🛳 OUR room tour on the Villa Vie Odyssey | Continuous World Cruise 🚢 | E30

[Music] hey good morning friends I'm Steve and I'm Angela and we are midlife cruising today we're going to take you on a tour of our own personal Villa we're really excited to show you what we've done so far we feel like we're unpacked we're organized everything in its place so we really hope you enjoy it and if something comes up along the way feel free to put put it in the comments below so we are currently sitting in Belfast on the Villa V Odyssey during construction on the ship can you hear it in the background they can hear it so it is what it is so we are here every morning in until the evening we spend our days on board and then at the end of the day we go home and stay in a hotel until we receive clearance so we're in the final days of inspections and certifications sea trials are coming up which will be off ship for that um but it's just getting closer and closer we're trying to be patient um hanging out on board while construction's going on I've had so many questions about oh the carpet I'm like oh they're changing that one and you you just have to realize she's an old lady but she's an oldie but a goodie and I think they saw the potential in her and they're bringing her back to life and just like all of us old ladies we need some maintenance and that's what they're doing giving her a glow up if you will we bought our Villa on Deck 3 but currently deck 3 is getting renovated renovated yes and so they've moved us up to four into an ocean view well the crew are on Deck three they're renovating two for the crew because once they purchase the ship they realize they had four crew po per room and the owners wanted to make it a little bit better lifestyle for them so putting two per room for the crew so two's being renovated and during that time crew are staying on three um we even met the crew members staying in our room ironically but um so right now the crew are on three so the people on three were moved to other rooms we happen to now be for Ocean View how we're going to ever give up the ocean view is beyond me once the renovations are done then on three they're going to do a renovation there as well aren't they correct after the crew move out then they'll renovate three for us uh new carpet all the things um and then people who were moved will get moved back but anyway we're gonna try to see if we can make that happen to stay on four because we've done so much to our room because I you know I want to move in it's like our home and you want to make your home just how you want it so we're starting to get attached to our room already already already we took a nap two days ago we had nap we went and had nap time it was very nice so if we do say that we're not sleeping on board I guess that's not being 100% honest true we are we are napping here and and uh it's been nice yes so no wait it's been amazing oh yes amazing so we are sleeping in a hotel at night but we come over first thing in the morning we have brunch on board we have dinner on board and oh the food oh so you know we're Cruisers we've been on I don't know probably 50 cruises by now in our lifetime and we were just on two different cruises so we've spent 31 out of the last 60 days on a cruise and and right before we came to Belfast in March we were on a different cruise line so three Cru in May so three other Cruise Lines um so we feel we can speak to the food so it's hard to compare cruises when you're on one and a year later you go on another Cruise Line and you're like oh but the food it's but when you're like within a few month window you've done several cruise lines I feel like okay we're qualified we're qualified feel we're qualified I I do have a pallette of a 12-year-old but he has a great palette but we've been pleasantly surprised because I was nervous you know you can deal with cruise food for a week or a month but I'm like we're living here but every day I'm like oh this is so good I'm so excited and there's certain foods like I I really like having spinit on the and I've seen it a few times like there's just certain things you really want I won't name names but the cruise we just did finding a green vegetable on the buffet at lunch or dinner I was like just even just one please and they've had that here so I've been really happy with that um nice selection yeah last night we had uh I would call comfort food we had a really delicious macaroni and cheese and it wasn't it wasn't craft uh A really lovely uh spinach salad um both of those were just incredible well seasoned um the flavors were great and I was ecstatic oh I had this uh Soul was it Souls the name of the fish like this lemon sauce so good more construction that's just proof they're working hard but we're you know it is what it is and currently they are just serving Us in the buffet and once we get rolling they'll open the second um main dining room and then we have a third one that's coming in the future which we're actually sitting I think we're in the main dining room right now they don't have the tablecloths or anything like that um but this is the main dining room we happen to be sitting and filming in and so the food's been lovely pleasantly surprised definitely above my expectations so thrilled with that um they've been entertaining us we have you know different music and they've done trivia already just you know giving us a taste of what's to come um the Gym's open I've already gone I think three times so have another one today um your stretch classes yoga like so they're really starting to ramp things up so that's also exciting but we know you're here for the tour so we'll go ahead and show you our room uh now enjoy come along hey guys the time has come time to tour our Villa [Music] welcome here we are welcome to our home [Music] so we're spending our days on board the Villa Odyssey we have not yet received clearance to sleep on board and for filming purposes we went ahead and kept the beds separate we're not really sure how we're going to do them we are thinking about turning