today we're going to look at some mid and late round running backs that are climbing draft boards that I'm drafting in my leagues right now I'm going to talk ball on them we're going to discuss strategy like we always do we do more than talk about the players we talk about the draft ranges their range of outcomes the other players on the board other options and everything else before we starting off Alvin kamaro's got a ton of value rb1 18 off the board round seven draft Capital but home League drafts will be different but mid round draft capital is where he's pegged at and he's also going in a spot of drafts where the wide receivers are tearing off the wide receivers are more like upside plays that are a little bit more expensive more than likely going to hit than the other wide receivers who are considered upside players later on down the board Alvin camra though going to be using the passing game going to be getting opportunity until it stops happening expect him to get volume until he gets hurt or until something happens that's not a prediction that's just real life for running backs expect them to get five six seven targets a game pushing a 20% Target share expect him to have a good route participation rate until something changes and he's going at a good discount I like him good as an rb2 I like him good as one of those running backs you're looking to get if you're going ZB like if you're straight up hammering wide receivers middle rounds you're looking at running backs he's one of the running backs I'm breaking my Z RB bubble 4 Alvin C is one of those guys if I'm going here RB if I'm getting my top running back early and then I'm hammering wide receivers and tight ends he's a guy I'm but lusting that RB bubble for to break back into those running backs he is one of those guys that is the strategy with him he's a good value even if it's like round six late round five in your home League Draft and you're looking at wide receivers and wide receivers really starting get Icky there for you and nobody's really falling good time to go with Alvin Kamar good time to get your RB 2 maybe even rb3 if you're going robust RB you might not be getting Alvin Kamar but how ADP is laying down right now not many people are going to go robust RB as years passed but if you are you might be looking wide receiver in this range Alva Kamar though I like him here in this spot at this price same thing with Aaron Jones maybe a shade Less in the fields department for him but round seven draft capital I think in home League drafts considering Sam darnold he's gonna allow you to get you a discount on Aaron Jones because less people are gonna be excited about the Vikings offense potentially in a home League Draft so he's going to float around that round seven draft capital in ADP in home leagues there's no such thing as home League ADP so you kind of got to look at ADP from Underdog and other sites and just try and guess it Aaron Jones rb19 off the board middle round pick and he's going in that area where people are speculating taking gambles at wide receiver here's a good spot to Pivot the running back get your rb2 rb3 depending on your build if you're going ZB if you get him Alvin Kamar you're looking pretty good you're looking very good especially if you're jacked up at wide receiver if you're supremely jacked up a wide receiver and you're rolling with three wide receiver ones every week and now you're getting two running backs here that are getting a lot of volume think about it running backs get hurt running backs get hurt often most running backs Miss two to three weeks out of the Year some of them miss a lot more and if you're paying a lot for a running back you got that in Jeopardy for what you're drafting here so if you're getting a good running back here that's getting volume at a discount you're drafting good Touches at a discount here he's going to get volume in the pass game 3.8 targets per game last year in Green Bay should see something like this with the Vikings this is an offense that is fast-paced last year top five in the league and pace of play years prior top three the two years prior to that so last three years top five more like top three-ish and Pace a play that being said this team identifies with being fastpaced they're going to try to get the ball out they're going to try and be faster paced even with a downer at quarterback play they're still going to try and move the ball they still got Justin Jefferson Aaron Jones is going to get touches and you're paying a cheap price for a good amount of touches Dave Montgomery his ADP is actually bumping up a little bit more like round sixish a little bit more expensive due to the jir Gibbs injury rumor has that jir Gibbs is going to be backed around week one that is a rumor that has been stated in the media don't know if that's going to be 100% true cuz we do not know till the start of week one but daveid Montgomery nonetheless just look at the production down there just look at that look at what you're paying upper mid round pick but still at a good price tag you know that he's going to get touches you know he's going to get work around the goal line he's going to get opportunities he's probably going to hover around 14 points a game 13 14 15 somewhere around there he'll have some pop off weeks where he's an rb1 he'll have