times in the preseason games so I like what I see from him and I think I'd feel comfortable with him being the backup quarterback so I hope that's the way Shanahan goes um but he'll play a little bit tonight probably that not that much I'm assuming maybe a less than a quarter I'm I'm thinking maybe maybe a quarter he'll play and then give it to the rest of the quarterbacks to kind of finish off uh