them with our heads there facing this way we could push them together um um and then go around the sides we just haven't decided yet but this is I believe day four or five that we've been allowed on board and we think we have her pretty much wrapped up because the room was already a light blue we went ahead and figured let's not break the bank let's try to be as Frugal as possible um so we try to get colors that basically you know complement that so the duvet were provided there's a little uh thin type mattress pad underneath but we changed out the pillows added our own decorative pillows and throws at the end notice we have lights with a reading light Below on both sides and our fake plants I'm not a fan of fake plants but I am a huge plant lover so this is the best I can do we did change out the artwork that is ours there was another one here and we had it removed these curtains are already here I've heard they've ordered some new ones and there'll be some changes down the road but again we were trying to make everything just cohesive for now these two end tables aren't our favorite but again for now I think they're sufficient and I'm afraid to look in them cuz I don't think I checked okay I don't have much in here now I have a flashlight a selfie stick uh magnesium sleeping cream okay I'm not too bad I was nervous all right what's down here I have oh my readers earplugs you know just but there's plenty of room it's I guess like a junk drawer I have a little sewing kit in there my book I have a battery operated camera we added this just a little few decorative features I'll come back around this way and if you can see this corner the chair is pretty standard again with the blues we added our alpaca blanket we bought in Ecuador um and then when we were looking for things to fancy up the room we added these two baskets cuz they're also storage and I tease that one of them's my snack bin I have some peanuts and dark chocolate and all kinds of goodies in there already another plant uh these are actually magnetic super strong I believe they're normally for spice racks but we bought them thinking just in case we need more space I don't even have anything on them yet another reading light and this is just a magnetic calendar that I'm thinking I may use once we set sale I could list all the ports and with what date maybe excursions or anything we may do um just still it's all work in progress but that's what we have for that so far chair is pretty comfortable it's clean so I I'm okay with that we added this mirror over here I have some hooks hanging a few things just my hats F length mirror show you the closet space in a moment this is an ocean view room and it's I believe 140 square ft so this top shelf I found these kind of cardboard type bins that you just put together and they're great for storage and can be a decorative piece at the same time we were in Greenland last month so I found this little I do like blue so that worked out glass more fake plants I bought a few little tea towels there's and I have actual tea stored behind it I like my afternoon tea when I can third shelf um the Illy which is a great you know Italian coffee brand was was included it does have both um the espresso and cup size um it actually is coffee pads instead of PODS if you've heard of that um they're coffee pads and I believe they're providing those I'm pretty sure I've heard that but this is brand new and it was provided by the ship they also provided ceramic cups which we changed out um cuz I'm all about matchy matchy so I got these and I have some random coffee things back here my Stevie a a little frother if I need it extra USB as you see there's this is a Us Port and the one below it is European those are my vitamins hiding back there right now and Steve had to be allowed to have a little bit of liquor and I said as long as it fits in this tiny little shelf it won't drive me too crazy phone you can call guest reception in other rooms here's our air controller it's a little different in each room some have key cards some have that and again we have an American and a European plug and you can add your adapters that switches for the light at the desk oops and I just turned the light off and backing up this is the top of our desk I bought this basket just to you know throw the odds and ends in kind of a neat freak you don't like loose stuff everywhere we bought the world's tiniest perfumes for the tiniest cabin little flowers for a pop of color and the TV in a minute I'll have Steve turned that on and show you how it swivels and all the amazing programs that are already set up I'm not sure yeah I think I already said we talked about the artwork now let me show you under the bed I've added three bins uh one I have seasonal stuff in it cold weather stuff um you know extra clothes you know just anything really extra hygiene products that I prefer to use um they slide in pretty easily of course I just hit a snafu cuz we have cardboard under there right now I'll have Steve put it back um but they do slide in and out very well I just need to get rid of that cardboard that's under there okay so now I'm going to show you the closet this one is mine and I will tell you ladies right now I have 55 hangers with something hanging on them 55 way more than I ever thought I could fit I changed out for the thinner ones and all I hung up over my shirts and then I have a bunch of dresses here um I have a few shoes down at the bottom I'm going to also have our hamper there but it's still at the hotel so I don't have it here I did hang some magnetic hooks for some bags hats and such there and I have some jackets and long sleeves down here at the bottom but I'm thinking I could never fit all my clothes but I do have some under the bed but I'm like why do I have 55 it seems so excessive so I think it's ample space for what it is here's a shoe rack we bought which we're using for random storage I have lint brush our cup holders this is my gym cup extra tea have pair of sandals my bigger shoes actually we have really big feet so don't laugh I know