those weeks where he's making you a head scratcher for jir Gibbs because the game script that week glowed more for David mcgomery they're going to use these guys interchangeably jir Gibbs should pop off more this year but David mcgomery should still get opportunities he's good between the tackles he's a top tier meat shield for jir Gibbs should get workload Raheem Mo St too cheap and you're paying a ton for Deon a chen you're paying a ton for him where he moer round eight round seven later mid- round pick in your draft afterthought but can give you good production has a little bit of an injury history but still where you're drafting him at doesn't matter it doesn't really matter all running backs got an injury history and he's going to middle rounds we're part of the Dolphins good yards per carry last year at 3 4 two Targets a game but this is a fast-paced offense he'll get looks around the goal line he's going to be productive if he's your rb2 you're sitting pretty if you're drafting a running back in round seven and round eight as your rb1 and rb2 and you just slammed up wide receivers you're a lead out wide receiver in your league and if you can hit in round seven and round eight with a Raheem moer you're looking good you're looking good round seven round eight maybe it's more like round six round seven in your drafts and your home League drafts with your friends is pretty juicy at running back you're getting good production you can get a good rb2 you can get two running backs there and just light it up at wide receiver and starts however you want to build it you can win with different builds look at him as builds look at him at Legos building a fancy team think about Madden building your franchise there's a million ways you can win it rahem Mo stays healthy on the field playing with the dolphins fast-paced offense look at that discount he's valued as a cheap cheap rb2 rb3 running back right now you can get good production as you see down there out of him 18 points per game when healthy on the field through weeks 1 through 16 Raheem moer a guy to look at zamir white rb23 round eight draft Capital he's going to get the touches top three in Opportunity share in the league from weeks 15 to 18 getting workload getting opportunity he's going to still get that the beat Riders are excited about him they're calling him Zeus on the field the the crowd's going wild in the joint practices and in training camp about him he's going to get opportunities going to get touches and you can dance without in the middle round you're drafting cheap touches here you're drafting cheap opportunity going to get the ball up the gut a lot maybe a little bit more opportunities for touchdowns we didn't have many of them in the back nine there so something should happen to where he should get a little bit more opportunity for that 21 rushing attempts per game with Jacobs out we could see that this year as well Samir white could get a lot of work Joe Mixon we're spending a little bit up here at running back round six on Underdog but more like round fiveish in your home leagues maybe even round four the thing about this let's just say your league pays up for him in round four or you pay up for him in round four because running backs just went ham in your league you could still go wide receiver wide receiver wide receiver Joe Mixon and you're rolling with three very good wide receiver iers you got an rb1 here who's going to get touches and a good offense look at the stats down there look at the rb1 weeks and the back half of the Season look at the low games you're probably going to see something like that and now you got to build wide receiver wide receiver wide receiver three good wide receivers a good rb1 who's going to get similar touches than the guys you drafted where you drafted those Elite wide receivers at then you could probably wait another round get some of the other running backs we just talked about your team's looking good your team's looking good that's why we talk about strategy it's not player good versus player bad 6 weeks into the season half these guys are going to be hurt anyways so let's talk strategy on how to build the team how to build the team how to manipulate the ADP how people are drafting you know how your league works you know if people pay up for running backs in your league you know if they don't some League are different than others you need to know that that's not my job that's your job because you're in the league but if they are and you catch them at round four you can go three wide receivers if he falls back a bit you can get three wide receivers a tight end four wide receivers another running back whatever it is but he's going at a good discount considering the situation considering what he's been doing recently you got some opportunity here Rashad white very similar like if I'm drafting on the bend on the tail end of the snake my draft and it's round four round five or something like that if I didn't get him and Mixon on top of a bunch of good wide receivers because he's going to be using the passing game he's going to get more opportunities not the most efficient running back per touch but if he was you'd be paying second round first round pick for him because he was getting good opportunities here 15.8 Rush attempts per game 4.1 targets out of the back field