are nine official visitors uh Zach just the general thoughts on how the the weekend went for FSU any big movers or shakers that we want to start off talking about yeah well I think I think I want to start with the defensive back position um laran Clardy out of Escambia High School in Pensacola I would describe him as the prospect that Florida they probably made the biggest move with um you know from start of the weekend to the end of it he came away from the visit calling FSU his leader like his outright leader um and you know I think FSU is in in obviously a really good spot there um staying at defensive back Bryce Fitzgerald South Florida DB out of Miami Columbus High School I think a lot of people you know heading into the visit kind of assumed it might have been like a courtesy trip um he kind of sched the last minute bumped a previously planned visit to USC instead Bryce Fitzgerald spends this weekend in Tallahassee and leaving the visit he called FSU a top three school for him along with Florida and LSU which which was pretty surprising considering um you know I think a lot of us kind of assumed Miami was that that Premier School in his Recruitment and I think a note there is like they still could be um they're going to get him on campus at the end of the month and he's trying to make a decision U within the next you know few months so I uh you know I'm not going to Discount Miami in that recruitment but it did seem like Florida State made some serious um Headway uh throughout the weekend um whereas you know I probably wouldn't even even considered them a true Contender for Bryce Fitzgerald before he stepped on campus um real real quick we'll get to the other DBS interject if you will Dane on Bryce Fitzgerald I know you're a big fan of his of his game and his his skill set just let the people know I guess like what the significance of getting into that recruitment would be for FSU from I guess like a malleability skill set kind of kind of perspective yeah I mean so FSU safety board I think they're gener generally there's their defensive back board is kind of thinned out over like this kind of the whole year I guess slowly but Bryce Gerald if they can like really get in that recruitment I I think he's as far as like a free safety just really rangy smooth like Ball Hawk defensive back kind of like a Conrad hussy type uh natural skill set I think um Bryce Gerald's that guy and he's I mean he would be he's one of my favorite like I guess defensive backs that fsu's targeting but that's a dude that fits fsu's uh like what they like as well as anybody I think as far as someone on that back end someone who could have I he's fluid enough to have like nickel flexibility or I think he could play anything in your secondary and that's really what they like they like those versatile pieces and guys that are just Dynamic athletes and can do anything all right Zack let's get back into the DBS thank you for that Dane uh Tony Williams you had an exclusive interview with him bright and early on Sunday morning before he was departing he's the four-star cornerback commitment uh to UCF right now what kind of traction or Headway did FSU make there Zach yeah um I think Tony Williams and and you know members of his family are are super high on Florida State um despite him being committed to UCF and I think think this weekend really helped fsu's chances if they do in indeed you know try to flip him from the from the knights the uh the fighting Brennan sonone so I yeah I think uh I think Tony Williams is a guy um a quarterback Target for Florida State that could very much end up in the class um but I I want to you know jump in here and say this like with fsu's defensive backboard Dane kind of alluded to this there's a lot of moving pieces it's kind of thinned out it's it's grown throughout the summer I think what it's going to come down to um especially at corner is kind of a first come first serve you know situation FSU for Corner could very much be that so FSU had one corner um taking OB at on the first weekend of or weekend point. five of June um May 31st through June 2nd that was on as Conan bar Benny out of um out of South Carolina originally from from the UK and he's a prospect that I think is a take for FSU I would describe Tony Williams in the same light like I think right now he's a take but I think we have to put these recruitments into context right if if one of these guys jumps in the mix you know in the near future then that could affect whether another you know that other Prospect is a take um and the same goes for FSU safety recruiting like I think someone asked on the previous podcast uh on the um you know buyer sown uh whether the Turner group um whether it'd be smart for for a guy like Max Redmond who I was going to talk about next um a three star safety out of cardinal new in high school in West Palm Beach whether it would be smart for him to jump into the boat sooner rather than later so he can kind of secure a spot in the class he's a take FSU loves him Mike norell Pat San both fans um but like I said it it's really you know who jumps in the mix first in in that defensive back class um because there's limited limited spot fsu's taken a lot of guys at those spots in the past you know previous two cycles and they feel like they've hit on pretty much every single one of them on their roster they have a young talented secondary and and uh so that means the numbers in this class aren aren't going to be as High um so definitely something to monitor with with those four defensive backs as long or as well as the other guys that that visit at that spot uh the rest of June do we think that Max Redmond has some like because I had seen him in person and until over the weekend I was really impressed with the frame do we think he has like some versatility of is he a safety could he grow into a linebacker potentially I kind of wonder about that like um like we're talking about kind of first come first serve as far as taking these defensive backs and stuff but Max Redmond is almost unique I feel like at like