some of you are going what yeah I have a 10 and 1 half and Steves are even bigger so but this works for us it's just extra storage and on this side Steve's I haven't counted his but he's using the shelving for his stuff lots of hangers this is The Refrigerator in our room it's pretty cold nice little shelf for reference of [Music] size uh maybe a wine bottle sideways you definitely put probably easily 10 bottles or cans of water soda whatever we're thinking coffee creamer maybe but we don't even have anything in there and then we have these three drawers at the desk that I've decided to use for random things I made this little tiny one into a little makeup drawer so I have some makeup in there it's very shallow but it works and then this top one um I have my own haird dryer the ship offered us one as well so it's there I haven't moved it yet and just odds and ends and I think this might be yes it's the unmentionable drawer you know socks and such and then down here I have pants and shorts so that's kind of my dresser and then again we have have the desk Steve wants to show you how easy his bends he's bragging he doesn't have the cardboard so he put his extra shoes in there looks like he as many as I do and then that's a random one with extra coffee and creamer and I see a bunch of my teas back there a big bag of Q-tips so just extra stuff that we don't need uh regularly it's just kind of our backups so we are currently in an ocean view we're on Deck four and now I will take you to the bathroom before I do I don't think I showed you there's a standard hook here and then I added some magnetic hooks which are such a must go on Amazon and get you these little ones and then they have a really strong strength one um I even recommend those more cuz they can hold you know really heavy stuff I'm just not into cluttered mess so I can keep those behind the door and not really see them and then we have these heavy ones that can hold you know that's full of stuff so it's pretty strong so now we'll head into the bathroom and here it is so I brought my own carpet this is about I want to say 16 by 28 Maybe 30 someone asked about rug size um but pushing it this way it's more for the shower um it fits I added uh two bins underneath so Steve gets one and I get one for daily use hygiene Etc and we did add three more of these black shelves these are all magnetic and I order them on Amazon and if you've seen some of the other room tours there's these round silver things that youed to hold soap and like paper cups back in the day so we just remove them all and put our own shelves and it looks so much better to us so those also were on Amazon I added my own soap uh dispenser and the white towels all come with the room we just added a few more um these are the ones that came with the room added just this little cup holder I was pleasantly surprised with the medicine cabinet um you just have a few things in there not too big but just random extra storage which has been pretty nice and they do have the cleanex and in the shower this is what they are providing for us this says body wash shampoo and conditioner I've not tried any of them we haven't showered here yet um I have my own conditioner I've added up here and there is the shower handle they have the little pull across string like most cruise ships so if you want to wash something or if you have a wet bathing suit what have you um it's not too terrible we have spent many a time in an interior cabin and this isn't any smaller than any other one we've been in smaller actually so we are okay with that let's see I think I have everything in here I don't there's no electric plugs you have this um I guess it's for men's Shavers with a switch and I think that's it for the [Music] bathroom switch for the bathroom so this is the TV you can swivel it towards the bed towards the chair it does swivel but as you can see the first section says TV movies and music Villa V today will be the daily schedule your crws food and drink probably will include menus destination Services the spa Guest Services Etc so I'll show you a few things it's currently on TV movies and music so I'm going to click it to movies and and let's click on drama and then there's some choices there so I'm really excited about this um sometimes when you just need to get away be in your room and have some quiet time it's nice to be able to flip on the TV um and just have options the weather station you know I'm I'm if you've been on a prin say ship it's very similar so this is where they will eventually have the daily schedule and again you can turn it to see the beds or the chair whatever works it's a 43 in TV well thank guys for coming along on our room tour uh you probably saw my little bourbon setup there uh I do enjoy one from time to time that's one of the perks here is that you can bring beer wine uh bourbon on board it's completely allowed it's essentially our home so we can bring it there and then if we want to have a drink outside of the bar we can do it um and what does the ship offer as far as what's the included part two beer or wine at lunch lunch and two beer or wine per person at dinner so it's a great perk so that's something that's included in your fee um so the stuff you bring on board is extra and of course you can buy more outside of that but on on the ship as well so that's just one more of the perks um someone asked um me that they said oh there's no more Interiors left but just know that because they are renovating deck two and we have crew on three eventually some will open up so if you are truly interested in one of those interior rooms or anything on three I think a lot of them in the future will be available so keep watching the website um for V we have it linked in the description below just come back every week I do know some people who've already upgraded they were in interior and went to Ocean View or Ocean View to balcony so it's not a oh it's done it's sold out keep checking back because as as things get remodeled and renovated things will pop up they're they're there and feel free