Us in the pass game they did not really bring in any running backs of consequence they drafted Bucky Irving but he's not a running back of consequence off free agency or top tier draft pick or anything like that this is the Rashad white show you can dance with this rb5 off the board that's Dirt Cheap you can get a lead at wide receiver still get good touches from your running back position you even get two at this price range if things fall your way Trey Benson is a supreme upside play I like James Connor as a run run back I like him a lot he's very productive he's a good running back but running backs get hurt he's an older running back things happen Trey Benson is a tremendous upside play once you get to the Double Digit rounds with these running backs start looking for more upside you should have at least one rookie running back on your team you should have at least a couple stash plays at the running back position on your team once we get one two three weeks into the season some of these running backs are going to get hurt and you want the running backs already on your roster with Supreme upside 43 speed top draft picks and recent drafts guys that could Trend up as big trade Targets in your league if they get more opportunity you're not just drafting them for production potential trades in the future because if something happens to James Conor there could be somebody in your league that could go off for Trey Benson maybe trade you Elite wide receiver or something stupid we're talking home League drafts dumb things happen in home League drafts and everybody's going to be talking him up they're going to be talking up the draft Capital decent draft Capital this year's draft 4-3 speed good size good between the tackles has some popping step on top of that upside for days in this offense too could be a home run hitter later on down the line ray Davis same thing but much cheaper he's good in pass protection he's going to earn his way on the field we still got a lot of preseason to go so if he sucks this weekend just disregard this maybe maybe not though he's got good popping step he's got good Vision he has fumbled a little bit in training camp but James Cook has as well that's just something we've seen out this backfield we talked about that that's why we look at the training camp videos and look at training camp in depth especially for these young guys Ray Davis is a very dependable running back in the pass blocking department and with his vision and with that being said that's going to allow him to be on the field they tried to get the ghost of Leonard Fett and a bunch of other old running backs last year to fill that AR rb2 roll they won an rb1b back there to share the workload with James Cook they showed their cards last year with that and they showed it with this draft pick Ray Davis is going to get opportunities and a cheap lottery ticket Blake corm probably the most NFL ready running back in this year's draft good between the tackles Dependable something happens to kyen Williams everybody's going to want Blake km if you have kyen Williams at this price double digit rounds you're going to want Blake korm I would try to get Blake korm I would have him on my team because I know if kyen Williams goes down he's getting a ton of touches they ran Ken Williams down to the ground last year there were some games he got 30 opportunities or more they're going to give him a lot of touches he's NFL ready he's good to go he's good in the passing game at All Phases the thing about Blake Corum he's waiting for Ken Williams but this is an expensive lottery ticket but we worth the grab and look at this round here Jerry Judy Mike Williams wide receivers of consequence I do like some of the running backs here but upside plays drone Ford's pretty safe but if you're looking for an upside play Blake corum's a guy to look at brillan Allen Dirt Cheap upside play breea goes down brayan Allen's going to be a guy and he could be a guy that is stable Standalone between the goal line between the end zone getting goal line touches siphoning that workload because he's looking damn good in training camp he's got pop in the step he's looking good between the tackles he's not going to get a lot of work in the passing game I imagine some of that's going to go to Malachi Corley if something happens to Bree Hall but he's going to get workload he's going to be the next guy up and he's going to be featured if something happens to Bree Hall he is going to be featured if something happens to Bree Hall another running back to look at super super cheap Jaylen right 43 speed on the Dolphins and the running backs on this offense get hurt from time to time Jaylen W's a running back to look at here if he gets opportunity he could smash for you he's cheap he's free and I want Dolphins stash players on good offenses it's simple it's simple he's got the speed he fits well with his offense that does not mean he's all world he wasn't like a supremely NFL ready running back coming out for the draft but he fits well with his offense and what they want to do those are 12 running back that I've been drafting in my leagues I do about six to 10 drafts a day on Underdog fantasy plus my other leagues as well so those are running backs I'm targeting a lot or I just end up drafting I'm also drafting a lot of the other running
