Pontins prestatyn { should the site reopen as a Adults only holliday village }

after bosses announced it was to close immediately hello that's where I am today that's where I am today uh pontins pattin the one that closed down um it closed down in December last year same as the last one that I went to um as you can see it says park now closed and it's all overgrown see it's all overgrown and uh now what what really doing this SP people have done this is to say they could turn it into adult's only um Holiday Park so you can see all the all the grass is overgrown and uh see all the glass is overgrown and uh there's no signs that it's ever going to be reopened so you can see just be there I'll get my zoom camera in a minute so we have a little Zoom so uh you can see exactly what's going on I'm not going to go up to the gate and annoy the security I'm just going to do a video about it and uh well say my thoughts it's sh they closed and uh you can see that some of the things need um is uh I'll just pause that here and uh zoom in on my other camera as you can see it's still still bits some Furnishing still left inside the uh Chalet so there still bits there and the grass is vastly overgrown see someck here got bits inside the ches yeah all closed down about in December last year and uh well it's not going to beop I don't think um with the head closed last year uh I think this was the biggest one of the uh Ponting sites um so I went to um pakefield and Sand Bay they're still open see as you can see the grass is a bit overgrown it's uh been closed well about 8 or 9 months at time of filming those P it's been close eight or n months as as uh of filming as you can see it's all uh completely closed off just making a video you what they do with this place um I don't know I've been looking online and they they say but is went to B something I've heard that so are they going flatten it you know uh I think they would do the state of it was since I seen been well uh been up some years you remember watching the film on the B oh yeah it's filmed there down here before you do flatten it have you ever stopped uh no I haven't I haven't I've only ever been too p field and at San Bay but Pat hotel is actually still it's a shame but I mean the reports we've heard it last year have been terrible reports on it clean you know I clean yeah I come down here to uh make a video on the outside I've seen videos of people climbing on inside why is nothing in there we I've seeing I mean I look you can see bedrooms there all mattresses and still in yeah is immigrants are going to be there or Sayan it depends what structures like it but then again when you look at it it's like a bit like concentration camp got fence around a it yeah all right ni speaking to you say's the old uh the old gate where uh they uh filmed the on the buses standing Blakey stood that gate there and really see much down there but there's the old entrance to the uh park there uh as you can see B quite insane they should have um they should open it up as a adults only Holiday Park I reckon as you can see the uh roofs coming off that tent that tent fall apart there that was broken anyway when walk me Tim came here to uh R the place um as you can see see look it's all overgrown so what I'm going to do now is I'm going to go around the back and film what I can see around the back come out with my uh zoom camera and see what I can list the uh s around the back so you can't really see much but it's all you know for a bits loads of damage or storm damage done been like that for years um I zoom in there see as you can see it's all and still bits and pieces inside the uh and overgrown uh let's have a look yeah it says this park is now closed as you can see there and overgrown too um it's a shame they couldn't do as I say it's a shame they can't do something with all this uh housing for homeless or something uh get people the um uh people into to repair this repair The Joint you know get it all put back into um usable use that's what it should do put back into usable use so have people holiday in here again so many people have had memories at this place pardon me and uh it all just went overnight see as you can see there's nothing really much to see now all the bushes and the roof is falling off so before long all this would well be be ruined see it's way over going you can't really see much further of me it's all overgrown I think that's as far as I can go with this and I'm back around this side I'm back around the front now um I say there's not really much of the see there anymore it's all uh overgrown as well as I said in the other parts um yeah so my idea to reap my idea is get people to help do the place up have the grass cut have the properties repaired uh volunteers up people community service even get people who's on community service to do a community a uh a good deed and we uh do work on the park as part community service break the law get them to you see got all bed all the beding still in there and I think we're still ready to go so all the bit still in there got fridges cookers and everything still in there um fridges cookers and I think it's all way to go what you do is cut the glass repair the buildings and uh we open it as a kidy park or sell the kids stuff off and open it like pakefield and Sand Bay as a adults only Holiday Village that would work too uh pretend your are watching this uh that would actually be a good idea and then the site will be put back into what it original purpose was as at all of day park all of on the bus was made in 1973 here I just checked up my phone so that's when that was opened up that was filmed there 