the top of their board from from a skill set standpoint or like a projection of where he would play I feel like he's clearly that like Buck you know like strong safety type build but he's got the bigger frame uh definitely a guy with a lot of length he's probably going to be better on the line of scrimmage and stuff than than most and that's kind of what maybe he'll be like specialized to do I feel like on the current roster maybe like an Ashlin Barker is probably his best comparison um but I kind of wonder if him being sort of a Unique Piece among that board if they would this is just me speculating but like take him you know of course if they load up with other talented guys maybe he loses a spot or something like Zach is sort of saying but um I wonder if he's I don't know kind of has a spot of uh you know like a specialized spot among the defensive back room what's funny about your thought process let's let's I was like staring at a wall into space and drifting Zone back in and saw Zack laughing so we got a cool POV of D's like under like you know it's really cool um no but that that is that is a good you know I agreed in I think that's kind of how they view him um as a versatile piece and and on on Brennan's point like I don't know you know just seeing the body like I don't know if he can grow into a linebacker I know that's always been discussed with him but um I think he's a true DB and and I think Dane brought it up perfectly I would compare him you know to someone on fsu's rostar like like ashon Barker I think that's kind of what they' what they'd want um and they're high on on a guy like Barker and what he can be in the future it's proba like the initial Adam Fuller defense that he brought over from Memphis and he changed tweaked a lot of it it's was always like these positions were hybrid positions where you can kind of tweak uh a few spots on each level or one spot on each level but like the buck safety had potential to be like a big physical um like old school strong safety you know type of type of thought process so like Max could very well just be that like that would make sense based on something that Adam Fuller has had success with before skill set wise um or even or even like another kind of hybrid position like in that old school Fuller defense or whatever like the stud linebacker it's kind of a hybrid safety linebacker that's more of I mean essentially a nickel and what is turned into just a Bas nickel but um you know and maybe like a three linebacker is set or whatever he can be sort of like that too I know he talked about after his OV kind of being talked about as a safety Ander nickel and I think that's honestly probably what that means would be kind of that stud role you know kind of like what not to deviate too much into projecting what the 2024 season will look like but like with Cam riy Edition what does that do to unlock like three linebacker sets um because of his skill set in space and his length and athleticism um he might be a really a prototypical stud so all right uh real quick speaking of linebackers Ethan Pritchard longtime FSU commits since was last fall uh was there nothing super revelatory other than he's taking a UCF official visit said he's quote unquote pretty much locked in I would assume that just means he's he's locked in uh at this point uh but let's talk about his teammate real quick Zack fellow Sanford seminal uh High Prospect Max Buchanan interior offensive lineman specifically very likely a center for Florida State uh we were able to catch up with him after his OV he had to get going what stood out there and uh what do we think about FS use kind of positioning for Max Buchanan right now yeah it's a highly contested recruitment he's a guy that's going to take um you know when June's over with I think about six official visits so Clemson Miami ol Miss Penn State Florida State and UCF um there's a lot of schools that that feel like they're in a pretty good spot um I think FSU just from what I've heard uh after this weekend feels like they have a good as good of a shot as anyone um and yeah I mean they have his teammate commed he knows several of the guys on the roster and that was a big thing for him this weekend was kind of getting to know those guys even more and just you know understanding what a day in the life of of an FSU football player is and and I think he got that um he got that full experience so yeah uh FSU feels good about a number of their interior offensive line targets um you know other guys have not pton Joseph um and there'll be some other guys that visit throughout the month of June but Max beanan is a guy they loved for long time um they were one of his first offers a couple years ago and and uh and since then I mean he uh he told me he prefers Alex ain's way of communicating um as opposed to some of these other schools that that hit him up all the time um he really hates the recruiting process in that sense so um yeah I mean I think when when he comes to a decision I think FSU is going to be a top Contender um until that point so we'll we'll see what happens um I haven't heard you know one way or the other on on where his recruitment's going to go um but I know FSU felt the visit went really well with with Max pinan all right let's talk about Dan's boy one of his in infatuations Osmani kroma the four-star running back from lesburg Georgia in Lee County it's about two hours north of of Tallahassee uh Dane go ahead wax poetic I guess what what was the feedback that we got about his recruitment uh after the OV yeah I mean I I would think or it seemed to go well you know I think an interesting point I think Zach can probably talk more about this but um and this is honestly already kind of drifting off and maybe we should establish some context in this recruitment first but stuff about uh George's running back board situation Clarity there with Todd Robinson um but anyway yes is Monte chroma that seems to be a kind of a Georgia Auburn FSU recruitment at this point he takes a official visit FSU this weekend F has been in that for multiple