hi there my name is Maddie I am a Los angeles-based social media and marketing professional and today I'm applying for the position of marketing manager with wend Outdoors before I get into anything work rated I want to tell you a little bit about myself I born and raised in the great state of Washington directly across the Columbia River from Portland Oregon growing up in a place that's so naturally beautiful but with direct access to a city that's so vibrant fun and food obsessed like Portland really shaped me into the person I am today day I love getting outside I love being active but I also love food I love trying new restaurants I love movies I love culture and I love to read when I was in college I went to boisey State University one of the Great Outdoor universities of the west where I majored in media arts with an emphasis and media studies and journalism with a minor in Psychology I've always wanted to work in social media I've always wanted to help build Brands that's what I went to University for and I have found myself time and time again working with small to midsize business businesses to create their social media presence to help them grow to help them Reach higher and higher Heights and it's definitely a true love of mine after about 5 years in Idaho I decided the next logical place to move was of course Los Angeles and I've been here for the last 3 years it's here in La that I've really really come to cultivate A Love Like I said of movies I'm a part of the American Cinema Tech Community reading acting entertainment and trying all the amazing food and outdoor activities that this the city has to offer which there are many why should you hire me a lot of my friends call me the Eternal cheerleader I'm someone that gives 50% to everything that I do I am passionate excited a good communicator and a team player there is nothing that I love like working with a group of people to make something a reality and then doing it I love to be creative and I love to make things which is why I love social media I feel like it's an extension of self almost like an art form but I also love digging in into what works and what doesn't and continuing to Pivot and make the things that we want to do a reality I'm really looking for a place that I can be a part of a team and be around for a while I'm looking for a job that I can truly invest in and be invested in back I think that I could be a great fit with my ongoing lifelong connection to the outdoors but with my skilled understanding of social media and my understanding of interpersonal relationships and everything that it takes to be good in marketing at this time so I look forward to hearing from you and thank you for the opportunity to apply
