and that's that my friends tonight's game now means that we have qualified for this year's Europa conference League group stages and we enter the group stages in the most boring uninspiring and pretty mediocre fashion that I think none of us wanted to actually see now we're all fans and when never a fan of anything watches what they support play you want to feel like your investment has been rewarded listen we are smart people we can separate understanding okay the team needs more time to get used to marasa ways of playing they need more time to get used to each other's ways of playing time process we know how this stuff goes but there's another perspective and that perspective is the fan side where you want to feel that sense that your time and investment has been rewarded a little bit and sadly is one of those games where nothing was rewarded whatsoever now we can keep things objective cuz we ain't dumb people and one of the big major reasons behind why the football was so bad and why the intensity was kind of on and off throughout large parts of this entire game was due to the terrible quality of the pitch today now it makes sense for svette to put out a pitch like this because their game plan today was to get balls out white and spam crosses inside the books it worked for them in the first level he looks quite poor and indifferent defending anything aerial anything from set pieces etc etc so it makes sense for them to give us a terrible pitch because they're playing at home from their intense fans were doing a Madness behind the scenes with the fireworks and the theatrics and the celebrations and all of that because they have that familiarity of playing in their stadium so that was a big TX Advantage for them which definitely worked because it did really disrupt a lot of our passing plays our combination plays and we regularly saw ideas not really come into life and what I mean by that is the passing behind that we could all see the guy wanted us to play couldn't get played because the ball then took a mad bounce out from nowhere or just little details like that scattered throughout the game today so it wasn't great and I think one of the reasons why the game was also quite mid was because players didn't want to put themselves in any situation whatsoever where they picked up any slight knocks or injuries or anything and I think the main example of that was non madw because listen the GU is on absolute fire right now everyone's watching him he's like one of the hot names to the start of the new Prem season he's got his first call up to the England national team squad he's now showing he's our number one right winger in the team right now he doesn't want all this hard work to mean nothing because he picked up some stupid injury in a game where everyone thought we were set to win this regardless right so I can understand why the application on sh was inconsistent wasn't great at times and sadly the only people who paid the price for this was us fans who who struggle to even watch this game on the club's app and website and I think to myself you know the audacity for the club sometimes to constantly find scheming ways to make money when the infrastructure isn't even good enough to handle this I mean bro people for over an hours trying to get on the club site to be able to buy this game forced to buy this game only for the club in the end to realize listen the infrastructure is dead it can't handle or run nothing at all I'm going to put it out there for free regardless and that happened like well for myself I realized 30 minutes into the start of the first half they could have just done a kind gesture made this a free stream right from the start for everyone to see but of course they need to try and nickeling down the fans some way they can right so that was a little bit disappointing I'll keep things real I wanted to say that but to be honest in a game like this what do you really learn you know in terms of the positives I think maybe the only positive performer I'd really say could leave he with his head held high would actually be Mao mudri now of course his action when he chased down that ambitious long Bard attempt in behind from ronal s Vega that wasn't by accident that wasn't a fluke because especially in that first half he was like the main weapon down that left hand side and the main outlet for the team to you know get him behind serve and mudri showed a lot of Promise in his movement he showed a lot of that Pedro Network style movement where come on that game against wolves bro this guy was literally just like not occupying the Left Flank with much Authority not occupying the half spaces or anything between the lines with authority he was just floating about doing nothing constantly looking to cut inside all the time and just waste possession and waste our time but today he finally realized you know what I'm one of the fastest players in the Premier League imagine what I could do for my team if I'm timing my runs in behind out wide and perfect fashion to disrupt and stretch the opposition team and A lot of times he would have been rewarded for this run if the quality of service was in his favor and I would say for about 75% of this game the great movement and runs that mudri was making wasn't getting rewarded because the quality could not find him due to the pitch players attitudes and many other things as well but I didn't think this was a bad performance from him you know at times you want to see a little bit more but mudri is one of those guys where I can see why people are going to put you know pray and hope that something Clicks in this guy's head eventually because little actions like how his you know his Poise on the ball his body balance how he can like shift this balance from one foot to the other the acceleration from acceleration from Stop to Start positions how he controls the ball like you constantly see him control it like the Brazilian way like outside the uh the boot controls like he has that in his game but out outside of showing that he is a player he doesn't demonstrate that with his head yet so I would say today at least that this was a little starter of hopefully Madrick continuing to develop his footballing brain this season and if he realizes that his pace is an outlet out why can help the team that can at least offer us something right so listen he didn't set the world on fire but it wasn't bad and at least he was bringing something for the team and it resulted in the penalty that was W today so fair enough right but outside of that listen we had a few other moments in the game at times obviously the first half in kungu I thought he looked bright at times at least he was like making things happen probably like up there with madri to be fair with you the keeper came out to close the distances to force a save um he had another moment in the second half of the header from Cole Pal's cross with his weaker foot I mean I like in kungu I do there's some nice skills but I think on three occasions he was just um you know just like passing the ball around a on-rushing opponent just to skip past him he won a lot of free kicks for the team Su um you know I feel like he is someone where if we do sign a Simon I'd be really curious to see how both these guys were to combine together because I think they could make a lot of sense based on how n in kungu would profit from the big man upfront that played at ARB labig but outside of that you guys you know you could probably say there was more disappointing performances actually that's the light badill I thought was decent I know he'll be criticized for his role he played in the defending but for myself I think both TOs and badia equally should be criticized and that comes from the lack of defensive partnership bonding and understanding and that's what happens when you haven't formed that relationship over time but I have to give him his grace because he did play tons of great line breaking passes he played tons of progressive passes that kickstarted moves that released Madrick on the left inside that pushed us up the field he was very good in the passing department and that deserves some credit in my opinion but I think outside of those three players yeah the rest was just kind of a bit mids to be fair with you you know I felt like when the subs came on the second half even more discipline uh left the team and unsurprisingly ser started to put more pressure on us and it's a little bit worrying that we don't really deal with any like boun SP situations it's a bit worrying how susceptable we were at the cut back cross especially from the wide position time and time again like guys are so positional in this positional play that the moment the ball goes in any area that's not near them no one know no one knows what to do you're looking at your teammate to bail you out and then nothing's really made any sense so clearly a long way to go but I'm hoping in this game today this was not the strong indication of masasa ball weaknesses and more you know circumstantial uh you know reasons behinds bu the football was quite poor today because of the pitch players attitudes etc etc but I don't know man as I said when you're a fan and when you invest time and when you put in all this effort which we all did to try and watch this nothing game you just want to feel like that is rewarded sometimes that's all it comes down to this is why I can get sometimes when like Stadium going fans will be a bit annoyed when the balls not play quickly enough or we're being too patient or we're doing this we're doing that because just feel like well you know where's my entertainment value from this right I mean the football wasn't necessarily bad like throughout the whole game it had its moments especially when you could see the ideas of things right the execution was dead throughout most times but the ideas weren't dead like even little examples like The Possession play stuff where you know them times we were starting to maybe fall the sleep when the ball was played backwards The Defenders for the 10th time actually moments were produced like when to Naro was able to just like carry the ball bypass like five um svette players and kickstar an attack you know this football once it's mastered it can produce these types of moments where players can express their individuality and make things happen and I saw like maybe three four five occasions that type of football had its promise right but again I'm praying that it was just these men not taking the game serious against AET because H honestly I was praying for this game to Ends by the end of it because yeah I'm hungry I'm tired and you know this this game did not excite me I was waiting for this game I think all of us were after thrashing destroying wolf 62 this is the best we got so my friends I'm going to wrap things up now keep things moving keeping