years kind of like Max Buchanan and uh he's like really longtime targets that fsu's really invested in and you'd like to see them you know succeed in the end of laying these guys but isman Chrome is one of the better running backs in the class one of the more productive running backs in the class and a guy FSU has really liked I mean him and baron Louise kind of seem clearcut like the top targets of their running back board at this point and and um yeah getting chrom on campas for this official vis a big deal seemed to go well Zach anything to add to how well it went maybe yeah um I wrote about on on our website like you know I put like Intel on all these guys but with usmani I think the biggest note was was what you mentioned Dan like Auburn was mentioned to Florida State Side from his Camp as a bigger Contender than Georgia um which you know I'm not ready to Discount Georgia um I confirmed like Bren or uh what Dane said like Todd Robinson the he's a four-star athlete out of alasta was actually scheduled to OV to FSU midweek next week um but he's he committed to Georgia after visiting there this weekend he's a DB um for for Georgia so that's not going to go um against Dan you're on video um he's not gonna go against uh you know you know help fsu's uh chances of Landing usmani chroma because um what Dane was referencing is was Georgia possibly filling up at the running back position um before before they get to usmani kruma but I wrote in the note that um georg's new running back coach that they hired this offseason literally coached at Lee County High School when usman's older brother was playing there um and it's still the same head coach Dean fio shout out um at Lee County and yeah so there's deep ties there um so I I would seriously doubt that George is g to stop recruiting lmani choma uh I talked to Ben woke from our Georgia site and he said they actually have another um running back Target that's visiting this weekend a guy from Tennessee so we'll see if they make a move there um but I would I would expect this this battle to continue with FSU Georgia then Auburn being that other team um who's already actually gotten groma on an official visit um a few weeks ago during the month of May so but everything I heard was was it was super positive I mean he brought like 10 family members with him um I think he had the biggest party uh traveling party of all the official visitors it was really cool Dane and I went to the uh the FSU Team Basketball Camp um to go see some people there and and usmani showed up with David Johnson the running back coach um and a few all field assistants and Usman was there to support his Lee County team which was playing in the tournament he was really upset because he thought after the official visit he'd be allowed to stay in Tallahasse and go compete with his team um by the way he's he's like listed 6' one 25 pounds but he has a 69 wingspan so he plays the five for his basketball team um which is which is crazy to me um but but yeah so um that was that was cool we got to see him there and and it just seemed like it went really well so I I wrote like I think FSU is going to be you know right there with with any other school that that you know high on his his list um I think the only con that I can think of for Florida state is that they you know they don't have one of those later June official visits um like a Georgia who gets him in that last weekend so that that would be the the one negative I guess you could point out um from from this weekend just you know the scheduling of his trips all right last but not least he legitimately the highest rank Prospect who was on campus so maybe we should have started with him I don't know that's Zion Grady the fourstar defensive end from Enterprise Alabama uh we have a 93 grade at 247 Sports top 100 Prospect a guy who's shown up to Florida State Zack quite a bit uh the last couple years well familiar with Tallahasse with what Florida state has to offer I found him to be a a difficult read after the official visit interview that he had you've dealt with him more than than I have so maybe you can Enlighten us like on what what we think FSU is able to accomplish here I know people are getting like PTSD with an Alabama defensive end recruit uh shout out Dane almost a two-year anniversary of a faul in the road never forget oh man what a what a great time that was we got a celebrate that I think on the we drive back up to Highland hole Alabama and do another podcast there's another Faulk there now that you could go cover there we go another Road Zion Grady Zack let's talk a little bit about him before we switch to the elite Camp yeah so coming out of this visit like I think even beforehand FSU was kind of trending up and I been mentioning this for the past few weeks but like I think FSU thinks they're going to land Zion Grady um I'm you know based on past history I'm not ready to like be super um confident in that feeling on my end yet um but they feel really good about their standing with him um just as good as anyone that visited this weekend like they you know I think it's them Miami and Ohio State I was told like Ohio State's one to watch because they get him in that last week in of June um but FSU feels really really good about where they s with s Grady I was it was described to me as um a very informative trip for both sides but FSU likes to pack their official visits with tons of meetings um about every facet of the football program and Zan Grady in the interview afterwards just kept bringing up how many meetings there were yeah which I thought was funny and he you know we interviewed these guys you know bright and early in the morning and and you know if you if you look at their official visit schedule you know they're not getting home until 1: or 2 in the morning after you know that the previous night so like they're all tired so you know I'm not trying to um say that more so I'm trying to say that uh what it was described to me that he was very um attentive during those meetings and like that mattered to him he wanted to