Tornado touches down in Ayr, Ont. causing extensive damage

tornado is touchdown in air a small town between Cambridge and Woodstock a team from Western University confirmed that tornado a touch down this morning causing damage to the area Sean Callen joins us live from air with the details Sean what are you seeing right now well Adam what I can tell you what I'm looking at right now take a look at this tree this is just one example of trees that are down all over this road right here and this is really the main area where the tornado touched down around 11:00 this morning as you take a look around cleanup is already underway a lot of people in this neighborhood are walking around really assessing the damage waterl Regional Police say they received reports of a tornado touching down around 11:00 this morning a lot of uh trees came down as well as a lot of power lines also coming down so far no reports of any injuries according to waterl Regional Police a lot of businesses were also damaged as as well as the roof of the Home Hardware coming off so people who live on the street tell me it happened really fast it was all around 11:00 this morning they heard a lot of wind a lot of noise and it was all over within 5 minutes here's what they had to say uh we got the warning on our phones about 10:42 and about 10:45 it stripped through the backyard did it cause a lot of damage to your backyard yes we've got pretty much every tree we have on our property is down uh just missed my husband's truck uh big one two big trees uprooted out front um our neighbors from two doors down all their shingles are in our backyard our neighbor shed is in our backyard our trampoline watched it go up and over it's in pieces I was inside playing video games I looked outside see a lot of things spinning like the wind picking up everything on the road so uh I got my family we all went downstairs it was like 5 Seconds um by the time like we came back up looked out the windows uh everything was ripped out of the ground uh just everything was ruined well I just left Horton just had a copy I was coming down I I got the amber alert and next thing you know I looked to my left and I was in it it was facing me it probably the width of the road coming down Greenfield Road so I just turned around did a UI and bucked it I probably did 150 down down the road there people were looking at me I'm not sure if they SE it i' seen them slow down but I wasn't hanging around to find out my car was shaking there was something bouncing off it but it was yeah I've never seen a tornado in my life that was was quite the experience actually and waterl Regional Police are also saying that A Train derailed in the area because of the tornado once again no injuries to report
