PWHL Team Name Rankings

hey what's up guys welcome back to the channel welcome back to another Sports ranking video so today I'll be honest I actually was not planning on doing a video today I had something totally planned for either tomorrow or or the day after but uh the pwl professional women's hockey league finally released uh their names and logos for the six teams that they have uh for the past year they've only been using uh the city name as their team name uh was just a word mark uh similar to what Utah is doing this year so I thought it'd be kind of fun since recently I ranked uh every NFL team name from 32 to 1 and a few months ago I did the NHL team names 32 to1 so I'm just going to rank the names only today maybe in the future I will rank the logos but I thought I'd just rank the names only so it's going to be a short video cuz there's only six teams so let's get into it and in last place I have the Minnesota Frost um I'm not judging the logo cuz I actually like the logo but see it's last place and the logo is actually pretty good I just don't like the name because when I think of frost I think of blue and white not purple and black and I I the the the trademark thing that they had was the Minnesota superior but I will say that Frost is better than superior but it's not it's not going to be uh my favorite name in the in the list it's also when I think of Minnesota I know that there the Minnesota Vikings do use purple and yellow but I I think of green you know I think of you know with the North Stars uh Minnesota Wild Minnesota Timberwolves Minnesota lyns from the WNBA so you know like I'm not saying like oh they have to use green but Minnesota Frost just I don't like it in fifth place I have the boston Fleet it's okay I mean when I look I didn't understand what a fleet was until I looked it up it's like a bunch of ships getting together so I guess it's good for a team name but it sounds awkward it's uh it is original I will give them that but uh yeah it's uh it's not my favorite and I'll be honest I don't really like a lot of these but uh I will I will say it's probably better than Wicked even though Wicked does sound it sounds good now but I feel like long term it wasn't going to sound good is I don't understand what is it supposed to be like witches or something like what what's Wicked so it is better than Wicked but it's fifth place all right next we have in fourth place Toronto the Toronto scepter I that's my team I guess um because I I'm in Toronto uh I don't think it's better than torches or Toronto torch that was a trademark name that was rumored to be uh but I heard that there's some controversy because apparently it was like in French it was a a derogatory tour term I don't know but uh Toronto scepter I mean it's better than Fleet and frost uh I don't think it's better than than torch and yeah that's all I have to say it's not uh it's not my favorite but it's it's a middle of the road I guess in third place victoire de Montreal or Montreal victories Montreal victoire um I tried avoiding watching other hockey channels uh ranking these or commenting on these I did see the hockey guy uh mention that if you're going to be called the Victory and you're losing it doesn't sound good and and yeah he's right but it is a good name it's better it's better than echko that's for damn sure Montreal echko that was the trademark name um not not a good uh that wasn't a good one V vire sounds a lot better than Ekko and in second place I have Ottawa charge now I'm definitely not ranking the logo as I said I know there's a lot of people online mentioning uh mentioning that it's too close to the Calgary uh Flames but uh I like the name charge I mean if you saw that NFL ranking uh team name uh regarding the Chargers um spoiler alert it was uh it's ranked a little high for a team name I like it but it just doesn't feel Ottawa I don't know it just feels like maybe with Ottawa I'm just used to the black and red red and gold maybe that's what the Jersey is going to be I don't know but in terms of names I like the name charge it is better than alert that's that's for sure and finally in first place the New York Sirens I like it a lot actually cuz it's uh it's better than sound I think that was the that was the the the trademark name New York sounds New York siren sounds a lot better and I feel like it's it's almost like it's close to the Rangers in a way cuz the Rangers if think of Rangers I think of like a Texas Ranger uh authority figure so sirens sounds pretty good actually and I like the colors even though I'm not ranking the jerseys or logos but I do like the colors I feel like it's uh it's almost like New York island dur fisherman colors uh but I like the name Sirens it's uh it's different and the one thing I will say about all these uh six names is that uh they are original or not original but like I don't think any professional sports teams or minor league teams have them even though Frost feels Bland yeah so