learn on his official visit um and and I think that was an important thing that that FSU kind of nailed um he he he and Camp um really really like that aspect of the fsob okay it's been brought to my attention that I omitted Chase LOF and if Chris KN were here right now he'd jump through the screen slap me in the face for forgetting about it a tight end uh so real quick Zack let's talk about Chase Lofton he's from Nebraska we'll Loop this all together and Brett's here to talk about Omaha but a borderline fourstar tight end three to four star tight end uh from from Nebraska let's talk about Chase Lofton for a minute yeah we're going to send Brett on the road to uh yeah do an inhome visit um Chase Lofton is a guy from or tight end from Nebraska that FSU loves like he's one of fsu's top two tight end targets at this point after five star tight end Elias Williams shut down his Recruitment and is you know solid with Georgia with Chase Lofton he you know you you look at the recruitment on papering you're like you know why is FSU involved with this kid from Nebraska well there's TI here so um not only does does he like the warm weather in the State of Florida but his grandparents live in Florida I was told and you know Chris Thompson's familiar with the family because his older brother actually got offered by the school that he's currently at at an FSU Mega Camp the first year it was held so there's that tie um and you know fsu's kind of always known about him and his uh and his older brother and you know they feel like they have some serious standing in this recruitment um I know you know it's common to think a guy from Nebraska is probably just going to you know stay in Nebraska stay close to home but we asked Lofton about that afterwards and and he talked about how his older brothers at Kansas state which is not too far from home and mentioned how with how busy the college football schedule is he barely sees his brother even come home so like you know why why would why does it matter a ton um for him for him to uh to you know be close to home if he's not even going to be home that much was his point so he said he he you know he doesn't think this is going to be a big factor and that was kind of backed up with what I heard on on you know from other sources surrounding that recruitment so uh Texas A&M is is a big player here the OC there Colin kleene was the main recruiter of his older brother and signed him at Kansas State before Klein was hired by the aies this offseason so that that they have that tie that family so they'll be a contender and they get him on campus this next weekend um and then Nebraska's obviously got that that um you know home state tie and he lives about like 30 to 45 minutes away from campus so yeah those those are the other two contenders but but I I truly think Florida state does have a a real shot here uh we did learn this weekend that Dane thought the abbreviation of any for Nebraska was New England hey you you skipped over that when said that I I said that out loud realized how dumb it sounded in like a third of a second maybe and then kept moving and you didn't say it I'm glad now you know to the world you point out to me that you noticed how silly that was that's good kind of the a little glimpse of the life I lead in my house every day my wife's very astute and observant and I say dumb stuff all the time and get different like idioms and things definitions of things confused and uh and I think I got away with it for like a split second and then I'll just see her kind of like turn slowly damn it she knows I'm stupid once again uh merital Bliss um let's go into all real quick just so people know because I'm not sure if we'll do a podcast before then I would like to I just can't assure it's busy week coming up with seven on seven big man camp on Wednesday but FSU has another big official visit weekend on Friday the Seven Pro starting on Friday seven prospects including two five stars in cck Lockett festar wide receiver from Texas and Justice Terry defensive lineman USC commit Georgia knocking on the door there uh I don't know why I got southern accent there on the door there uh from Manchester Georgia handful of other recruits Zach you take care of doing a podcast for later in the week on that okay a you okay a you good I'm glad your internet's doing great there fantastic okay let's let's go to Elite camp we previewed it this past week uh and and thought it would be a really good group of players dare I say Elite based on who we thought was going to to uh come and then work out and damn it it was a really good group uh zackl let you've been covering these for a few years now just the collection of of players there the prospects the upside um I guess what was your overall thought on on what you saw on Sunday was it indeed Elite it was definitely Elite um you know I wouldn't say every position was Elite but in totality the camp had a number of elite prospects and um not only were they there they worked out um so that that was a bonus for for Forida State as they kind of make those those early evals on on you know 2026 20127 and even some 2028 prospects um because you know that that's becoming increasingly important with the recruiting calendar speeding up um you know who knows I mean think about this scenario it was it was described to me by someone I talked to over the weekend what if these 2026 prospects are having to make are you know some of them are going to um possibly be signing at this time next year if they move up the uh the you know signing day up until the summer yeah um which would be crazy they should do by the way I don't know about super like June early but I think summerish is like August 1 or something yeah right before the season start would be great I think it'd be good for us for like fan engagement perspective I think it'd be good for high school prospects' be good for coaches I think there's a lot of it makes a lot of sense then you have there's Nega you have the December like uh like portal window and then you have uh February Signing Day for the