[Music] hey good Monday morning my friends I'm live chief meteorologist Mark TOA here with the m live morning weather update brought to you by Consumers Energy and an action-packed week ahead an action-packed summer weather week ahead hot very humid at times all the way through the end of the work week and uh several chances at rounds of severe thunderstorms one chance tomorrow morning in Northern lower Michigan another chance tomorrow afternoon or evening Southern lower Michigan even Wednesday still that storm system could bring a line of severe thunderstorms through somewhere and then the strongest situation of the week I would say comes in on Friday afternoon when a strong cold front and a much stronger upper air disturbance kind of setup will push on through so let's get on into it and hopefully you've got the air conditioner still in the windows or the pools still all filled up you are going to need it this week so let's start with the severe weather this is the severe weather threat from today now through tomorrow morning 8:00 a.m. and basically what you're seeing is that that the severe storms are most likely out in the dtas Minnesota Western Wisconsin and as they had our way they probably falter some in intensity this is the tornado threat today into tomorrow morning not much nothing for us but off to the West it's a threat here's the severe wind threat and basically it's showing a line of severe thunderstorms developing again out in South Dakota and moving towards toward the East now let's look at the second day which would be 8:00 a.m. tomorrow to 8 a.m. Wednesday all of lower Michigan in the slight chance level two chance of level five of five levels of severe weather 2% chance of a tornado northern half of the state 15% chance of severe thunderstorm winds all of lower Michigan and hail as well day three very rarely do we see three days where Michigan can have severe weather and day three it's in the Southeast half of lower Michigan and at that point they don't delineate between tornado or sever storms just give us a chance so here's your satellite picture we had a couple of isolated showers this morning those are drying up we're going to have a very summary hot day on the way and that can always pop an isolated thunderstorm but nothing that is really expect to become widespread today we're almost what we call capped that is where it's almost too hot a loft for widespread thunderstorms you could see this model shows 3 and 4 and 5:00 and 6 o' yes some isolated Thunders showers possible but again nothing put together and you see the first line is severe storms off to the West so now we pick up a model that goes out a little bit farther in time and it indicates again just isolated Thunders showers today but look at tomorrow morning it brings a line of severe storms across Wisconsin and into Northern Michigan and the up you know the timing will be crucial it this one brings it on tomorrow early afternoon and then the second line the middle of the night Wednesday night and some of the models bring the first batch tomorrow morning Northern lower Michigan Traver City North through the up then the second line a little bit earlier then a third line on Wednesday and I think that's certainly possible because when you look at this upper airflow see the Kink and the jet stream that's Wednesday afternoon more likely an upper air disturbance and then look at what I'm talking about on Friday so this is a stronger disturbance this is Thursday into Friday and then of course we go to the weekend and a little bit cooler but I'm not thinking it's real cold per se but I think it drops back to 70s and 80s and comfortable humidity now we jump to the European which we don't really like in the short term for these clumps of thunderstorms so kind of ignore this noise although it does show Wednesday thunderstorms so I would say Tuesday and Wednesday thunderstorms these are one or two hour rounds in any one spot and then this is the Friday cold front in the afternoon this is Friday afternoon to early evening when a cold front will be most active and it shows the east Southeast part of the state it's swings through then we get into the weekend Saturday dry Sunday maybe a spotty shower and Labor Day looks like it could be dry so we might be shaping up for pretty good Labor Day weekend today in the low 90s easily tomorrow in the low 90s easily if not mid90s some places Wednesday still 90ish in the South maybe cooler up across up far Northern lower then Thursday the warmth surges back northward low to mid 80s and humid in Traverse City and all of Northern lower Michigan and then by Friday hot and hubit in the Southeast starting to cool off in the Northwest this is Saturday we'll take that for Saturday we'll take that for September 1st right 80 to 85° and then Sunday again maybe stair stepping down just to touch this is the dupoint forecast so when is the humidity break probably not until Friday night or Saturday hey good morning Robert Bailey from Sanford thanks for saying hi he Maris Rivers uh and Suzanne Gaby good morning Sher Gregory so this is today we're very humid due points in the upper 60s and low 70s tomorrow very humid this is the afternoon due points in the low 70s solidly into the evening hours very humid very very humid on Tuesday probably one of the most humid days Wednesday due points in the 70s Thursday due points in the 70s you don't even see the drier air yet on the western Horizon so we have ourselves a good old summer hot humid occasionally stormy week on the way from Michigan all through it all the way to probably Friday night or so I'll keep you updated on that here on M live and thanks for joining me on the M live morning weather update brought to you by Consumers Energy I'm M live chief meteorologist Mark Tor grosa have yourselves a great Monday find a pool bye