1973 as you can see now all dered and overgrown and please do you have any explorers please stop going here and um climbing the fence there nothing to see it's old Kitty um Holiday Park it's got all the bits there still they can do wear all the kids bits and turn into adults Holiday Park that would be a good idea if prend hotel is watching this uh that's what I'd recommend personally but really there's nothing here to see apart from some old tents and the old Kitty playground and stuff like that and loads of overgrown grass and derel buildings this all there you can see there's nothing really to see her anymore it's all overgrown see so yeah uh adults other day Village I don't only all day Village or I um reopen it as a kitty's uh all part just get people to cut the grass and do the buildings up stuff what need's doing anyway job done and Pang rotels potentially could make some uh profit out of the place again it's sitting there doing nothing you see so it's just an idea a very good idea come think about that but it is an idea I'll put a conversation with one of the locals in with the video as well so you see what one of the locals think uh Butlins I think has had interest in the park what I've read online on Wales online I'm not from Wales from but I read it online before I come down here to a bit of research so I can know what I'm talking about they close same time as um uh what's that place called campas SS in Sussex they both close exactly the same day it's a shame but that's what happened uh I'm going to end the video a bit further up uh as I say not really much I'm not going to go down to the gate and speak to the security there's no point doing that cuz as you could well see it's all closed it's completely closed off and overgrown and ain't going to change anytime soon all right just making a video kind sad really all on the bus was built from there too weren it that all on the buses were filming there as well oh yeah yeah I was watching that on TV and this I it closed down oh no it's really sad then you had the people coming on the internet U slagging the place off about I mean it's always the Shadows have always been a bit Rough and Ready yeah um they weren't up to scrap but when brought it out they should have done it all up but they didn't so they let it go but um yeah I used I used to do weekenders here every um every year cuz I I am local I'm only around the corner yeah but it's so sad the way it's yeah I don't know what I'll happen to it now I went to the one in pakefield and that's roughly the same it's all overgrown there's there's airs in the bath and stuff like that there was the door hand door hand was falling off but the cook the um cooker was dirty I thought what batania hotel's doing that's that's still open that's still open that's still open that is a shame this is a shame but hey ho Ponting Fred Ponting me turning his grave wouldn't he yeah definitely he would yeah he would thank you Che to for talking one final look at the place before I leave and go back home there's all the uh shetes overgrown and disused let's see if I can zoom in a bit or overgrown not used the grass as I say need a good cut and a bit of work doing should do the trick if you know what I mean I'm not going to get no sky in there too so yeah uh reopen the park and get it reused again cu the locals as you heard in I SP to local in the video they they got fun memories of the place and the Tano Clos hotel is closing the place down that's uh a sad a Qui shame that is they should reopen the place cut the grass and that's it really and clean the shallies a bit a liquor paint and uh a little liquor paint and uh Bob's your uncle they can reopen the place again and cut the grass let say community service even people do the community service get them in there to uh do uh their bit for the community it all helps and if the place reopens I reckon a lot of people would visit the place as you can see there bits missing off the building too where it's goingn off during local storms if you look carefully carefully there's all the uh bits and pieces still left inside I just get a through there you have a little look not sure if you can see that but there still bits and pieces still left in there video TVs washing machines cookers all still there so yeah it's all ready to go all you got to do is uh reopen the place and Bob your uncle but just look at it now the grass as I said all overgrown what a shame right what a shame anyway I've made this video long enough I think uh this is an extra if I feel like adding it that is down there just get that there overgrown so it's all overgrown and disused it's like a field in there I say don't try going on there people and open explorers people want to go on there don't go on there there's nothing to see as I said but yeah I'm going to end this video here uh put my camera back in the car actually I'll go to the beach actually take some pictures on the at the beach but yeah uh I supposed to end the video on the last bit but I'll end it here actually it's going to be a long one I'll cut bits out anyway so it won't be as long as what it was when I filmed it it be there's more to it than what I actually put in the video but yeah from pontins imper satin Sands I'm going to uh end it here finally but yeah but anyway thank you holidaying at the park over the years but it does seem to have been de in Decline for a while doesn't it yes I think that's true it's been a a story of decline both in standards and reputation but you have to remember pontins has been a source of work for between one and 200 people and suddenly those jobs have gone suddenly and without warning