guys who didn't sign there's negatives to it though like you know we can get into that it's a it's a big discussion but I think one of the main ones is is the senior high school football season right a lot of guys that're locked in with the school are probably just going to opt out of their senior year um you know to kind of preserve themselves but but we've seen that that senior year be kind of one of the most important metrics for kind of projecting how you know a guy is going to develop um and it is an important you know developing phase of of a high school football prospect's uh career so yeah that's just one of too yeah exactly some of those guys might might not have as many opportunities now uh anyway Zachary you were you're uh projecting a uh a potential scenario with the the timeline yeah um I think you know if 2026 prospects are making decisions next summer right I mean these these evaluations are vitally important I mean these guys are could be making decisions in less than a year or in about a year um so that that's why I think um you know fsu's kind of prioritized getting a lot of top of their a lot of their top 2026 prospects on campus for this Camp kind of saw it last year um but they really went full till with with this philosophy this this cycle because you know summer official visits have just become so prevalent and 2025 prospects if they're if they're good um if they're being prioritized by by top tier programs are not going to come to a camp on a on a you know on a weekend typically um but on that note FSU did have some 2025 prospects there um and Brendan I want you to start with the biggest prospect that was in attendance literally but he's not a 2025 guy okay but he's 2024 I don't know what is he tell us all right hang on let me get the measurements and stuff up here to make sure I'm I'm doing this justice so uh it's jazari Jackson he's I think he measured in like 69 and three quarters so 610 is his his basketball profile had I met 611 uh Dane pointed out that basketball profiles are legitimately notorious uh for for just giving someone an extra you know in so kid show but but jar Jackson was if you know the name uh it's because he was teammates with bronnie James LeBron James son uh in the OT basketball circuit which is basically like overtime Elite is basically like a semi-pro but like a well-paid semi-pro League uh for players who like of high school age and even up until 20 years old uh Jackson is 20 years old so his time at OT is is over it's it's done and now looking to see what the next step of his career is and he's someone who played football uh in I think up through Middle School they told basically he was too big needed to focus on basketball did it was fruitful for him but now wants to see if he can maybe uh make it as a offensive tackle Prospect when he walked in to the ipf and we saw him and there was a lot of like solid offensive lineman guys who got offered younger 2026 prospects Shan pero 2025 as well guys between you know 6'4 and 6'6 and jari Jackson just absolutely towered over all of them and just like the frame was crazy too like he not just tall like he's tall and filled out he's like about 330 340 pounds looks good uh I thought it was really cool guys that as he worked out and obviously super raw he's someone who hasn't played basketball in like or excuse me football in five or six years he got better uh throughout each rep like he would have the first reps were often like really bad and then they would coach him up and he would apply it and he was attentive I talked to someone uh from from from o OT and they'd said like he's a really coachable like attentive young man and I think we saw that so he was super interesting to your point Zack he's 202 I guess my point to your point 2024 is what he is he so he can enroll now like he wants to enroll somewhere before uh before Camp starts whether he can get in for Sumer be at Florida State I'm not sure people are asking is it it would be an offer for a walk-on would it be scholarship does it really matter anymore at this point I would I would contend I think it's more whether you could find room within your budget to to bring someone on and room within like the actual room do you want to take on another body can you make it work with the credits and him getting in in time I'm not sure he mentioned Georg I mentioned Arkansas's other places he's established a relationship with I'm all for it like if you can find a place for him like that's someone you you you know you know it's probably not a high probability of them hitting but 6'10 340 pounds being able to move well like yeah that that that would work so he was fun I think he was kind of the um the Oddity of the day like he's the one who just kind of stood out when you saw him right away he was the story of the day he was super interesting agreed um I actually found out a cool anecdote about him he played I think basketball with in like fifth grade with hem Williams in South Florida really that's cool yeah um and he has some kind of tie in with Pat ceran yeah I so Pat wanted when Pat was coaching American Heritage he uh he wanted to come play football for him yeah I think that he has like a tie-in with with one of his family members because of that um so I think that's that's why he made it to Camp I think he would end up playing with bronnie instead because I think they would have known you know the James family would have known of him right from their time in South Florida so that's kind of what what happened he chose to do basketball usually not a bad strategy when you're six foot 10 right um so yeah that was an interesting one we'll see how that plays out in the next couple weeks here but you roll the dice for sure I think the next most important guy to note U maybe the most important 2025 prospect that was that was out in attendance for the camp and that's Shamar Arno um I believe that's the way you say it he's a three star fourstar composite um defensive back out of the state of Georgia I believe um he was an instant eye-catcher for me I was watching