those were the top quarterbacks in 2022. But if we take a look at the 2025 class that is where you see those top five QBs. You see the logos next to the names. There's a lot of committed prospects in this group, but as we're about to explain to you, committed does not necessarily mean locked in. So with that as the backdrop, let's welcome in national recruiting analyst Tom Lloyd to talk about some of the visitors for campuses this weekend. And Tom, there's a lot of drama. If you hear me surrounding the number five quarterback in the class, Deuce Knight, you see him on that lis. He's been committed to Notre Dame for almost a full year, but you are still predicting a flip to Auburn and that's exactly where he'll be this weekend. When could that flip happen? It could happen this weekend, to be completely honest. I mean, it could possibly drag out over the next couple of days, but I'm not feeling any more confident about Notre Dame keeping him in the class. Auburn has done a phenomenal job there, getting him on campus this weekend, not rolling out Ole Miss either. Long term. However, in the end, I just feel like he's going to be a tiger. I think the Tigers have done a great job. Hugh Freeze and his staff has made him priority number one, so I really expect Auburn to get that done. And one other nugget for Auburn fans out there, don't be surprised if the crystal ball starts trending for five star cornerback Naim Offer the cornerback commit for Ohio State. Don't be surprised if Auburn flips him eventually as well. Well, speaking of five star prospects, another one defensive lineman Elijah Griffin. Now he is currently uncommitted. We're talking about a lot of committed prospects looking elsewhere, he still doesn't have a decision. He's visiting Georgia this weekend, the number one defensive lineman in the country and the crystal balls have him landing with the dogs. So when should we expect a decision from him? I feel great about Georgia's chances. They are loading up along the defensive line. Big shocker right with Kirby Smart there, keep an eye on Miami. Keep an eye on USC. Georgia is doing a phenomenal job here. It's just hard to see him picking another school other than Georgia. When Kirby Smart gets what Kirby Smart wants, don't surprise me at all. If Elijah Griffin, five star defensive tackle Justin Terry, they both end up in Athens at Georgia. All right, another five star prospect, cornerback D.J. Pickett. He is the number one player in the talent rich state of Florida. That goes a long way. He will be in the swamp for that Sunshine State showdown against Miami. All that said, though, Tom, he's currently committed to LSU. So how should Tigers fans feel about this visit? I think it's something worth monitoring for sure. His commitment, not the timing of it, came, came as a surprise, but really the destination because it was really a battle between yet LSU, Florida, Oregon, Miami, all in play commits to LSU. But I know how back and forth things were down the stretch. There was multiple multiple teams still battling a lot. A lot of schools in play, I think at this point you call LSU the leader, but that's really about it. Long way to go. This will run to signing day, or at least the early signing period. But you got to feel good if you're LSU. But I do not feel great about their chances. Yeah this is certainly the time of year that you sweat some of those early commitments as they start to travel across the country to other campuses. Another five star wide receiver, Caleb Cunningham, he's the number one player in Mississippi. He has one crystal ball in for Ole Miss. But for then in for Alabama, he's going to spend the weekend in Oxford. So where do things stand with the rebels? Right now? I think the rebels have a legitimate shot. They're doing a really good job. They've been, you know obviously in-state guy, but I think another school you got to watch is Auburn. I think Auburn feels they could flip him. This is kind of the deuce Knight effect. Auburn feels that they can land Deuce Knight. And that's going to you know sway Caleb Cunningham to wanting to play with them. They know each other. They're pretty close. So Auburn's optimistic. Ole Miss is optimistic Alabama thinks they feel great about their chances and they can keep him. Let's be honest it's not like Alabama has some scrub quarterback committed in the 2025 class. They have five star quarterback Keelan Russell locked in. He's about as legit as you'll find. So really kind of watching all three of those schools. It's going to be a battle down the stretch for a lot of big battles. One more to ask you about is the top player in Utah who'll be in Aggieland this weekend. That's five star wide receiver Jerome Miles. He will take in that top 20 matchup between Texas A&M and Notre Dame, which I believe is where you're going tonight. Tom joining us from a hotel room right now. How are the Aggies feeling about their chances to land Miles? Yeah I spent the last couple of days checking out A&M Austin here at Texas. So it's been fun. But this one's going to be a little weird because I believe Jerome Miles was injured last night Friday night in his game. So I don't know necessarily if that's going to impact his travel. But all week over the last couple of weeks, really, he's been lined up and scheduled to be at A&M. That's a massive, massive visit for him. And honestly, with Texas A&M it's kind of interesting. I feel great about them landing his top 247 quarterback in the class of 2026, Helaman Kasuga this weekend. So it could happen sooner rather than later. So obviously that's going to play a factor with Jerome Miles potentially playing together at the next level. But moving forward, keep an eye on USC's visiting there in September. Keep an eye on Georgia. He'll be there in October. Utah, Michigan and Ohio State is definite dark horse in this one as well, so a long way to go. He's super coveted newly minted, five star big, big time player in Jerome Miles. This is the time of year those five star prospects really get their airline miles going on visits across the country, wherever they are. Tom, we know you'll be all over it.
