WELL, LET ME JUST TELL YOU THIS, ERICA. THE FIRST ROUND OF BUSSES JUST HEADED OVER TO THE REC CENTER. PARENTS RUSHED OVER HERE ONCE THEY GOT WORD FROM THEIR CHILDREN INSIDE. THIS IS AN ELEMENTARY SCHOOL. THIS IS WHAT WE KNOW SO FAR. THAT REPORTS OF AN UNKNOWN MALE INSIDE THE SCHOOL LED TO AN IMMEDIATE LOCKDOWN. PITTSBURGH POLICE BEGAN SEARCHING THE BUILDING WHILE WORRIED PARENTS GATHERED OUTSIDE, SOME STANDING OUT HERE FOR MORE THAN AN HOUR, HOPING THEIR WORST FEARS DON'T COME TRUE. I SPOKE WITH ONE FATHER WHOSE SON IS A TEACHER. >> IT SCARED ME TO DEATH TO KNOW THEY'RE GOING TO GO IN THE SCHOOL ROOM. AND THEN I HAVE TO BE SOMEWHERE, GET A CALL AND SAY I LOSE ONE OF MY CHILDREN. YOU KNOW, IT'S VERY HARD. IT'S VERY HARD. AND I WISH THEY WOULD DO SOMETHING BETTER FOR THE SCHOOL DISTRICT SECURITY. WHATEVER THEY PLAN TO DO, DO SOMETHING GOOD. >> I HOPE PARENTS ARE NOW HEADING TO THE BROOKLINE REC CENTER TO PICK UP THEIR KIDS. CHILDREN WILL BE BUSED TO THE CENTER CLASS BY CLASS. NOW PEOPLE HERE ARE UNDOUBTEDLY RELIEVED, AND THIS HAS TAKEN AN EMOTIONAL TOLL ON THEM. AND JUST TO KEEP IN MIND THAT JUST A FEW DAYS AGO, YOU DID HAVE THAT SCHOOL SHOOTING IN GEORGIA.