mainly the receivers quarterbacks and DBS and I went over to the DB positional drills and you can find it on my Twitter but I mean he's a legitimate 6'2 and a half long arm you know fluid mover Twitchy like everything you'd want in an FSU defensive back prospect that we've kind of seen over the past few Cycles with with Pat San at the helm it that's it like shamaro know is that um and and that my impression was backed up by kind of fsus attention to him um during and after the camp um you know there was an effort made to set up an official visit with him um I think that's still up in the air he told us that that he had said an a midweek visit next week um to FSU but but I think FSU would kind of prefer that to be on that final weekend so we'll see what happens but um definitely a prospect to watch moving forward he was awesome um he might have been my top performer overall at the camp um I think he's a guy that that the FSU agreed upon like you know that's a guy we we need to move on um and I would expect them to be a corner uh Target for them uh the other 2025 player of no I guess there were two others one came away with an offer one did not real quick Dane the one who did not was three star defensive end jaquavius DOD from South Carolina you were paying a lot of attention to the defensive ends I I do want to St stop and talk about the defensive ends at some point just because of the collection of that talent but just real quick d what did you think of do like if you were Florida state would you have extended the offer there I I think so I think he just has a lot of great tools um like he's a guy who's I mean he's just got a ton of length he's pretty well put together I think he's a really fluid mover for how long he is and that's kind of uh and he's got some explosiveness to him too I think he's kind of like a collection of tools that you like to have at that position that are pretty rare to find like guy that that's that long isn't typically that explosive or or maybe not as fluid or something like that you know um but I like him I know he's kind of considered like a High character type guy too which is is always good he's certainly like really raw but that's totally fine you're not taking him ideally as like your main defensive end in the class but I think that's the kind of high upside guy you like to find the high school ranks at a premium position um that sort of thing yeah I'll just back you know I I'm like in the middle on him like I I didn't watch him as much as you guys did so I don't have like a true opinion on that um but I know like just speaking with some sources surrounding that um and his performance at the camp like you know they like the length obviously all the measurables are are super impressive but I guess like one thing to note that that was noted to me was like hi flexibility was something that might have been a con for him in his game um and you know that's that's just someone's opinion so like I'm not not trying to say that you know I'd agree with that Dan watched defensive ends a little but I was watching offensive I didn't think he been as much as I would like given he's like 225 pounds right now I would like that to be more of an element of his game for me personally I I think that's totally fair I think that that kind of length to um maybe it's more difficult for that I think like he was like naturally fluid though like he yeah you look at him and you think he moves well even if it's not uh I don't know every part like I don't know the more intricate stuff like that sure but I think generally he moves well and you would uh think that it's only going to continue to happen at the college level um oh I I thought like based on his frame that it was kind of the way he's built like the the lower body was like really sturdy and impressive I thought the upper body was like more narrow shouldered so I just I didn't know like what he like how he develops I guess like how how do you put on weight for him uh almost like the way he moved and the way like the lower body's based I was like you like put on 70 pounds and have him like as a three Tech potentially that might be a little ambitious and then with the upper body made me wonder if that's even I just I didn't know where you would put him how you would use them that was my big thing Dane I just I didn't know exactly like what he turns into um so I guess I'm at peace with it basically of them not offering immediately after the camp the other guy that they did offer was sha pet we've talked about him before from the Atlanta area offensive tackle Prospect not the biggest dude in the world from weight perspective he measured in at like 6'4 and change maybe closer to six 65 and 274 pounds is what he said so like you know that's under sized I think for what you would wanted a tackle Prospect but you see the long arms like that is well above average and yeah arm length is the thing that Alex Atkins covets uh very much so I thought the movement traits were really good really really quick light feet competitive even reps like where he didn't cleanly win or could have even lost like there was things that he was doing that I liked with like the the hand usage and um yeah he he's really good he came away with the Florida state offer I think he's a guy that you really start to push on at this point he's picked up offers from duke and Vanderbilt recently really great academic guy obviously with those kind of offers and has some ivy league stuff too but pretty much anywhere he's gone and camped at he's he stole the show um and you know sure enough he went and camped at Florida State and came away with an offer so I think he's someone who's ascending he's upwardly mobile hard to find you know it's a hard position to evaluate offensive line probably the hardest position to evaluate even in the NFL they they strike out all the time uh but yeah Shan peret to me like I get the offer I think you really pursue him at this point if it's me he's someone I would like in this class they've done a nice job uh identifying some under the radar guys in the