Yasmani Grandal after hitting a walkoff home run against the Reds

off the bat I didn't apparently my finish did so I don't know why but as soon as the bat drop I'm usually a homer so but I was just looking for a pitch that I can get in the air I falling the ground there is not good for me so so yeah give it to me and I just put a good what's been working for you offensively the last month so it feels like you're really swinging swinging the bad here yeah my three-year-old keeps telling me to hit homer so every time he said that I've hit a homer so he keeps tell he needs to uh keep telling me the same thing over and over but uh no you know obviously didn't have the spring training so trying to make adjustments in the big Le is really hard luckily for me understanding you know how my body is moving um making the adjustment that I needed to make in order to start producing and start helping these guys out um and then you know it was all a matter of understanding uh where exactly that I you know I was I needed to do damage in and what I needed to let go so um I think you guys seen that for the past I don't know month and a half or so um I think my LPS in the last I don't know maybe two months it's been up in you know high 700s or something like that so yeah we going to continue doing exactly what what I've been doing it fair to say you kind like your mid-season legs right now because of 100% yeah I think that for me that was the hardest part actually getting my my my legs under the spring training is for you have a kind of like a down time spr where you don't really feel much legs are gone time keep I wouldn't change I wouldn't make it any other way this the season I'm having this is going down to there's a chance you might have to catch more frequently see it's a big hit for us OB see he's he's swinging the bat wall it was kind of what we were waiting for right you know one of those guys to start getting it going was going to do it you know he stepped up and started doing the fact that he went down and next turn up now I'm here to do my job I'm here to I'm here to fill in whatever the team needs this you if they want to put me back there for the next 20 then do their best with that last step out against Diaz were you kind of expecting a heavy dose of fast balls just knowing how much he th relies on that pitch I mean I quite frankly not really um they've been attacking me with fast balls all day for some reason they thought I was sitting soft and it was just I was just late because you two days without seeing a pitch uh it doesn't matter what you do on the cage you know on the machine you know uh somebody actually throwing a ball at you is completely different um and they just happened that what I needed was velocity he had the velocity to get it to where he needed to be I think uh the numbers show this year that doesn't matter how hard you throw most likely don't get barreled to so um so yeah it just so happened that that's what it was it was a matter of just seeing velocity and um you know the first two guys did great they they they they wenten right at me um and I just didn't have an answer for them uh just happened that I did for him you said your kid was telling you to hit home runs what do you think his reaction was then I have no idea I would have loved to have seen it um but I'll FaceTime him and see see what he says but yeah definitely the last four homers every time I speak to him he tells me the same thing Dad you need to hit homewor all right cool