past couple years and I think this fits nicely there I did forget another 2025 guy from Kentucky athlete Jeremiah Jones uh I don't know what position he plays guys do know I looked over a few times and more so like is he a wide receiver is he a tight end could he play on defense I looked over a few times and he gets downfield with a level of explosiveness that is pretty impressive uh Dane what were your thoughts on on Jeremiah Jones he's just a really intriguing athlete um like you said he gets down the field quick FSU likes him at tight end that's where they view him but uh like Nebraska and Louisville are the other two programs most closely involved there they both like them a lot he just took a official visit to Louisville last weekend the weekend before this past one and they like him as a wide receiver Nebraska sees him as more of a general athlete but I think they like him on the defensive side of the ball like maybe a safety that's what his profile calls him but he's like a verified he mentioned um well just what he measured in at at at FSU he said it was 6'4 and three quarters so almost 65 uh round three or round 215 and um he's exceptionally long he's nearing a seven foot wingspan which is just absolutely length so that would be like he has a lot of interesting you know measurements in that regard but also he is a really nice athlete who can do a lot of stuff I think his it's kind of him as a tight end is interesting because as a pass catching guy uh the upside is is super legit I think um but it's a bigger question whether he can be kind of a complete tight end in times I think he's pretty Broad in his upper body but it's kind of an interesting build because he's got pretty skinny legs you know if you really want to talk about him is like a a like a complete every down like in line tight end who's gonna be able to get up to like 250 or something like that I don't know if he's that but he's a really intriguing option and he didn't get an offer at the end of the camp but he was a top performer on the day and I think they're going to continue to kind of evaluate him and and consider whether they want to kind of take him as that high upside receiving tight end of the class he'd be a I almost think he'd be a better receiver um and that's kind of what you were getting at Dan like he I think the biggest question is whether he can put on weight to become like a true tight end Prospect but I just i' better characterize him as like a big receiver and I he's a guy that impressed me a ton like he probably if if Shamar Arno was number one he might have been number two on my list of top performers he um he was awesome um and I you know I didn't expect him to move like that um at at that size and and he moved really well um was was rounding up a ton of the top linebacker prospects that were there so yeah I just I think I think he's a guy that that FSU should offer I don't know if they will um it didn't you know didn't sound like they had any plans to at least uh directly after the camp so we'll see like Dan said they're probably going to continue to evaluate him but but if there's one guy that that I would stand on the table for it would be uh it would be Mr Jeremiah Jones out of out of Kentucky why' you call him Mr Jeremiah Jones want to give him more more Authority hey quick buyer sonone sponsored by the Turner group The Turner group buyer sonone quarterback and defensive end were by far the two deepest and most impressive positions at the elite Camp by Easy by for show yeah I was set up to talk about it but the quarterback uh group Zack might have been like the best collection of QBs at a camp since like some of the Jimbo days I think yeah it was uh it was super impressive I mean they had two five star prospects there in the 2026 class and Fa on Brandon who's the number one overall recruit on 247 Sports in 2026 you know regardless of position and then another five star signal caller and Dia Bell um out of South Florida American Heritage High School he's the son of NBA star rajer Abell former NBA star rajer Abell um is Raj Bell a star he was the only guy that could guard Kobe that's like that's what he's known for I think right he was he was a great defender and uh I think like an original like three and D type of type of guy I just know if I would say star sorry continue I'm looking at I think anyone that makes it in the NBA is a star anyway um he uh he was you know he was there he had a good performance I thought the best performance on the day was actually not even those guys it it was a four-star quarterback Jaden O'Neal um he was awesome uh he he had you know D or Chris and I were were watching um him throw in in one-on ones and he's at a narbone car uh California 6 fo3 200 pounds he's ranked as the number six quarterback in the class so it's not like he's lowly ranked he's just lower ranked than than the two guys I mentioned before him but I thought he had the best day um just an awesome awesome arm awesome delivery and uh super impressive um with fais on Brandon he's got all the tools like it's super clear to see um he his deep ball was was better than than anyone else at that at the camp and um it's not all put together yet like he's raw still um but I think if you're basing it off measurables and you know how how it looks now and how how it could be in the future I can see why he's he's ranked as high as he is um and then with diaab bell more of a polished passer um maybe doesn't have the the you know the tools that a guy like fais on Brandon has um but he's an athletic player who um had good ball delivery you know on Sunday and I thought uh what was another top performer of that you know loaded group another guy to note real quick gyron huy um I actually went to go see him in the spring he's the nephew of Penn State running back coach Jawan cider um FSU has been in on that recruitment since he was you know pretty young and and now he's gonna try his um he's gonna make an attempt to play quarterback for for Cardinal Newman High School down in South Florida and uh he'll be the starter for them this year he threw at the camp um really raw in the sense that like you know hasn't hasn't had as much like QB training I think as as any of the other quarterbacks there um but there are tools there to work with and he's a guy that FSU is kind of prioritized um after Mike norval got to watch him uh at the FAU FSU satellite Camp last year so just want to note um and then there's a 2027 kid that got offer Trent Seaborn um he was he was the top young young um arm at the at the camp as well Raja Bell was a NBA all defensive first team player one year and then a second team player another year he averaged nine points per game and like two rebounds K I don't think we can call him a star stand up Defender elite elite defensive player he was a star uh defensive player I don't know like what look up his PFF grade Brendan he was the only one that could stopped Kobe Dane uh the defensive end group you were able to pay close attention to man there was there a smattering of like different body types and different age groups of like upper classman underclassman all really impressive huh oh yeah yeah I um I instead of counting how many exactly there was and and having Dead Space there was like yeah literally top to bottom the entire group I thought was really good it wasn't a ton of guys it was like eight or something um around that but literally all of them I was impressed by I mean jaquavius DOD was the only 2025 guy it was mostly talented like already Blue Chip guys in the 2026 class and then there was two really impressive 2027 I thought um maybe I mean they're all really noteworthy the 2026 guys Trent Henderson he's 29 overall and currently ranked it was the first time being ranked like a month ago that was and now he's you know if he were to stay in his spot he'd be a five-star Prospect one of the top Edge guys in the class and he's from Pensacola FS use he said like top three or top five or something when I talked to him afterward but that's you know if there were a leader right now for him I think FSU would like kind of have to be the school you you guess there um cam Brooks is another one he's claimed FSU as the leader for him guy up the up the road and what is it Thomasville right yeah yeah yeah he's another highly ranked guy him and Trent Henderson both were like somewhat limited on the day they didn't do one ones but they look solid in uh in the positional drills you can see like the body types kind of the the power foot builds there and and where they can be by the time they even get to campus and kind of understand why they are so highly ranked um two other 2026 guys that I thought were most impressive ashari Charles from Miami Central I believe and Jay Cru from Orlando um Jay crru earned an offer as well that's notable but ashari Charles and Jay crew I thought were like I thought they were the the best of that edge group um Charles surprised me He's listed at like 6'2 and a half 190 on his profile that's quite outdated at this point he's built really like densely I would say he's got a lot of muscle on him already but he's probably well I I asked him he's he's measured around 63 225 um another guy with a really long arms too and and just watched him that you know might be the biggest concern you naturally would have would be the kind of length he has because he's not very tall but a 68 wingspan is what he measured in at that's pretty good and he's a guy just really nice athlete Chris talked to me afterward about him saying like he used to be a running back uh and you could like that checks out it looks like he could be playing running back right now with how explosive and and bendy he is I mean he's just clearly a very high level athlete and a guy that I'm really G to be looking forward to seeing kind of flourish into what I I think could be a top prospect in that class top Edge rusher in the State of Florida for sure and then Jay kru is really interesting he's just a total technician who's explosive off the ball awesome first step he kind of blows by the like a you know tackle I guess but um we're we're losing Dane I think we're losing he's just so good with his hands though and uh he's really interesting to watch clearly like a student at the game can you actually not hear me or am I no no I think just more mentally we were losing you and there was oh probably but that's okay yeah so Jay kru and and Charles were my kind of top performers of a really stacked group bashari Charles was out of Venice by the way not Miami oh Mr corrector you didn't want to hear the Raja Bell correction but ven Florida actually not Miami Central it's really important to know where this 2027 prospects from um speaking of all this like art we talk about arm length and frames and stuff this entire time I think as we get out of here a really important development danne has a subpar wingspan for his height a did to me talk about it we need to like get it out so then it could heal maybe yeah I need to begin processing that before I like hit somebody in a year from now um yeah so at the seven on Camp did happen to get my wingspan measured I'm about 6 foot and a half 61 just letting you guys know you know kind of not short so don't worry about it but um measured my wingspan um they slowly roll out the number you know began like he's five and I instantly shut down I haven't been the same person since but my wingspan is 511 and a half and yeah I think it's good that I'm saying this out loud I think it'll help me heal but I've been crushed and D destroyed and I've been sleeping a lot to look at one of the coaches and I said oh yeah D's like six' one almost and he just went he winced a little bit so yeah he's used to he's he's been helping recruit defensive backs to Florida State so he's the most skewed wingspan rati height height ratio of anyone in the world anyway let's get out of here I'm so heated all right quick commercial break when we come back uh in the podcast version of this we'll have Brett nevit joining talking about Omaha uh the YouTube version of this will end thank you for watching please continue listening
